Negative experience: When joining the sales person didn't tell anything about rolling over commitment, without any notification just they upgraded the contract themselves and took the money.

Negative experience: Is the most awful customer service I've dealt with but never respond till I have to chase them up again and again the gym is going downhill refurb and massive change of staff to the staff was in there now so rude and disgusting and the manager what waste of time never comes back to you still got the same gym equipment it was first open it's time for a change off manger and staff and equipment

Fantastic experience: AnytimeFitness was the first gym I signed back up too after nearly 2 years of “working out” at home, as I’d always feel “out of place” going into a gym - these guys have been AMAZING from the get go! They’re so helpful, super supportive and are always there for guidance - minor or major! Your wins are theirs too. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Fantastic experience: Anytime fitness is probably one of the best gyms I've been too. The staff are really friendly and the gym itself is clean. You can get on all equipment when you want which doesn't mess up your gym routine. They also have great classes and the instructors are knowledgeable and motivating. Always leave there feeling great!!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for over 10 years now, during that time I have trained with friends at other gyms and can honestly say that I've never been tempted to go anywhere else! I've never had anything bad to say about the gym but since Rob and the team have come in the transformation has been remarkable, the gym has everything you could need or want, the staff are friendly, welcoming and take a genuine interest in your fitness goals, the facilities are clean and well kept and the atmosphere in the gym is always friendly!

Fantastic experience: They are all so friendly! I mainly do the classes, and the instructors are knowledgeable and have helped me to improve my technique to make sure i get the most out of the exercise. As the gym is open 24/7, there is no excuse not to go. The machines are well maintained, and there are enough different machines to not get board

Fantastic experience: WHAT A TURNAROUND! 6 months ago I left a review about anytime Basingstoke which was 1 star, in this I was complaining about how badly this gym was run. 6 months on and this gym has made so many improvements! Amen! Firstly and most importantly the staff. Rob and the team have been brilliant since there arrival, they’re always happy to chat and are very welcoming to all users. Furthermore they keep the gym really tidy and are always on top of keeping it as safe as possible for a 24 hour gym. Rob and the staff regularly also engage with members and take the time to ask what they think is important in the gym and any changes that they will benefit the environment. This goes and has gone a long way into making it a friendly environment for long term members and newbies. The door is fixed and the staff are always present at the described times. A massive change which means people know that they can speak to staff when needed. New equipment and layout: There has been big changes in this gym in terms of layout. The staff have moved bit’s and pieces around to make certain areas and equipment more accessible for users which again gives the gym a fresh and open feel. New handles which have replaced old and worn ones have also been purchased. Toilets are also now regularly cleaned and can actually be used. Overall AF basingstoke has turned a massive corner and seems like the owners have really put some thought behind this gym. It’s a different vibe as to what it was 6 months ago and it has come such a long way. I’m glad I persisted with AF Basingstoke and my faith has finally been restored! I Highly recommend this gym!

Fantastic experience: Under new management the club has really improved. Staff are helpful and personal trainers are very knowledgeable. The gym isn’t too busy at any time and is kept really clean. It’s a really nice environment to train in.

Fantastic experience: Anytime fitness Basingstoke is absolutely the best gym I’ve been to. The staff are so friendly and Rob has really helped me achieve my fitness goals so far. I have personal training sessions and they are really helpful as I learn new techniques and use different equipment. Anytime fitness Basingstoke has really helped me with my weight loss. I have lost 37 lbs in just over 12 weeks so far. The team are really knowledgeable on the equipment and there’s always a friendly smile when I see them. The gym has a wide range of equipment ranging from a free weights section to cardio equipment to a room with spin bikes. The fact that it’s 24/7 is so convenient as I don’t have to worry about opening times. Overall it’s a great gym. Really would reccomend it!

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with the gym now Rob and team have come in. They've done a terrific job. Everything seems to be in working order and the issues I had before are no longer there. After some thought I have returned and resubscribed as a member and am very satisfied with that decision so far.

Negative experience: *AVOID AT ALL COST* I used the gym for about a year and the gym its self isn’t bad. However recently tried to cancel my membership and was told it’s all fine and I’d be billed one more month. However they’re now denying y any emails from me about this and stating I have to complete a form however because my membership is not active the form doesn’t recingnise me and all I’m told is complete the form even when explaining. They continue to charge me and threaten me with extra charges. Absolutely disgusted at this and from reading other comments this is a common theme.

Negative experience: I started back in February, I'm so sick off not being able to get in the gym because the key fob won't work a few times I've come early can't even get in so many wasted trips ....I'v decided not to come back due to this i Will be emailing them to get back money I've paid out .

