The Glassworks: Opinions

Negative experience: A really disappointing experience. I love a manicure and thought I’d try the Glassworks for a change, I left after 10 minutes and won’t be returning. The therapist was lovely and professional, however the set up was poor. I was sat on a wooden chair, leaning over a low massage table, which I was unable to get my legs under- soon had aching shoulders and an uncomfortable behind. I was refunded £40 of the £55 paid - so effectively paid £15 for minimal nail shaping and a tiny bit of cuticle work - no soaking or exfoliation or any of the other bits listed as part of the experience. Will not be returning or recommending. Quite the opposite. I really expected more from an established Cambridge Spa attached to a nice hotel.

Positive experience: We went for a one-off treatment and hour in the spa while staying in Cambridge. That was more than enough time as it's a small venue and we wouldn't have wanted to be there if it was busy. However, given that it wasn't, we had did have a lovely experience. Great, relaxing view from the jacuzzi that allows for some people watching and an attentive, relaxing treatment. Definitely worse ways to spend a couple of hours!

Fantastic experience: Lovely oasis in Cambridge.

Positive experience: Came for a spa weekend with my partner and it did not disappoint. Spa wise the facilities are basic and we were not a fan of people walking past the spa and being able to look in to the jacuzzi area but the treatments more than made up for this. We had Katie P and Nikki as our therapists and we could not fault the treatments at all, we both agreed it was the best treatments we’ve ever had and both therapists were so accommodating, friendly and experienced. We will definitely be making the 1 hour trip back to stay in the hotel again and to have these treatments again!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic! Perfect hair colour. Booked with Chris. Totally recommend! Very happy

Fantastic experience: Had a really good pedicure experience today at 16:45 with Sam. It was my first ever pedicure experience and she made it feel much less awkward than I thought it would be, and even complimented my feet, which I thought would be awful given my lack of care for them. It was great to chat to someone who is clearly enjoying their work. I'm very happy with my finished nails and will be coming again!

Positive experience: Really enjoyed a spa day here with my partner - the facial and massage were brilliant, and the couples room was lovely and cosy. The spa area itself could do with some tlc, as it felt a little dated.

Fantastic experience: The Glassworks is such a cozy and relaxing place! Everything was perfect and all the staff were super welcoming and helpful, both on phone call when booking the treatment, and when I was welcomed in reception. Sam and her magic hands did wonders to my body. I feel so grateful and will surely be back for another massage! Spa and gym are clean and offer all the features you’d need. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful time at Glassworks! I had a combination treatment with a back massage and Elemis Biotech facial with Faye. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable and efficient. She took the time ask about any health concerns and to explain the treatments all of which were excellent. I left feeling like I was on a little de-stressed cloud! Thank you Faye and the friendly receptionist too! I will be back.

Fantastic experience: I had a great day here, 5/5. I went to use a voucher for a pre-graduation treat. I began with a group workout class with Emily who was absolutely fantastic. I loved the class and the vibe was very community orientated, encouraging and friendly which I loved. I then spent some time in the spa facilities. While the spa area is not huge, as the other reviews acknowledge, I found it lovely for a 30minute session across Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. I then showered and got ready, and headed to the restaurant next door for afternoon tea. The view was fab but I must admit the afternoon tea was yummy but very rich! Not something I would eat everyday :') but a nice treat nonetheless. As I was alone, I opted to have headphones on and do some reading, which worked well for me and was highly enjoyable. I then returned to the spa next door to have my treatment: a back, shoulder, arm, and hand massage. The masseuse was lovely. She then offered to do my lower legs to which I really needed! I then had an elemis facial. Having not had a facial before, I did not know what to expect, but it was so relaxing and the therapist gave me great after advice. Overall this was a great experience and treat. I found the staff very lovely and the changing room was good too. The whole experience was not overly fussy which I appreciated - it was chilled out. Would definitely return!

