However, there are areas that require improvement:

- Inconsistent cleanliness: Although many areas are praised for cleanliness, some users have raised concerns about odors and maintenance in the changing areas.
- Staff availability: Feedback indicates that there are times when reception staff are not readily available, affecting customer service.
- Limited public swimming sessions: Some find that public swim times are crowded or restricted, which may limit accessibility.
Overall, 1610 Trinity Sports & Leisure is a solid choice for both swimming and gym activities, but improvements in booking processes and facility maintenance could enhance the user experience further.
1610 Trinity Sports & Leisure: Opinions
Negative experience: Understand that places have to be booked but system was down so couldn’t. Staff member very rude. Not inclusive for disabled
Negative experience: As with so many pools these days their lane swims are pointless for anyone looking to swim more than 1km. despite going to a lane session half the pool is dedicated to non swimmers. Staff do not ensure swimmers are in the correct lane which leads to a stressful experience when people refuse to even let faster swimmers through. Pool was grubby but changing room clean. Guy in reception was not living his best life and wanted the users of the pool to know it.
Fantastic experience: Issy answered all my questions regarding the swimming lessons clearly over the phone and then provided more details on how to use the 1610 APP via emails. Very happy with her help today.
Positive experience: pool shut frequently for cleaning
Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff and great community
Negative experience: Everywhere you look in the gym there are machines out of order, the ones that aren’t out of order are seriously worn. The water machine doesn’t work (and hasn’t done for a few weeks now), and the tap water in the cafe and toilets is warm. The WiFi is so shocking half the machines can’t actually connect to your phone to do your workout. Booking classes is a nightmare, unless you’re ready to book spin the second it becomes available you don’t have a chance in getting a spot Have to say though the staff have always been lovely, and helpful whenever possible. Wish I hadn’t booked a whole years membership
Negative experience: Sort your website booking out, it's utter nonsense you have to fully register your children with their own sub-accounts in order to book a family swimming session. Possibly one of the worst web booking processes I've come across, totally unintuitive. I'd love for somebody to explain why you require every child to subscribe with all of their personal information including a valid email and password, it's completely absurd! Each having to agree to the T&C's of the 1610! I'm sure this process is probably in breach of GDPR. Zero logic, just let me, via my parent account select X3 bookings for a family swim.
Fantastic experience: Staff always friendly, helpful, and professional..a whole range of activities lessons training and classes available
Positive experience: As long-term swimming pool users whilst our grandchildren learned to swim, the facility has remained consistent. Sadly there was a significant decline a few years ago with the introduction of an online booking system. Now, on the few occasions we need to book swimming, we have found that telephoning the booking is the only option.
Negative experience: Just a little more and it's been 3 weeks since I went to pick up my gym membership. They just talking to you and that's it. I do not recommend!!
Fantastic experience: My grandson has swimming lessons here. Nice pool and lovely teacher.
Fantastic experience: We basically live here as our daughter is in swim club. She loves it here
Fantastic experience: fantastic staff, very helpful.
Positive experience: Clean and tidy helpful staff
Positive experience: Good range of equipment. Friendly staff.
Negative experience: I'm utterly gobsmacked at the sheer incompetence at 16 10 .I've Been having problems now over a year concerning my account .Can't book any classes .Been in multiple time's to sort ot out and they do nothing from their end . I'm at a loss now weather I'm staying .I'm so fed up at the sheer lack of help and communication .Last night they too 16 pounds out of my account .to cover before my direct debit go's out .Abd I've been on line and can't find my 1610 account now .They took my money and gave me nothing . I'm so
Positive experience: Good. Like the formation of the swimming pools. Could be better on the Free time in the pools they would recommend some floaties, some swimming goggles and etc. I would go at least twice a week. The price is good. For 2 adults and 1 child it costs you £15.60 and it's for an hour.
Positive experience: BURNHAM is a better option if you are able to get there. Went to use the swimming pool and somewhat disappointed. Booking/website is not intuitive and hard work.tomfigure out who/how/what needs to be booked. On arrival the staff appeared quite preoccupied and dismissive of the customers waiting. There is no reception desk or anything obviously available for walk-in customers so easy to get missed by staff. Then, trying to get me and a 4 year old into the pool.. why do you n ed my full address, phone number, date of birth and email address given over at all and why if you INSIST does it have to be spoken? That's a lot of personal information being poorly managed as policy! And, an email addresses for a 4 year old?? Pool and showers were decent, showers didn't go off after 15 seconds and were decently warm. Pool appeared well looked after. But the changing area was grimy, smelly with lots of broken tiles and looker doors and wristbands. Seems like it could be a reasonable centre, but in my opinion the VERY BUSY SCHEDULE of a captive customer of schools means the centre doesn't have to make an effort to attract or maintain public paying customers and the service shows it. Functional space, but the effort around booking/data and prices don't make worthwhile as an ongoing option.
