Positive experience: Started from 27th December. Love the vibes and instruments. And good there is locker so that i dont need to carry my stuffs. Would appreciate more if we have atleast free water (not the bottle).

Negative experience: Its been two months these hand bars are broken. No ones care about it. BTW environment is good. Gym is clean. But u have to think about instruments.
Hi Zakria, thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We are equally as disappointed when, from time to time, things go wrong and equipment has to be placed out of order. Regular maintenance checks are undertaken, and any issues identified are escalated to engineers straight away. Sometimes, there may be a small wait whilst engineers attend to fix any issues, but we endeavour to resolve these as soon as possible. Positive experience: Great little gym, not the biggest but it's got everything you need. Something needs doing about the people during the night of people abusing their codes letting 3 or 4 of their mates come for a free workout and abusing the machines. Might suggest using the pod systems like other gyms have

Negative experience: The gym itself has a good atmosphere, which I appreciate. However, when I used the hoops, I ended up with black gunk all over my hands, suggesting the equipment isn't cleaned regularly. I attend most of the Pure Gyms in the area regularly, and this one is by far the most overcrowded in terms of equipment. They could definitely benefit from rethinking the layout and possibly reducing the number of machines. Using the track is difficult because machines encroach on the space, and anyone using the lat pull-down ends up leaning over the track. Despite this, I carried on with my workout. Most of the machines seemed to be in decent condition, and the gym space was generally tidy, though not as tidy as the central and Brunswick locations. Unfortunately, the disabled shower was awful, with thick black grime on the floor, making it feel risky to step on. Additionally, the shower itself was cold, which would be particularly difficult for anyone with nerve issues. Overall, I’d give the gym another chance, but I think there needs to be an overhaul of the cleaning systems and more cleaning stations for gym users. This is the first Pure Gym I've visited where I couldn't find paper towels and spray bottles, which was quite disappointing. More attention to cleanliness and better organization of the equipment would significantly improve the experience.

Positive experience: Everything great except there's no soap in the men's bathroom in the evening quite a lot of the time so lots of germs floating about!

Negative experience: Machines out of order for months, one cloth to clean machines for the whole gym and sometimes they have cleaning spray and sometimes they don’t. If you ask for tissue or wipes to clean the machine after use, staff tell you to go a get toilet role. Machines and gym hardly cleaned climbmills been dusty since it opened. Only 2 out of 4 work now. Aintree have much better cleaning facilities

Negative experience: Good equipment and classes but the gym is filthy. Managers don’t care, have reported numerous issues including a constantly running two months ago, still the same issues. Absolutely rank place

Fantastic experience: Been a member for a few months now stones throw from home loads of weights and equipment so you are never really waiting around in between sets. No thrills gym everything you need without the extras classes are included in the membership no sauna swimming etc but you get what you pay for. Bosh.

Positive experience: Liverpool Lodge Lane PureGym is tiresome music is inadequately loud. It is impossible to be in the changing room because the music is also too loud. I chose another gym, there is also music, but at a moderate volume.

Positive experience: The gym is well equipped and has everything you need for a great workout. This is not the first PureGym I have visited however I find this one gets annoyingly busy, if you are going outside of the peak hours then you will have a great time but if you go anywhere between 4-9 prepare for a peak experience.

Negative experience: This place needs to be cleaned. I came to the gym on Sunday and there was some gunk in front of the lockers. Same gunk is still there a couple days later. The bathrooms were flooded with splashed water, dirty counters, and the hand soap smells foul, like rotten popcorn. There’s also no cleaning station for the workout equipment, which was standard even pre covid at other Puregyms I’ve attended. Feels really gross to not be able to wipe down equipment after a large sweaty man has been using it!

Negative experience: I joined Puregym when it opened in summer 23 with their good value opening offer for one year. I won't be renewing. It started off great, because of course it did, it was new, but the cracks really began to show by September 2023 when the university student rush stretched numbers. I'm astounded at how badly downhill it's gone in a matter of months. Ever since then the place has been badly maintained and absolutely disgusting in terms of cleanliness. I don't know if there's not enough staff or they've just given up on their jobs. Pictured is the state of the women's toilets, which if you scroll down in the reviews a little you'll see similar examples from months ago, and the same parroting off Puregym about how they'll "make improvements". The dryer has been broken for months, the taps stuck on, water all over floors, litter, no toilet paper, and I won't even mention the showers. Get new cleaners or get more cleaners, because something isn't working. What's perhaps most insulting is the occasional survey they send out asking for your opinion, which I give, explain all the issues and get some lip service back about how they're "striving to improve". You're not doing jack. Stop lying. You don't care about your customers. Here's a very simple and easy solution to the majority of your problems: get your staff to actually use and test your machines once a day. It's not my job to have to report your dangerously broken equipment and warn other gym goers not to use it when you don't even bother marking it as "out of order". Some stuff like the hip abduction has been dangerously broken for weeks. How have none of your staff noticed? I can't report things out of hours because there are no staff, and when I DO email about it it's ignored. So many things I've had to fix myself because God knows you're not going to do it. I'm 100% returning to JD unless a colossal improvement is made between now and when the year subscription is up. JD had it's problems, but I'll say this for them, they were NEVER dirty and filthy, staff were visible, and broken machines were marked as such and fixed. Sort it out or you'll be struggling in summer when everyone's had enough. Puregym? Pure something. Edit: in response to the below reply from Puregym, I HAVE raised these concerns with the management, as I've already said, via your useless surveys you reply back to with false intentions of doing anything, and I've emailed directly about broken equipment. Maybe you should put the same effort into actually doing something about your awful gym as you do making excuses.