Negative experience: Unfortunately the machine for the Biotec treatment (£130) that I had booked was not working which I appreciate can happen but I would have expected to have been made aware of the issue prior to my appointment. The person who carried out the treatment did apologise for this and said that the manager would refund a part of what had been paid since it was not the same treatment that I had reserved. At the end of the session when I was leaving, I relayed this to the appropriate person who rather dismissively offered a £2 refund without once apologising but rather exuding an attitude that I was causing her a problem. Other members of staff were huddled around the desk at this point and I must say that it was quite intimidating. The fact of the matter is that I came to Cambridge for the Biotec treatment, booking a hotel as well and could have got a regular facial closer to home. It was reserved as a birthday treat by my family but did not really meet expectations. During my treatment, I didn’t feel as though there was a calming and relaxing atmosphere given that the lady doing the treatment phone rang and she was quite talkative and at several points mentioned that she was meant to be on lunch break instead of doing my treatment which I would not really expect. I have been to the spa a number of times, particularly for the Biotec treatment but I left feeling very disappointed. For a high-end establishment I do not feel that the experience reached the levels that should be expected especially given the less-than-interested attitude displayed by the staff. There were no apologies nor any willingness to try to find a solution. It certainly was not the birthday treat that I had hoped for and makes me wonder if I want to return in the future. Also, the spa itself was tiny, the two sauna rooms had a foul odour, jacuzzi was very small, not warm and finally the changing rooms were dirty.

Negative experience: I visited Glassworks spa with my partner as a Christmas treat for a 50 mins back and body massage followed by a 25 mins customised elemis facial with afternoon tea at SIX next door. The back massage was relaxing but only lasted 30 mins and then the customised facial made my skin break out, painful and itchy as the therapist used strongly perfumed products despite informing them that I have eczema and have very sensitive skin. Before our appointment we planned on spending time in the spa however the Jacuzzi was not working and there was also an unpleasant smell in the steam room and the environment did not feel clean. The therapists and the reception staff were pleasant and professional and our afternoon tea afterwards was lovely, but overall the experience was not good value for money at £112 per person. I would not recommend or revisit.

Negative experience: I was given a gift voucher for a massage. I didn't enjoy it at all. The masseuse was young and inexperienced. She kept putting so much oil that when I finished I was ready to be deep fried. I had to balance carefully on my feet to get dressed and not fall. The massage was really poor, I thought I was going to get a hole digged in my back as she concentrate nearly the whole massage there. Never again

Fantastic experience: Well what can I say, I have just had the best day here at the Glass Works Spa The staff are very professional and friendly. All the treatments I had were really good. I was in real need to just stop and take care of myself, as I work alone giving all these treatments myself. So when I say the treatments were good, trust me because I know what I am talking about. I have left totally relaxed which I really needed. Doing 10 hour days have been getting a bit much for me. So if your looking for a great place which is central in the city. Then look no further. Glass works is now going to be my new go to. Thank again guys you have been great. You will be seeing me again very soon. Kind regards Claire Davis from Holistic Harmony

Negative experience: We had booked two massage packages: Total relaxation (140mins) and Quiet Minds (110min). Whilst the treatments were very professional and relaxing, they did not last nearly as long as advertised. 110min was actually around 45mins, and 140mins was around an hour or so. For the price that you pay it's not ideal and it's kind of false advertising. We would not have minded the length if it was advertised correctly. The SPA area itself is very lacking considering the price, location and the higher end advertising. The area was tiny, including only two sauna rooms and a small jacuzzi. If there were more than 5 people present in the SPA area, it would already feel too overcrowded. Luckily, we arrived at a time when it was only the two of us, but later it got busier and it didn't feel like a luxury relaxing environment at all. Whilst our time was decent, I would not return again or highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic and wonderful experience being a member here this summer while I attended classes. I was able to wake up and walk to the gym almost every morning and work out or enjoy the sauna before class. It made a huge difference in my ability to learn and deal with stress. Friendly staff and a great facility. Loved the tea at the front. Even got my hair cut and dyed here, which was very helpful and a great experience. Will join up again when I’m next in Cambridge for an extended time!

Negative experience: I booked a Indulgence day package and was just expecting more based on the description. My friend and I planned our visit based on my treatment being 240 minutes or about 4 hours so we could finish together and have tea after. My treatment finished over an hour early which not only messed up the timing with my friend but left me feeling like I didn’t get what I paid for. I mentioned this to the therapist and didn’t get much of a reaction except for her to explain I got all the parts of my treatment we just went faster because she didn’t pause between treatments which I don’t fully understand. Lastly they only had an XL robe to use which unfortunately didn’t fit me. I’d expect a full scale spa to carry some larger sizes for different body types including larger men and women. Especially if I’m expected to go to the lobby or sauna between treatments to extend my visit time with pauses as mentioned above.

