Negative experience: The changing rooms were filthy. Toilet paper and dirt/rubbish on the floor. Far too busy couldn’t move in the pool not an enjoyable experience

Positive experience: Fun for what it is. Not much to do with only 2 slides, one of those being for little kids. Very clean though, and quite cheap. Worth a visit

Positive experience: Staff are lovely. Changing rooms a little tight and if you forget to put something in your locker then you have to buy another token to lock it!

Positive experience: Kids loved the pool and flumes. Extremely busy. The changing facilities were disgusting and in very short supply. Needs more staff to clean and more money spent on facilities.

Positive experience: The gym is good, in the mornings is not crowded, had a very nasty issue with one of the receptionists but seems to be sorted… overall is a good place to go and train… pools always overcrowded so cant be bothered

Negative experience: It was our first time visiting today and we won't be back. Dirty, over crowded, irritating token lockers single turn token lockers, and every employee we encountered was rude. Save yourself the waste of time and head to Oasis Fun Pools.

Negative experience: Advertise that they are open until 6 on Saturday but don’t tell you that if you arrive after 5pm they won’t let you in. I pay for a membership and planned to be out of the gym by closing time but after walking all the way there I was denied entry and told I would have had to book online earlier to be let in after 5pm? Really disappointed in the service as it seems the staff just want to go home early. When I was working in these industries this would have never been allowed. If you advertise to be open until a certain time you should let paying members use the facilities until that time. Wasted my time, really bad first impression as I was not told any of this information when I signed up and now feel I have wasted my money.

Fantastic experience: We went for the soft play and then play swimming after. My boy had the time of his life especially on the flumes and playing in the pool. Great for a rainy day in Newquay.

Positive experience: Good pool overall, but the water shooter in the only shallow part of the pool is very annoying. Was sat with my 3 year old who just wanted to play on the steps and children kept spinning this water shooter and purposely aiming them at myself and my child so we had to move. He had to be held everywhere else in the pool as it was too deep. Please consider changing this feature as it would put me off going again.

Positive experience: Water was too cold for babies. Extremely noisy and wanted to use swim pool too, but has to be booked separately. Slippery, dirty floors. Inadequate signage when it is your first visit. Will not be making a return visit.

Positive experience: Brilliant fun pool for little ones, couple of slides and very easy play pool. Only con - more family changing is needed. But defo worth a visit.

Positive experience: It's a fun pool for kids to while away an hour or two. Saved us when we had six days of rain during our week in Cornwall.

Negative experience: Before I start we went only to the fun pool during the Easter holidays so I doubt this is typical. However, it was fairly unpleasant. Very busy, the pool was pretty cold for my baby (19 months, I wouldn’t recommend for this age group.) It was so busy it was hard to keep track of my 3 year old. There were long queues for the flumes, and no one monitoring them so a guy with needs (I’m guessing) was just barging everyone out of the way to get to the front. The changing rooms were filthy. Bins over flowing and rubbish all over the floor. It’s much cheaper than other flume pools locally but I think they are achieving this by keeping very low staffing levels and packing the punters in.

Fantastic experience: Went to kids fun swim at half term and loved it. Good changing facilities. Hair dryers available.

Fantastic experience: Usual council run sport centre, fit for purpose (no pun intended!) no frills but sl the basics covered

Positive experience: Staff are generally good but there seems to be a problem with keeping the pool, gym, studios and dressing rooms anywhere near warm enough. Even the poolside air temp is too cold and will add to the water heating cost as it will lose temperature more quickly if the air is too cool.

Positive experience: Great slides. Friendly staff. Lifeguards seemed vigilant. The fun pool itself seemed ok, however the cleanliness of the surrounding floors, the floors in the changing rooms plus the steps up to the pool needed some attention.

