Negative experience: Me and my friend went in there and they refused to let us in the pool because we had a bikinis on and we had to get a refund we travelled 1hr to get there we were so sad that they didn't let us in so went there for no reason we are both15 I don't know what the problem is.

Negative experience: No one on reception another member of the public had to locate someone. The man that turned up was very lack lustre and couldn’t give a toss. Then the boiler was broken on the swimming pool so we couldn’t swim anyway. They need to put some effort in at this place it feels very much like it’s being left to decline.

Fantastic experience: I’m a new member and am really impressed with the range of fitness classes on offer and the great pool. Staff are friendly and helpful, and instructors keen to ensure you get the most out of your classes. Good value memberships. Decent amount of parking, and showers are nice and hot!

Fantastic experience: Great badminton club, friendly people all round lovely place

Negative experience: Please add back the big sized clips , I can no longer add 2 ropes for my tricep excercise.

Fantastic experience: A good sports centre with adequate parking on most of my visits.

Negative experience: Basic and dirty, especially the changing rooms. Hopefully membership is cheap to reflect this

Negative experience: would have been helpful if you'd have put posters up last week informing people the main hall is being used tonight...wasted journey by me and others regularly using the hall on a block booking on Wednesday evening..not impressed

Negative experience: Paid for the gym as a one-off to see if it was worth joining, extremely old, and tatty gym equipment. Mats were filthy, changing rooms were very sparse, and the 20p hairdryer didn't work. Cardio machines were decent, but that was about it.

Positive experience: Could do with a deep clean and a few more staff on the early morning shift. However good local venue for swimming and other activities.

Positive experience: Just gotten a gym membership here, the gym is massive and there is loads of classes that I can join! It is quite pricey though.

Negative experience: My husband and I have recently joined the gym and are very disappointed with the changing areas which are rarely properly cleaned. Especially the disabled changing room which my husband has repeatedly complained about but never seems to be looked at. Locker doors hanging off etc. Gym is good, but will be going elsewhere.

Positive experience: The staff are really nice and the pool is fine, the changing rooms and toilets are a bit grim though, and it's hardly ever open for public swimming.

Positive experience: Facilities are pretty good but the staff (or lack of) are a serious issue. If you ever do manage to speak with a member of staff you quickly find out that they are not helpful in the slightest

Fantastic experience: I went for a swim recently. The pool was nicely heated and not busy for lane swimming. The lifeguard Nathan was very helpful and friendly. They have a hot tub and smaller pool too. Also a gym and coffee area. The showers and changing rooms were clean. They offer hair dryers too. I plan on going back for an Aqua gym class.

Negative experience: Expensive gym facilities for limited machinery, bunch of school kids around 4ish who just stand around in groups and staff just let them get away with it.

Positive experience: We only went swimming so can't comment on gym facilities. Swimming pool is satisfactory although the little pool was closed today because of a fault. The showers are largely very cold and the toilets are not very well kept. Changing cubicles in poor state with locks not working properly. Online booking system is a bit clunky. What we most like about this pool is the view and the quiet.

Negative experience: The state of the floor on the badminton courts is frequently disgraceful. Staff are blatantly negligent about the welfare of people who pay to use them. It's a matter of time before somebody is seriously injured. I would not be surprised if that ended up in a different kind of court - and costing a lot more than getting a member of staff to sort it out!

Positive experience: Good range of equipment, lots of space and don't usually h as e to wait much be to use machines. Place is clean and tidy, well looked after and the staff are helpful

Negative experience: No one on reception desk. Just walked in. No change or tokens available for lockers. Mediocre.

Fantastic experience: I go to 'swim for fitness', excellent pool, pretty easy to book through the better health. Staff are very helpful and allow you to get on with your visit with minimal interruptions. Can get quite busy, especially when the swim club use 2/5 lanes, but these are easy enough to avoid. Now has an electronic gate system for entry, NFC not as reliable as old system.

Fantastic experience: Clean centre, friendly staff and activities for all. It’s inclusive of all people and staff are always ready to help. The facilities are great for general usage with a 25m pool, toddler pool, gym and fitness classes.

Negative experience: Used to be a great place to go but after the summer holidays they have pretty much removed all weekday swim for all sessions. Some of us don't want to swim lanes.

