Fantastic experience: Absolutely love JD Gym! The equipment is well-maintained and plenty of equipment to use. It has become my go-to spot for crushing my fitness goals. The staff they are amazing, polite and talking to people. I really appreciate how clean the gym is. The managers are brilliant and always ready to help you. I recommend this gym to another in Ipswich looking for a new gym or to change gyms! Keep up the hard work. Abs

Fantastic experience: Have been at JD gyms since it opened and haven’t loved a gym this much since I started my fitness journey. I have Summer as my PT and can honestly say she has changed my life. Without her I don’t think I would have made as much progress as I have. Would highly recommend both JD gyms and Summer

Positive experience: A good gym but needs some extra attachments for the cable machines like a V bar etc very limited to the amount of attachments they have there as if you have to bring your own to body build:/ also machines very dusty upstairs needs a good dust wiping and given the circumstances that theres a lot of people using the equipment - there is no ANTI bacterial spray insight to spray equipment b4 using it, that is bad taking into account that so many people are USING and coming in coughing up to the gym etc.

Positive experience: Been at JD since opened , great range of equipment , just a shame that the equipment isn’t cleaned enough and that a good gym culture has not been enforced . Although gives me active rest between sets tiding things up wasted most of time though & Really crocs and sliders in a gym !!

Positive experience: The gym itself is disappointing, not very clean and most of the staff seem like they don't want to be there. I had a PT (James) for a few months and he was great & very motivating but the gym was always too busy. I wouldn't recommend this gym.

Negative experience: I joined here and was a member for overall 2 months. Some of the PTs look friendly because they’re with clients I presume but I never see staff on the gym floor cleaning or just walking about making sure members are safe and ok. I’m guessing this is because they’re in the office? Sadly the machines and equipment have been left to get dirty and I haven’t seen a member of staff clean in those 2 months I was there. I asked the pt Matthew/Matt? if they ever clean machines and he responded ‘I don’t get paid enough for that’ and laughed. I know this was probably sarcasm and light hearted but when you gym is disgusting…probably not best joke to make to genuine feedback and concern. Gym culture is shocking. Definitely aiming thier clientele to moderate/advanced gym goers or really young 16 year olds. Too many influencer wannabes for me. Heading elsewhere. JD can go ahead and cater to members who think they’re better than everyone else. GM can only do so much, not her fault.

Positive experience: I've been going to the JD gym for two weeks now and the equipment is ok. However, the sauna is often out of order or it's 75-80 degrees. The toilets are dirty.

Positive experience: nice gym but far too hot!

Negative experience: Worst gym. Took £100 payment for the past 4 months after confirming 4 months ago the membership was cancelled immediately and no more money would be taken. Rang and staff are no use at all. No help was given. Appalling customer service staff. None of my money returned.

Negative experience: Great gym until no QR code is generated for you to be able to access the gym on a Saturday...you stand for 15 minutes, pressing the green button with no staff around. So guess what...you can't access the gym. Very helpful.

Fantastic experience: Didn't know what to expect joining this gym but have been pleasantly surprised. The gym is well equipped with enough free weights and machines to keep you going forever and there are plenty of free classes. The gym is clean and the staff are helpful and welcoming. I really like the fact that there really are lots of people of all ages and abilities so it's not just all body builders or sporty athlete's.

I’ve been impressed with how well-maintained everything is, and the atmosphere is motivating without being intimidating. The staff are friendly and always available to offer advice if needed. Overall, it’s a top-notch gym that provides everything you need for a solid workout. Highly recommended for anyone looking to take their fitness to the next level!

Negative experience: No product to clean equipment. No member puts weights back, and not enforced by staff either. Very disappointing

Positive experience: Really great gym with a lot of equipment, fantastic dedicated glute area and gender specific saunas. Really impressed with how clean the toilets always are too. The only downside (and quite a serious one at that) is that the changing rooms lock at a certain time. Apparently there’s meant to be an announcement beforehand but I have yet to hear one. Last week I left my bag in the changing room and the doors locked automatically at 8pm. I had my house and car keys in my bag and was told by security there was nothing they could do and I had to come back in the morning. It is very alarming to me that a massive chain like JD has no emergency access technology, as there should be a duty of care to your customers. I was lucky that I live within walking distance of the gym, I left my windows open and my neighbour had a ladder so I could climb into my house and get my spare keys. Otherwise I would have been forced to sleep in the gym. As a young woman that is not safe. You really need to consider the safety implications of such archaic policies

Positive experience: Cool equipment and love the glutes area, but can get insanely hot in there especially upstairs! Parking can be a nightmare sometimes too. And don't get me started on the door to enter/exit, always takes a few tries which can be frustrating

Negative experience: My son was unable to retrieve his belongings from the locker he was usedas it had been closed off. He returned to find his lock cut open aaand belongings including his keys missing! I understand that things that are left will be opened but the room had been closed off when it was time to leave. Unacceptable

Fantastic experience: A great gym. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable personal trainers. It's air conditioned and cool, plus the studio has controllable temp and air speeds, great for keeping you cool in tough workouts and warmer for gentle stretching. Fab place! Really glad I joined.

Positive experience: AirCon is working way too much and unless you sweat a lot you might be freezing. Otherwise, load of different machines and enough dumbbells.

Positive experience: Absolutely love the gym but if I could make a suggestion it'd be nice if the classes had a way to sign up for them beforehand as I don't like to waste time on standing in the queue for 30min before the class.

Negative experience: Nice new gym with same old problems as the others in town: poor management (members (generally male) playing on phones whilst on equipment and taking ages to get through workouts, this should be stopped); equipment not maintained (i.e. Swiss balls always flat). No staff on the floors when I was last in, to ask if they could sort something out. I will give it a chance for awhile, then move on if it doesn't progress.

Fantastic experience: I go every morning 3am 2hr session great gym clean and tidy plenty off equipment to choose from.

Positive experience: Lovely gym, lots of great equipment and staff are always present. Only bad side is the gym etiquette - people don't deserve rack the machines and put the weights away making it hard to tell if they are still in use! Hopefully this issue is rectified.

Fantastic experience: It’s a really excellent gym, great Eleiko kit and loads of it for Olympic lifters. Lots of treadmills and other cardio equipment. The sauna is a great addition and so far I’ve liked the classes I’ve takes, especially Pilates with Sara. Now if only there was a pool!

Fantastic experience: Went today for the first time, very impressed, loads of equipment and really nice environment. Spoke to one member of staff who was super helpful and showed me around, would recommend.

Positive experience: I really enjoy this gym. Everything is just perfect for me. The only massive problem is why would you make 6 showers and only one of them have hot and cold water? The rest 5 showers only hot water. As there is sauna next to showers loads of people would like to enjoy cold shower after sauna but most of the time someone is using that cold shower. And the other 5 showers only have hot water? Why wouldn't you have made all of them hot and cold? That's such a shame about it and only thing that disappointed me..

Negative experience: I do not recommend it to fans of calisthenics. The ceiling makes training impossible. The grips on the bars are wide and thick(in this place with the bars). For classic gym fans, it's fine. QR codes don't work often
