Positive experience: Love this leasure centre. I've made some good friends, and it's keeping me motivated and fit. I'm giving one less star because of the cleanliness and hygiene slightly on the low standards. The showers and toilets upstairs in the gym are not regularly cleaned and kept to standards, and the equipment for ladies' gym needs upgrading. Overall, I enjoy it and the staff is good, especially the lifeguards. I particularly enjoy Zoey and Amber's classes. I would recommend the Aqua Fit classes. They are very popular. Membership prices are good. Look out for some seasonal offers and get joining.

Fantastic experience: It's a lovely multi purpose building with NHS, University of Bolton and Bolton Council leisure facilities. The place is spotless and the toilets are spotless

Fantastic experience: Well ive only been here to use the swimming baths in the past but there's offices and what appears to be a health centre inside also, my girlfriend and I had great pleasure having our appointment with the midwife here today, lovely building and the staff were all wonderful, parking is right outside the building so very convenient ⭐️

Positive experience: Swimming great, gyming not so great, limited equipment e.g. mats, exercise balls, the mats they do have are miniscule.

Fantastic experience: I only went for an x-ray but what an unbelievable experience. Staff were amazing. The centre itself looks ace and it saves you the misery of having to go to Royal Bolton Hospital and having to wait hours and pay a fortune for parking. One tip, park on the retail park, 3 hours free. Only a 5 minute walk to the centre.

Negative experience: The staff at the reception have absolutely no customer service skill, there is a complete lack of care and consideration towards paying customers, very obvious racism and not to mention none of the people working at the swimming people seem to know a thing about policies, it seems as though they are just making these rules up as it suits them. Taking my girls out of the pool to tell me they can’t swim unaccompanied and the women can’t even find me where this policy is written. Ridiculous. Do not allow these people to boss you around and spit rules in your face that don’t exist.

Negative experience: Shocking. Nowhere to perform stretches in the gym! Air-conditioning broken in the cardio area! Very smelly changing areas. The pool is tiny. Nowhere to park. If I was Sir Jason, I'd be embarrassed.

Negative experience: Took my son swimming here and we were given dirty looks by members of staff. When my son took out his phone to check the time one of the life guards shouted at him to put it away or they would throw it to the bottom of the pool. I have to intention of ever going back

Negative experience: Same as every parent on here got told child can’t swim can swim. Teacher just shouts no help not sure what they teach here prices are cheap for a reason . Wouldn’t go back

Negative experience: All I was trying to do is get a seven day trial access. To then be advised by the lady at reception that I couldn’t get it as I was not planning on using it on the same day so I should come back another day when I want to use the gym. So I come back today with my gym clothes on for another lady to advise me it’s a long process and she’s alone at reception so I should come back tomorrow. Are you for real?! I cancelled my plans just so I could get to the centre on time and already dressed to workout to then be told she basically couldn’t be bothered to pass me the free trial. Appalling customer service.

Positive experience: They need to work on their timing closing the gym at 5 in weekend and in regular days at 9 is really not a good idea considering that at 10 PM sun goes down

Fantastic experience: Good overalll gym friendly stafff

Negative experience: They have closed of a section of the pool so they don’t need to employ an additional life guard, meaning all swimmers are crammed into a part of the pool to the point of being unable to swim properly. As the manager had come out to speak to another customer I spoke with him and they said they couldn’t afford to employ another lifeguard and if we didn’t like it we could cancel our membership and they are allowed up to 20 people per lane. The gym is owned by Serco, who saw a profit of £249 million last year. The female gym also have built up filth, pink and black mold everytime visited despite repeatedly mentioning this to the reception team on exit.

Negative experience: No air conditioner it to hot all year round and in the summer people faint, avoid, cheap isn't better

Negative experience: Prices are ridiculous for the size of the gym.. £8 a session the gym is small and outdated. Changing rooms are tiny and it is ridiculous that the sauna closes at 6 when the gym is open until 9. The showers are way too hot and the toilets are filthy.

Fantastic experience: Hi, My two kids age 7 & 2 are undertaking a swimming lessons with Jason Kenny Centre. Very well organised, hygiene and equipped academy. The trainers are well trained and experienced. Within one and half month my elder reached to stage 2. For the very young kids aged between 6 months to 3 years there are adult and child classes are taken place. I am recommending to all the moms to opt for this session. Very helpful for your little ones and you too. You will get a quality time to spend with your little one. The little ones are enjoying the water lessons tremendously. Along with the learning there are small, small activities taken place during the session by the trainer. A special trainer is coming for this session. Thanks, Nadia.