Fantastic experience: We booked our first Saturday swim recently. The changing area had plenty of space and was clean. The pool was clean and the staff were friendly. There are only a limited amount of spaces, which meant my son could safely practice his swimming. We can't wait to return.
Fantastic experience: Dive into an extraordinary swimming haven! This place offers a variety of classes tailored to different groups, ensuring an incredible swimming experience for everyone. And that's not all! Indulge in the ultimate relaxation at their cafe, where you can enjoy the best time while staying connected with their complimentary wifi.
Negative experience: Impossible to book online
Fantastic experience: Took granddaughter to swimming lessons, changing rooms good, nice cafe with reasonable prices. You can sit down by the window and watch the progress of your child. Pleasant staff, a nice experience.
Fantastic experience: I would recommend them anytime.
Negative experience: The communication between the centre and its members is very poor. They set up a new direct debit and took the money out of my account without any explanation of what the additional charge is for. The staff does not bother to reply to your emails, the reception is rarely available over the phone as no one picks up the phone. Overall a very poor experience. On a plus side the swimming classes are okay.
Positive experience: Cafe closed at 1pm
Positive experience: Machines are great, only downside was the hours of operation
Negative experience: Spent over 2 hours on the phone over the course of a week attempting to arrange swimming lessons, no one answered. Got a few responses over email before multiple emails from myself being ignored. Now going to inconvenience myself massively by taking my daughter to brean for lessons instead, but if 1610 is so incompetent they can’t even answer a phone, I can’t trust them teaching my child to swim.
Positive experience: Gorgeous swimming pool but they do 1 hour sessions not a free for all so make sure you arrive at the right time! Love the facilities but the website could definitely do with some improvements - it's hard to understand how to book things.
Positive experience: Went watch grandson for his swimming lesson.
Negative experience: Some good classes, but overall a bad taste: poor value for money and customer service that could make you cry.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been using various gyms up and down the country for many years due to my contract work, I can honestly say this sport centre is the cleanest I have ever used. From the swimming pool, to the gym and spin classes, everything is kept spotless. Lots of gyms post covid have left their standards slip, thankfully this does not apply to 1610. The staff and management are doing a great job.
Positive experience: Whilst the pool and immediate areas around the pool seem clean, the pool changing area has a really strong smell of urine, week after week, which is obviously really disgusting. It's clear that the main areas are washed down, but other areas less obvious are neglected in the cleaning routine too. Behind the doors in the changing room is covered in grime and windows are covered in dead flies.
Positive experience: Decent enough gym, friendly staff and not too expensive.
Fantastic experience: Haven't been for quite something, but the staff were very friendly and helpful, had an hour of enjoyable swimming be back soon
Fantastic experience: Great pool
Positive experience: Friendly gym with good choice of classes. I can't give a 5 star as I like the Aqua classes the and sadly for working people there are only 2 evening classes and for both classes you only have half the pool as you share with either the swimming club or people using lanes. With 30 people in a class, it can be a tight fit. Also the swimming club can be quite noisy and you are unable to hear your instructor. It's not the clubs fault it looks more like the coach has too many kids to manage and train to cope. The 1610 instructors are amazing and very motivating. Even after a long day in work they still want me to give them 100% in their session.
Positive experience: Pool is clean, changing rooms are too, but the website and booking system is awful. Also, too many allocations for swimmers in the lane and early bird sessions
Positive experience: Macht ein sehr guten Eindruck. Leider ist die Schwimmhalle mit 5 €/h umgerechnet recht teuer
Fantastic experience: Had my daughter birthday party at 1610 Trinity Sports Centre and it was great. My daughter and her friends enjoyed it so much. The little boats are amazing. Thanks so much. Will do again.
Positive experience: I've been going here for quite a while now, it's a nice place to go for swimming and the gym. Lovely staff and activities. My issues that I have are few although important, The swimming pool lacks a sort of cleanliness, it is clean and chlorine checked although I often find bits at the bottom, which is a kind of gross The gym is nice kind of compact newer machines which is great although when you're trying to lift heavy weights e.g. Deadlift you get complained to, other than this lovely gym Overall the swimming pool is my main reason for the negativity in this review
Negative experience: Talk rude and bit scary for kids. We going to the swimming lessons in to 1610 . And all great excluding new life guard. His picking on anyone near water especially kids. Talk rude and bit scary for kids. Even when mums take a good care in situations his still there to drop his point. I love go to swimming over there , and instructors are great 5 starts. Even rest of life guard are brilliant but this new stuff are really put me off to continue go to the lessons
Positive experience: I actually really enjoy going to 1610... the car park is a decent size and there's always somewhere to park... plus the amenities and fitness complex are great for whatever you want to do... I personally love the gym and pool but there's something for all ages and abilities... but the only thing that is slightly disappointing is the size of the gym... if it was a 1/3 bigger then would be able to fit afew more machines/weights in... other than that it's one of the best I've been too!