Fantastic experience: A very friendly and well designed facility which encourages so many with activities for people of all ages and abilities and needs.. Well done to every single member of the team in a wonderful achievement. May it continue to be the happy venue it is and provides.. Bill

Negative experience: Staff absoulutly miserable from checking in life guards looked miserable (a smile here and there wouldn’t go amiss) pool dirty bits floating around sand on bottom of pool.Everywhere needs a lick of paint pool cold ,changing rooms need attention removing excess water etc 2 stars given for the flumes first and last visit.

Positive experience: Dissapointed really. Was on a holiday in St Ives, the pools there werent too great, so decided to look around and saw this pool. Booked in advance, and travelled up there. Receptionist wasnt the most pleasurable person, quite short in answers and rude. Not many cubicles to use, but i didnt have any issue with one being available. The pool itself (family fun pool) was smaller than expected, the "deep end" was about 1.2m! And the slides where smaller than antisipated. They definatley over sell it well on their website. All in all, wasnt worth the money.

Positive experience: Ladies Changing floor / shower area was dirty and covered in hairs - Toilets were also dirty!

Negative experience: Checked the website for swimming and nothing on there to say you have to book before arrival. Arrived at the pool and a very rude receptionist told me you need to book it says online. When I told her there was nothing online to say we had to book I was called a liar. We didn't go back, I'm not giving money to a place who are rude

Positive experience: Place was good but very expensive because of our 5 admissions and to only be allowed to swim for less than 1 and a half hours. Changing room is manic and not enough space so loosing time waiting for others. The place is tired and needs seeing too rusty areas but what I didn't like was how ridiculously busy it was way too many people in the pool and uncomfortable. This made a good 5 10 min wait for flumes.

Negative experience: This swimming pool and changing rooms is absolutely filthy. The dirtiest I have ever been to. There was rubbish and used nappies in the family changing room when we got changed and there's no shoes off rule so there was mud, grass etc. everywhere. The actual swimming pool had what looked like chunks of sick or food in wherever I looked. When u looked down the sides of the flumes or just any corner etc. it was just disgustingly dirty like it had never ever been cleaned. Then we got out and as there were no family changing rooms free I went to take my little one to the female changing room and it was even worse there was sooo much hair on the floor, tissue, just all kind of grosseness. We went back to family changing room and got one but the door didn't lock. It honestly was so disgusting. I am fully expecting us all to contract some kind of sickness or disease in the next few days, I'll keep u posted on that! It genuinely needs closing down, deep cleaned and proper cleaners hired to regularly clean changing rooms and procedures for cleaning the pool areas. Or just literally demolish it and start over it's that filthy. I very politely fedback at the end that the kids had had fun but it was so dirty and the guy on reception finished my sentence like it was a common complaint but said all the lifeguards are young and cant be bothered with the cleaning. I dont think this is an excuse as the lifeguards at oasis are young but its spotless. Get cleaners, train the lifeguards i dont know but do something or this place should be shut down. On the up side the kids had a good time on the slides and splash areas.

Positive experience: Arguably the most council run establishment I've been to in Newquay very expensive for what you get Vs other council offerings and very poor cleanliness in the site. I've only given 3 stars due to helpful staff and good facilities otherwise expect lower. If swimming expect to get just an hour for your money do not expect the full 80 mins! They factor in changing time into this session which is poor imo.

Positive experience: Went swimming and soft play here. Swimming pool had two flumes and a small inflatable which our 7 year old liked. It only had a tiny shallow area near the steps which we couldn't stay in with toddlers as there were moving water shooters which sprayed the kids constantly - not ok for smalls :( Soft play was really good. It's in the same building as trampoline park which looked fantastic though at £12 for an hour was too expensive for us. My 7 and 3 year old we're happy enough in the soft play - £5 for 2 hours.

