Fantastic experience: Legit always fine for a public pool. Membership is nothing to swim and use the sauna. I swim every morning. Only issue is there's no private showering. Mixed changing room with lockable booths and padlock accessible lockers, otherwise paying 20p. Been going for years.

Negative experience: The level of cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. If you have kids, avoid going into any of the swim lane sessions over the weekend. There are a group of older people who think they own the pool and kick anyone, even kids under the water and management does not care at all after more than just us complained about the bullying behaviour. Avoid at all costs, not worth the price to be kicked in the face. Duty managers saying they can’t see anything on CCTV and don’t bother to confront and have a word with these bullies. There are better options in Norwich for pools.

Negative experience: Not very clean, life guards a bunch of job worth kids with 0 people skills

Fantastic experience: My daughter does the Big Sister project here which is brilliant. The girls love it, the facilities are great and the staff are so good at encouraging them all whether on reception or taking the class. Really helpful and proactive over the phone too, Sam in particular. A big thank you to the team at Riverside.

Fantastic experience: Boasts a controversial swooped roof

Negative experience: Their phone line only ever says 'line busy'. Been trying for the past few days now. They've clearly either turned their phone off or their number is out of date. Appalling.

Fantastic experience: Was just in the teaching pool today with my granddaughter but was surprised by how warm it was. Lovely, like a hot bath literally.

Negative experience: Tried to take the kids for a swim. Seems simple enough. Apparently you can’t do that. One pool was closed for some kind of class. The other pool was just closed (no reason given, 9:30 on a weekday, happens to be the hottest day of the year) yet there were 3 members of staff on reception doing nothing. It was weird. You’re a swimming pool. Just be a swimming pool. Stop mucking around.

Positive experience: Can’t enjoy much time in the pool with the membership due to constant swimming lessons, the steam room isn’t even steamy, I should not be able to see the person on the other side of the steam room but I can!! Jukuzi is small The leisure centre closes way to early on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays and can’t make it due to work which really annoys me!! The Gym is good Depending on staff you get some nice ones but also some miserable ones

Negative experience: This is the 5th week that my son has not had his normal swimming instructor. The stand instructors don't seem to read the notes and teach the same thing every week. This is making my son upset because his score is not moving in fact it's gone down.

Positive experience: Its a nice pool there is two sections to it a shallow pool and a deeper pool, I enjoy going there with my children on the weekend it is cheap especially if you are a member of the gym just above it that has recently had a update with new equipment, it's a nice place over all but is a bit busy.

Negative experience: I wanted to sign me and my family up. Website is useless to find out prices about memberships. I tried calling the leisure center and ended up in an endless call management loop without speaking to anyone. Not a reassuring sign for the rest of the centre facilities. I think I will sign up somewhere else instead

Positive experience: Was really pleasantly surprised by this leisure centre! Pros: - Pool temperature is great - Sauna, steam room and jacuzzi all included in the swim price - Have found it clean when I've gone (pre-work) - Both 20p lockers and ones you can bring your own lock for - Decent, free hair dryers! - Friendly staff - Easy booking system The only downside/reason not to give 5 star is the showers - there's only 2 (not-really-)private showers, which are behind plastic curtains in the middle of the mixed gender changing area. So you'll be showering in swimwear and smelling of chlorine for the rest of the day. If that could be improved it would be perfect!

Negative experience: Dirty smelly nappies in changing rooms. Dirty. Staff useless Poorly run. Don't know their own booking systems. Disappointed No slide no fun. Cold in all pools. Tiny sauna and jacuzzi. Really poor. Ipswich, Bury, Yarmouth, Sheringham, and Thetford pools are so much better. Shame on Norfolk Council's of whom are skint because they too don't know how economics.

Positive experience: Cleanish facilities but always so busy. 72 people are able to book lane swimming with minimal lanes. Lanes aren't spaced out well so splashing from other lanes happens constantly.

Positive experience: Great place to get fit and to meet new friends and socialise. The staff do a tremendous job keeping the place clean ready for all those idiots who can't read all the signs telling them "please remove shoes BEFORE entering" especially when entering the changing rooms/pool area,, sometimes it's minging with mud and filth, I'm sure these people don't walk into thier own shoes house with crud on Thier shoes do they?

