Negative experience: English is not my first language but I do understand what 'ADULTS ONLY' means on changing room doors. Unfortunately some parents think it's ok to make shortcuts through adult changing rooms and showers with their kids. I find it at least uncomfortable. There is a separate Family changing room, you can access it through the swimming pool. Have some common sense.

Fantastic experience: I rejoined after the refurbishment and have been really impressed with the new layout and equipment. The staff are great too.

Positive experience: Gym would be great if there was any action against not re racking weights.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for two years. Very friendly staff, rarely too busy, and a good range of gym equipment. Coupled with the affordable price, I can't recommend this gym enough.

Negative experience: Decent changing room but the sauna and steam room is so small and not clean. The jacuzzi is also working but it was not cleaned properly. Personally the Y spa facilities are far better inside the waterfront hotel but definitely not something to promote to hotel guests!

Negative experience: Awkward location. Too expensive & they trick you with the monthly membership. They will keep charging you unless you opt to cancel it immediately. Read the small print.

Fantastic experience: The gym facilities are great, with plenty of running, bikes, rowers and cross trainers for cardio plus weights, machines and Rig for strength work. Punch bag, mats and mirrors for sport specific work. Water dispenser, good changing rooms and showers for personal care. There were cleaning products and tissues for keeping equipment clean and motivational signs to encourage this without getting too official. Good studio for classes and swimming and spa although I didn't try these as only in for a single visit.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been using the gym for about 8 years. Cracking gym great facilities. Only downside is that the jacuzzi is often out of order and it needs to stay open later! Great staff. Helpful and very friendly. A great environment to train in.

Fantastic experience: Dropped into the gym last week and had a great tour round from Jess. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. From the moment I walked in I felt welcome. Jess is knowledgeable and totally credible. I left feeling inspired - just signed up and can't wait to get using the facilities. Looking forward to feeling fitter and stronger!

Positive experience: Been a member for six weeks now find the staff friendly and helpful. The facilities and swimming all seems to be quite clean and the opening hours are quite good One thing which would be good is to have a swimming costume spinner...

Negative experience: Joined the gym and got a discount rate of £28. First visit realised the pool is really small. Staff don’t like smiling. Weights machines rusty from top to bottom showing that staff never clean them, with the stickers showing the weight peeled off. Debris on the floor. First locker was full of old crisp packets. Couldn’t wait to leave and cancel.

Fantastic experience: Quite honestly, one of the best stocked gyms I've ever been to

Negative experience: The gym itself is fine, but the staff turn off the TVs 25 mins before closing (yes, even while a World Cup game is on with 85 mins played), presumably so people will just want to leave and then they get to go home early...? They also cashed up 30 mins before closing so I couldn't even buy a drink from the fridge. Unreal. Again, I can only assume they closed everything down early so they could go home asap. I'm glad I'm just visiting and don't have a membership because that would do my head in. It seems people are just ok with everything being mediocre after the pandemic. Anyway, I would of course not recommend this gym.

There is a wide range of equipment so wether you prefer cardio or weights you won’t be disappointed. I look forward coming to this gym so am glad I found out about it and joined up.

Negative experience: I signed up for a six month offer and paid in advance for a portion of the first month and the second, I thought it was a fixed price for the whole six months as no one disabused me. But I have just had a email from ILife informing the price is going to be increased. So after one and a half months of membership, they are going to charge me more. I don’t think much of that. I joined the Wyboston Lakes Leisure club so that I could swim and take the Aqua Aerobics class. I couldn’t get into the Aqua Aerobics class as it was full. People in the Friday class book weeks in advance. So that was disappointing. The whole place needs refurbishing.

Positive experience: Very nice staff and easy-going. Virtuel and real live classes depending of the hour you come. Unfortunately in my hours around 5 mostly virtual classes.

Fantastic experience: Lovely friendly gym and facilities are really good. Kept nice and clean and staff are always happy to help and approachable.

Positive experience: The membership is good value but there have been a few issues. My gym programme was produced but than lost. Also had some issues booking the class I wanted but thankfully this has improved of late. Finally relieved that the faulty sauna is finally being fixed. Overall though a nice little gym and pool.

Negative experience: Signed up before lockdown in November, we got locked down 2 days later, they took £70 from my account in January, even though the gym wasn't open. And I've heard nothing form them, even after numerous emails. I have used this gym for at least 15 years, never going back. Also there is always something broken, sometimes for weeks. The staff have no idea about customer service or even smiling.

Positive experience: Lovely little gym in the area. Has most things you need. What you see is what you get. Biggest issue is the classes, they fill up extremely quickly and the pool is a little small

Negative experience: Gym equipment same old stuff, no smith machine and others needs updating also struggling with getting to go for a swim sauna steam even though I’m paying 38£ a month, staff NEVER cover up there shoes when walking in the pool area.

