Fantastic experience: Perfect little gem for the gym and swim sessions

Fantastic experience: Hartsdown Pool... a pleasant environment , ample free parking , fair membership prices , useful timing-slots and friendly personnel.

Negative experience: Poor app…plus can never get through to anyone over the phone.

Negative experience: Staff were friendly on arrival and helped me to try the pool out for the first time. I liked the music and had a pleasant swim. I got out when session ended but felt very rushed when getting changed as I wasn't told beforehand that the school groups coming in meant everyone had to be out first. I was the only woman out of the pool at the end of the session and as far as I heard or saw the only person in the changing room before the schools was a female member of staff and one male member of staff who I didn't see because I was showering when he announced his entry. My goggles went missing which I'd left hanging near my locker in the back open changing space. Nothing in lost property. I have left feeling more stressed than when I went in and thoroughly disappointed as clearly a member of staff must have taken them. The pool did say they'd have another look after the school group had left and would replace mine with some from lost property (of a lesser quality). Even so, I feel like I went in there to relieve some bad mental health stuff i was going through and left feeling frustrated and angry. not really the point of visiting a leisure centre and doesn't make me want to go back.

Positive experience: Buzzing with kids having swimming lessons. Tiered seating makes space for proud grandparents to watch.

Negative experience: I Used to come swimming here all the time, and me and my friend decided to take up swimming again just for general fitness. We came Tuesday morning, all was good and we enjoyed our swim. However, as we were using the facilities, that we paid for, getting washed and changed, when a member of staff rudley intrupted us and said we were taking too long and needed to hurry up and get out for the school kids to come in. Now my friend actually has a brain disorder and is usually quite slower than the average person when doing day-to-day tasks, and she felt quite embarrassed and rushed after this happened. The staff also stood and watched us walk out of the building as though we were being escorted by police or somthing. It felt embarrassing. I understand if there is a school coming in, but i dont see the problem as it is a public changing room! The school should pay for private if they dont want any of the public in there. I wasnt aware that there is a time limit for showering and changing in the changing rooms and if there is, then this should be made aware of when arriving. Or at least the staff should tell you politely. It has put me and my friend off from coming back again, as we dont want to have to rush everytime we come out of the swimming pool or be spoken to in such a rude manner.

Positive experience: Sports Hall is satisfactory and swimming pool now up and running. However the new cafe counter in the foyer does not have a healthy snack, fruit or sandwich in sight, stinks of frying and is packed full of sugary items. Not pleasant to sit nearby.

Fantastic experience: Perfect 9am Friday morning for our twin girls. Warm clean pool... Very few others in there so they could paddle and splash away to their hearts content.

Fantastic experience: Really impressed with staff whilst grandsons using Wet & Wild session. Observed supervisors being so good and patient with young people without didn’t have very good coordination and balance skills.

Positive experience: It is such a shame that after all the time the pool has been shut they haven't taken this time to improve the changing areas, they are grubby and poorly maintained. The changing cubicle are still closed by flimsy curtains and ill placed hooks mean you have little room to put bags to keep dry.

Positive experience: Nice big space and friendly staff. The big court room though its really really cold. Also inconvenient that at the café you can't pay with cash. I take my clients there they have disabilities and only have cash... sad they can't get a tea there

Negative experience: 9 pound for a day pass yeah not coming here again

Positive experience: This rather drab looking place is making a comeback! Swimming pool back open, gym well equipped with technogym gear but still has issues - TV's sometimes faulty and even when working no text available - young unaccompanied teenagers can be loud and a nuisance at times! Some staff work well and take an interest in their jobs whilst others are bone idol and don't! Management need a more proactive approach! Richard Wood.

Negative experience: This company is a joke, has one phone number which is from Deaf association and to which nobody answers... What is even worse is that this company has the monopoly over this region delivering mediocral services thru east Kent...

Fantastic experience: Took grandchildren to swimming pool this half term and it was most enjoyable. You can sit and watch from the gallery and still communicate with them (unlike Ramsgate pool!) The atmosphere is enhanced by a good selection of music being played. Found it particularly nice to watch the poolside staff who seemed genuinely happy in their job, and who were interacting with the young swimmers in an attentive and fun manner! Well done all staff at Margate pool - doing a great job!

Positive experience: Parking is always very busy however it is as you'd expect from a leisure center. Friendly enough people and we've never had an issue with rude staff or anything, always seem friendly

Negative experience: Disappointing nothing for people of over 70 unless you are computer friendly and water too cold to do water exercise

Positive experience: Friendly and helpful staff. Essential swim for my health, pool clean centre well run. Disabled changing rooms could do with a spruce up, thus the dropped star.

Positive experience: The same as Ramsgate our kids use the Reconnect membership virtually everyday, sometimes twice a day. We would love to join as a family but not having this option means we cannot afford to as there are no family memberships. Therefore we are not able to get proper exercise and Your Leisure are losing out because they have no couple or family membership options. WHAT A SHAME!

Positive experience: They need to put the lanes back for the general swim! Other than that it's all good..

Positive experience: Decent gym, but the mix of machines and freeweights is, in my opinion, a little imbalanced. Just one free standing olympic bar for benchpress and a second fixed machine. Plenty of bikes and treadmills and lots of specialist machines to isolate muscle groups but would have benefitted from having two freestanding Olympic benches. Good gym though send just £9 pay ad you go for a 90 min slot

Fantastic experience: At such difficult times, they are still able to offer a selection of exercise activities. Reducing numbers in group situations and the procedures in place makes you feel confident to get back to doing what you did prior to lovkdown.

Negative experience: We went to Ollie's world with our 17 months old daughter - first ones in the play area and it was still dirty from what I assume was a birthday party from the weekend , deflated balloons popped balloons toilet tissues all over the toilet floor . Other than the dirty understaffed area (no one to man the cafe bit) the reception staff where very polite and informative.

Positive experience: The gym is good, has everything you need, changing room is fine too, but the swimming pool changing room is disgusting, its been the same even since I can remember, really needs ripping out and starting again.

Negative experience: The leisure center itself is fine, but the reception staff are a joke. We have sent all our children there for swimming lessons over the last 15 years, and they have consistently screwed things up. They have told us our kids were booked in for lessons, but we turned up only to find they were not on the system. They have cancelled bookings/lessons without telling telling us. They have failed to take payments or taken payments and not recorded it so told us we have not paid and cancelled our kids lessons. They have removed us from waiting lists for no reason and with no explanation (or never put us on in the first place, despite telling us they had). We have waited over 1 year for a place, only to find we were not even on the list anymore. I don;t think the word incompetent really does this justice.

Negative experience: Chaotic & understaffed. Horrendous parking, rude clientele. Needs investment.

Positive experience: Clean and well equipped gym. Personal trainer simon works you hard but it's all for your own good and tailored to your needs. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff. Wheelchair access to the pool side where I can transfer to a hoist and a hoist so the staff can lower me down into the pool. Leaving the pool is simply the same in reverse 5☆☆☆☆☆
