Positive experience: Didn't see a single member of staff but I'm sure they were around. Booked online and downloaded the ticket onto my phone. The early afternoon prices start at £6.99. The seats are comfortable, screen two was a good size. Great way of seeing new films at reasonable prices.

Positive experience: Central Croydon cinema, offering the main stream content you might expect. The usual exhorbitantly-priced refreshments are available on site, but why pay their sky-high prices when there are supermarket express shops very close by in number to get your food & drink, unless you really like hot dog sausages that have been repeatedly heated and cooled over several days before sale, or £5 for a 'bucket' of 20 pence worth of popcorn. Too few floor staff, whilst inactive staff behind the counter doing nothing. Film ticket prices are bad enough, so why try and fleece on food - that is why no-one is buying it, because they know you profiteering business plan. 7 people watched the new film, launched that day. Screen 3 had 4-5 seats out of action owing to damge and vandalism; evocative of the establishment's attitude (why not use tear resistant fabrice for the seats?) and Croydon as the Wild West now. At least it didn't smell of stinky old socks, and the toilets are pretty clean. Thick end of £20 to see a film? I'll wait for the Blu-ray and save money, thanks.

Positive experience: Went to an artangel exhibition with artworks by hobbyists - lovely collection. The vue cinemas are on site with nice selection of movies.

Positive experience: Exhibition was interesting and different to anything we had been to before. The one thing that was lacking was any signs to say what some of the collections were about and any back story to who was responsible for them

Negative experience: Lift & escalator don't work

Fantastic experience: Large vanilla milkshake and movie are my favourite combo.

Positive experience: Went to vue here, was uncomfortable, and it's a small theatre. One of the escalators wasn't working. It is decorated nicely, only one member of staff at the kiosk, no one checking tickets, unfortunately someone was in our sit and didn't want to move and the film we chose wasn't great so the experience was tainted

Negative experience: Can u spend money and improve the place. It's dreadful. I just came out after watching a horror film. Walking through here made me feel like I'm living in the horror film

Positive experience: The staff at the counter were nice, and ladies toilets were surprisingly cleaner than I thought- that's about it. The screen for my showing was dirty, food on the seats we had to clean off. Seats are not that great, just seems like a run down cinema, escalators are a hit and miss. And parking I found so difficult, nothing by the complex. We had to park at one which is a 5 min walk away, not secured and £10 for 3 hours??

Positive experience: Can feel a bit empty during the daytime, but has a variety of screens on different levels which are all well-kept and clean. Good variety of food and drink but pricey as with most cinemas. Nice experience.

Positive experience: This is always my preferred cinema due to its very convenient location in the centre of Croydon near a tram stop. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The cinema is always clean, the screens are a good size, and it never gets busy so it's more relaxing than most cinemas. The escalators do need to get fixed though. I really don't understand why more people don't use this cinema, it would be a great loss to Croydon town centre if it wasn't there.

Positive experience: Grants Entertainment Center is great, we did have a church there, and this wasn't the first time to worshiped in the cinema

Negative experience: The overall experience was disappointing and has made me hesitant to return. The subpar conditions greatly impacted the movie enjoyment. The venue feels outdated and in dire need of renovation, with small screens that fail to deliver a satisfying cinematic experience.

Positive experience: When you fix up those lifts I will come back and give you the 5 stars you deserve

Negative experience: We were attending the Exciting Escapes escape room yesterday and we arrived a bit early, it was heavily raining outside and we were tired so we sat down on the floor by the venue to wait. We were only inside 'Grants of Croydon' for 5 minutes before a nasty jobsworth security guard shouted at us over the speakers to 'LEAVE IMMEDIATELY' threatening us for daring to wait for an event we were attending. If you want people to visit your run down dilapidated amusement area and have a good time maybe stop being openly hostile and ruining our afternoon. The Escape Room was great, though, this is a review of the place its situated in and it's awful, sort out your useless security guard.

Positive experience: Giving 3 stars cause it can do halfs. Staff were polite and helpful however no food service on the 1st floor and the escalators leading to the 2nd floor was closed so had to use the spiral stairs.

Negative experience: Escalators and lift out of order, so had to climb 3 flights of stairs, not a nice experience.

Positive experience: Reliable cinema chain. Great price as well! Escalators don't work though on one floor so you need to climb up and down to the very top floor which is where most of the viewings take place. Meanwhile toilets are standard. Dated but reliable. They do show a good selection of the latest movies with various times. Cinema hidden away and it does give you a trip down memory lane as you navigate through the place which now represents a ghost town. All in all, when you sit down and watch a movie, its really no different to watching it in a central london vue.