Negative experience: Where should I start? This gym is most unhygienic and underfunded gym that I have ever had the displeasure of going to. The fact that they charge nearly £20 for this sorry excuse of a gym is mind-boggling. The lack of equipment and facilities is just ridiculous. The changing rooms are smaller than an inuits igloo and every urinal was out of order. My every living moment at this 'gym' was agonising. The staff are lovely though ( the ones I interacted with). If you are thinking of joining this gym, PLEASE don't. Do not suffer like me go somewhere else!

Positive experience: This is my review from my experience at Bolton One Swimming Pool Positives: The pool is lovely, clean and fabulous to swim in. Most staff are friendly. I enjoy my swim time here. negatives: The pool is frequently divided for swimming lessons etc. My last visit there were only 3 lanes of the 17 mtr pool for adult swim, the rest of the pool was for swimming lessons. The 3 lanes were centre lanes the first was for lessons, and the 5th and 6th were closed. I was told, quite abruptly to use the steps in the closed lane to enter the pool, so as not to interrupt the kids lessons. After a while more people came to swim, which made the 3 lanes very cramped. Then lanes 5 & 6 where open to more swim lessons, so both entrance / exit steps were closed, therefore the only exit was to climb out onto the tiled edging of the pool. Not good for someone in their 60's. Two more people arrived for their swim looking very puzzled as to where they would find room in the 3 lanes available. However they were allowed to interrupt the kids lessons and use the steps, so i was relieved at that. In summery, If the lessons are priority, then in fairness to paying adults please inform before taking monies that there may be limited space for lane swimming.

Negative experience: I registered two of my children for swimming lessons. A 6-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter. My 6-year-old is Autistic, he can communicate perfectly well, respond and follow instructions. However, he just needs some patience and encouragement to try new things as he gets scared. I told the swimming instructors about all these but they had zero patience and terrible service and my son was left out. They told me that my son could not continue with the swimming lessons cancelled membership and I had no choice but to cancel swimming lessons for my 4-year-old.

Negative experience: Very poor… me and other swimmer were told to not use perfectly good 2 lanes whatever the reason was… so it became overcrowded… got to pay additional for hair fan?! Not coming back.

Fantastic experience: This is best leisure Center for family swimming sessions and there is gym as well.

Negative experience: I was a member here for a long time, machines are constantly out of order for a long period of time, class timetable is limited, no air con so can become stifling. The sauna/steam has been out of order for a year+ but still they put the membership prices up. It is the most convenient location for me but I can’t justify the price for the facilities available so terminated my membership.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous swimming pool with top notch facilities for all.

Negative experience: Attached to the uni but has barely any student discount even for student athletes. The gym is always way too warm especially in the weight room and there are a lot of things out of order for long periods of time (sauna/steam, boditrax, weight machines). Basic equipment, good enough for beginners and people who don't need alot to make the most out a gym but there are better gyms local.

Negative experience: Really disappointed with the gym because the steam and toilet shower nothing works from months no action is being taken I am paying every month but not going to the gym. They don't even refund.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities and well maintained for somewhere that’s open to the public. Good swimming teachers who actually know how to teach which is rare these days.

Negative experience: Some of the staff members here are horrible and very rude, I have autism, along with other issues (mental health) and I use the swimming pool as a form of relaxation and coping mechanism, to help me with my anxiety, but some of staff members make me feel uncomfortable, don't get me wrong, the management team are lovely and helpful, it's just a few of the bog standard staff members, (the short woman with the long bushy mousse brown hair) and the other woman with red hair and thick eyebrows that doesnt know how to crack a smile, and loiter round the pool with intent, clock watching and giving you daggers if you stay in the pool until the end, if you hate your job that much then DON'T WORK THERE!! simples.

Negative experience: Been coming to the swimming baths here for several years and I'm a good customer, I like to use exercise and swimming as a coping mechanism to help with my anxiety as I have autism and other mental health conditions in which exercise helps a great deal, the problem is with the staff there, the management staff are lovely and helpful, but the majority of the regular staff are extremely rude, arrogant and don't make you feel comfortable at all, when I go swimming i will smile and say hello to one of the lifeguards as you do, but then i just get blatantly ignored!!! Then the other day another one one of the lifeguards made a comment to me regarding my suntan, which is real, she asks if its "from the bottle" and said she was concerned about the water changing colour!!! I was mortified!! You just don't talk to customers like that, it literally embarrassed me in front of all the other customers, I reported it too the manager who said she will sort it, so therefore I would have appreciated an apology from her, but I didn't even get one, I just can't believe the rudeness and inconsiderate nature of how they treat paying customers, it's a shame because the actual centre and swimming pool is brilliant..