Negative experience: Not easy to access map takes you trough a buss lane thanks to the placement of your gym ill be canceling as most of the gyms I've been too now either don't have parking you have to pay or this one you get a ticket coz you drive trough. Taxi and bus lane because it warns to late

Negative experience: Extremely bad experience. I started a 6-month contract, and they continue to charge me beyond that. I'm attempting to contact them, but no one responds to emails, no one answers the phone, and they completely ignored me. I was obliged to apply for clossing a contract with "commitment end date" and clearly defined period (6 months). And guess what? They took my money and close my access in the gym. Just to steel your money, basically you start a gym and ends up in a court to take your money back. You begin working out to manage your physical and mental health you ends up in very stresfull situation. By not mentioning that: there are no instructors or classes there (i was not planning to use any, but they are part of payment, so you pay a service that does not exist). At least 20-30% of times the dor will be broken, or you cant enter or everybody from the street can enter. They exist just to steal your money they dont care about customer, and you cant complain nowhere. Make yourself a favour to keep away from this gym. Edit: Excatly 2 hours after this review i got contacted by them, telling me that they are gonna charge me another month (according to the contract) but meanwhile i can enjoy the gym from train station. So for 4 weeks they dont care solving the issue, but when you leave negative feedback they are interested to reply (not solving the issue). Let see for long terms which is more valuable 100£ stollen or a bad review.

Negative experience: Damaged equipment rips in some of the seats on the machines a lot of wear and tear and also mould in the changing facilities! Would recommend going else where! Would give 0 star review if possible

Negative experience: Me and a friend were hoping to start using this gym, after registering online you have to meet a staff member to activate your key fob. We turned up at 7:30 (meant to be staffed until 8) with nobody there to greet us. We rang the doorbell several times and tried to call them as well with no luck. We eventually left at 7:55 assuming the staff had packed up and gone home early. Very disappointed that we cannot use the membership we are paying for and have wasted a journey and a parking fee.

Fantastic experience: I was in hospital a long time (4 years) and losing all my muscle means I went up to 130kg. I was horrendously overweight. I struggled for ages to lose anything. Jordan and the team at Anytime Fitness advised me of a diet and set me a fitness program, I was slim in no time at all. I tried every other gym in Basingstoke, no advice and poor weights. This is certainly one of the best fitness centres in the world and highly recommended

Negative experience: Honestly awful - signed up over a year ago and I stupidly didn’t realise I signed up for a years contract but that’s on me. Decided it wasn’t for me so emailed in July to cancel and they emailed back saying it would be cancelled and last payment would be in July. A payment came out in august that likely was that payment but when I asked they didn’t reply until 5th of September saying there will be another payment! I’ve emailed them and their head office and have had nothing back. When I first joined they were quick to reply and constantly call me at work so I imagine they’re just ignoring me.

Negative experience: Avoid avoid avoid!! The scam in anytime Basingstoke which others have pulled up on at other branches it’s not 30 days notice they will always try and get 2 months payments from yourself read the small print or even better avoid completely. This gym in particular is meant to have 24/7 use but the tag reader is always playing up meaning you have to wait until someone else enters or leaves to enter through the door it gets really annoying. More then one occasion people who are not members get let in by other members which can be annoying if you are paying full membership it’s not fair multiple people can use the same tag, there is no parking either so unless you live within walking distance give it a miss. This gym is unhygienic don’t take my world for it go and visit, The amount of dirt on the machines and dust is unreal, dumbells are always left out on the floor and never in order or in the right place. It does not seem to bother the staff as that’s the standard of this gym is very low, I came from the Bordon branch it’s a completely different and a much higher standard after asking Jordan for management contact number he said there’s no area manager we are a franchise this probably explains the difference in service. They are pretty understaffed as you never see any of the staff unless they are training themselves. Save yourself a lot of time and avoid i have been using gyms for over 20 years regularly.

Negative experience: A good business shouldn't have to trap their customers into contracts. I signed up to a 12 month contract. I knew I was going to move house in a few months but was told that when I moved house I could cancel my membership. When I did move house, I was told this wasn't the case, so I had to continue paying for a gym membership I wasn't using. When I finally ended my membership, I was told that I could just continue on a rolling monthly basis. Why wasn't this an option when I joined? I'm now at Pure Gym, I keep paying monthly because I like the gym, not because I'm forced to. Highly recommend going to a different gym.

Negative experience: I was a member for about 5 years but have now left for another gym. Similar issues as others: blocked refunds, double booked PT sessions and being ignored.

Negative experience: We travel around the UK sharing experience and giving reviews on gyms. This gym is poor . Dirty and has a lack of quality cardio machines. The equipment is dusty and clearly hasn't been cleaned in a long time . Layout is poor and not correct on the muscle groups your trying to work .. we would not recommend for serious gym enthusiasts or athletes. We're see what the next anytime holds.