Negative experience: Have no issues with gym or pool or the staff the only thing can’t stand is the regular swimmers that use jacuzzi steam room, sauna always moaning equipment breaks down it happens puts me off from entering them . Good team there from what I have noticed I wish I never wrote this review I did the above To try and fit in I left due persistence insults from staff on front desk and I found out the gym where allowing people to come in and intimidate me also had one staff member using intimidation tactics from the carpark leading to the steps I tried to keep my head down the abuse became to much so I left I also found the place to be unclean blood on lockers I also had two staff members shout abuse out side my house

Positive experience: Want to take my son swimming at 430pm on the website it said 88 tickets available for the time we had chosen, decided not to book in advance, when we arrived was told the pool was shutting in 10 minutes due to a private hire and that we could return at 8pm. We were very disappointed as 8pm is far too late, and we had driven over 30 minutes to get there, no indication on website to say pool was closing.. poor communication.

Negative experience: Christmas / new years opening times have been an absolute shambles for people like myself who want to keep pushing their routines. Closed Christmas/new years eve, closed new years day.. and office hours during every other date up to the 2nd Jan. What on earth is that all about? Couldnt even be bothered to display this properly on the website which could have easily lead to members turning up at 6.30am to be turn away. The one time I could get in nearly all of the rowing machines had been removed and with the swimming pool facilities constantly taking their turn in breaking down this place really has become the laughing stock at times.

Fantastic experience: A month ago or so I attended a ladies session on a Friday, at the reception I mentioned to the lovely young lady at the reception that I had not been swimming since before the Pandemic and that I also had some health issues and felt a bit nervous. She couldn’t be more lovely , kind , encouraging but best of all she made me feel really welcome and dignified. The young lady wore a beautiful head scarf . Thank you I did really enjoy the swim . Positive experience: Clean but needs updating. Check out time tables as not many time slots for casual swimming. Hard working cheerful staff, probably with very little pay.

Positive experience: (UPDATED) We booked a family swim session including a 3 year old in the family pool. They had accidentally booked it into the main pool. We had fun but the two youngest were shivering throughout. By way of update, they contacted me back with a free replacement session in the small pool, which was significantly more enjoyable, hence I have added a star to my initial review.

Negative experience: Nice pool for little todd swimming lessons but I won’t recommend. Not clean facilities customers service very low. We were there today 28 august 23 for swimming lesson at 4 pm. The changing areas covered up with poolit absolutely big messed disgusting not sure what going on but we won’t be back. We have swim lesson at 4 pm we arrived 3.40 we been told swim lessons is ledaying for an hour so we waited. 5 pm I went to asked the swim teacher they said no class today! I was chocking as there’s many staffs but not one tell me it no class for today! Wasted my time there from 3.40 to 5 pm untill I found out by myself. I then went to reception been told we cancelled today lesson we tried to call everyone and will refund. No body call me! Or tell us while we were there. Very poor service from staffs as alway. £34 monthly membership for 30 minutes swim lesson once a week and the package including free session out of the lesson. We can never book the swimming pool to be use out of session. especially this 6 weeks school holiday we can’t book a day to use the pool. I been to reception twice for booking they don’t help. They kept said book online on your account and when I book it never available! So we leaving after 3 month joining. It the most terrible club and useless staffs I have ever been experience with.

Negative experience: Didn't really like how the hygen was and how you had to share a changing room with men, woman and children I feel they should have a women and a men's changing I also didn't like how children were allowed in the bigger pool I feel they should go into the little pool because adults got splashed and annoyed and children when they were in the bigger pool....

Negative experience: Please clean you air conditioner or get some clean air in the gym I always leave and have a sore throat/cough the next day and it coincides with cardio gym days.

Negative experience: Gym closes at 4pm on a Saturday and 6pm on a Sunday.. staff always stare at me when I’m using the gym and it makes me uncomfortable! If I ever go to the gym about 9pm during the week (they close at 10pm) staff always say, ‘you know we close at 10pm, right?!’ Like I don’t already know that.. it’s an hour away? Pool is SO cold I stopped using it last year after I got a terrible cold. Going to leave and get a membership somewhere else.

Negative experience: Lanes were really busy. Loads of hair balls floating around. Hot tub occupied by a group of gross pervy blokes for more than 30 minutes meaning no-one else could get in.