Negative experience: Women’s only swimming 3 days a week men don’t seem too matter the stem rooms not been on since covid started

Negative experience: My daughter does her swimming lessons here, for the last few week I've been sitting on the balcony and keep seeing people taking pictures of their kids in the pool. I want to be able to bring my child swimming without seeing people taking pictures and risk her being on them. The balcony doesnt get monitored by anyone

Fantastic experience: Hello and a massive thank you to bolton one and the medical nurses on level two Jan who seen me to check my ECG and respiory system out I can not thank enough she went beyond the limits to help and make me feel as comfy as possible thank you .your a god send also couldent belive how friendly and professional the team was normally medics are over rushed over worked and not much emphathy this team have the perfect balance I arrived an hour early and it span past in seconds .every nurse greeting me along with other staff also massive shout out to the cleaner who is there Jill I think first thing in the morning 9 Tuesday mornings you could see your face in ever bit of polished surface in the building and was lovley to natter with whilst waiting .I haven't seen team work like this for a massive amount of years it's wonderful to see well done ..massive respect to you all

Negative experience: Just got asked to leave a certain section of the gym as its "womens only" despite being told by a staff member that women pay the same price to get full access to the gym, while males only get partial access while paying the same price. How is this evening legal in 2022?

Negative experience: I must say it is my worst experience I ever had with a leisure centres. This place is just a total mess! All you realise in this centre is LACK of arrangements and management . I have two kids registered there in the swimming lessons, every single month, they send me a warning email to say that I missed the payment and they could not direct debit my account. Then they ring to ask for immediate payment. After we do the payment of £44 pounds, they take my lids off the course and say “”you have not paid.”” It has been Two months on the row. They person who called me to take the payment over the phone, is one of the worst customer service advisors in the UK. After all, my kids ended up in a different class, different day and different time. Finally, I had to cancel their membership and they are at home now frustrated of such unprofessional management I don’t recommend this centre a lit of hassle with the finance team in particular. AVOID

Positive experience: It's good that that you have to wear a mask in the medical side, but you can take it off when on the pool side. It really provides me with freedom of when to wear a mask, because covid doesn't cross the barrier into the pool side of the building..... Other than that, no issues.

Negative experience: They do family swim for babies and young children but unfortunately they only do this on Tues & Thurs 4-7pm, due to educational classes that they prioritise. This is very limited and very late for young babies, as this would encroach on their bedtime routines. During the day; morning or afternoon would be more appropriate and quieter. Specifically for babies that aren't confident in the water or new to it. Very limited choices across Bolton. Babies don't seem to be catered for, unless you pay for expensive classes.

Negative experience: When signing up for gym membership did not say that the steam room is only for women on an Wednesday and Friday other wise I would have gone somewhere else as I use the steam room to control my fibromyalgia and I'm in constant pain. One lady at the desk is quite rude too... Just wish they stated all the information properly when signing up been paying membership for at least 3 months and still not used the steam room

Fantastic experience: Plenty of disabled parking spaces available, also quick drop off and pickup bay aside the main entrance. Sadly no pay to park spaces if your using the Swimming pool / Health centre, but there is a large multi storey carpark behind the collage, pay on exit.

Negative experience: My experience of this place is that it is dire , always has been. The staff are unfriendly , unreasonable and downright ignorant . Apparently their SYSTEMS don't work (and haven't done since 2015,if I remember rightly). The place is not clean , regularly runs out of things and nobody wants to help. The lessons are a joke and are nothing more than a perfunctory attempt at justifying a wage and an excuse for self-absorbed ,so called teachers to parade around like upstarts and there is no consideration for hidden disabilities at all . A deplorable place .

Positive experience: Clean facility and feels modern. Parking up can be tricky. If you park on the Mecca bingo car park- make sure you have change because the car park is coin only! Alternatively you could park near Costa over the road where it is free- but you have to do a 5 min walk to get to the leisure centre

Negative experience: Nurse taking bloods was lovely and polite. The same cannot be said for the doctor I saw who had me waiting for over an hour for my appointment before seeing me and there wasn't anyone else in before me either. Didn't do the procedure that was booked because and I quote "I don't want to do it"

Negative experience: Absolute poor customer service. Emailed them several times about OAP memberships, have been totally ignored. Just shows how much they value customers. Unhelpful people!

Positive experience: Good student prices though I hear they've gotten more expensive now. Like the fact that the women and men have their own sauna and steam rooms within their own private changing rooms. Free classes and good gym. Don't see staff cleaning equipment much. The weights room is snug but has everything you need and if you're lucky isn't crowded! :) Reception staff isn't all that friendly and they made me pay for several extra months membership I had signed for when I moved away from the area. The only reason I signed initially was because the receptionist who had first signed me up said I'd be able to cancel at anytime, found that a bit evil.