Fantastic experience: Very good place , they have two pools , a normal big pool which is abosloulty clean and well set also they have a small pool for kids that has slides and water games ,changing rooms are ok ,a little strange that you can use the locker token once and you have to pay 30 p for the locker .I would recommend going there for swimming or a water fun day for children's

Negative experience: The children’s pool was awfully cold! We had to take our 1 year old out after 20 minutes as she went blue from cold. Really not the fun experience we’d looked forward to

Positive experience: It's ok, the desk staff member seemed a bit blunt and didn't understand why two children with disabilities would require a carer each.. but we got in fine. Have to buy locker tokens for 30p each, would of been nice to use a £1 or trolly token like other places but it's not too bad. The family changing rooms are nice and clean. The pool was clean and fun with a big slide and small slide. My 14 year old was bored quickly buy my 7 year old loved it.

Fantastic experience: Went for family swim session and all good besides very cold water. By the time our bodies had become accustomed it was time to leave.

Positive experience: Joined gym today and not been here for 20 odd years ( took kids swimming along time ago) First you have to pay for parking which I'm not bothered about as only £3 a month but you have to buy 2 months so paid £6 even though may nearly over. Little bit tired looking on entrance but not that dirty. Lady on reception wasn't the happiest and even though I explained I was new she looked like she didn't have time for me which was annoying as I paid £50 to join then the parking. Just pointed to where gym was. She could of been more helpful or polite maybe even smile. Toilets were old and dirty and smelly. But the gym was really clean, good selection of equipment again all clean. Needed someone there to man it as I had a few questions, I also wasn't on my own as 2 other young ladies had questions aswell. But we worked it out together. Only 2 showers in gym and 1 not working and not shown where others were. I'm hoping the experience will get better.

Positive experience: Nice swimming pool with a fun slide, had a good time with the kids Only negative is the limited amount of family changing rooms, there was a queue for these when we visited .

Fantastic experience: We came swimming at the funpool. Great prices Lots of changing facilities and Lockers Clean and tidy Fun pool had plenty to do, flumes floats slides, water cannons etc. 90 minute sessions.

Fantastic experience: We came for a week to stay at a holiday park which only had an outside pool, looked around for a local pool and came across this one. We have pools in Ipswich, but this one was spacious and adequate to bring our ball along, sorry for the locals if any of you got hit by it, but thanks for a goodtime.

Positive experience: Went for a family swim, was nice but unfortunately the main green slide was not working

Negative experience: Bit of a swizz. You pay more than every other trampoline park I've been to, but then have to pay parking, of which there is bloody loads. Icing on the cake you have to BUY trampoline socks. This should be included in the price like every other place. Works out £15 per hour per person so not the best value. Obviously prices to extract the most out of tourists. Shame as it is a well kept place.

Positive experience: The pools are great fun, and the deep pool was awesome! However! At the trampoline Park, I hit my head on my knee while jumping into the foam pit. The pool was great. Trampoline Park... Not so great

Negative experience: What a soul-less boring ‘fun’ pool, water temperature was barely warm enough service was perfunctory, without any interest parking was expensive. I’d probably choose to sit at home at watch paint dry than come back here. It’s no wonder the nearby oasis fun pool is fully booked and there was only a dozen people here.

Positive experience: We only visited the zoo and it was smaller than expected and didn't take longer than 45 mins to walk around

Positive experience: Has a Great pool with two slides, one for smaller and one for bigger kids. It also features a gym which Is pretty standard and well kept.

Positive experience: Changing rooms were freezing, thankfully the showers were warm, main slide closed, pool area and pool temperature not overly warm.

Positive experience: We visited here during the half term break. Facilities were clean and pool was decent with plenty of fun activities for the kids. There's also gym facilities here. My only criticism was it was rather cold inside. Building needed to be at ambient temperature especially if you have young children. However definitely Worth a visit.

Negative experience: Only 1 flume in use. 30p for a token for your locker which is a single use. Water was not warm. Absolutely freezing from pool to changing room. £29.50 for this pleasure. Other's look elsewhere.