Fantastic experience: My niece has swimming lessons here & it's very professional & we'll set up compared to Stoke Mandeville. She gets to jump in here & actually swims. At Stoke they just splash around. The Instructors seem very attentive to each child & they get their full 30mins as a member of staff calls the children in so that they're in the pool for their start time which is how it should be. Good viewing area & covid measures in place

Fantastic experience: First time using the centre this morning for a early morning swim. I was very impressed not just with the covid measures in place, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff that I interacted with.

Negative experience: Do you have the worlds most irritating phone system...Is it just one long automated message? with the pre-recorded message telling you to log into your website 50x.. Did you fire all your staff? I'm trying to book swimming, I've registered but I don't know my membership number

Fantastic experience: Birth place of Paralympics with facilities for differently able persons. Full gym in the ground floor and more facilities for disabled persons. This place also have wheel chair basket ball practice sessions

Negative experience: Very disappointing. I've been a member for yrs as its the closest pool to me but its dirty, smelly. Very poorly maintained. I've emailed several times and not even been acknowledged. Please sort it out it's such a shame.

Negative experience: Tatty, poor website, and hard to get them to answer the phone, but a couple of really good aqua aerobics teachers. The place needs some serious investment like decent loos and cleaners!

Negative experience: The staff don't care about the place or the customers and it shows, the pool is regularly full of just a few people but taking over a whole area to stop others enjoying it and the showers are regularly broken or have no hot water. The disabled toilet has had a broken lock for over a year now despite numerous complaints.

Negative experience: Gym is very dirty, floors & mats need hovering, machines often wait weeks for battery replacement.

Negative experience: The badminton courts were rubbish, worst courts i have ever been on. I played with a few friends and we were literally slipping every single time we moved. I wouldn't recommend this leisure centre until the floors have been renovated

Fantastic experience: Main hall very good. Facilities very good. Machine only for drinks now.

Positive experience: Gym is a bit small but has most of what you need

Negative experience: A couple of good instructors let down by terrible management and customer service. They kept my daughter in pre-school classes for 9 months, with different teachers each week, often in classes that were too large. They refused to move my son out of pre-school 2 despite him being able to swim and him now attending school so unable to make the classes, saying that he must finish each class to get to the next. It’s a con. Despite repeated requests to speak to someone and get a sensible response or cancel the account they have ignored emails phone calls and a complaint to head office. I am now out of pocket by a months lessons for lessons I couldn’t attend as my children were in school.

Positive experience: Baby / toddler pool only a couple of hours a day but good when it is not to busy. It has a bubble machine, little waterfalls and a mini slide. Good kids swimming lessons

Negative experience: We swim here regularly in the school holidays purely because it's close geographically and, although the facilities are good in terms of the showers, loos, lockers etc, they are often dirty. The water temperature is usually very cold and staff appear bored, unfriendly and disinterested - a few lessons on Customer Service perhaps?! One of the lifeguards came over to our group last week and told my son and 2 friends (age 14 and confident, sensible swimmers) not to go underwater for more than 10 seconds! What! It's a swimming pool! There have been a number of occasions when workmen have been poolside wearing filthy footwear and leaving equipment lying around unattended - Health and Safety/Safeguarding clearly not a priority at this center? The company being called 'Better' is a misnomer... but sadly seem to have the monopoly on south Oxfordshire pools.

Positive experience: Best gym in Thame in terms of equipment, especially cardio machines like treadmills, ellipticals and bikes. Plenty of weights and other workout machines to choose from as well. The main plus is that, unlike other gyms nearby, you can join this one on a daily, weekly or monthly basis without entering into any contracts or paying an admin fee. There are also plenty of classes to take advantage of, plus there's a pool and the changing facilities have showers. The place could do with being cleaned more frequently, however, as it can get a bit grotty at times.

Positive experience: Visited for a session in the children's pool. The place was clean and tidy, plenty of space in the changing rooms but the temperature throughout was very cool, too cool considering the time of year. The pool was also surprisingly cold. We had a really nice time, just be sure to anticipate the chillier temperatures earlier in the year.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my gp to the health wise scheme for rehabilitation. I have found the staff incredibly helpful and encouraging and this scheme has meant I am able to walk, run and swim once more!