Fantastic experience: There are so many classes to choose from but they book up immediately so set an alarm to remind you. There is a pool for swimming lanes, family, lessons and classes. The gym is never overly busy because you have to book, so there is a limit on how many people are in. The class instructors are passionate about what they are doing. My fitness, stamina and core have improved since joining.
Fantastic experience: We’ve been members here before. The centre is nice. The only thing that let it down for us were the opening times. On a Sunday it was quite a short day from what I recall. Facilities are great and the classes excellent too. I recently paid for a class ad hoc as we’re not members anymore and it was brilliant. Circuit training on Thursday with Steve was absolutely exceptional. He really guided the class well and looked after everyone of varying levels.
Positive experience: Facilities are pretty good, new and clean. Reception and customer service leave a lot to be desired. Service is slow, sometimes non-existent and it is nigh on impossible to reach anyone via the phone.
Negative experience: No one answers the phone or emails!
Negative experience: Never answer the phone and public slots are always over crowded and shared with some swimming groups
Fantastic experience: Love this centre, especially Tri Swim on Tuesdays. Don't know what I'd do without my swim clubs here!
Positive experience: We take our kids here for swimming lessons, instructors are nice but the kids pool can be a tad cold
Positive experience: I'm so pleased to be back at the gym, my only real criticism is the air con, it needs to be alot cooler in the gym first session is always way too warm
Positive experience: Cold
Fantastic experience: The swimming lessons are great. The boy is progressing so quickly. We are very happy
Negative experience: As a non member the booking system is only for the classes where they make their money easily. Several times I’ve been waiting on the phone for over half an hour with no answer and ended up driving down just to book a badminton court. Come on guys, just let me book it online as a casual player without being a member. Reception area often unmanned, with no access to the cafeteria unless buzzed in.
Positive experience: Online booking system needs smoothing out but most staff were friendly when using the pool facility with our 4 yr old, some individuals could do with attending a customer service course but overall a good experience with staff. Changing rooms felt clean and didn't have your usual urine smell like some. Will certainly visit again, reasonable pricing on pool activities.
Negative experience: The facilities are fine and good instructors for the kid’s swimming, but really bad customer service (poor website and booking system, nobody answers the phone, reception rarely manned and when it is they make you feel like a hassle). Doesn’t feel like the staff want to be there or serving customers
Fantastic experience: Kids had a great time at a pool party
Positive experience: Clean and modern, but impossible to understand their website and figure out when there's any public sessions for the pool. Bring back Splash.
Positive experience: Great variety of classes and the pool is fab.
Negative experience: My kids have chemical burns from the excessive chemicals in the pool. They have red rashes all over their body! I've had to cover them in sudo cream. When you try and ring up to talk to someone, no one answers. And the web site is terrible to use to book sessions in.
Positive experience: Little bit to expensive for 50min of swimming.
Positive experience: Very nice modern sports centre
Positive experience: Great facility but no vegan options in the cafe.
Negative experience: 50% of the showers in the mens changing room stopped working, so they removed it. That’s not good for a gym with 20 sweaty people in it. 100% of the water dispensers in the gym broke, so they removed that too. There’s never any staff in the gym, so it’s completely unsupervised. The changing rooms themselves are filthy, especially the toilets and the one shower. The lockers haven’t worked in years. You can email a complaint, but you won’t get a response. You can complain to the person on the front desk, but they slopey shoulder the responsibility on to a third party and claim ignorance. The bonus is that you get to enjoy this all for just twice the price of the local competition - £40 a month. They really need to sort themselves out.
Fantastic experience: Muy buena piscina e instalaciones.
Fantastic experience: Nice clean place the kids love the pool and the hot chocolate in the cafe is one of the nicest we've ever had
Positive experience: Fantastic swimming pool and gym unfortunately at a weekend the working man can't go as they close at 14:00
Positive experience: Hardly ever anyone on reception, so a lot of hanging around waiting. I mostly use the pool, the changing rooms need a refit and someone needs to wipe the floors over. They are always soaking wet. Can't understand why you can't go for a swim any time of the day, the pool is nearly always empty. I have been into the gym a couple of times but same thing again, no staff around. And why do you have to join the gym if you only want swimming, why cant you just have swimming membership.