Negative experience: Terrible Service. The people working are very rude. They do not hear what you need from them and I will not be coming back to this establishment. Shameful.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to Samantha for the miraculous massage. Samantha has a magical touch. All my pain and soreness gone. It's like I was touched by an angel. Even though Samantha advised against me working out and suggesting resting for the day, I could not help myself but go to the gym and workout. Lo and behold I had one of the best workout sessions ever! PR's on my bench press, squat and deadlifts! I even did a few extra pull ups cause I could still feel Samantha's angelic touch guiding me to new heights. My only regret is not booking Samantha sooner! She deserves a promotion, raise, bonus, and maybe even a puppy! I look forward to booking my next treatment.

Negative experience: Had booked for two people, one with a voucher and one paid full price. Was quoted £110 over the phone and received the neck, shoulder and back massage with a facial, but was then made to pay £140 for the Swedish massage package which we did not receive. After further enquiry of this in person at reception with the general manager, we were rudely told that we were wrong and received the 80 minute Swedish massage and facial package, even thought the masseuses themselves said that we would be getting the neck, shoulder and back massage with a facial, in addition to the fact that we started the massage at around 13:20/25PM and finished at 14:17PM. The manager was not very pleasant, even after we kindly asked if we were accidently overcharged. We were then offered CCTV proof of how long our treatment was for and that this would be emailed to us at the end of the day, however this was never sent. I had to email to follow this up. We were even told by the manager that as we arrived 8 minutes late, our masseuses unfortunately missed some of their lunch break - can only assume that the intent was to make us feel guilty and misdirect us from our original enquiry of being overcharged. Spa itself - tiny, wet sauna room had a foul odor, jacuzzi was very small, not warm and had a off-putting colour to it. Changing rooms were dirty. Would recommend to all not to come here based on our appalling customer service experience and spa quality. Sad that the masseuses were very good, but were let down by senior leadership and the quality of the spa itself.

Fantastic experience: I walked in on the same day and i initially wanted to book a deep tissue massage but there was no availability so I booked an elemis massage instead and was pleasantly surprised. Anetta, the massage therapist assigned for my treatment was extremely attentive to my preference, by far one of the best massages I've received. I highly recommend! Everyone at the establishment was also polite and provided excellent customer service. Water is provided to keep hydrated and the premises is kept neat and tidy.

Negative experience: I've used the spa a few weeks ago and it was awful. The wet sauna smelled really bad, the dry sauna didn't work properly. There were no face towels (like it used to be), the showers didn't work and for some the door lock was broken (same as the changing room showers). Also the pillows on the chairs next to the jacuzzi were really dirty. The massage I had afterwards was what saved the entire experience. However I won't go back again.

Negative experience: I’d booked in from 3.30 for 2 hours for treatments & spa access for myself and my husband. We delayed till 4.30 and the male receptionist was very helpful and polite, when we arrived my massage was wonderful and relaxing. But when it came to go into the spa I must say I was very disappointed. The Jacuzzi was freezing cold barely luke warm, there were robes and dirty towels everywhere, the changing rooms were filthy with robes scattered everywhere. The Steam room stunk of BO - not relaxing at all. I spent the whole of 5 mins there and my husband the same. For an anniversary experience it was extremely disappointing and not the relaxing experience we were hoping for at all. Our plan was to enjoy the hot tub and atmosphere and it was just awful.

Positive experience: Nice gym with all the equipment that you reasonably are going to want if you take pride in working out. A few areas that would be great if they could be changed, are; why the towel faffing, just leave them where they can be picked up, this might have been tried before. The lockers occasionally cannot be opened, and it is not because "I" forgot the combo; they are faulty. The gym clientele tends to be a professional bunch and are very pleasant to get to know, without too many gym time wasters hanging around. Also, the gym membership needs to be sharpened up, it's paperwork based and not very transparent on how your membership works. Having had gym memberships for 20 years + the Glassworks was a nice change of pace. Never tried the exercise classes and only once used the Spa, so my needs were met with plenty of opportunity for other stuff if that was my thing.

