Fantastic experience: I have been using this gym for many many years, as far as my personal experience goes, the staff are all awesome because they can still tolerate me after all these years the gym isn't the biggest but it has all the necessary equipment for you to have a good all round work out. I don't really like Cameron and Phoebe because they go on holiday all the time and it makes me feel like shit lol but that's a personal issue I need to get over it has nothing to do with the gym. The pool is a good size the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are not the biggest but it's adequate the only issue here is with common courtesy and it has nothing to do with the gym or staff members. There's a lot of ignorance in people in this day and age if there's a lot of people in the pool it makes sense to wait until there's space to get in but no, the people that attended the health centre are stupid they don't care about anything other than themselves, it's like walking in to the gym and you see someone on an exercise bike but instead of waiting for them to get off you go climb on top of that person and try cycling. There's no problem with the facilities but there are a lot of problems with the people that use the facilities thinking their father has paid for it just for them to use. It's not the health centre staff who should be educating people on how to behave but they take the brunt of it because people can't get along and they think that it's the staffs job to mother them, so if you do use the gym or are thinking of joining a bit of compassion and consideration for other people would be nice, the staff can only help you, they can't fix stupid.
Fantastic experience: Great venue with pleasant staff. Centre is always clean and tidy and best gym I have been to.
Negative experience: AVOID. I was well out of contract when I cancelled, but apparantly even out of contract they will penalise you if you cancel payments. Apparantly they still expect you to put it in writing, and where to might I add??? I received no warning/correspondence there was an issue and they just send a debt collecting agency. Very poorly done You Fit. I certainly won't recommend anyone to your gym again after this experience.
Positive experience: Local gym, best sauna around
Positive experience: I came with a day pass which is a good incentive to introduce new customers. Staff are nice and welcoming. The gym itself is extremely small with not much equipment, although it is all new equipment it’s just uncomfortable working out right next to the front desk and in an enclosed space. The pool area needs a revamp, pool is decent sized and the sauna is nice but the jacuzzi is tiny and your knees are up to your chest. It’s not the place for me especially for the price, it’s very expensive for what it is. I feel the it’s aimed towards the older generation instead of younger people.

Fantastic experience: I have spinal and heart problems, and I go to youfit Leeds because of the facilities, and Cameron and his team are extremely good at motivating me. Plus, they always talk and treat me like a person, not just like a number that goes through the door Keep up the great work

Negative experience: Very unpleasant atmosphere in the health club, I was discriminated by racist club members and racist health staff of the club I was only a member for one week here before being kicked twice water splashed at me and called abusive words while trying to use the swimming pool, I reported it to a member of staff who said they would look into the matter and check the cctv nothing was done on that day. Two days later I returned to the health club to be told I can no longer be a member here and that it was me who had kicked the other member and that I had squared up to the other member. So I asked to see the cctv of this which clearly showed me not kicking this member but clearly shows him splashing water at me then squaring up to me twice and me walking backwards away each time I also reported this matter to James brook the hotel manager but to no avail he swiftly began to back his own members of staff as to why my membership was to be cancelled I would like the area manager Richard Todd to look into this matter as I would not like it for anyone else to have to experience what I have in the short time I was a member here.

Fantastic experience: This review is for an individual. WES is the nicest and hardest working gym staff employee. I have had the pleasure of meeting. If I still ran a gym I would employ him within a heartbeat. Also the only employee (except a young lady with black hair) I ever see clean. Full respect WES. Enjoy life you only get one ...

