We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability.
To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to all people: blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.
This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.
Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML, adapts Its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by the blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.
If you’ve found a malfunction or have ideas for improvement, we’ll be happy to hear from you. You can reach out to the website’s operators by using the following email [email protected]
Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements, alongside console screenshots of code examples:
We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS and NVDA (screen readers).
Despite our very best efforts to allow anybody to adjust the website to their needs. There may still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or are lacking an adequate technological solution to make them accessible. Still, we are continually improving our accessibility, adding, updating and improving its options and features, and developing and adopting new technologies. All this is meant to reach the optimal level of accessibility, following technological advancements. For any assistance, please reach out to [email protected]
Halo Bromyard Centre: Opinions
Fantastic experience: A fairly equipped and very clean gym. Only a punch bag is missing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They're deserve a pay rise!!! The problem is some of the gym users. There are unwritten rules of the gym!!! When you are resting between sets, another person can use the equipment. So two, maximum tree person can use one machine/weight... it's also help with your timing. You don't own the gym nor the stuff. Leave your ego at home. If you want to spend half a day on your mobile phone while you're sitting on a machine..... just stay at home and you can switch on your computer, TV, and phone and enjoy your gadgets as long as you want. Put the weights back to the weight rack and do not leave it all over the place.... mummy and daddy are not going come and clean after you!!! Usually it's a good vibe at the gym except when the kids go mad, high on energy drinks. Don't drink that garbage unless you want to have a heart attack before you rich your 20's!!! (I feel sorry for this new generation) All together is a good place to grind. All my respect to the elders who are visiting the gym regularly instead of the GP practice!!! Bromyard Halo Gym is a great place to go..... better than to get wasted at the pub. Best wishes
Fantastic experience: Good and friendly sports centre
Negative experience: Lovely gym, I usually try visit the gym in the mornings. However, due to work commitments this can’t always happen. It’s a shame every time I visit after work it’s full of teenage boys shouting and messing around on equipments I want to use and awkwardly have to ask them to move on when they’re just playing around and messing with the settings. I counted 9 young boys today during my visit who were shouting and just messing around on the new stair master. I believe staff could at least remind them it’s a public gym and not a playground or somewhere to hang out after school.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, good range of equipment, great classes and spotlessly clean.
Fantastic experience: Clean and quiet
Fantastic experience: Great gym for a small town. Not overly busy, could open more hours on a weekend, only 8-12 :(
Fantastic experience: Well equipt local gym with friendly staff.
Positive experience: Really well orchestrated, organised and staffed, Covid vaccination centre
Negative experience: Hereford County Council have not maintained the building, the roof has for the 2nd time leaked very badly in 12 months. It was open for just one week in July 2021 for the first time since March 2020. Its now closed again with an announcement on the 15th October 2021 as to future plans. HCC need investigating over how they have managed the centre into this fiasco.
Fantastic experience: Good gym that was well used before lockdown! Needs to reopen ASAP!!
Negative experience: Bromyard Halo is closed. Why? I have tried to contact them over a week ago. They still have not responded. Why? It takes one member of staff to run the Bromyard centre. What has change since the lockdown? Have they made staff redundant? The people of Bromyard pay there taxes, the same way Hereford, leominster and Ledbury do. All I need to know is why is Bromyard the poor relation in Herefordshire?
Fantastic experience: Super...
Negative experience: Needs a refit changing rooms awful to showers dirty
Fantastic experience: Enjoy this gym very convenient friendly staff and faces always nice to use.
