Fantastic experience: Great customer service. The reception staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. The classes are excellent with great teachers. My wife and I love it and go at least 3 times every week. All the regulars I know all appreciate how lucky we are to have such a facility.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Very bad, zero customer service. AI automated system that do not troubleshoot rather handing prompts that lead to no solution. It appears as a management choice to reduce HR for the benefit of “charitable social”monetary income. I wouldn’t recommend to any person who is interested in developing their physic or to vulnerable people (LD, seniors etc).

Fantastic experience: I went today to the swiming pool and I absolutely loved,not crowded, very clean, staff were very helpuf,kind and wonderful. VERY GOOD

Positive experience: Needs a deep clean around the gym area. The water refill area is all dirty and mouldy. Weird closing times on the weekend? 4pm? For the gym in the town with 15,000 + residents is crazy. Needs looking at.

Negative experience: Poor SEN swim lessons with constant cancellations. Refuse to give money back. Poor service

Negative experience: The instructors are so lovely, and that's probably why booking classes is harder than getting tickets to Glastonbury festival. If you haven't booked by 10:03pm, after they open their booking system at 10pm. Don't bother! In short it's a small oversubscribed gym.

Positive experience: A much better in this small town than it's sister location in Bath! Have started taking my son weekly to play squash - the courts being in better condition than the Bath ones prior to their removal to accommodate bowling. The pool looks fantastic. Plenty of parking (some free) nearby.

Positive experience: I use the pool, sauna & gym at Keynsham & Bath LCs on a fairly regular basis. I cycle to both. Bath has an undercover decent cycle parking at the front entrance in a highly visible place. This needs to be replicated at Keynsham, as there is no such cycle parking provided. If you have a half decent bike you want to feel it is secure. Cycling is a healthy and green form of transport and should be encouraged as much as possible, especially to a main community hub such as the LC. I don't know if this would be the council or Better who would need to fund this, but it seems like an easy improvement to make. Thankfully I was allowed to lock my bike indoors at the buggy park, and others do this also. Hopefully this is a temporary measure.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time at the soft play with my son.

Positive experience: Always friendly staff. They've replaced the simple receptionist booking system that has worked for decades with a computer system which is badly designed enough that most people still queue up for the receptionist to enter their details into it. I suppose at least it provides the receptionists with job security!

Fantastic experience: A massive shout out to the wonderful team at Keynsham Leisure Centre for hosting a fantastic inflatable pool party for my little one. He and his friends had a wonderful time! Thank you to Nicola and her team for excellent service from start to finish. I would highly recommend this party - so much fun!

Negative experience: TLDR: Over-priced, soulless, no free lockers or free parking, forced data collection, brown stains on the pool. Go somewhere else. Wasnt able to swim here without giving my name, DOB, and making an account with them. I was told this is because in case I want to book a children's session, even though I was alone and had asked to go for an adult swim. You have to pay for lockers even though the pram parking has the traditional pound coin return locker on them. This is just greed on what is already an expensive swim. You would think with the forced data collection, charge for lockers, over-average prices, advertising in the complex e.g. diving stands, that they could afford to fix the brown stains from the pool walls and floors and fix the paint chips from the pool ends. It surprised me to learn that despite taking their customers for a ride their "Better" brand is a registered charity! Certainly not the spirit in which they operate.

Negative experience: Very put of using the gym because the staff sit in this little room on their phones and just stare at you. Or sit in their gossiping. Makes you feel uncomfortable. The lady with tattoos just walks up and down and then goes on the machines for about ten minutes and just looks fuming. Just a really unfriendly and judgy environment

Negative experience: Ridiculously difficult to find the entrance from the car park as there are no signs or directions. No pedestrian walkway either so not safe to access with children. Staff were disinterested in serving. Coffee from the café was too hot, the beans were scalded. The building itself is really nice and the pools are clean however they are freezing cold. My 2 year old was shivering within minutes of being in the small pool and lips were blue after 15 so we had to leave after paying £7 per adult. I've never been in such a cold pool indoors, especially a baby pool.

