Negative experience: Used to love having a swim in here then go for a hot drink and a cheese & onion sarnie in the cafe upstairs, now a gym I believe, shame it's in the current shape it is in

Negative experience: Decent equipment and friendly staff members but since I joined this gym (around 4-5 months ago) it’s been closed down 3 times or so. 2 weeks, 1 week, now 6 weeks again. I understand there are reasons behind it but you just end up losing momentum doing such long breaks from gym. 2

Negative experience: Been closed for nearly 2 months without any communcation or updates. Poorly equipped gym with only 1 squat rack and no dedicated bench press. Also no dedicated parking. At least cancelling the membership was easy.

Positive experience: Ideal for a family swim, the diving pool is great and deep!

Negative experience: Place with questionable hygiene. Dirty changing rooms and showers. People bathe with their clothes. Positive point: the ladies at the reception are friendly

Positive experience: It’s closed so often that it’s really hard for kids to make real progress in swimming. They should find alternative premises if they close again for extended periods so children don’t have a huge gap in their learning progress. When they are on, my children’s instructors are really nice though.

Negative experience: This place is constantly having issues. Something is always breaking down or not working (lifts, barriers, swimming pool, gym, sauna) the list goes on. I feel sorry for the staff as most are really friendly. I am currently still awaiting a refund on my cancelled swimming lessons. It's been 3 months since I cancelled them Absolute disgrace, but what can you expect from a council owned place these days.

Negative experience: My son goes to swimming here, the instructor is really good. But he was on a holiday for three weeks, they said that they have arranged a cover instructor for the next three weeks. All three weeks, I got my son ready and took him there. They cancelled the session and haven’t even credited any money back. For their fault, I ended up paying money and all they said was some months has 5 weeks instead of 4 and we never charge you for the extra week. Now again there happened to be a bacterial infestation and classes are cancelled. No refund again.very poor customer care.

Positive experience: Sauna doesn't ecsist anymore

Negative experience: I attended a chair based Yoga class, the instructor was great, it was an inclusive class, great, BUT REALLY!!! Why on earth do you not provide enough suitable chairs. Old metal type folding chairs are NOT SAFE! to encourage exercise and wellbeing you need to do something about this. And we don't have the money is not a valid excuse, apply for a lottery grant, fund raise?? But please at a time when exercise and wellbeing couldn't be more important please do something.

Negative experience: They are have a very bad service, One of my friends was expelled because he didn't understand the rules of swimming, he was very rude and racist as well, it’s not shame if you don’t understand the rules, you have to explain to him

Positive experience: Very great place, big pool, I'd love to give it a 5 star but sadly have to do 4 as they changed it to each session (1h 30m) you have to pay £3.60. Used to be pay £3.60 and you can stay for as long as you want without paying more.

Positive experience: Not very clean. Men’s changing room is completely messy. None of the shower work properly. Parking all over the place.

Negative experience: Been a gym member for some months and was shocked to see layers of dirt inside the gym. Equipment and floor unbelievably dirty. A tin of smelly water being filled in the bathroom for gym users fill their bottles. And now they close it for one month because of Legionella bacteria present in the water. 40£ member ship gym

Negative experience: Fantastic facilities for my disabled grandson. The gym is good for his therapy. We use premier for swim, because Regional is too busy over a weekend when we can take him. BUT THE LIFT IS BROKEN FOR WEEKS!!!!! He cannot follow his normal program because premier has got the same equipment that he is using.

Fantastic experience: I loved it. Clean pool lovely staff and not busy. Cheap and the changing rooms were clean. Definitely recommend

Positive experience: Big swimming pool with two separate areas,1.5 metre depth and 3.8 metre depth. They also have swimming classes included in the membership. Parking is bit small but acceptable.

Negative experience: Pool looks filthy. Showers broke… freezing cold waters… all squashed into big pool when the little pool was there but closed. In need of a serious upgrade!

Negative experience: Not the best of places as when things break they just take forever to fix them (Sauna ,steam room,water temperature in pools and the showers). Don't use the gym so unsure how things are up there. Since the closure of the carpark I haven't bothered going and most likely will be cancelling my membership as they really don't care about their customers.

