Here at Bannatyne Health Club Humberston we offer an extensive gym floor that features; Technogym equipment, Omnia 8, SKILLMILLS, Wattbikes and much more. The club also boasts an impressive nine-hole golf course and four outdoor tennis courts. StartSmart is a 12-week support programme, during which time our trainers will provide guidance and expertise.You will also receive top tips along the way to improve your fitness and wellbeing.
HealthSmart is a complimentary member service, delivered by our coaches to assist with improving overall fitness over a six week period. The programme starts with a 45-minute programme in which we understand more about you.
Our gym floors are designed with you in mind. We offer the perfect balance between classic equipment and the latest innovation, from Technogym treadmills and plate-loaded resistance machines, to Technogym SKILLROW, SKILLMILL and SKILLBIKES.
We provide the very best in functional training equipment. Take advantage of a new and exciting way to train with the Technogym Omnia 8. For up to eight people at a time, our Omnia 8 classes are tailored to cover all aspects of training including strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination and speed whilst being interactive and suitable for all abilities.
Each member receives a complimentary StartSmart programme on joining. From your results you will receive a gym programme designed to suit what you want to achieve.
Whether you want to refuel after a workout or enjoy a social Starbucks with a friend, you can feel at home in our Cafe Bars. Our Health Clubs all have heated swimming pools, accompanied by our more relaxing wetside facilities such as saunas and steam rooms, or why not sit back and let the bubbles ease away your tension in one of our spa pools.
Set in rolling countryside, we have an 18 hole golf course with a unique dual pin system which offers the option of either 9 or 18 holes. Our golf course is designed to challenge golfers of all handicaps. With an 18 hole, Par 68, the course includes a mixture of par 3 and par 4 courses with red, yellow and white tee options. Ask at reception to find out more. We also offer 4 outdoor racquet courts, with free court hire available.
If you want the latest in innovative training, we have a range of high-octane classes including B:functional and world renowned Les Mills classes. If you prefer traditional classes we also offer Yoga, Aqua, Group cycling and much more.
We offer Les Mills Virtual including RPM, Sprint, Body Combat, Body Pump, Sh'bam, Grit and Body Balance all available on demand outside of the class timetable!
We are currently investing in the latest Les Mills Smart Tech equipment in every health club nationwide to give our members the best group exercise experience.

Take control of your fitness with MYZONE. Our fabulous, tree lined, 9 hole golf course is a true test for golfers of all handicaps. With tight, tree lined fairways to hit, along with dog legged holes, you'll have to be able to move the ball both ways to shoot a good score. WIth a dual pin system in operation, you can play 9 holes or 18 holes, with pins to aim at for each hole.
We offer 4 outdoor racquet courts, with free court hire available. Tennis facilities are run and maintained in partnership with WeDoTennis, open play will be subject to availability.

Negative experience: 2 price raises in my 1st 12 months now £48 pcm. For this you get a tiny pool smelly toliets and bang average gym. Served notice under cause 7.1.1 of the contact then received a call demanding I still continue to pay until the end of my contract despite the price increases.

Negative experience: Terrible Experience at This Gym! Review: I had an awful experience at this gym and would not recommend it to anyone. The showers in the women's changing rooms are in appalling condition, dirty and poorly maintained. The pools are also very disappointing, the water seems to be poorly treated and always dirty. The gym area is very cramped and awkward, with barely any room to move and a pathetic variety of equipment. This could be somewhat tolerable if the staff were friendly, but unfortunately, that’s not the case. At the reception, no one knows anything and if they transfer you to a manager, each one says something different. It's a nightmare trying to get consistent information. I was charged for two months for nothing. I had a three-month contract and was told I could cancel it with a month's notice, but only between the 1st and 5th of the month. This turned out to be a lie and, to top it off, when I tried to resolve the issue over the phone, I was treated very rudely, as if I had to apologise for wanting to leave. The worst part is that the price they charge is excessive for the quality of service they provide. You pay a higher monthly fee than at other gyms in the area, but get nothing in return. Between this place and Oasis, I would definitely recommend Oasis. I’m sorry, but this has been the worst experience I’ve had at a gym. Don’t waste your time or money here!

Fantastic experience: So joined Friday. Been a couple of times so far to find my feet as it a new gym to me. I like it, everything I need/want and more. 500 quid per year with a very decent 9 holf golf course! Sorted!

Fantastic experience: Visited for a spa treatment as a gift for my mum. The relaxation room was lovely and the treatments (hot stone massage) were perfect. It was wonderful to have a duel treatment room too. Staff were polite and organised. The changing rooms were clean.