Victoria Reeve 3 years ago

Negative experience: Very poor I'm afraid. Visited for a half day spa package. Paid £140 for a very basic face and body treatment where I wasn't even asked what my skin type I was. The pressure was average throughout and as my friend and I had the same treatment, we compared notes after and our treatments were different. I didn't even get a foot massage when she did. We arrived 90 minutes before our treatment to enjoy our half day experience which we struggled to fill. The jacuzzi was so small you had to queue to get in as with the steam room and sauna. And there wasn't even a mediation room or relaxation area to enjoy a Glass of Prosecco. Hygiene levels were not great here either. To sum it up, we felt a little ripped off here for what we paid and would not recommend this.

Negative experience: was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the spa reception, it was inviting and professional in its appearance. I even made a note to myself to come back for a blow dry and book a massage sometime. I was there for a pedi. I asked for gel removal, but pre-decided not to paint my toes and give them a breather. I was disappointed to be taken into a private massage room with a bed, it means I won’t experience the traditional basin soak. The lady who attended me was young and new, we chatted for a few mins before I got on a long call. She found it hard to remove the gelish and ultimately couldn’t get it off completely and nervously apologised. Half way through the Pedi, I jerked involuntarily as she was too close to my skin while trimming. The ‘soak’ was in an akaward angle and less than 3 mins, ok, maybe 5 min tops. There was no cuticle trimming, or the finesse of a regular pedicure. I suspect the POOR lighting contributed to the therapist difficulty and I’m actually glad in hindsight she didn’t do more than she did, I’d probably have been hurt. While I knew it wasn’t the best pedi, I didn’t get the opp to examine it until I got home (and had better lighting), also as I was wearing closed shoes. By far, this is the worst I’ve had- jagged edges to my nails and such a shoddy job. When I called to share my disappointment, the person answering was defensive and offered a “if you say so- then we are sorry”. Photo is 48 hrs after, as I didn’t want to leave a reactive review.

Fantastic experience: I attended the spa yesterday for a Pregnancy Combination treatment. It was a beautiful 80 minute treatment and I loved every second of it. I saw Oliwia who was an extremely friendly and professional therapist. The service she provided was of very high quality. Thank you very much, I will be back :-).

Positive experience: The jacuzzi hadn't been cleaned in a while as it had orange and black mould on the tiles The massage and facial was great

Geena Tan 4 years ago

Negative experience: Extremely dishonest establishment. Continues charging you for membership long after termination. After acknowledging their mistake, the people in charge ask you to bring in all your documents and tags etc 'for processing' before they can issue you a refund. After which you never hear from them again, and since you've already handed them all your proof you are left without recourse.

Mark Carrigan 4 years ago

Negative experience: I've occasionally come here because they have short notice availability for massage. For the price there's a huge variation in quality though. There are some brilliant massage therapists here but also some who are really poor. At £88 for 50 minutes you shouldn't have to worry that you're going to come out of the massage in more pain than you went into it. I won't be coming back.

Negative experience: Subpar to say the least. We booked a month in advance, whilst also staying at the hotel. We arrived 20’ earlier to get prepped as is usually the case in proper spas. Instead of getting a full treatment, being given robes etc. to get changed, we were told to just wait in the lobby. We booked the 50’ aromatherapy (+ full access to the spa), and instead they end it the session 10’ earlier. No ‘aroma’ whatsoever, just a slimy gel that we couldn’t wait to shower off our bodies. It came as a surprise, given their partnership with Elemis which is considered to be very good. I would strongly recommend to avoid this place. If you have been to proper spas, you will find out it’s not worth the money and it’s a mediocre experience.

Negative experience: This place used to be fantastic. Massage was average. The girl who did my massage had long nails and scratched my back which wasn’t pleasant. Fantastic experience: I have been a Glassworks member since January 2019. I literally love this little gem of a place. The staff are always very friendly and extremely accommodating. The facilities in my opinion are to die for. I visit the Glassworks regularly, although I tend to just use the spa facilities. I like nothing more than to sit back and enjoy a chilax session in the jaccuzi whilst people watching the passers by who are completely oblivious due to the cleverly constructed one way glass. The place is often empty of other spa users when I visit during the weekday so it's like having my own little health spa room all to myself. The daily electricity bill alone to have my own replica of this set up at home would be many times more than my monthly membership dues. I have considered it, although the Glassworks Spa continues to give me so much at an extremely reasonable and fixed monthly price. This place really is my second home now. Keep up the fantastic work Team Glassworks!!!

