Negative experience: Very poorly managed pool. Very dirty and expensive. I’ve Have been swimming here since the centre was opened. Unfortunately, despite having full membership, I rarely swim here now. I choose to drive an extra hour round trip to Grantham Meres pool where I also have swim membership at £19.99 a month for a well-managed clean pool.

Negative experience: No gym only membership. Must pay the ridiculous cost of full 'DNA' membership offering fatuous services most dont use, or an equally unreasonable pay as you go fee. Please update your model & stop abusing the fact competition is far and few between in Gedling.

Negative experience: Booked flights to viatnam via DB and KL to da Nang, , wanted to stay in KL for 3 days with wife rather than same day flight, emerites said ok as airline provider, Carlton wanted to charge us £540 to change flights, no aftercare after spending money, out to make as much money possible from its customers

Negative experience: Great pool but sadly my wife cut her fingers on the bottom today! I hope no one else hurts themselves and the staff sort it asap ‍♂️

Negative experience: I went in an hour early for my swimming, they told me that I can't wait in and have to get out, I was out for half an hour then asked if I can wait inside, they said no you will have to go out again, they have seats and a seating area for a reason and don't let us wait there.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE CARLTON FORUM LEISURE CENTRE SECURITY GAURD PICKED OUT MY BROTHER WHO IS OF COLOUR AND LET LOADS OF WHITE PEOPLE PAST AND ONLY ASKED HIM FOR PROOF OF MEMBERSHIP !!

Negative experience: Just wanted to book a fun swimming session with my daughter. Was told I needed to pay £6 to become a member‍♂️ I don’t want to be a member, just wanted to come for a swim with my girl for an hour, why make it so difficult

Fantastic experience: Excellent swimming lesson.

Negative experience: Kind of sucks how there's no gym only membership. I don't care for swimming. I just want to workout.

Positive experience: Great leisure centre, but the changing rooms and was facilties could do with some TLC. They are often dirty, and out of use. Plenty of locker space.

Negative experience: Fix the women's changing room toilets. They have been broken for the second time in under 2 years for well over a month, the first time also for well over a month. Two issues are caused by this: 1. Women who use the health suite have to walk through the public corridor in swimwear to use the disabled toilet, 2. The one downstairs disabled toilet is now occupied substantially more than it would be if the women's toilet wasn't broken... how is this disability-friendly or caring for your female clientele? Of course we're all still being charged the same...

Positive experience: Only used the football pitch. The surface is great, but there are no changing facilities at all for football. The hut did serve a nice bacon roll and coffee.

Negative experience: The actual place is ok, my child does kick-boxing classes every week and that it’s self is brilliant and I would recommend but the parking is disgusting people park in the disabled parking without blue badges and walk off, they park on the corner on double yellow lines aswell and I’m actually disabled and can’t park anywhere near the actual the entrance, This is very upsetting, disgusting and distressing for me especially when people who aren’t disabled think it’s okay to use those spaces!. The disabled parking needs to be more monitored on a daily basis due to people miss using the disabled parking spaces that are the for DISABLED PEOPLE!.. there is a free car park available for people to use but they think it’s okay to use the disabled parking. people please do better and think about people like me that can’t use normal parking spaces due to my disability, that’s why we have DISABLED PARKING for That Reason! I’m hoping this is taken seriously I have rang the centre but apparently they can’t do anything about this but they will speak to a manager and pass my contact details on, months later and still haven’t heard anything from them! I’ve also contacted the council and they have sent more wardens to the site to try and help the situation.

Negative experience: Trying to book a family swim online is the most ridiculous thing ever, who made your website? You cannot book 2 adults and 2 children you have to to do them one by one. Decided to call and no one answers the phones.. when they did it was again almost impossible I was met with “the computer says no” type of person who blames systems and baskets for something as simple as getting in a swimming pool. Please understand I don’t care for your poor systems or how you’ve changed and lost all your members numbers from a year ago I simply want to take my family swimming and it should not be this hard. 48 mins later I finally got booked. I booked a vacation, baggage and excursions for 4 people faster than it takes to book a swim here…

Negative experience: They never answer the phone and when they do your spoken to very rudely sometimes. I needed help with something only to be told to ring back tomorrow as she was “going home soon” so she couldn’t be bothered to help me. The swimming pools needs some serious work done the steps in the deep end in the big pool have been ripped off the wall and placed on the side of the pool. The floors, tiles and toilets are even cracked broken coming off the walls. Only half the showers work properly the other half you press them and they turn off instantly so everyone fights for the only 5 that are half decent. Only good thing is the prices I pay just under £25 for my daughters swimming lessons and she has progressed really well and I am very proud of her. She gets free sessions in the pool for if I want to take her swimming my self. Overall this place really needs sorting out it was never like this when I was a little girl or even a few years ago.