Negative experience: Disinterested staff. Classes are few and far between very popular aqua fit on a Monday morning. Cafe least said about this the better. Sorry upgrade has failed will. Be going to longwell Green

Negative experience: to expensive at 30 per month plus 5 for each kids swim as they don't offer kids membership & 10 joining fee. pool space was just 2 lanes to play so over crowded too. hairdryers were free tho and the lockers have a tap- pay card option to buy 30p tokens which was handy, put ofcourse not as good as free ones that only need a £1 coin that they return. I didn't try other facilities such as the soft play space. they have plenty of snack vending machines. you have to book short slots so your time flies by pretty fast. the website offers discounts that then aren't offered for benefits. staff are friendly enough

Positive experience: Havan't Visited Keynsham Leisure Centre For A While.

Negative experience: Squash courts have had a well overdue 'refurb' however they are more dangerous now than before. The floors have been sanded but left extremely dusty and no coating has been put down. This has made the floor extremely slippery and unsafe to play squash. The changing rooms and toilet facilities are great but until the floor is finished it is unsafe to play squash.

Fantastic experience: Good equipment, well maintained, clean surroundings, pleasant staff, reasonably priced

Negative experience: This looks how you'd think a pool in Chernobyl would have looked around 1987. Rusty, poorly laid out, totally unusable family changing rooms, but most of all - freezing cold water in the big and small pools. Every kid in the small pool including my own was blue after around 20 minutes swimming. We know the price of energy has gone up, but please use some of our taxes to apply that energy to the water in the pool.

Negative experience: Don’t bother with kids swimming lessons. Too many children in the class. The instructors don’t teach the kids anything. They are supposed to update the online portal to show how your kids progressing. I haven’t had an update for 4 months. Even after talking to the staff about these problems, nothing has been resolved. I am now in the process of cancelling the lessons.

Positive experience: Great soft play for little ones and a cafe for the all essential cup of tea

Negative experience: I feels like they are running this place into the ground. Dirty, cold and starting to fall apart. The pool is freezing. My kids are pretty resilient but it is so cold that my 3 year old, very confident swimmer who used to love a dip, now refuses to put her ears in the water and has been put off swimming at all. I saw many kids get in then get out (likely never to return). Even adults were squealing after getting in. Unless you are there first thing, the changing rooms are revolting. They seem to have stopped cleaning the softplay and our family ended up getting conjunctivitis after not listening to our better judgement and going in. The cafe only serves instant coffee and the odd muffin... if you can even find someone to serve you. Even the lifts are shut off to save money. They will switch them on for people who are visibly disabled but many disabilities are invisible. Feels like they are so focused on saving every penny they are pushing people away. We've started travelling a bit further to use a different pool. Such a pity after so much was spent on the place, but I don't see much of a future under this management. Don't even get me started on the 'Better' app. Almost impossible to book anything even if you wanted to!

Negative experience: Been using the gym for a year and it just gets worse!, Now they have turned off the air to save energy and the gym is full of school kids who turn up in groups so they are using all the machines between 3-6pm it's a small gym which has now got smaller!!.

Positive experience: Everytime we go we kid ourselves that the kids pool will be warmer. Then 30 minutes or so we have to get out because the kids have blue lips. The pool itself is nice clean and large but it's just too cold. Back to Bath I guess

Negative experience: Awful for families. Lifts don't work and the pool is down multiple flights of stairs. Not enough family changing, nowhere to put down a baby. Cubicles have unnecessary bars over the top so I can't even fit in them. The pool was too cold so all the kids were shivering. Bizarre locker system where you have to do contactless payment of 30p to get a token", but then if you want get into the locker after you've locked it, you lose the "token" - just make them free! Over priced for 50 minutes. Can't believe it's just been redone, it's so poorly thought out and designed.