Negative experience: Greeted with resentment. Changing room facility was disgusting. Mould in all corners, dirty nappies left laying around. (Yes plural) Pool temperature was unworkable for anyone with children under 5. Our 2 year old was blue within minutes. Only one slide was working. All “lifeguards” had a disgusting attitude as if their presence there was an inconvenience to their social life. Baffled that anyone would revisit.

Positive experience: Had a lovely time in the fun pool. You have to book and you receive a coloured band. They let you know when your time is up. Be prepared to have some cash to buy a non refundable locker token 30p.

Fantastic experience: Really good water venue, only issue was day I visited not all slides were open but really good and will visit again on my next trip to Newquay, the kids loved every second of it, also really like that it was tailored toward children as the deep end wasn't really that deep which made everything much easier and feel safer

Negative experience: Main pool dirty with bits floating in it, a dirty tide mark sits all around edge. The walk ways are filthy, feet are black before entering pool. Changing rooms dirty too. It's a huge health hazard. I've reported to Cornwall Council but had no reply. My advise don't go.

Negative experience: Lots of things broken. Way over crowded had to wait for a changing room. Staff rude and whole place freezing. Not happy about paying full price with one slide out and everything else broken. Don't waste your time

Negative experience: Disappointed, pool was cold, only hippo slide and snake open, even the tub that drops water wasn’t working, was like an ice wind tunnel between pool and showers, lengths pool wasn’t open. Such a shame.

Positive experience: Leisure pool good for the kids, but it was cold in the pool hall so didn't stay as long as we'd liked. Also you need to check when each facility is open because when we arrived at 10am on a Wednesday the pool and the soft play were closed so we had to come back later and had already paid a few pounds to park!

Positive experience: Our first visit here. Turned up at 10am and were told the pool isn't open untill 1 30pm. We came back at 1.30 and were asked if we booked. We hadn't, but luckily were allowed in. The pool area was cold as if there was no heating on in there. There was a large pool (maximum depth 1.2m), 2 water slides (the bigger one was closed) and not much else. We felt the entry price was fair as other local waterparks were more expensive.

Negative experience: Came for a swim while on holiday - found it a bit grim, water was too cold in both the fun and the lanes swimming pool, changing area and showers all very cold too!

Fantastic experience: Variety of differing attractions here from the zoo, mini train and play area for the kids. Great space to take a family as lots of choice on what to do

Fantastic experience: Good place for the kids to have some fun, two water slides. It's abit crazy and cramped in the changing area but I guess the reason being is its busy in peak times.

Negative experience: Really disappointed by this Leisure centre and pool staff today. Someone vomited in the pool, very obvious physical matter and colouring in the water and the staff did NOTHING. Massive vomit over stairs leading out of the pool and in the changing area. No one advised swimmers to come out, the pool wasn't closed, people just kept coming in to swim, oblivious of the poor hygiene and infection risk. I am absolutely shocked. Senior management need to get their act together. We certainly won't be going back. Also... One of the flumes was also broken and out of action. The air and water temperature was very very cold! I would not recommend.

Negative experience: Disgusting. After reading other reviews it’s clear the place is run down and not overly hygienic. Unfortunately we witnessed a child be sick in the pool and the stairs and the changing area and the ladies sink (the parent obviously trying to rush them to a toilet doing all they could) This is no one’s fault of course however it wasn’t dealt with well, sick still on the floor around the lockers after it had been cleaned, then another lifeguard trying to wash the chunks out of the drain gratings with a watering can and they netted out the pool what they could but said their policy is to keep the pool open and we would be fine to swim in it as the chlorine levels were ‘really high’ not sure that’s a good thing either. Needless to say we didn’t get in the pool and decided to leave. We did get a refund.

