Negative experience: i have been going for about 6 months now and i must say the changing rooms absolutely pong. The gym is too small, there is too much cardio machines, that are rarely used which could be instead replaced with some useful weighlifting equipment and there is always at least one broken machine. And as for the swimming pool it reeks of urine and like you would contract herpes if you went swimming. I did go swimming one time and afterwards i had cholera. Do not recommend drinking the water as i have spotted a few bugs in there. But in the end, if the amoebas dont kill you then the aids in the water will. To add to this there is a group of people in the gym that will take 10mins inbetween sets to just walk around and talk to there friends. They think they have authority just because they are friends with a manager. It really brings down the overall gym vibe when your waiting to use a piece of equipment for 30-40mins. I think the gym should be completely remodelled because there is too much cardio equipment, which never gets close to being full capacity however on some days its not worth it to come to the gyms if your plan is to lift weights.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just signed up to the gym here and it’s great value for money. Plenty of group classes to choose from and lovely staff. Also love how easy it is to use the Halo app for booking classes.

Positive experience: Took a group of 11-14yr olds, pool was too small average wave machine and lots of very small kids using it(which is fine but not a great mix)

Fantastic experience: Really clean everywhere..from foyer to changing rooms. Lots of staff around the pool edge and elsewhere. Place feels more open and spacious. I think removing all the barriers at the entrance and the corridors has helped.

Positive experience: Leisure is fine. Their app to book however is far from fit for purpose. Best to call.

Negative experience: great swim however the main pool was closed when on website it said it was open so very disappointing. excited to have a dive but there aren’t any diving boards any more so false advertising

Negative experience: I fancied a swim, thinking of going regularly; something I'd enjoyed in the past. Went in at about 10:30am on a Wednesday only to be told I'd have to wait till at least 12 as as it was fully booked for kiddies & schools. This was a bit annoying as I'd paid for two hours parking. What a ridiculous system....

Fantastic experience: 3 different pool areas with lots of kids activities and as a big kid I enjoyed first playing with the grandkids, waterslide, water cannons even a bit of hydro therapy. The 2nd pool was a bit deeper and quieter easy access to the water down steps and a luxury swim. Then abandon the grandkids into the adult pool for the lane swim. 2hrs of great fun and excercise followed by excellent changing/shower facilities to a small but welcoming cafe. Sadly tap and pay only, but still reasonably priced a nice way to end the visit.

Positive experience: Pool is clean and tidy always life guards on site. Enjoyed our last visit as the kids pool was open with lots of toys to play with. Would be nice if they was more baby swimming lessons during the school holidays though as a teachers assistant there's not been anything on during the holidays.

Negative experience: Can never book in. Website is poorly paid out and unresponsive. Can't book swimming unless your a member and when I was a member it was always fully booked. They also never answer the phone. I use Monmouth instead.

Positive experience: It's a great place for kids and experienced swimmers with a choice of 2 pools and a seperate splash pool. The changing rooms are a bit manky and can get v crowded. Some thieving whatnot nicked my grand daughters swimming noodle whilst she was distracted putting on her shoes. Shame.

Fantastic experience: Honestly best experience ever today I grow up going to this swimming so be able to take my son there now is lovely, Toke my son to tots play, toke phone in to take a photo unfortunately they don’t allow phones fully understandable but the effort the gentleman running to group went to was above an beyond a lovely women from reception came to take a photo of me and my boy just so I have a photo for memories, nicest thing anyone has for me so honestly can’t thank the team enough, The tots play was absolutely brilliant my little boy absolutely loved it! An It was lovely an clean throw-out honestly couldn’t recommend enough!

Negative experience: The website for this place is utterly appalling. A horrid user experience and it took me several devices trying to book the simplest thing imaginable and I gave up in the end. And no one available to answer the phone.

Negative experience: Should be and could so much better, rundown in every way as soon as you step in to changing rooms and beyond.

Positive experience: Decent facilities but young staff struggle when issues arise

Fantastic experience: Having swimming lessons, great instructor, Tracey, patient and helpful. Couldn't even put my face under water when first started and now actually swimming a few strokes without any floatation support

Negative experience: Tried the quiet swim session. Perhaps I had expected too much but it was basically a plunge pool for a couple of people. Fine for autistic children and disabled people but sadly not big enough to do proper lanes. When you add the fact that you have to pay for parking as well, then I get better value for money in Monmouth or Malvern. Also, I found it was quite grubby in the showers and changing rooms. Won't be returning.

Fantastic experience: I generally go for lane swimming. Using the app to book is easy and when you go you can use the app to check in. The facilities are good and clean. Numbers limited for the lane swimming sessions, which is good, doesn't get to over crowded. During school holidays I have taken my grandson to use the leisure pool with the flume. Again booking easy online. I have only used the pool facilities so can't comment on other facilities at the Leisure Pool.