Negative experience: I've been trying to cancel my membership for some time now. Rather than just stop my direct debit like anyone else would do I decided to inform the club first.. the problem is that no-one ever answers the phone (option 2 for memberships). I've finally managed to get through to someone on the phone only to be told that it's not possible to cancel this way. They didn't seem to have this sort of difficulty when I was signing up and handing over money. On a positive note the lady I spoke to on the phone was very nice (I think her name was Lucy) which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1.

Negative experience: We booked a spa day, the girls in the spa were very nice but the treatment room was freezing, which made it very difficult to relax. The poolside was also very cold so it was a very short visit and not worth the money we spent. I also didn't expect to have to pay an additional £20 each to hire a towel I've never been to a spa day that didn't provide a towel.

Fantastic experience: I booked the spa for my boyfriend's father's birthday. I didn't have high expectations, however I was pleasantly suprised. The venue is located in front of the golf fields - nice view, definitely adds to the experience. It's clean and has enough of everything. Staff was friendly and professional, looked after us very well. Spa and leisure facilities were excellent-just what we needed. Girls really done such a great job at treatments we have booked, we were ever so relaxed. Really enjoyed it !

Negative experience: Great place but as I only play golf at Bannatyne humberston the course is shut nearly five months of the year , due to the weather other golf clubs are open while competitions are cancelled it makes this the most expensive for playing golf , a pity cause it's such a wonderful course , maybe they should look at drainage

Negative experience: Horrendous experience with the staff here. Made my life really difficult when I became pregnant and too sick to attend. Asked to pause what was remaining of my 3 months membership as I was unable to work and really struggling to afford to live. All I got was harassing calls and passed onto debt collection. Never again, we paid 2 memberships there for 9 months. We both canceled and will never return. If you’re thinking of joining would suggest you take out a day pass and take a look at their facilities too. Mouldy ceilings falling in on shower rooms, toilets leaking and so much gime on the inside of the pool wall, like it hasn’t been cleaned in a LONG time!
Positive experience: Everything is great except the restaurant which needs improvement. Doesn't really offer a restaurant menu. Which is a shame. What we have eaten off the menu has been good. Staff are great. Plenty of free parking even offering EV charging.
Negative experience: Went back in May 2022 as a recommendation from my mom who has been with Bannatyne for 2 years. I was flying away therefore only wanted a short term subscription if there was an option. One of the staff members has sat down with me and advised a 3 month subscription which I gladly accepted. On the 2nd December I receive an email from Bannatyne regarding a price increase which surprised me as I haven't been there since June which is when the subscription was due to expire. I decide to check my bank account and come to find that they have been taking 51 pounds for the past 4 months that I never agreed to. As I arrive to the centre a receptionist tells me that they need a 1 month notice for the cancellation, that even after 3 months you still pay monthly which makes absolute zero sense and that its in their terms and conditions which is written out in the smallest font ever that even she struggles to find it on paper for me. 1. Why do they claim this to be a 3 month subscription when its not ! Why did the staff member not mention this! 2. I have only received 2 emails from them this whole time. One back in May when I completed the first payment and another one now regarding the price increase. Nothing at all to keep me in the loop regarding payments which is a standard procedure. The receptionist said that update emails don't apply with a subscription like mine. 3. The duty manager was on a 2 hour pool clean and would not come up to discuss this matter. As I realised we weren't getting anywhere with the receptionist I asked for a cancellation form and wanted to know if they will still deduct another payment in January to which she couldnt reply 100% Even though ive submitted a cancellation on the 2nd of dec they still sent me an email saying I will get deducted a final payment on the 1st January as they take payment on the 1st of each month and require a one month notice . Absolutely awful response from the team ,no empathy, no understanding or responsibility. Feels like they are just looking for an opportunity to suck money out out of a student on a part time employment!
Positive experience: Would highly recommend the treatments absolutely brilliant. SHAME the pools were freezing would have got a 5 star cafe bar lounge is lovely as well
Negative experience: Both pools are freezing, restaurant has a very limited menu and shuts at 5. Some machines are turned off in the gym to save energy. Mens showers are good. The management dosn't seem to be interested in what the members want.
Negative experience: Been a member for the last 6 months, when i joined Bannatyne was perfect for me, i haven't been whilst the men's changing was renovated... i returned today the pools are considerably colder and was told by the manager it is now staying like this
Positive experience: Great to see some investment in the facilities, replacement of sauna, male showering etc.. Fantastic achievement in these uncertain times. Staff and clients are friendly. The one down side is the pool temperature which has significantly dropped which is not a pleasant experience and guessing is only going to get worse as the temperature outside decreases. I'm all for saving money but in the right places
Positive experience: Solid Par 3 & 5 burgers with a Smash Avo Salad. Hot drinks nothing special. Get the mains and head out. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the Table 3 booth. Nice spot and reasonable membership menu prices.
Fantastic experience: Lovely friendly club. All the facilities are kept clean and everything is easy to find. As a member you get lots of discounts on spa deals and sportswear. Often they do free samples of the elemis range which they use in spa. Pool is always warm and never too busy