Positive experience: Bought a VIP seat and it had rips in the arm which was scratching my arm. Really needs a revamp

Positive experience: We went to see DC League of Super Pets . We booked online but found the collection machines were not printing when we arrived, so had to go to the counter anyway. It was very quiet. Escalators were not working. And it wasn't particularly clean. Not the Grants I used to know.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting. Escalators not working, extremely over priced drink, sticky carpets, filthy and decrepit. Needed a bath once home. Never, ever again.

Positive experience: Screen was nice and clean. Staffs were very polite and service was good. Only complaint is that there was no VUE staff at the gate and although very helpful, the security person who was there at the gate had no QR code scanner (QR code for online bookings) and I had to queue up again at the concessions to get the QR code scanned and tickets printed. It was written in the booking confirmation email that customers can directly go to the gate with the QR code. There was no mention about printing the tickets. If I remember correctly the same was advertised on the screens prior to the movie as well. Last but not least, the Escalators at Grants were not working during our visit.

Positive experience: This cinema is in a good location but it's in a sad state like the rest of Croydon high street.

Positive experience: It's in dire need of a restructure as it can be unclear for new customers to find where to buy a ticket. Viewing and sound quality is great though

Positive experience: What happened here?!! I had the opportunity to go into Croydon in the evening for a social meet up. We tried out a couple of pubs, one which we had to go past the cinema. Yes! A cinema in Croydon town centre. I didn't know there was one. Hadn't heard it mentioned in conversation or even by people who live in Croydon. We went in to the building, which turned out to be a ¿shopping mall, it was about 8pm but the place was deserted. Some shops obviously closed down. The whole place looked run-down..uncared for..neglected. Quite surprising for a town centre of such a big town. And the cinema.. the machines to buy cinema tickets or pick your pre-paid tickets were not working, the nearby desks were unmanned, it was unclear what to do next...it was unclear where the entrance to the cinema was..someone told us to go up the escalators. And there we found the cinema customer service staff. They were lovely. But the whole vibe for such an important part of the social fabric of any society is just not what it should be. It left me feeling sad.

Fantastic experience: Very easy to book tickets online.And very good customer service from the staff.You get to choose your seats at no extra cost.Great experience as always.Can't wait to enjoy the big screen again this half term

Positive experience: Nice and central location for a cinema. Just the decor is somewhat dated.

Positive experience: A decent venue. Unfortunately, this does not apply to maintenance of the building: escalators to level 2 have nor been working for at least 6 months now. They also have not ever been cleaned in that time.

Positive experience: a large cinema with plenty of screens and reasonably priced tickets.... unfortunately the foyer and entrance let it down as it's very dirty with popcorn all over the floor, out of service escalators and only one tiny lift.

Negative experience: Film was quite good but the building was evacuated before we got to the end

Positive experience: Decent theatre but didn't enjoy Dolby Atmos or Dolby Surround.. Also movie experience was like watching in a TV just bigger in size. Movie had blackbars which is not a theatre experience

Positive experience: East Croydon is the nearest station, a 10 minute walk, and the nearest tram stop is George St. Q Park offer a 20% discount to validated Vue cinema goers, and Wandle Rd NCP is also very close.

Negative experience: Just came here to watch a film, to find out the previous film had been delayed by 50 minutes, so have to wait in the hall. First time in my life I have to queue in a cinema like this -- Vue, did you learn from National Rail?

Positive experience: I prefer other Vue venues. You have to wait a while to get a lift as you need call a number to use the lift.

Fantastic experience: Great prices, lots of options, none of the screening were too busy.

Negative experience: Awful cinema to visit. No escalators working going up covered in popcorn through the treads ! So we walked up to first level. Machines on first level all 3 available broken not printing tickets and nobody manning the booth. Walked up broken escalators to next level and staff standing around chatting not jumping on the tills to help me or anyone lining up. Looked put out that I had disrupted their chat. Extortionate price for popcorn , 2 waters and tortillas ! £19 Then had to walk up escalators again as our screen 10 was at top. Visited the bathroom absolutely disgusting. Sinks blocked ,paper on floor rubbish not in bin just lying around sinks and this was visiting at 4pm. When I came out and used them at 6pm they were still in same state. If I come back to a VUE because I prefer ODEON much cleaner then but if I visit a VUE again it won't be Grants !

Fantastic experience: Good movie watching experience after nearly 2 years .. the self service ticket tills don't really work so best to straight to the pop corn counter and buy tickets there . Masks were optional and no time to die is an awesome movie.

Positive experience: Good seat + Good cinema experience + Cheaper ticket price = cost effective overall. That one star is for not starting on time. (I need somebody to tell me that starting the movie almost 30 minutes from the said time is the norm here in the UK.) Edit: Indeed, movies start here 15-30 minutes after scheduled time.