Negative experience: I am employed as a Community Carer I care for a vulnerable person. I rang the Wyboston Centre to cancel my membership in the Summer explaining that I didn’t want to renew my membership when it expires. I was told they would put my account on hold. They have continued to take D/Debit payments from my account. I have not renewed my membership . They are still taking monthly direct debit payments from my bank account. Despite them being closed due to the recent lockdown restrictions Disgusted is an understatement. Very bad communication skills amongst the staff employees at this centre!!!

Negative experience: Fraudsters!!!After the covod19 lockdown they started chasing me with the debt collectors for a contract that I never signed(signed for 3 months which I have paid but they accused me that I have signed for 12months).When you explain which manager dealt with that they say:"oh she's not working here anymore." The gym is small anyway and always crowded ,the jacuzzi and sauna is always closed for repairs....the membership quite expensive. XENOPHOBIC AND RASCIST CHAVS ARE HERE! ONE OF THE MEMBERS INSULTED ME AND MY COUNTRY BUT IA THE EUROPEANS KEEPING THIS COUNTRY ALIVE!!!I HAVE MORE QUALIFICATIONS THAN MY MANAGERS.WHEN REPORTED TO THE MANAGEMENT THEY HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT!

Negative experience: Unable to fulfil 1:1 swimming lessons for my son. Took an extra months worth of money when apparently all payments were suspended during lockdown (!). Now holding on to 6 week's worth of payment for a service they will not transfer to my youngest child or accommodate an alternative slot so my son could continue his lessons, that he loved doing. Really disappointed.

Negative experience: They are not furloughing staff but are still taking £5 a month admin fee's out of all customers accounts. Terrible!

Negative experience: Online system and sales staff, Chloe in particular very unhelpful and rude. Mother doesn’t use internet and yet she can’t cancel membership any other way but online. Really disrespectful and the sales staff are the reason I have left. Gym itself is dated and old. Pool is always dirty, scum on the sides and the changing rooms falling apart. No money is ever spent on whats constantly increasing gym fees. New paint job but no equipment has been changed. Wouldn’t recommend as you’ll receive a rude and poor service. Pool is closed far to often along with the sauna and jacuzzi. Won’t be recommending, nor renewing membership. Entire family (monther, father, partner, brother & sister) have now left because of this reason.

Negative experience: Filthy this evening. Not for the first time. Spa and Steam Room broken and needs a proper clean. Will be cancelling membership.

Negative experience: I have been a member at this leisure club for many years. Presently I would highly recommend that if you are looking to take out a membership that you look at other leisure facilities before you sign up. I used to enjoy using the pool, sauna and steam areas but recently these areas are constantly dirty or out of order. I have visited this evening and enough is enough. I found that the whirl pool and steam room are both out of order: The main showers are also closed. Many accassions recently I have noticed that areas are left dirty and there is scum over some areas of the floor. The membership keeps increasing regularly but in my opinion the standards are dropping even quicker. My wife and I have decided not to renew our membership unless we see a big improvement. I have spoken to the staff about the standards dropping but they say that it is out of their control to rectify these concerns. A very unhappy ex member to be!

Negative experience: Signed Up with them because they were a Elite Club, also the membership fee of course. Over the last few month the Floors are dirty and equipment is not being updated or taken care off. The best Customer must be the swim school. Pool area always busy with Kids, Kids all over the changing Room, so sauna and jacuzzi is not there for relaxation. You now even have to bring your own lock... towels included in membership get smaller. I am taking my Business to another gym

Fantastic experience: Great to bring children on weekends.

Negative experience: Its a shame its become run down, dirty, poor and often has broken equipment in the gym. Staff are very friendly! Gym is in need of a complete refurb, including new equipment, the local authority gym nearby is far better! The restaurant and Yspa are very nice, this is just based on the fitness area.

Positive experience: I take my daughter to her swimming lessons here. Staff are attentive and friendly. The gym equipment, floor and changing rooms are always clean. The only gripe I have, and hence the 3 stars, is the way you'd have to access the family changing room, which is either through the men's or women's changing rooms. Which kind of defeats the purpose of having a separate family changing room.

Negative experience: My bit of advice to anyone using this gym is on the possibility there is a chance of you not being able to use this gym due to illness or even work or family commitments/crisis in the coming weeks/months is to end your membership even if there is only a slight chance of you not being able to use this gym in the future, you can always reinstate membership later. I have had a number of issues with this gym anyway, but just put up with various poor services. But when I had a serious spinal injury flare up again I decided not to end my membership instantly to avoid hassle. When a few months had passed and I knew it was going to be a while before getting back to any kind of gym work I cancelled for the time being so not to waste any more money. I had only just paid my monthly membership a few days earlier and then was asked to pay another, another 2 months for nothing they got out of me. Have being using gyms for decades, Sam Jones, Fitness first, John Lloyd and many others, Wyboston being by far the worse.