Positive experience: Cancellation issues over the last few months. Hugely irritated, but spoke to the phone to Jordan who is handling it for me. Will update this when it is resolved.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with the service post-lockdown. They have blocked my membership (which was paid in advance) and after 3 calls and 5 emails in the last 6 days, I still cannot get a call back from any of the representatives.

Negative experience: they didn't want to refund the lockdown months even been customer for years, they continued to charge full amount to later continue charge half fo the price. You will not get any refund even if you entitled like the fob , you will not be able to give back even though the mention is a deposit. wathever.... avoid!

Negative experience: Communication and customer service is disgusting here. I joined knowing there was a contract however due to heatlh issues I could not continue to attend the gym. I clearly stated this when i signed up. Fast forward to now they don't pick up the phone (EVER) and there's a very unprofessional voicemail of someone unintelligibly talking on the phone. You literally can't understand a thing, completely useless). They've continued to charge my account and send me emails monthly and have not got back to me, I've completed cancellations forms and send multiple emails with still no reply but they are still robbing me monthly. I would NOT recommend this gym to anyone. DONT waste your time and money with businesses that have none other than a terrible customer service. Oh yeah, to top it off there's no parking

Positive experience: Good gym, a little bit small, so the equipment is somewhat limited. You can find better gyms in Basingstoke if you want to spend more and don't need the 24/7 access.

Not good as gymbox in London (you pay more there). Lack space to be fair for more classes. Bathrooms are in general clean...

Fantastic experience: Had to cancel my membership as I can’t afford it anymore I had an issue where Anytime Fitness was still trying to bill my account even though I had to cancel. Thankfully a lad Named Johnathan sorted out all my issues in under 5 minutes cheers fella.

Negative experience: Tried to cancel my membership as per the terms of my contract as I'd moved over 15 miles away from the gym. After initially agreeing to refund the remainder of my membership I have had radio silence for a month. They ignore emails, phone calls and still have the gall to text me "offers" asking me to renew my membership for another year.

Fantastic experience: Really glad that it has reopened. It's a lot quieter with less people but that's a good thing. It was beautifully cool in there today compared with outside. Great to be back.

Negative experience: Decent amount of weights and equipment, but the gym is not maintained well enough. Equipment is out of order for long time and the showers are often dirty . The entrance door has been broken for some time and this morning the fobs were not working so I couldn't get in. I am a member only because it claims to be a 24h . This is the third time this has happened... annoying when you get up at 5 am... just wasted my time and pre-work out

Negative experience: Hmmmmm 24hour access?? Myself and 3 other people would disagree right now as we're stood outside and the key fob reader will not let us in? Why sell a product and not provide the service you claim to offer?

Fantastic experience: I had visited several gyms before coming to anytime. The gym itself is ok, not without fault (bathrooms could be nicer!) The main reason I joined here was the staff, when I first enquired I asked them to sell the gym to me and why I should join, they did so very well & stood true to the fact that the staff are very approachable and friendly. Darryl and Jordan help your workouts become more effective and advise where you can improve.

Positive experience: Nice gym all kept well in excellent condition. Only downside there's no punch bag. All other gyms have them but this one has not one. Please add punch bag one or two and will be 5 star GYM . THANK YOU

Negative experience: i was a member of the club in fleet which was sold and the lack of communications /service from Parkclub have left me without a gym for 6 weeks and they still owe me money for the time it was closed

Fantastic experience: I’ve always been on and off with the gym and I’ve tried a fair few but I can honestly say the greatest results I’ve had is when I trained at Anytime Fitness Basingstoke. The fact that you can train at whatever time throughout the day/night just makes life a lot easier. Also I’ve found the staff extremely helpful and very friendly. Massive thanks to Darryl for getting my membership reinstated. Looking forward to training and gaining

Fantastic experience: The environment of this place is amazing, nobody is being judgemental because everyone is too focused on improving themselves. The staff are friendly, it’s convenient for shift workers who are on late shifts as you can go after work without having to worry about rushing. They offer deals with local establishments and PTs. Good central location within walking distance of Train Station.

Fantastic experience: Having a 24hr gym has been great. Working shifts makes it difficult to fit training in during conventional times, but 3am is no problem and i get the whole place to myself. Never had any issues with equipment or facilities either

Negative experience: There is no car park and double yellow line everywhere, if you want to park your car, leave it on festival place for roughly £5 or you can leave your car on the train station for 2 hours for free. Come on guys it is 2016 and there is no car park!!!! It is just a shame!!!!