Negative experience: Being a local I was really disappointed and a little bit embarrassed that this is the quality of service we’re giving to the people here in Cornwall. The changing rooms and pool were filthy water was on the cold side to be honest and water level in the pool was very low compared to previous visits the main orange flume was broken water canon hose was ripped out and just dangling in the water like a hose pipe the water bucket which fills up then tips over an area of the pool wasn’t working upright water snake was broken with a makeshift sign on it displaying ‘don’t twist the snake’ it was a disgrace really for a fun pool I realised after I was overcharged by £6 compared to the internet prices and when I questioned the receptionist about it she told me I read it wrong and those were the prices and that she never makes mistakes. Upon arriving home and checking again I’m afraid she has made a mistake and I was overcharged and they call it a fun pool I think not.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool. Lots to entertain the children; slides, floats and places to explore. It was busy when we went. The only thing needed was a few extra changing rooms as it was packed.

Fantastic experience: Came here instead of Oasis Fun Pools as they were not accepting non residents. 2 hour swim session booked on arrival, wrist bands provided for the kids. Warm pool, Flume slides fun, kids enjoyed! Table and chairs dotted around the pool. Easy parking, paid for on Just Park app.

Negative experience: Smaller than expected, 2 slides out of action but still charged maximum entrance fee. Dirty pool and dirty changing room.

Negative experience: Tired and a little tatty springs to mind . Reception was so noisy I couldn't hear the receptionist when she spoke . It was a wet day and the pool was busy, we waited20 minutes for entry. Paid but no mention was made if locker requirements . These were pay by card and found at the entrance way to the pool ! Changing rooms were squashed and not well laid out . Main pool was chilly but well monitored by the life guards . There is a dirty grime mark around the waters edge over most of this pools sides. I didn't venture to the deep end of the pool as we had a new swimmer in our group . Splash pool , was busier and warmer . Lots of debris in this pool though , such as plasters and something odd we didn't investigate but instead opted to leave. The equipment is showing signs of age and the flumes weren't open.

Positive experience: Good for family day out . They should think of adding some more water rides .

Negative experience: We went for a fun swim but ended up leaving 40 minutes early due to how unclean the pool and poolside was. There was a used plaster in the water, a lump of what looked like mushed fruit on the poolside, as well as leaves and other flecks of grime in the pool. In addition to this, the pool was very crowded making it potentially dangerous. The pool temperature was also very cold, so much so that people's lips turned blue. I usually don't write reviews but I was so disgusted by the quality of the pool that I felt I had to.

Negative experience: The pool was that cold my 2 year old had to get out as her lips, finger nails and toe nails went bluey/black. The pool temperature literally ruined the experience. The pool needs to be made warmer it ruins the whole day out.

Negative experience: Didn’t even get to go in after paying £3.40 in the car park as they don’t Except cash ! When has cash not become legal Tender my two girls both very upset , please make this clean on your timetable as pop in for a time table 2days before hand

Fantastic experience: A great family day out. Our children loved the slides and so did we. Family changing is great and the shower was lovely. The 90 minute time slot was perfect as the kids were ready ro get out by this time.

Negative experience: Had to book online as impossible to get reception phone number cost 19 pound for one adult and two children. We used to go two years ago then when covid hit we stopped so I thought they might have revamped it a little. boy was I wrong changing rooms were dirty wall dryer not working. You cannot find a smile on any of the staff just the look of I don’t want to be here . Lockers are a joke thirty pence for a token paid by card don’t forget anything like I did and it cost me another token . Got to the pool to find small slide not working water bucket not working no snake in the pool so just orange slide .had to laugh there’s a broken clock leaning against the wall been like that for over two years so if they can’t move that are they cleaning properly. Sadly won’t be going again.

Fantastic experience: We love the family fun pool and visit nearly every other weekend. Changing rooms are big and the showers are hot! We usually visit on a Sunday to make use of the free parking but they do have a free swim session during the week after school which always makes the session a sweet one. The family pool isn’t too deep and gives the kids a nice space to tread water.