Positive experience: Very poor massage, for less time than the 80 minutes we paid for and had to ask the masseuse to use some oil as that was on short supply. Felt like they gave up trying after 15 minutes. Areas missed included arms and thighs. It was especially sad as this was a birthday gift for someone special. How do you make up for that? Disappointed.

Negative experience: It is a pure rip off. What they offer does not really match the high prices they ask for. They make it so obvious that their main and only concern is money and only money. The owner/ manager really needs to pursue some customer service courses. I've never seen a place so talented at scaring customers away like this one.

Negative experience: Totally inflexible, and a complete rip off. More importantly, if you have any form of disability or health issue, DO NOT GO THERE! I wanted to book a spa day package for me and my mother. For health reasons, my mum can't have a massage and all the spa day packages came with a massage. So I phoned up the Glassworks to explain the issue. I was expecting them to allow me to simply swap the massage treatment from the spa day package we wanted, with a different treatment. Oh no! We were only allowed to have one particular package, which was not what we wanted, and then were made to pay extra for the other treatments we actually did want. On top of that, I had to fight to have a room together. The lady on the phone sounded excessively irritated, which did not help my overall impression. Things got worse when we arrived for the spa treatment. There is no disabled toilet, and only 2 ladies toilets in total (one on ground floor and one on first floor). The gym area is on the 3rd floor, and the lift only takes you to the first floor. This was all fine for me, but for my mum - who needs access to a bathroom and for whom stairs are difficult for health reasons - this was far from ideal. Furthermore, there are 2 small steps leading down to the gym floor which neither of us spotted and my mum actually fell down them! Thankfully she was not hurt, but she could have been. Usually with steps like that there would be a sign and/or fluorescent strip on the step to make it more visible. Unfortunately, none of this. At this point, I had had enough and complained angrily to the manager. To his credit, he apologised, said he would talk to facilities about making the steps more visible, and - after reviewing our booking - conceded that we had been charged too much and gave us some of the money back. Though this was nice, it felt like too little too late, and that had I not complained, we would have been overcharged. Also, the actual spa area is tiny! Honestly, go to Nuffield health spa in Cambridge - much nicer, larger facilities for a fraction of the price. The only positive thing I have to say is that the girls who actually did our treatments (manicure and facial) were really nice, interesting people who did a great job. Unfortunately, the receptionist who I originally spoke to, and overall facilities completely ruined the experience for me. I came out of that spa much more stressed than when I went in. In short, a rip off, bad customer service and no consideration to people with health issues. I will not be going there again.

Fantastic experience: I’ve come here quite often for a massage/facial/spa use and the experience and service is always excellent. Very friendly and chatty which always makes the process so much more enjoyable and rememerable. This should be expected during luxury treatments.. but I also come here for less luxury treatments (waxing) and I’m always given the same excellent treatment. Just good customer service - by both phone and in person. Any issues I’ve had and they have gone out of their way to help and resolve. Thank you!!

Positive experience: Great place for a facial and massage. Very comfortable and calm treatment rooms, lovely staff. High quality products used. Felt pampered and rejuvenated.

Positive experience: I use the spa and find the service good and the prices reasonable. The therapy rooms are comfortable and therapists are friendly and good. I also lime they are open 7 days and take appointments from early morning through early evenings. I haven't used the gym or been to it, so can't review that aspect.

Fantastic experience: Very nice massage.

Positive experience: Good treatment but small spa area overcrowded and not as exclusive as I'd hoped.

Gareth Williams 7 years ago

Positive experience: Treatment itself (massage) was good but spa area was not really big enough for the number of guests, the water in the jacuzzi was lukewarm and it was very crowded so it wasn’t particularly relaxing.

Positive experience: The equipment is great (it lacks a few machines, but nothing really important). Two squat racks and even in peak times I rarely had to wait for one to free up. The gym is very clean and so are the lockers. The Personal Trainers however are incredibly unqualified (almost dangerously so - one example: I told one about something I could not do, and it was the next thing they made me do). The gym is fantastic IF you know what you're doing.

Negative experience: underwhelming for me. I expected more. I had a massage and used the facilities for £100. my massuse was very good and pleasant but I feel the facilities could be better for the price. some places felt more like a cramped basement and the Jacuzzi did not seem so clean and could possibly do with a refurb

Positive experience: looked small and dark, but the staff was pleasant.