Fantastic experience: Perfect place for children's swimming

Fantastic experience: Very affordable sport center. Nice and clean pool and jacuzzi. Also 2 sauna rooms: wet and dry hot air. Aquafit and aqua Zumba are really nice. Liked very much the classes here: body balance, body pump, body attack, yoga, cycle classes etc. Nice and helpful staff. Oh, and they also have swimming classes for children and of course a gym.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place it has many facilities for your health,wellbeing and fitness. It has GYM,Swimming pool,sauna ,steam bath ,yoga classes ,group cycling ,combat ,spa,kids Gym ,teaching pool or kids pool. They also offer swimming lessons by expert trainers . They also help in buying swimming accessories like swim googles ,swimsuits ,swim shorts ,float swim noodles,and float pads . Nice leisure center logo cups ,security locks etc..Well.maintained bath area post and pre swimming along with dressing rooms ,toilets ,drinking water facility ,waiting room/hall or area ,lovely reception staff to guide . Also a lot of guards monitoring the pools continuously . They help in using the pool with safety and guides the kids to not run on the wet floors and other safety instructions .Excellent and polite staff . Nice place for lifestyle ,fitness ,fun and many more . They offer Flexi annual membership ,Annual membership , on demand use of the pool and other facilities in the center. The great thing is they offer corporate discounts ,each premium membership can add up to 3 children with a minimum fee for the different ages 1£ to 3£ per month for unlimited pool usage . Having membership really helps you to keep you fit and healthy . I strongly recommend this to try . Fantastic experience: Well-attended facility, certainly the pool. Book a one-hour slot for lane swimming - see the website. Change room is a co-ed “village.” Lockers cost 20p. Free hair dryers. Snacks and beverages in vending machines. Lounge chairs and tables. Pleasant staff.

Fantastic experience: Have been a member of the Riverside Leisure centre for quite sometime now and think i may have left a review before. I have swim only membership which generally suits my needs. On the whole i enjoy the centre and the service I receive. My only criticism is that i sometimes wish the current Saturday timetable was a little more flexible for Lane swimming/general swimming. The one hour session between 11.15 and 12.15 can be rather busy some weeks!

Negative experience: As an under 16, you pay £18.99 a month for a membership that can’t even guarantee you access to the gym in your allotted ONE A DAY, ONE HOUR SLOT!! Instead, you have to book a week in advance. They allow adults to be in the gym while the under 16s are, which means there are times when the gym is too full for under 16s to be in. We can’t come back another time, we have one hour a day. ALSO I got VERRUCAS by standing barefoot in the changing rooms ONCE! Overall, not awful if you are an adult wearing shoes. Gym kit is sub par but it works.

Positive experience: Riverside Leisure Centre is located in City Centre, close to local supermarkets like B&M, Morrisons, Nike Retails, Boots, etc. The centre offers membership for gym and swimming for all ages. You may choose to join Swimming only on monthly basis (£28/mth) without contract, or by yearly contract (£26/mth). Swimming plus gym on monthly basis (£36/mth) without contract, or by yearly contract (£34/mth). All days open. Be good health, do more exercises.

Fantastic experience: Easy to find on Google so 5stars. Kings Lynn pool,20p lockers you don't get it back. Carpark, 2hrs, £3.00 and the swim price is £5.50. this makes it an expensive pastime. Although there you get 12.15-19.00 swim weekdays.... At the New pool in great Yarmouth, you don't pay on the public carpark right next to it,you have to tell reception your registration though. If you have trouble with the locker,lovely, helpful and polite staff come straight away to see what your partner did wrong with his 20p... I'm not a strong swimmer so only went as far as cordoned area,depth 1.2m . I will go to great Yarmouth again when I'm there, maybe to kings Lynn if I have to go there for anything else but not just for a swim. ... Dereham is about the best for £1 you get back, carpark on site and everywhere is clean, attended by brilliant , lovely staff, but again you only get an hour. Why can't these places learn from each other.anhour in the the Had a really lovely time . Rinse showers were cold, cubicle wash showers were perfect

Negative experience: Sad that one of the legacies of covid seems to be time-limited (very expensive) swimming. Gone are the days of paying a reasonable price for swimming and getting as long as you want (or at least more than an hour!). £20+ for a family to swim for just an hour! Website is also barely functional. Try to book and it will take the money from the card and instantly refund you with a failed booking notice.

Positive experience: It was a good experience, personally enjoyed the steam room and the pool. Nice for indoor exercise activities.

Fantastic experience: Popped in to see what the Riverside had to offer. Very helpful staff gave me an impromptu show around. A good positive 1st impression of what looks like a popular and well equipped Gym and pool.