Negative experience: The gents changing rooms have been refurbished which is great, well done However the small pool is getting colder. It’s one thing dreading a swim because it’s not warm and another to being told “it’s warm” when it clearly is not! I swim daily for 60 minutes in the small pool because the large one is far too cold. You would think I would know the difference. While I understand the outdoor temperature can affect the pool temperature it is really not a pleasant experience. In the hope someone rethinks this situation soon before it gets even colder.
Fantastic experience: Bought a virgin experience package for this spa for £90 , received access to the facilities and a trio of treatments, the facilities may be small however worth the money and the treatments where definitely the best part with the two young girls being professional, friendly and offering advice on skincare at the end of the session. I would also recommend booking the afternoon tea package in the restaurant/ cafe was ideal for both myself and mum. Lovely afternoon :)

Fantastic experience: We had a great morning at Bannatyne Humberston. We attended the spa as part of a spa day which included a back and scalp massage plus a facial for two. The spa recommends arriving for your treatment 10mins before the start time however due to transport, we were late by a couple minutes over our start time. Luckily, the lovely staff told us we could go straight to our treatment and do the tour/bag hiring process when we were done so that we could have as much treatment time as possible which we were super grateful for! All the staff were great from those on the reception to those doing the treatments. All the facilities were available and we enjoyed the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, the changing rooms are well stocked with lockers, hairdryers, swimwear drying machines etc. and although we didn't eat in the restaurant, it looked great! Thank you so much for adjusting for us and for a lovely relaxing morning!

Positive experience: Enjoying the time I have spent here. I think the app needs a little work though. You can see the number of people in the facility but that number is only for the facility. If you want to look at how many are swimming or how many are in the gym you can't. I find this pretty annoying as sometimes it looks busy but when you get there the majority of people are in a fitness class, it's not really a correct representation of members. Anyways that's the reason 4 stars instead of 5.

Positive experience: My wife and I have been a member of this gym for a number of years.Overall very good for exercise and relaxing in the Spa area.very reasonable monthly membership which includes use of the all weather tennis courts.The cafeteria serves food and beverages. The only negative is that the jacuzzi is out of order frequently and this can be frustrating. Join this club as an investment in your health.

Positive experience: This was our second visit, for Massage and was lovely easy check in friendly staff and booked again before leaving this time.
Negative experience: Last year I put 5 stars and wrote a very nice review but it seems that was a rush. When I needed to cancel my membership as I moved from the area completely they didn't consider my circumstances and took fees for extra month. Yes you can stick with your contract rules of giving a month notice (which wasn't explained to me when I joined) but you lose people. I would never go to any bannatyne again.

The aftercare of the appointment being cancelled had been more than shocking, no apology or understanding as we had booked accommodation also. The customer service has been terrible.

Negative experience: Bitterly dissapointed by the lack of compassion and empathy. They will not accept a month's notice from the 5th of a month and insist on starting notice from the 1st of a following month i:e . when it reopened after covid restrictions they took that months and insisted on another month starting from the 1st, in effect two months despite being told I had lost my job during lockdown and would rejoin when fresh employment was found. I even asked for it to be taken into account that I had joined for the steam room and sauna and that as these were no longer provided could I just suspend my monthly rolling agreement until fresh employment and promised services were reinstated? yes I could but still the two months payments then a suspension monthly payment so no help whatsoever thanks Bannatyne. So just be aware even a monthly rolling contract will possibly cost you two months (over £100) to cancel. The funny thing is despite the need for general refurbishment and better cleaning most staff members are pleasant, it's local to me and I would have continued to attend. I've since found fresh employment and the sauna and steam room has reopened. Sorry Bannatyne you got your pound of flesh proved to be totally uncaring and ill take my business somewhere else that may prove to be more understanding if help is requested in the future. This is the only negative review I think I've ever felt strongly enough to actually make