Fantastic experience: Wonderfully friendly staff, state-of-the-art equipment, lots of great classes on offer, never too busy (or empty) - simply the best gym in Cambridge.

Negative experience: Full payment up front is not ok. Not a bad spa but paying in full up front for treatments is extremely unpalatable.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities, boutique feel, all the yoga you could want, not too busy and friendly staff. It will be hard to find another place like this!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience!!! I've been waxing for 16 years and it's the best wax I've had in Cambridge. Thank you Haley.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed being a member for the last few months - gym has good facilities and not too busy. It might not be the cheapest membership fee but if you look at what you get in return it's very good VFM, being far more than 'just' a gym.

Negative experience: I booked a full pregnancy massage by phone, long booking conversation, everything perfect and looking forward my massage 1 day before a hard exam. They confirmed my apoointment 1 day before and the day of the massage they said that cannot be done because I am just10 week pregnant!!! no information during the booking or the confirmation of the appointment, just waited for me to arrive after horrible traffic, to cancel me. No communication between the therapist, booking office and receptionist at all!!! what a waist of time! They just re book and actually pretended to make be believe that this was my fault because I didn't check the brouchure, I got a voucher and I did the booking by phone... no broucher. Very unprofessionals.

Negative experience: One good thing about this place as a gym is that they have sauna and steam rooms which are good in winter. HOWEVER, in terms of the service, bad, bad and bad. One of the receptionist with glasses is very rude. Started one month ago, my ipad can no long be connected to their WIFI, I seek help and she just said that she cannot help. As I am leaving UK, I would like to cancel my membership. I went there in person, they let me contact Kirk. And I sent him three emails in two weeks, nobody replied. And after I called twice, I finally got to speak with him. So, when you wanted to start the membership, it was all good; but when you wanted to quit, beware of their ignorance and low efficiency. : ( I also experienced once their spa. Horrible cannot describe what I felt, IT WAS TRAUMATIC. The therapist almost broke my shoulder during back massage and she pulled off my entire cuticle during manicure. The blood streaming down immediately, she acted like nothing happened. One more thing, as indicated by other reviewers, their classes indeed got cancelled often and without notices. I went up to the studio twice according to class schedule and waited about 15 mins just found out there was no class. I asked receptionist and she said:"I am sure there was a class!" Yes, they will just lie in your face. So I just gave up participating in classes as I really have no time to be angry every time. For almost 60 GBP a month (and the "at least 6 months contract"), we expect a far better experience. I was just disappointed. Just avoid this place for good and for saving your money. Try other places in Cambridge. Thank god I am leaving.

Negative experience: Customer service is awful, when you're paying £65 a month for a gym membership you'd expect a lot more. When joining you receive 3 guest passes, I used 2 and lost one and they will not provide another one. Manager is rude and has left a group of us in the studio for 15 minutes before bothering to tell another member of staff to come up and inform us the class is cancelled.

Fantastic experience: This is a very convenient gym with good facilities, it is also clean and comfortable. The spa area is great to wind down and relax. The hair salon is also great, the hairdresser Lucy was brilliant.

Fantastic experience: A great health club, the gym has great equipment and the place itself looks top class. The staff are always friendly and attentive. My wife has used the spa a few times and only has positive things to say about it.

Negative experience: My husband and I saved to purchase a spa day package and received a voucher. I then fail incredibly ill and was in and out of hospital. The voucher expired in time I was ill and the company would not issue a refund or honor the voucher.

Negative experience: This is an absolutely awful Gym. The owner James appears to be only interested in the money, and classes of frequently cancelled without any notice. Staff are unhelpful and appear far from professional. They simply offer 'guest passes' without any explanation/apology for class cancellations. In addition, many of the Yoga and pilates classes were far from challenging. The only good class was body conditioning, but it was frequently cancelled.

Fantastic experience: Seems a nice enough gym. Most importantly not too busy, 10 is the most i've ever seen in the gym. Could do with being a bit bigger and having more machines for the price, which is expensive, but they are restricted in space being in a (rather nice) old building. Facilities are clean, free towels and shower gel, so a few plus points. I think what you get here for the price is the fact it's not busy, and don't have to wait to use equipment. Very pleasant staff and a well maintained environment. Small niggles is it says 9.30 closing time, but you'll be asked to leave right on 9.

Positive experience: Nice place to train and relax. However the jacuzzi jets did not operate which was annoying.