Positive experience: Please sort out the entry point to the gym, most of the time I have to bother the reception staff to be let in

Negative experience: Tried to book a session for my two small children (swim tots). Unfortunately, the older one, I was told, was too old. She doesn't swim and would have happily joined in, but they wouldn't make an exception. Swimming doesn't seem available to everyone even these days. Very disappointing!

Positive experience: Great facility and staff but shame that the spa has closed permanently

Fantastic experience: Loved it! We came here on Sunday 26th for Community free event day. It was our first time trying the leisure pool and outdoor tennis and we loved it. We are going to sign up for the pool sessions. They have young children friendly activities. They also have good facilities, including lockers, changing rooms, showers and family changing and shower rooms. Some of the lockers may be out of order, but they have plenty that are working. So, all good.

Fantastic experience: The Waves and Slide activitiy is perfect for kids. Nice atmosphere, our top is wave time. Recommend.

Negative experience: Website is completely indecipherable (and I'm an IT Administrator!!!) and reception NEVER pickup the phone. All I want to do is go for a swim and cannot find any information about times.

Negative experience: No evidence of the improvements made to the pool during its year of closure. Most of the lockers are broken or have no keys. The changing rooms don't feel clean and the pool floor is utterly disgusting. There is a sand at the bottom of it in places! Vile experience and I won't be going back- despite the exercise you feel less healthy for going!

Positive experience: This place is such a shame. Nothing invested back in to facilities as everything is tired and broken. Not very clean, same coffee stain in spectators area for 6 months now. Shame as it could be so much better than it is.

Negative experience: KIDS SWIMMING LESSONS.....not the best . They tell you your child has done well and is moving up to the next stage but when you try and book you child Into the next stage there isn't any availability. My son has worked so hard to move up to the next stage but he can't move up as the there is no availability , I have one really disappointed child. The receptionist said all you can do is keep ringing up . Think I will be looking for another swimming instructor.

Positive experience: Cool place but huge concern on never answering the phone. There needs to be someone sat at the desk actually doing phone calls specifically. Several times we've called and no reply, huge let down

Negative experience: Rudest staff I've ever met. The guy on the front desk is a joke and his customer skills are shocking!! I've tried ringing for a few days to book but no one answers phones or emails. I explained my situation and they wernt really bothered. Wouldn't waste my money here anymore.

Negative experience: Now finally after covid and the new booking-in LAW the pool is unusable, Because it's impossible just to book in for a casual lay in the pool or go in the long pool for a few laps, I guess I'll have to find another pool, further away from Hereford

Positive experience: Wave machine not working but didn't stop us having fun. Pool was warm for a change. Life guards friendly as always. Only thing that let it down was we only had cash and they were refusing cash only card so we were unable to buy anything in the cafe after which is crazy as every shop in town will accept cash.

Fantastic experience: Located on the Cities edge Halo has a cllean pool and shower facilities, upto date Gym equipment with friendly knowledgeable instructors, a small Cafe with good food with seating inside and out. Located close to the river Wye with nice walks along its banks.

Negative experience: Dirty smelly changing rooms and toilets, the smell of urine is unreal. Also the wave pool has a filthy tide mark you can write your name in, along with sharp broken plastic vent that after I reported over 6 months ago is still broken

Fantastic experience: Spacious, well-equipped and air conditioned gym. Beats some private facilities round the city. Very accommodating staff.

Positive experience: It's a good pool for being In a rural city. Avoid peak times as changing rooms get busy. Also if you need a family room for young/disabled person. There is some I believe with privet showers but again avoid at peak times as can be dusy. Be careful of wet slippy changing tool floors. Especially for young or disabled. Besides that great place. They have an offer for disabled people and others on certain benifits only costs 2.40 I think each visit for myself and free for under 4s I believe.

Positive experience: Disappointed on this visit. Changing room floors felt very slimy, leaving us having to hold on to the walls for support. Main Pool was sectioned off into one way lanes, leaving it very narrow to swim, especially as I'd gone with with someone. There wasn't enough room for two of us to swim side by side to enable us to talk - it spoilt the occasion and has left us not wanting to go back. I checked with a Lifeguard to find out a better time to go when it's not sectioned off, and was told that it's sectioned off all the time now. Two out of four of the Ladies toilet cubicle doors were locked from the inside when we arrived. I reported this to 3 different members of staff and after our swimming session, they were still locked - not practical as there were also school swimming lessons in progress.

Fantastic experience: Great fun pool for the family, wave machine is ace, water slide fun and all seemed clean and tidy.great hot showers, all loved by the children. Top swimming pool fun!

Negative experience: Well..... where to start.....its not the most pleasant of swimming pools..... always feels a little grungy and grubby..... they have done up the change areas but they still look like you could catch something..... the pools are interesting...... same large water slide that's been there since the beginning of mankind...... it's always freezing cold water even in the leisure pool part that babies go in!! I can honestly say I would sooner travel to another pool in another town than go in here!!