Fantastic experience: Cracking swimming lessons for the kids thank you
Negative experience: The gym facilities are always incredibly crowded and there is not enough equipment. Staff are friendly, but I would recommend signing up to another gym.
Positive experience: Great , grandkids love their swim lessons , love their swims on Sunday lunchtime but foods a bit expensive .
Fantastic experience: Great pool, well supervised, the booking in was quick , although they couldn't find my booking, this has happened before, but no delay very efficient.
Positive experience: Booking system not great for swimming lessons. Once i had got my child in has been great. Jess has been a fantastic teacher for my child and his needs (autism) altho a little busy at lessons times which parents need to think of when they sit pool side instead of the cafe and also the pool temperature needs to be warmer! Overall am happy now my child is in his swimming lesson :)
Fantastic experience: Great pool, with friendly staff. I suggest you call the gym and book a visit as the app is a bit confusing.
Fantastic experience: Been attending here for the past 11 years with my children doing swimming lessons one by one. Great place to visit.
Negative experience: website is hard to try and book a session
Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant. Perfect for kids. Floats and lots of space to splash around. Only issue is temperature in pools we're a tad cold for me
Positive experience: The children have swimming lessons at Chilton trinity. I would say the pool area is far to hot. The swimming pool is to cold and the showers are absolutely in much need of repair. They have repaired two in two years. The changing room is far to cold. No one seems to listen to any suggestions about anything. The pool temperature being to cold and the change room is far to cold. The children's lessons are coming on fine though.ps the children want me to also go in. Brrrrrrrr it takes too long to get used to the cold, thus you do not enjoy it. I thought that was the whole idea to enjoy swimming !!.
Fantastic experience: Very good instructor's
Positive experience: Great swimming main or training pool facility, book and pay online. Lockers and parking available. Showers, pool and changing is well maintained.
Fantastic experience: Very helpful lady on reception No fuss morning swim
Positive experience: They don't have enough equipment and The gym room is really small
Positive experience: Kids have got swimming lessons and they both love it. Ladys always try to help you with sorting out times etc...
Fantastic experience: Clean, lovely pool, swimming lessons for children are very good. Large coffee shop
Positive experience: It's ok
Negative experience: Tried booking online which didn't work as kept only showing me classes and non a standard swim. Tried phoning ans gave up after 15 minutes of waiting. Had to book at another pool. I'm shocked that 1610 got the contract again for the pool given how poor booking is
Fantastic experience: Used the pool only. Went as family of 4 toddler and baby. Just for a swim. Staff were really friendly. Lovely and clean. Lots different changing cubical. Parent and child with baby changing. Single. And bigger ones to. Different size lockers that take 1 pound coins or shopping trolley tokens. Water lovely warm. Easy to find and loads parking
Negative experience: Had good experiences in the past, now the website won't work and after 35 mins waiting for someone to answer the phone, it's impossible to get a place to swim!
Fantastic experience: Great place
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, clean facilities and plenty of changing rooms. Great swim.
Negative experience: Bad experience, turning into nightmare to get my money back, clearly it is a business and they don't care about the users, money grabbers. They charged me for booking the pool, never used it. Too much hassle to book anything, tennis court has to be booked by phone and they never answer the phone. 15 days with membership fully paid and didn't receive "the induction" to use the gym. Useless.
Negative experience: After 2 days attempts of 4x 20 mins on hold im guessing they dont answer the phone as its never answered .. as my child is under 3 i have no choice but to ring as cant book online for him, as per your rules.. shocking service for the only pool in a town
Fantastic experience: Excellent
Fantastic experience: Nice modern pool and sports facility. Recommended
Negative experience: I find the staff to be quite rude and unwelcoming. When it was mandatory to wear masks, staff members didnt. Not great.
Fantastic experience: Been trying for weeks to book aqua fit, but as we are only pay as we go we can never get a space as bookings always opens up a day earlier for members, seems like we are being penalised for notbeing a member just had a conversation with a member of staff, got told basically as we are not members we can't book until members have so all places gone again
Fantastic experience: Very clean and tidy inside. Staff are helpful.
Fantastic experience: Great swimming classes. Nice pool and facilities
Fantastic experience: Had a real great time with my two boys at the pool today, staff were incredibly helpful and we will be back soon.
Fantastic experience: The gym is now up and running, it appears very safe COVIDwise
Fantastic experience: All staff were friendly and helpful
