Fantastic experience: Really enjoy the Body-pump classes they are always great, Ash took the class today and this was fantastic as well.

Fantastic experience: Did the 2024 Swimathon. Great facility with very friendly staff. Very clean, bright and well stocked cafe. Swimming times are perfect. Do not change what you guys do! Well done.

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely pool party for my son's 9th birthday the staff was lovely very helpful and friendly and the food from the coffee shop seedy blenders amazing! They all said best party ever! Thank you to all the staff and seedy blenders also!

Positive experience: Nice and clean facilities. Needs new treadmills as they just cut out and then show re-initialising. Not so pleasant when you on a high speed.

Positive experience: It’s okay. A lot of pool sessions are 45 minutes. Means you must be there on time if you want a decent swim. Open until 10pm weekdays although staff have tried to rush me afterwards with multiple tannoy messages warning me that they were closing while I showered after my swim. Not really ok. The classes are mixed. Weekend bodypump with Mel - excellent. There is yoga on Friday evening which I can’t find elsewhere. As another reviewer mentions the routine inexplicably doesn’t change. Bodypump Tuesday or Thursday at 6 is awful. The instructor doesn’t show the moves with the weights. Very hard to follow.

Negative experience: Awful website without a simple swimming timetable to find out if there are any family swim sessions anymore.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic!, Happy and Excellent and Lovely Aqua Aerobics Instructor Sandra. Thanks Sandra for making this session brilliant and fun. This was my first session of Aqua here and it was a great experience!! The environment was safe and clean, and it was lovely to also meet others and have a chat after. There is even a lovely little coffee shop In the gym that people get together for a coffee, and chat afterwards. The ladies were very friendly and even asked me to coffee how lovely! I felt very honoured! I Would fully recommend this class and this gym. Thanks again... need to book ASAP as class gets full. If not just pop yourself on the waiting list and fingers crossed, I'm sure you will get a space. Happy Days looking forward to next week's session.

Positive experience: The staff are really friendly. The gym is well-equipped with machines. Opening times are reasonable, closes at 5PM on the weekends. There is a good variety of classes available including strength, aerobic and stretching. Access to the swimming pool is included with the gym membership. Not used the showers as the water is cold with a low pressure.

Positive experience: The pool is fabulous and has a lovely vibe but the changing rooms are not kept clean and dry, they often smell of pee - especially the closer you get to the showers. The gym is great if you're someone that loves a treadmill and cardio machines. The number of weight machines is very limited and the weight area is tiny. It's a small space considering the size of the building. The focus is the pool and squash etc. Even the aerobics/ spinning room feels bigger. It's also just bit grotty and needs a clean. Overall a basic facility in need of some cleaning

Negative experience: Website for swimming is not updated and they never answer the phone. I now have 2 very Disappointed children who wanted to go swimming.

Positive experience: Great swimming pool but you can add a hot tub

Fantastic experience: A nice, modern leisure centre. The swimming pool is open on a Sunday morning. The gym is spacious with running machines & a stair machine which is handy. You can book the classes on the app. They have ones with instructors but also virtual classes to. You can upgrade your membership so you can enjoy this one and the one in Saffron Walden too.

Positive experience: I’ve been a active member for over 14 years and am now finding it increasingly difficult to complete my session in the time I have available. The gym is busier than previous starts to a year and there has been more equipment out of service than before so a perfect storm! As you keep pushing for more members with your offers & promos, you must ensure all the equipment is working.

Positive experience: I really enjoy using the pool here and everyone I’ve dealt with has been really friendly and helpful. The reason I’ve not given 5 stars is I personally don’t like mixed communal showers. However, that’s the same at Chelmsford and other public pools. My joining experience was seamless, even down to previously being pay as you go - I upgraded online not expecting my membership card to still work but it does.

Only downside is that it seems the yoga teacher does the same routine each Monday with only very slight changes sometimes.i I don't know if this is because she teaches other classes and doesn't have the time to plan it but I would like to be challenged.

Fantastic experience: All amenities, well staffed, gym, pool, fitness classes and I normally book the hall for badminton... All round place to keep yourself healthy and fit after covid.

Positive experience: they hardly ever answer the phone

Negative experience: The web site is useless, doesn't give correct information, not even for the correct centre and you cannot book on line like it says to do. The staff are polite enough when there or calling but the cleanliness of the swimming changing rooms is shocking. With covid-19 issues you'd hope they did more but in the hour we were there no cleaning was done and the floor was dirty with hair, talc and the classic plasters and the baby changing tables, both in the changing rooms and the stand alone one, were filthy!! looked as if they had never been cleaned. The worst thing was all the staff chatting in reception so they could have done the cleaning.

Negative experience: Really, really needs an upgrade. There are no other alternatives in the area, meaning they should invest some time and money into upgrading things like changing rooms, showers, include a sauna/steam room, include a cafe etc. Classes are good, but don't cater to younger members.

Negative experience: My wife and I cancelled our membership due to relocation in July 2020. In October 2020 debit finance were chasing us for money, we had cancelled. We sent off evidence of our relocation, the threatening texts and emails stopped. Now in August 2021 we are getting threatening emails again saying we owe a load of money in missed payments and late fees. Disgusted. Absolute rubbish. Not to be trusted.

Negative experience: I wish they were better and keeping the floor cleani the gymnasium. No good addressing during matches. Shoud be done before. It is one thing to be told it should be done but it is another thing for it to be done. Could do better. There is a lack of responsibility. Should not have to ask.

Fantastic experience: Been to visit the gym a number of times, decent selection of equipment as well as pool. Nice atmosphere and good customer service. Visited the sports injury clinic and was well looked after there and given some great physio advice that has helped my back injury improve in a short space of time. Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: Great facilities, sometimes busy so have to wait. Overall great. Now for the lazy inconsiderate drivers which park along the front next to the zebra crossing, you are blocking the view of exiting vehicles as people leave the gym. All it takes is a small child to run across, and you vehicle which is illegally parked has blocked the view. Also, leaving you cars running on idle as you wait doesn't help. The car park is big enough. Oh if no blue badge then park in the appropriate slots.

Negative experience: Reception staff sometimes helpful but mostly not. Swim changing rooms need a good clean. Fully able bodied visitors without blue badges are using the disabled spaces and no one gives a wotsit. And it’s a massive car park so no excuse.

Negative experience: 75% of the treadmills have been out of action for weeks and they increased the monthly payments, no management around to find out what's happening with repairs.

Positive experience: Does what you need it to do

Negative experience: The problem is it is a local authority gym run by a private company and it doesn't / will never work. Staff, who are mostly young / paid peanuts, are uninterested and do no engage with customers. It is often a mess, a quick tidy up would resolve it. The equipment set up is wrong - small free weight section which is always busy and lots of unused expensive machines. Apparently the council stipulate that they must provide these unwanted machines. If another gyms opens locally everyone would leave. Self employed personal trainers who use the site are good and retain customers for the gym. It's got a pool, which is a positive.

Negative experience: Useless, unhelpful and rude is the best way I can describe my experience with Dunmow Leisure Centre. I called to enquire about Krav Maga classes and no one could tell me the time, cost or if beginners were welcome. Customer service does NOT deserve 1 star

Negative experience: Every time i go i'm constantly harassed by some sixth former who calls himself 'bollard' or something. He tries to show off and falls of the machines. He keeps bragging about his Keegal and keeps offering to show it to me.

Positive experience: 9-5 gym use only for school students it not very good