Positive experience: Staff is very friendly and helpful, pool is fun for the kids, however, it isn't worth what they charge, the gym lacks resistance equipment, it's very small with dated equipment. There is a blob of hair in the dryer and it has been there for over a week now and theres a collection of hair in the steam room and that has been there for a week now. Generally clean however it does require detailed cleaning. Charging alot to members however not reinvesting into the facility will put customers off, I wonder if they are not investing more into the facility due to lack of funds. The Huddersfield stadium complex is slightly cheaper with much more facilities in better conditon, they are clean and modern. Directors need to assess competitors and invest into the facility to modernise and improve further to attract and retain customers. I still love youfit because of the location and the pool facility is working for the kids. It's serving a purpose and thank you for that.
Fantastic experience: a bit too expensive on the membership, but have taster weekends sometimes which are free or Fridays friends night at £10.00 if go with a member! A small pool with jacuzzi, steam and sauna room! changing rooms are a bit exposing as no cubicles! Two showers with soap dispensers, toilets and swimming costume drier!
Negative experience: the rooms here are very comfortable, clean and spacious and i think its worth mentioning that due to how understaffed this place is, the cleaners really do deserve a huge amount of credit and recognition based on how much effort they go to to keep the rooms this way! i wasn't impressed with the night's stay in general however, kids running up and down corridors all night and other customers were swearing at high volume which i realise isn't necessarily the hotel's fault but they could of done more to control this for the sake of everyone else's enjoyment. the drink/food prices are ridiculously steep. unfortunately i wouldn't recommend this hotel to others.
Negative experience: Showered before entering pool. Being 9 in pool had to sit waiting with wet costume. NOT A GOOD ESPECIALLY IN WINTER. Bad.
Negative experience: Beware. Emailing and cancel your membership is not good enough you need to email a different address that I had been made aware off. Not good avoid.
Fantastic experience: I wanted a gym with pool near home. I was really impressed, so much so I joined. It gets busy at tea time. But clean and the staff are great!

Negative experience: I truly wanted to give a better rating as the facilities are great, with a small but we'll equipped gym, pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. Overall the staff are pleasant enough but they don't engage very much with the users. Might be better if rather than sat looking on FB when quiet if they spoke to some of the users to identify how their workouts were going, their aims during exercise etc and offer any advice that would assist or encourage. The changing rooms are clean with lockers all working and hairdryers supplied. It is more the administration processes that let Youfit down. With a bombardment of calls and text messages chasing membership payments that have been paid and requesting you call urgently! You look at your online banking and see the payment has gone out and believe that the error should rectify itself at some point but it seems there is an excuse at every cut and turn for the systems they use and bat the ball back to you for not phoning! I'm of the opinion that my time is valuable and of payments are being made why should I then have to go through the rigmarole of sorting out their clerical errors? In saying that, when the calls and texts didn't stop I had to phone and provide evidence of payment which had been made and no apology given after the fact. In fact the opposite as it appeared diue to a human error (their words, not mine) my telephone number was not taken off their paid list and further text was made threatening me that my arrears would be passed to a collection agency if they were not brought up to date on that day! Again I have had to spend time phoning and emailing the gym to sort out their clerical (human error) however I did receive a verbal apology. My choice to withdraw and cancel my membership as I do not wish to be.a member of a club that continuously harasses members due to such errors was accepted by the manager and (apparently as a goodwill gesture they would release my membership with 30 days notice even though I was still in contract) but obviously my next direct debit payment would still be taken and I could still use the facilities that I had paid for that month! Gee thanks! I'm choosing to leave a gym that sends threatening texts for no reason and I'm to be thankful that they are allowing me to leave outside of my contract?? And an email provided to me with dates they tried to contact me in order for me to contact them with the underlying accusation that I brought all of this about by not responding to something that should not have occurred in the first place. The managers email has the subliminal message that he apologised for the (human error text) and I should accept this graciously! If this is their stance in customer service and Youfit are that desperate for my last £34 direct debit payment then so be it! But I would advise anyone thinking of joining the gym to be aware of their dismissive tactics when it comes to their 'human error' errors! #youfit #holidayinnbrighouse #holidayinn
Fantastic experience: Joined the You Fit Club about six months ago and really love it. Everyone is friendly and the staff are really helpful. The pool is small but the view from the hot tub is fab. It's nice to have a coffee (25% off with membership) and a chill out in the hotel meeting area afterwards. I use the free working spaces in the reception area as I work from home so it's handy for me to spend a day here and use the facilities.

Positive experience: Lovely. I was nervous about out visit due to some bad reviews but we actually had a lovely day. We booked an afternoon tea and spa day with group on. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The spa was nice and clean, a bit small but still nice. It wasn't busy when we went but I imagine it would be a bit crowded on a weekend.

Negative experience: No good to anybody who is serious about their training, as at peak times the complex is far too small and over crowded to work out effectively.

Positive experience: A small gym and health club but not busy and has decent facilities. New changing rooms and a nice pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The machines could do with updating but you can have a good work out. Reasonable membership fees too.

Positive experience: Excellent facilities, friendly staff and great environment to exercise & train. Gym is small but perfectly formed with cardio and strength equipment, lovely pool (just refurbished), sauna and steam room. Not the cheapest gym, but the facilities you receive justify the fee.