Fantastic experience: Very close to the river side Morrisons. It has a swimming pool, gym, yoga and Zumba classes. It has convenient parking next to it. It also has a Coffee vending machine with a free table viewing swimming pool and guest restrooms.

Fantastic experience: Son goes swimming lessons and he really enjoys it, its something he struggles with but his teachers always pushing him forward. Fantastic atmosphere for young swimmers

Negative experience: Visited the leisure yesterday, had an unpleasant experience with 3 ladies at the reception who advised if my sister can't swim they will ask us out of the pool (after assuring she can swim which we felt like they were implying that we were lying) - We understand it was lane swim only as it was after 7pm , however they did not make us feel good from the get go. The changing room area smells of pee and it was not very clean. The 2 lockers we tried were broken which we was told to try another one by a staff member (every time locker was opened it cost us 20p) The lifeguards were friendly, constantly overlooking the pool and at least they looked like they knew their job. Leisure played music which was lovely, Had fun regardless hence 2 stars- not sure if we would go back there though.

Fantastic experience: Great! They have 2 swimming pools vending machines and their facilities are always clean staff are very helpful and there is a big variety of gym equipment and exercises led by members of staff like yoga, Pilates, and more there is also a junior gym for children of 11 years old!

Positive experience: Just used the pool for a bit of fun with the kids. Good value for money although it is a pretty basic pool if you're just looking for somewhere to mess about with the kids - no slides etc. Plenty of balls knocking about for a game of piggy in the middle though ;-) My only gripe is about the lockers - the only place on earth that requires 20p's for lockers (which I found out AFTER getting changed and trying to insert the £1 coin that I took pride in remembering to bring with me because that is standard in most other places). And to make it worse, the lockers keep your money when you're finished.

Positive experience: Nice to attend ladies hour for swimming and steam room facilities, staff kindly allowed parking my escooter in buggy bay area! Friendly staff at reception too, thank you!

Positive experience: Great clean good facilities lovely staff enjoyed it very much and going back regularly my only concern is the hand rail getting out and in pool needs some sort of grip as when your hands are wet it is slippery and you can lose your grip

Negative experience: The staff are absolutely lovely, however, the subscriptions are absolutely awful, it’s too expensive for what it’s worth and there are fees at the beginning as well as hidden ones. If a payment bounces for no reason, an immediate £20 charge is added without any notice for the payment. There are hidden fees and charges which is scummy for a service like this. They gave me an email basically saying: “the payment was returned to you and we won’t give you any time to repay the direct debit before billing you, instead we are just going to immediately charge you for it even though it’s not your fault, and you’re just going to have to deal with it” instead of giving people time to repay before a fee is added. Also a lot of the times I find that some cubicles may have been missed from cleaning because they are absolutely filthy.

Positive experience: Loved seeing my little one having fun in the pool however it is freezing and should be warmer. The changing rooms were dirty and smelt like wee.

Positive experience: They don't give proper time to kids during swiming lessons believe to make money, a very few swiming teacher are nice who actually pay attention rest all just time pass making money, at least swiming classes are not worth to learn 25 minutes with 6-8 kids are not sufficient, taking just advantage of parents emotions and money.

Fantastic experience: Smallest had first lesson today with no prior swims and eldest returning after years not going at Riverside. Must say the changing rooms are smelling a lot nicer this time round. Both girls had a great lesson.

Negative experience: Site tells you to call to book, but they never answer the phone. 2 events on for children in half term?? Supposed to be a council run pool for the community, no demonstration of that. Always disappointed when we attempt to come here.

Fantastic experience: I have only used the swimming pool here but it is brilliant with a separate small pool for young children. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Booking a session is really easy and very reasonable too. I would definitely recommend using this pool. I cant comment on gym as I haven't used it.

Negative experience: Booked online, Could only book a family of four ticket for nearly £16. As it was only me and a child I asked at the desk on arrival if I could change it and was told that that was the only option they have available - totally ridiculous. Our session started at 3.30 - takes about 10 minutes to change with a kid so we got in the pool around 3.40 and then we were all kicked out at 4.15. I understand that Covid has caused disruptions but it's a real shame that places like this are using it as an excuse to rip off customers. We were regular users before Covid and this was our first time back so really disappointing.

Negative experience: Only 1 hr family swim per day in the school holidays. Good one!

Fantastic experience: Really good place for swimming but the gym is very close knit and clicky. I felt like I was on a date training out, didn't mind though as the worker was decent.
