Fantastic experience: Great clean gym, decent lounge area. Good size locker rooms, shower has decent pressure , pool temp is good! All kit is top of the line and amazing gym for whole family be active together especially with their flexible memberships. Its important to get young adults/kids active and working out young and what a great space for it!! Russ makes good scrambled egg on toast which my son raves about!!

Positive experience: I love everything about it! Except for the changing rooms, it is very outdated and not very private in my opinion..

Fantastic experience: We were asked to provide casino tables for a Xmas party upstairs. Great space , helpful and friendly bar staff. Would definitely recommend for a private event.

Positive experience: The gym is fine, however it's difficult to cancel your membership. I sent messages online, by email, and on Facebook. After three days of waiting, I returned to reception and was told that they were busy and that I could anticipate a response within a week and return if not. I then sent a message as a "fake" new customer to see how "busy" they were. I got a call within 1 1/2 hours. Then another one hour later. I finally received cancellation confirmation seven days later.

Positive experience: Equipment and facilities are good, men's locker room could be cleaned more often, I've been here for a year now (4-5 times a week) and have only seen it being cleaned twice ever (once by a member because it was so bad). Cleaning once or twice a day isn't enough

Fantastic experience: Love this club,so many improvements since it was DLs,plus free parking now as well. Gym and bar been upgraded all looking good and more to come. Staff friendly and helpful,aways welcoming,great club

Fantastic experience: Very clean, beautiful and lovely pool & gym. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Most customers that use this gym are really nice too. I highly recommend. I am not sure what the negative comments are about but I hope whoever reads my comment can appreciate that people always have something to complain about. As far as a gym goes, cleansiness+ good equipment/facilities +acceptable price for your budget= thats good enough

Negative experience: Nice enough gym, but the changing rooms are dilapidated. The swimming pool, sauna, and steam room are dated. I did a 7-day free trial and only went once. I was given another 7-day trial but didn't return.

Positive experience: I love the gym , im there most days A few pointers 1) A bit disappointed with the cafe Very limited choice , I feel that you are a nuisance if you ask for a drink 2) The womens changing rooms smell when you walk in and the toilets aren’t clean . There is always paper on the floor and again very smelly 3) There should be a window when walking into the changing room as i have been bashed a few times Sorry about the negativity as the gym itself is lovely but I wouldnt really want to shower there

Fantastic experience: The gym has just had a huge makeover, brand new equipment it's stunning. This is the place to be, amazing staff all really lovely and helpful and such a good vibe. You pay more than a chain gym but you get more. More space, more time on the equipment, it's not like a cattle market like the busy chain gyms. I completely recommend Lock meadow it's the best gym in Maidstone.

Negative experience: Decent gym stream room is nice. The staff are nice. Problem with the suana smells really odd and not a nice odd and the mens shower area needs cleaning more often hair all in the sink from someone shaving, (obviously) floor looks dirty, looks like sock fluff in the shower room by the sinks, and soap they have doesnt agree with my skin what so ever doesn't seem like any staff are interested in cleaning it for the money it cost a month im sure it wont hurt hiring and few extra cleaners to keep up with the hygiene.

Fantastic experience: Staff are so lovely and welcoming couldn't do enough for you. Always so helpful and understanding and willing to help with any issue or question. Lovely equipment and big pool.

Positive experience: Decent sized pool and well kitted out gym - the decor and changing rooms are a bit dated but the things that really matter (gym, pool, coffee) are all decent! They also have a crèche which is a game changer for mums of little ones.

Fantastic experience: Warm welcome from the staff. Great selection of classes. Clean and large changing rooms and overall well equipped gym. Fantastic price and definitely value for money.

Fantastic experience: Lay, the waitress is very friendly in the lockmeadow. She's helpful, friendly approachable always say hello to her customers, always happy to answer queries goes to the extra mile.. I think it's time lockmeadow should train their receptionist as she never smiles or say hello or goodbye to members or even a thank you. Customers service play a very important role in this job. I hope my reviews will be heard. The five star goes to Lay.

Fantastic experience: The best I’ve been to

Negative experience: I wish it was still David Lyolds. One can't order snack 45mins before 4pm as the coffee shop closes at 4pm. They change the time for family swimmimg reception say one time, the lifeguard one time and in the end a lady made her decision of changing the time for later on. The welcoming from the reception is not like the warm welcome of David Lyolds. There's no time for family swimmimg on the website either. The soap dispenser most of the time is empty and low quality soap. I was shocked one day I saw one lifeguard cleaning the side of the pool with soap and broom and later the dirty water was pushed in the swimming pool...the jacuzzi as well sometimes doesn't work. I go there as its few minutes walk to my house. Only one good thing is the coffee is cheaper than David Lyolds.

Fantastic experience: A great improvement since taking over from David Lloyd. The club is now actually looked after. The staff are friendly and club is kept clean. Would be nice to see the changing rooms be given some TLC but it's still early days. Highly recommend

Negative experience: Very bad customer service, was agreed to do 1 day free trail and on the day I was supposed to try the duty manager didn't allow me unless I take the membership.

Positive experience: The gym has a decent range of equipment, good sized pool and has been spruced up since being taken over from David Lloyd. The staff and members are friendly. So far I have always had a positive experience when going there. It's still quite expensive at £54 per month, tied in for a year but you get access to a lot for the price. The Jacuzzi is often out of order, but every gym I've been a member of has these same issues with that it seems. Overall, I have and would recommend to a friend. 3 Hours free parking validated at reception.

Negative experience: Staff are lovely. It's serco that's the issue, don't try and cancel membership contract early if ill or financial circumstances change as is a legal right to request as you get nothing short of harassed by more membership who keep advising on different amounts due. Dis raceful gbehaviour

Fantastic experience: I'm a member of this club. It's always clean & staff are pleasant & helpful. They have all sorts of classes from Yoga to keep fit.

Fantastic experience: A lot of fake 1* reviews from haters, I suppose, everything it's working fine, cleaning its fine, sometimes some problems with the spa but I suppose for bad users fault, so, if you want a nice and clean gym you just have to try and take the tour, it's free of charge

Fantastic experience: Really happy with my experience here so far. Friendly staff, lovely pool, great classes. Crèche facility is such a bonus too, my daughter loves it. Can't comment on the gym as I haven't used it but it looks good.

Fantastic experience: I was surprised after negative reviews joined last week staff really friendly the gym and pool area was spotless yes it’s not new equipment previous used in David lloyd but all works well much better than most gyms around the same price free parking and Wi-Fi is coming very happy I chose to join.

Negative experience: If I could give it a 0 star, then thats what it would get, where to start... constantly calling for 2 weeks trying to join nobody bothered to call back, after making a massive mistake and joining online the problems persist. £54 per month, apparently a premium gym, what a joke that is the receptionist is so rude. If any problems arise, you will be passed from pillar to post. Nothing in this gym works, not even soap in the soap dispensers, do yourself a favour, and go to a £10 a month gym where everything works, and you can at least have a shower. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, dont waste your time or money.

Negative experience: It was getting bad towards the end of the David Lloyd era and now it's worse! Small print on their website was that there was going to be no new investment in the facilities but we didn't realise that would mean the pool would be constantly closed, it would be dirty and poorly maintained while they boost about painting a wall on social media Massively disappointing