Negative experience: Just go to JD Gyms also this is another establishment that enjoys robbing their vulnerable customers through direct debit, I have been robbed of £100 from this company. When a similar thing happened with JD, they happily refunded me but Pure Gyms website has very detailed policies about not giving their money back so I doubt they will be as kind as JD. As if they don’t make enough money.

Negative experience: Took them 3 months to fix the Pec Fly machine, for starters. The music is almost always way too loud, can't talk to whomever is close to you, so good luck trying to get tips to correct your form. The staff spends more time hanging arround and looking at their phones instead of doing something useful to keep the gym organized. There is not enough work being done to justify the prices of the membership.

Positive experience: Honest review. Can’t go wrong gym wise for the monthly fee. Just keep away at peak times due to it getting busy which is understandable. The downfall is the hygiene in the changing rooms. You need a hepatitis A jab to use the toilets and showers. They just don’t get cleaned and checked enough times especially during peak times. As an example the gents changing area was checked at 1400hrs on the Friday and hadn’t been checked again Saturday morning. If this improves you can’t go wrong.

Positive experience: Recently joined here from jd gyms round the corner, i have to say im very disappointed ive been in quiet a few gyms over the years, and yet they have the staff station in the middle of the gym, there coats shoes coffee cups drink bottles and even food they were playing paper aeroplanes the other day, very unprofessional, do they not have a staff room to do this in, puts me off going, the gym its self is quiet, not much equipment either, im considering going back to jd, sorry pure gym you need to do better.

Fantastic experience: I Love this gym! Staff are very friendly and helpful, equipment is brand new and everything I need. Lighting is not so bright that I'm embarrassed with my effort, air temp is perfect. 12 sessions as of today over 6 weeks, already shower good signs of getting stronger. I'm 67!

Negative experience: First day at the gym and no hot water in the showers , lads was saying it’s not first time so probably cheap membership but no hot water in the showers .. disappointed

We have recently made slight changes to this area, looking at improving energy efficiency. This is both to control our energy usage, but also with a look to reduce our carbon footprint. Our showers are now set at a temperature of 33oC and have a flow rate of 5 litres per minute. These parameters are regularly monitored and we also have regular checks carried out on boilers and associated equipment to ensure the units are operating as they should be across all of our gyms. On occasion, we can get faults on our water system which is normal. When this happens, there is a process in place to ensure we arrange for our contractors to attend, investigate and resolve the faults and return the systems back to full working order within a timely manner. All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes. On occasion, we can get faults on our water system which is normal. When this happens, there is a process in place to ensure we arrange for our contractors to attend, investigate and resolve the faults and return the systems back to full working order within a timely manner. All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes. Positive experience: Just opened up so trying not to be too harsh. Negatives: 1. There are no cleaning stations at this gym unlike the Brunswick gym which is not good considering the funk emitted from certain gym-goers. 2. I haven’t been able to locate any toilets on the ground floor which may be a potential issue for someone with mobility issues who has to climb the stairs to the changing rooms at the back of the first floor. 3. There are items of equipment not available at this gym, which are available at other Puregym locations (Plate-loaded hack squats, Side lateral raise weight stack machines). 4. The Yanga water machine has been out of order for some time which is annoying as I am paying for a premium membership to access a service that has not been provided. Positives: 1. There are 4 or 5 deadlift stations. 2. The gym floor area is massive with an air conditioning system that works well during the summer months (unlike other locations which can get humid).
Fantastic experience: This gym has been a blessing. It has all the required equipment in correct amount to have a great workout experience. The trainers are great and changing rooms clean. Air conditioning is better than many other gyms.

Negative experience: Am really Disappointed with the layout of the Gym the way they have most Cardio in the front only one Recline Bike. Everyone looks at you when you enter the gym. It's to open it's like a Big cube you can hear everyone breathing because it's so open like an empty warehouse there's no music on the only thing you hear is peep stop start from every machine I just hope it gets better from here because the first impression isn't great. Most properly the worst layout gym I have been to. The Brunswick L8 is 10x better. Frustrated I had my expectations too high. It gets better the second day and half of the cardio machines are turned off changing rooms closed at night.. there missing a lot of equipment as well shoulder chest it's only the basic equipment available .
Fantastic experience: Great gym, offers on membership make it affordable, clean, tidy and great staff.