Positive experience: I only give four stars because the changing rooms.Cleaner should sanitize the place every day.I visited the swimming pool today and a changing room was very dirty and smelly.There is no place to hang the towels.Staff kind and always friendly.

Fantastic experience: Big leisure center with lots to do and lots of facilities and vending machines for drinks and snacks with a good selection of items. Clean and tidy place and the staff are wonderful

Negative experience: As a family of 4 with two young children we would like to be able to go swimming with ease and less fuss. The booking website is ridiculous, cannot book as a family, numerous log ins even for the baby. Why let an adult book a small pool swim session and not have a way to book on the children too? Tried phoning all day with no answer so we don't even know if we can book over the phone. Very complicated when it never used to be like this. It should be simpler for families to swim.

Negative experience: Very unclear website, way too much messing around to find simple things like times some people just do not want to login!!!!

Positive experience: Has all the facilities you need. I play squash here regularly and have no complaints. Used to use the gym and pool also. All good

Negative experience: I joined on a dna membership to use swimming pool ,gym and health suite , I wanted to start going swimming as I had spinal surgery last year and need further surgery later this year ,I am trying to build my strength to try not to have more surgery so me and my partner go to the relaxation swim , I am only allowed to swim in my back as all other strokes put to much pressure on my spine , well I have never felt so uncomfortable with snide remarks and huffing and puffing from the older other swimmers saying I shouldn’t be swimming on my back , we even heard that we was to young to go lol I’m actually 41 but I’ll take it as a compliment , swimming on my back is still a swim stroke I expect to be able to do it without feeling so uncomfortable,I’m thinking of cancelling my subscription because of this as it’s very upsetting .

Fantastic experience: Had sauna on a 3 day free pass. It was so good I went for the 3 days. The sauna and steam room were well maintained and clean. I will be using it regularly. The reception staff were very helpful.

Negative experience: People without swimming cap, 10 adults sharing the same lane, no possibility to dry hair.

Positive experience: Swimming lessons for my son. Options to have 1:1 sessions or group ones. Some Swimming teachers are quite friendly

Negative experience: I rang to inquire about my daughter going for a swim only to be spoken to by a little dum girl on the phone who was very rude and not helpful. If you don't want people to come don't open.

Fantastic experience: It's great, not the newest pool in the world but everyone is lovely. The swimming club cfsc.co.uk is particularly splendid!

Fantastic experience: Come here every week for swimming lessons with the kids, always clean, friendly staff, plenty of classes on offer, great choice of equipment in the gym and always extra children's activities during the holidays.

Negative experience: Impossible to book classes as their always full, the swimming pool sessions are always full. Waste of time being a member at the moment!

Positive experience: No good for long swim sessions - you’ll book an “hour” for swimming but you don’t actually get an hour to swim. The lifeguards are pacing around and ushering you out 15 mins before your slot finishes or earlier if you are the only person left. Badminton facilities are good, reception staff are friendly and welcoming. Upper car park could do with drainage works putting in as large puddles and pools of water are prevalent when it rains.

Negative experience: Toilets near grass playing fields had no running water. Unable to flush or wash hands. Definitely not covid safe. Update: returned to the venue today 19/03/2022 and nothing had changed toilets full of paper and human waste with no water turned on to flush. Disgusting.

Positive experience: It was so good to be back after lock down. Everything that we needed was available and I was comfortable there. I attend a class twice a week normally but for the time being there is only the one.

Fantastic experience: I predominantly use the swimming pool for kids lessons and to do a few lengths myself, but know people who have used other facilities such as spinning class, badminton and squash. All at reasonable prices.

Positive experience: I pay for the gym and health suite for the health swim and toilet and showers to be out of use all the time!

Positive experience: From the outside it looks pretty rubbish, the staff was very rude and because I had never been to the gym before I had to register which is fair enough and then to be told I need an fast track induction which again is fair enough I have never been to that gym before. Whilst I make my way to the gym for my induction the gym instructor asks me what is my favourite piece of gym equiment and I tell him the cross trainer as that’s about the only thing I knew how to use and felt comfortable with and then he says I will take you and show you how to use one and bang that’s all my induction was he never helped me one bit and never told me how to use any of the other equiment so just becareful if you go their and have a fast track induction and pay them £10.00 me in my eyes it was not worth it for something I already knew and for a 2 min conversation.