Positive experience: Great pool waters cold ,lot of us go for health reasons .can we warm up the pool a bit

Negative experience: Definitely the worst place I have ever swam in. Dilapidated, decades outdated and outright dirty. Changing rooms are filthy with broken lockers. Showers didn’t work, so you can’t even wash the pool dirt off after swimming. Entire pool edge wall covered in grime/filth which you can scratch off with your finger nails, and edge tiles severely broken in many places. Pool floor tiles broken. Hair, dirt and grime floating throughout. Bottom of pool looks covered in green algae and severely discoloured. Visited for first (and only) time last week; developed conjunctivitis in both eyes, ear infection and skin rash which lasted a few days requiring antibiotic prescription - all attributed to the swim in the regional pool. Local GP aware of increasing cases in local swimmers at this pool. I would vote this, by far, the worst place to swim in the UK.

Negative experience: I was hoping to hire out facilities, but no one responds to queries. Marie Butler just ignores emails. I’ll take my business else where.

Fantastic experience: Great gym well equipt

Negative experience: The water was nice and worm but changing rooms and showers are little bit dirty. The pool times are not updated online. Even stuff printed timetable for me, pool times changed and for third time we couldn't entry for swimming.

Positive experience: Gym with Good environment, although to small and closing times toooooo early, specially on weekends when people have more available time. Pool and sauna are included in membership, but does not pay off because they are always crowded too expensive for what I get

Fantastic experience: Taken my baby for her 1st time swimming and she loved the baby pools/teaching pool. The water temperature I would say was good. My little one loved it so much we where in the pool for about 2 hours would go again and at a really good price for the time it open for anyone to swim and when she older ill look at swimming lessons there

Negative experience: I have signed up to the Vivacity for the aqua classes that they run, however since having the membership the classes have been cancelled more than they take place. Today again class was cancelled but nobody has bothered to call and inform members so we have wasted our time driving to the regional to be told that it is cancelled and the pool was not available for swimming. The receptionist didn’t even know the reason for the cancellation. Quite often classes get cancelled on the vicacity app without any notification or a call that it has been cancelled and getting hold of the place to find out is impossible as the phone never gets answered. Another time me and other members attending aqua have received a notification that the aqua class was cancelled, only to find out the next day that it wasn’t and the class still went ahead. The membership is not worth the £39 it costs. The only positive thing I can write is the aqua class itself, when it happens it’s so good….but I wish it took place 3 times per week like it is supposed to take.

Negative experience: experience i had in this swimming pool was a disaster. its not clean. and sometimes we only get one third of swimming pool to swim in because in other parts of it private classes are going on to make more money. this is ridicilous.

Negative experience: Hi it’s horrible place pay money for nothing after 10 minutes we go out no jumping nothing you can only 1.8 metres pool swim and back

Negative experience: Went to the pool this morning with my 2 daughters and mother as we have done since December 2021 my youngest daughter learnt to swim just before covid but because we had 2 months off lost her confidence and strength and is still building up her stamina and is perfecting her technique. The lifeguard called parry decided that she couldn't go in the deep end as she thought she wasn't a strong enough swimmer. A few weeks ago we had the same problem with another lifeguard we spoke to the manager who confirmed that as long as she was supervise adequately she was about to go in the deep end byt if she wanted to go in the diving pit (which we didn't ) she had to swim 2 lengths with front crawl. Parry then decided to call manager Nathan who said the rules were up to the lifeguard which meant we had no choice but to leave . Parry had already got rid of one family who son swam in the diving pit last week despite him having to swim 6 lengths in front of her she decided he didn't like his technique and wouldn't allow it. Surely lifeguards should all be following the samw rules? Nathan agreed with us that it was adequately supervised but didn't have the ball's to tell the lifeguard who then went into the teaching pool

Negative experience: Worst experience so far ...been coming 4th time to swimming pool ,they do not update any information on their page about closing time,don't answer the phone, staff is not helpful!