Fantastic experience: Loads of fun things to do for all ages, trampolines, pools, one fun family pool with flumes and one for actual swimming... kids play areas, gym and all at great prices and lots of parking!

Positive experience: Great place to visit. Has plenty on the site, normal lanes and family fun sessions in the splash park bit. Only thing to be aware of and no fault to the place is there is council parking charges outside which can be really pricey. But start at 09:00 finish at 16:00 so after this time you don't obviously have to pay for parking.

Positive experience: The pool was good fun, the kids really enjoyed their time there, they loved the slides BUT it was filthy all around the pool. The floor tiles were in desperate need of a good scrub with a hard brush and bleach.This place needs to be shut down for a day or 2 and deep cleaned. I couldn't believe how bad it was. There was also litter under the slides that could have easily been removed but wasn't. It ruined my experience and I won't return unless I know this has been done. A shame really as it wasn't cheap!!!

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool and soft play facilities but does lack family changing rooms especially when both was packed today which is surprising with covid being high in our area. Also be careful with lockers as if you put one token in and lock it and then go back and open it to put something else in you can’t re use token u have to buy another token.

Fantastic experience: My son had loads of fun paid for a repeat session straight after his first hour, lovley coffe facilities.

Negative experience: I'm not sure how much of this review is down to us going in a busy half term week but it was the quickest our family entered a pool and then out again! If the weather wasn't blowing a gale, we would have been better in the sea. I think the family pool is really a junior pool for primary school children and under. Our 12yo and 15yo were bored in 20 mins as there was no way to actually swim and the slides were tame. Despite being timed slots it felt very crowded but I acknowledge this could be a reaction following 2 years of Covid. The female changing rooms were filthy. The toilets had run out of toilet roll in 2 of the cubicles. Someone's child got locked in the cubicle, prompting Dad to come in to rescue their child, much to the Mum's embarrassment. Another cubicle we tried had a broken lock. The lockers were often full of clothes but with open doors where people needed to go back to the locker, but the 30p token used up each time you opened the door. The token machine was in reception, so maybe buy a couple of tokens before you get undressed...that is if accepts your card...it wouldn't accept mine by tap or swipe. It didn't feel good value for money.

Positive experience: The lady who attended to us at reception was lovely and helpful! Couldn’t ask for better. The pool was lovely size for the kids and the water seemed clean, with two slides and a water spray area unfortunately the spray thing was broken. The only thing I would have to moan about is the cleanness of the floor around the stairs and between the slides.

Positive experience: Not a bad place for families. All is open during the winter. Impossible to get thru to them to ask them a simple question. I love the location. Pool could be a little more entertaining.. they have a stack of toys but all are put away. 2 slides. The trampoline Park is a big hit for all ages. There's a great soft play too

Positive experience: I visited here on Christmas eve... I used to work here so I'm aware of the potential.. Obviously the staff were very friendly.. I knew this was going to be the case. The downfalls for me was the lack of a class time table when I was in the area (minimal)..The showers at the back of the gym need some tlc..I still love Waterworld and I just want it to be the best it can be... The potential is stratospheric.

Positive experience: Great fun pool for kids, restricted to pre booked sessions to keep numbers at a safe level. Also has a swimmers pool with sessions and a gym lockers take £1 coins which are non returnable.

Fantastic experience: On arrival the establishment was clean. Staff friendly. Lockers to pay for , but happy for us to take bags to poolside. Pool was clean and warm. Slides was great fun for the kids. A good family day out.

Fantastic experience: I took my grandson here for his weekly swimming lesson. What a lovely place. The teachers were really good and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Plenty of parking outside.Well done to all the staff for making it such a lovely environment.

Positive experience: Been going here on and off for over 20 years when down on holiday. Today I used the gym.The machines need a good oil and maintaince doing on them.Also all this loading an app booking a slot and providing your inside leg measurement is annoying.its got nothing to do with covid it's about making more money.and £10 for one hour!#$£€¥":(