Negative experience: I took my grandchildren to the inflatable fun activity today. Very disappointed. It basically consisted of one giant slide with obstacles within a bouncy castle. The cost was £5 for 55mins. My grandsons got bored after 20mins as they had to wait so long to get through the obstacles and then slide down. Bring back the water version please.

Fantastic experience: Really impressive leisure centre. Easy to book, loads of classes and activities, with massive carpark right next door. Pool is spotless and modern, with a main and a small pool.

Positive experience: Popped in today to have a look at the gym. The lady was very nice and let me through to have a look. It looked fantastic, but I was put off by a couple of things. The heat in there was very humid, the door in that area was open, which could allow anyone to just walk in, but for a new build, you'd think they would have air con in there. The other thing, I didn't realise this was shared with children in the gym section. I think this is great for children, but my concern was, if it was busy, would there be a lot of children running around. These two things did put me off from joining.

Positive experience: Took my grandson for lesson I am slightly disabled but no signs for lift and floor in changing room very wet and slippy ,even after refit it look tied and untidy the viewing area is poor and rail have yellow foam on . Felt very unfriendly

Positive experience: Both swimming pools are great, booking on was easy, however I found checking in wasn't easy, you have to wait for a member of staff to check you in and they always seem to be preoccupied. The changing rooms aren't that baby friendly (could only find 2 baby changing units) with no where to put the baby whilst getting changed. The token machine for the lockers wasn't working properly causing delay. There's a trolley park for prams down in the changing rooms. The lift down was great but there could be more signs to the pool

Positive experience: Can't make a good post about Keynsham Leisure Centre. Railings in the public areas are rusty and you touch them at your peril. Also cannot understand why visitors are allowed pool side wearing ordinary shoes.

Negative experience: Comparatively over priced with extra costs for parking and lockers the small swimming pool was rather disappointing. With only 5 private changing stalls in the ladies we were glad it wasn't busy. We were grateful that the lady could let us in after Better had booked us into the wrong pool after a rather protracted booking process that took at least 10 attempts at the phone call to get through to someone. The system probably works well for locals but for those of us holidaying in the area, just wanting a swim, we feel very grateful for our own leisure centre in the Moorlands that really does seem to have its act together. The pool attendant adding chemicals, for a good half hour, as we swam around was rather disconcerting. No sure it was worth the mither really.

Fantastic experience: I've not been here for years and the place has been transformed. The app booking is decent although my membership card on the app doesn't show. But the facilities are far beyond what I remember, the staff were polite and helpful. It's not my local gym but for me it's worth the trip

Positive experience: Excellent leisure centre. The refurbishment has been done to a high standard. Soft play and swimming pool are great. All bookings online had been tricky. Not being able to speak to someone on the telephone needs a rethink in my view. September 21 update - app to book swimming broke and only way to talk to someone was to drive down to the leisure centre. The Bettter helpline just goes to a message that they're busy. Better could do with improvement.

Positive experience: Good value for money although it's impossible to speak to anyone on the phone which is very frustrating. I didnt see the gym and pool before the refurb. So have nothing to compare it to but the pool to me doesnt look that new- when you go under water its yellow in places and just doesnt look like it's just been built.

Fantastic experience: Much, much lighter and airier since the refurbishment. I have only tried out the pool and softplay. Softplay is OK, it isn't large but great for parents with smaller children for keeping an eye on them. If you go here for a family swim it is in the learner section of the pool which is an OK size looking out on to the park which is beautiful. Good changing room and shower facilities.

Negative experience: Certain older women never smiles and is most unhelpful, very rude needs some customer service training!! No problem with the other staff. The pool can be very cold at times.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are excellent, was my first time using this gym and they couldn't have been more helpful, it can be abit scarey the first time using a new gym and pool but the lady who was working went above and beyond to help me and really made me feel welcome, even gave me advice on parking. Gym and pool are abit smaller than the other better site I usually go to but I'll definitely be returning here on a regular basis. Thank you better keynsham staff! 5*+++