Fantastic experience: Fab Staff, Great Pool area and Changing Rooms. Had a Birthday treat with my Daughter, which was Fabulous. Very quiet, Sunday during a Pandemic, so expected, but that made us both feel more relaxed. However our "Light Lunch" was a choice of several Panini's or Toasties, as Kitchen wasn't open due to Covid, a bit of a let down but hey-ho, it was Delicious !!! Our whole experience here was 5/5.... but on entering the Building we saw that the Entrance and Reception, then along with the Bar and Conservatory all in great need of a full refurb, it was so drab and dated.... even the Tables & Chairs were similar to that from an old school Working Men's Clubhouse. The Spa really needs a relaxation room for before and especially after treatments. I was oily and chilled from my Massage and just wanted to flop down in a cozy dressing gown robe and Snooooooooooze... I needed to wait for my Daughter. I could either sit in the Bar or Swim (I did both)

Positive experience: I have been a member here for many years. The gym is ok but the men's changing rooms and showers are disgraceful, they urgently need refurbishing. Other gyms by Bannatyne that I have visited have much better facilities. Reception staff could be friendlier and more helpful too, a simple hello on arrival would be nice.

Someone rang to confirm our appointments the day before and all was good only to be called a few hours before our appointments explaining due to staff sickness we would either have to cancel or only have one of the treatments. We accepted one treatment each but then was told our appointment time was different to what was on our booking, we attended anyway but only to be greeted by a really rude receptionist, both myself and my friend were instantly made to feel uncomfortable by her, however all other staff we encountered seemed friendly and helpful. We used the facilities briefly as they were quite busy but appeared okay for the time we did use them. We then went for our treatments to then find out we could indeed have both our treatments and everything ended up going really well.
Fantastic experience: Just had a full body massage by the lovely Jade. She was absolutely amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel special. Jade explained what treatment I would be having and asked if I had any questions. I had been a bit stressed recently and knew I had knots around my shoulder area and an aching lower back. Jade worked her magic and completely freed them. I left feeling totally relaxed. Fantastic experience. Would definitely recommend. Thank you so much Jade...you are an asset to the company.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend bannatyne to everyone. Very friendly staff. Went for 4 treatments which was a back, neck, face and head massage. We used to the pool area which was very clean. In shower area there was use of free hair dryer. The only issue we had was we used the bag service which had a towel, robe and flip flops for £12 each which we got told when we took them back we would get a full refund they didnt tell use that when we took them back we would get charged £6 each because they cannot re-use the flip flops we wouldnt of minded but we had not been told this at the beginning so when they refused to give a full refund we wasnt happy and told the manager that this hadn't been told to us. She said because the receptionist hadn't told use we could have a full refund but its against company policy but she did apologise and was very polite about it. We used to restaurant area and had a lunch which was very nice. I will definetly be going back again. All staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Positive experience: Needs refurbishment urgently in the changing rooms
Negative experience: Stuffs always broken apart from your direct debit system that works pretty good. Dirty shower area smells and it's disgusting. Something every week is normally broken takes 2 weeks to fix. Deffo need a manager that has a clue. The whirlpool in swimming pool is cover with grime around the top. It's disgusting. Who ever cleans and inspects this needs sacking.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous welcoming atmosphere on a Thursday night with Jo and her amazing slimming world group, 7:00pm every Thursday
Positive experience: Came here with my friend for a relaxing day and that's what we got .we dud the gym first then swimming then the spas .Last of all was the spa treatment that was amazing the ladies were very good . Hopefully going back when the refurbishment have been done to see what it looks like.
Positive experience: Had A spa day today as Xmas present from daughter. Thought the place looked tatty. In need of some cleaning. Decor bit dated. Felt not a great Spa place Staff lovely cannot fault. Spa treatments very good. Swimming pool too cold due to break down. Would go back for treatments but not for The facilities.
Positive experience: Staff are very good, Lianna in reception is very proactive and provides excellent customer service. Simeon took the time to show me around and answered all questions with confidence. Both staff went beyond what I would have expected. Classes are run very professionally.
Negative experience: Stopped going after 1st month because toilet was blocked still had pee in it not clean. No locks on shower doors. No where to hang towel in mens shower cubicles or trucks. My sister joined too and said the ladies showers had locks on doors and were clean. Not acceptable just because it was mens. Member spoke to me badly on 2 nd time i went saying i wasn't allowed to walk in changing room with wet feet, but how can i get dry fully in shower with no locks. Put me off going. Me and my sister cancelled straight away in writing but still had to pay another month which is £48.00. Very dissapointed.