Fantastic experience: Swimming is always great. Sauna was a new experience, and the gym is very nice and well maintained

Negative experience: The service is below average , they claim to offer sauna but most of their facilities are not working , every time you ask , you get excuses , they should close instead of deceiving customers

Negative experience: You used to be heaving with lane swimmers on a Sunday, why has this facility been removed? I am visiting family, and fancied a quick up and down, alas, no lanes, took ages to answer the phone, as you can’t always assume the website is correct and it tells you to check before you travel out. You used to be amazing. Samantha you need an extra person on reception during your busy spells, as it is not fair to leave one person dealing with all of that, and it’s POOR customer service.

Fantastic experience: I take my young son to the teaching pool every week. It's always clean, warm, and well attended by the lifeguards. Price is very reasonable.

Positive experience: The pool gets cleaned around 87% of the time, there is a pool going from 1 metre to 3 metres deep, and one connected to it which is 5 metres. I recommend taking a quick swim here.

Positive experience: Pool area was adequate not too big, not too small and warmed.up nicely. Lockers have changing rooms and toilets but I didnt notice any showers. Didn't intend on using one there anyway. Kids academic pool.is seperate from the big pool. Photos are not allowed inside.

Positive experience: It was fair, waited to get after booking the day before. Wasn't told I had to special book for baby pool and we all had to get in the main pool but they did heat it up a little

Fantastic experience: Swam here quite a few times over the year and it was the favourite pool I had ever swam at. The changing rooms are a bit wet but overall a great facility!

Fantastic experience: I used to go to swimming lessons here and it is one of the best places if you want to learn. They taught me alot of swimming techniques and the teachers were really nice. Definitely go here if you want to learn how to swim. If you just want to go for the fun of it you should still go as this is the perfect place for a fun day out with your mates or family!

Fantastic experience: Came as a visitor to the area during a competition nearby. Good day pass system despite not being able to find them on my usual app. For the centers I have gone to this way, I found them some of the most friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Thankyou, and I am sure I will be back. Only thing I found was the pool area a little slippy, but it was a Sunday and very busy.

Fantastic experience: Great pool, great staff, plenty of activities if you don't want to just stick to one thing, there's a gym upstairs.

Negative experience: Worst ever experience, The staff attitudes is very biast and rude, I was wearing shorts that slightly below my knees and its because of my religious requirements, but the staff stopped me and didn't allow us to swim because the shirts have to be higher then knees. At the same time I saw some guys already wearing same length shorts already in the pool. I find it very frustrating and totally unfair to us. I don't understand the risk and no explanation was given to deny the entry to pool. I will never go there again.

Fantastic experience: Clean.. Very friendly employees.. Gym is great and instructors help you a lot.. Great classes especially the yoga and pilate.. Sauna and steam room for relaxation.. Swimming pool which smells very less chlorine

Positive experience: Had a swimming competition here and the staff are very nice and the changing rooms and poolside are cleaned regularly. Don't know about the other facilities as I've only been here twice.

Negative experience: Rang before going as it's a good 45min drive for us and wanted to check times as it's school holidays. When we arrived was told not able to go on as was full. She could have said this on the phone and saved us a journey! 1/2 hour we had to wait. I wish we hadn't!!! The pool it's self was ok, small for a city council pool I thought though, then I noticed the lifeguards, god help them if someone's in trouble, they spent more time chatting to eachother and trying (and failing miserably) to look important. An obnoxious family were dive bombing off the side and all they did was glance over, not a word was said, yet it was clear to all in the pool they were causing an annoyance to people nearby. To sum up, this place is dated, expensive and the staff are rude. Definitely won't be returning.

Positive experience: The gym itself I would give five stars, generally very clean and tidy, it has air conditioning and water dispensers (very slow, takes five minutes to fill up a bottle) there are a good selection of machines and free weights allowing you to work on all muscle groups. The changing rooms and showers are very dated and cold, I'd rate them rated 1 star but that's because I'm feeling generous. The floor is always disgusting and wet making it a slip hazard and difficult to get changed after your cold shower. The swimming pool is okay but a lot of the time half of it is shut off from the public making what's left quite busy, they also have a sauna and steam room but are temperamental whether they work.

Positive experience: The gym is well equipped and clean, along with having air con which puts it above most other gyms in Peterborough However the showers are absolutely grim, with some cubicles having no drains so flooding when in use, and seemingly endless chunks of hair floating around. If I was just rating the gym it would be 5 stars, but for 30 pounds a month (including student discount) you'd expect more
