Our comment from FitFit UK about Flip out somerset:

Flip Out Somerset, located in Wellington, United Kingdom, is a vibrant and exciting indoor sports center that offers a range of activities suitable for children and families of all ages. The venue features ample space and various areas designed for fun, including trampolines, laser tag, and a café with a diverse menu of snacks and drinks. Many users highlight the following aspects of Flip Out Somerset:

  • Family-Friendly Environment: The facility caters to a wide age range, making it perfect for family outings with children as young as two years old up to adults.
  • Engaging Activities: Users enjoy the range of activities available, particularly the laser tag and trampolines. Kids have a blast jumping around, keeping them entertained for hours.
  • Friendly Staff: Most visitors appreciate the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, especially during birthday parties and special events.
  • Affordable Entry for Spectators: Parents can enjoy the experience at a low cost as spectators while their children play.

However, there are some areas for improvement that have been noted by users:

  • Staff Behavior: A few reviews mention instances of unprofessional behavior from staff, including rudeness and lack of supervision in certain areas, which has led to concerns about safety.
  • Overcrowding: Visitors have expressed frustration about the overcrowded environment, especially during busy times which can detract from the overall experience.
  • Changes to Facilities: Some users noted a shift in focus towards younger children, with the removal of former areas that catered to older kids and adults, diminishing options for taller participants.
  • Hygiene Concerns: A number of reviews raised issues regarding cleanliness throughout the venue, including food areas and restrooms.

Despite these concerns, Flip Out Somerset continues to be a popular choice for families seeking fun and excitement in a safe environment. With its array of activities and friendly atmosphere, many families leave with smiles and satisfied kids ready for their next visit.

Fantastic experience: Great fun for all our family from 2yrs old to 40. Loads of space and different areas. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: We visited for a 10th birthday party. Really friendly and helpful staff. The kids had the best time. We booked a two hour slot, and the kids didn't stop, so much to do that they didn't get bored.

Fantastic experience: Been here multiple times. The laser tag game was very fun, trampolines were bouncy and they give you free slushies.

Negative experience: One member of staff had a disgusting attitude and used fowl language at me while i was with my daughter, all over a mistaken wristband, this staff member would not apologies for his behavior. Rather unfortunate cause despite other issues regarding hygiene of the place and clear overbooking of the establishment my daughter did enjoy her time there.

Jake Phillips 11 months ago

Negative experience: Not the best trampo they have made the best ones hight restricted so not much fun for the taller ones

Jon W 11 months ago

Positive experience: Enjoyable enough still, but no longer any good for me and my 13 and 11yo children as they've removed the section designed for older children/adults. On that basis we won't return. Still good fun for those with younger children though,

Negative experience: no where near as fun as it was when it first opened. The receptionist staff were lovely but the staff on the actual park were miserable. It used to be an “all age friendly” trampoline park but the large trampolines for the older/taller people are no longer there. it was way to overpact and is far too child oriented. I went with 4 friends, when we first arrived in the park the workers were double bouncing each othet on the trampolines which in the saftey video we were made to watch, isnt allowed. The prices were insane and i just wouldnt recommend this place anymore, a couple years ago, maybe but now, its rubbish

Fantastic experience: My children really enjoy going here to blow off steam and have fun. Great that I only have to pay a small fee as a spectator too. My children also love the option of playing Laser Quest within the centre.

Negative experience: Seems like they dont accomodate learning dissability & autistic clients as the staff there was either unproffessional or lacks training and rude towards our client last visit

Test Pilot 1 year ago

Negative experience: Not a nice place at all. As you can see they do not reply to any reviews. The main problem is the staff they are very young. Customer service from the desk right through to the venue is poor. The reason there is no AC is so they can sell you cold drinks.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time. The size of this location is quite impressive, providing ample opportunities for entertainment.

Positive experience: This place is a lot of fun for all ages from walking upwards. It has a good selection of snacks and drinks and sessions like 'toddler time' are reasonable value for money! The down side is there are sooo many rules for safety e.g if you are there 1:1 with a toddler, you can't gently bounce them on a trampoline as 2 people aren't allowed on at the same time. I understand if, for example, 2 school aged children are catapulting each other up in the air etc, but a parent/carer or child playing gently seems a bit excessive. Otherwise very enjoyable. Thanks!

Negative experience: I'm sorry to leave a bad feedback, but it is not possible not to return my money but receive a voucher of over £100 . I told them I will not come back, we have book by mistake for 9 people and we have been just 3 I don't want Voucer, I will not coming back and I didn't cancel nothing. Just we have paid more.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fabulous for the children at my grandsons birthday party they all had a whale of a time.

Samantha Cornwell 1 year ago

Negative experience: Kids seem to love it but not so good for adults. There’s no air conditioning so kids are sweating buckets from jumping and running around, even the adults were sweating just from sitting there. Also you would think it’s the perfect time to catch up on work or a tv series via a laptop or mobile phone as the kids are off entertaining themselves, but no, there is no WiFi and 4G is minimal, so adults just have to sit and stare at a wall for 1-2 hours. I thought I would go and watch my kids jumping as there was nothing else for me to do, but I got told off for not wearing the special socks, even tho I wasn’t going on any of the equipment, just standing still and watching. Any excuse to make money, I will not be returning

Fantastic experience: Great for a birthday treat, which is what we did for my 6 year old and 11 year old. We stayed for 2 hours, and they didn't stop bouncing for the whole time there. They have a cafe that does hot and cold drinks and a selection of toasties, baguettes, pizzas, and sweet foods. It's definitely worth the money. I just wish we had one closer.

Negative experience: Very disappointed as was unable to use much of the park. More information is needed online before booking to make it clear. Staff not very friendly or helpful. Sadly will not be returning ot recommending to friends

Positive experience: Over priced. Loads of extra costs for ridiculous small like things.

Negative experience: My two boys enjoyed it mostly, however I felt I was conned into buying adults tickets also when I couldn't bounce with my children and there was only trampolines and a small obstacle course I could go on and everything else was for young children, as the basketball net was endlessly in use, i paid around £50 more than needed as I could of just sat down in the cafe with the small amount of stuff we could do or just walked around with my boys to watch them, it was very overpriced for what it is, my advice is to just watch the kids if you are on a budget because it's really not worth it, also it was really busy so we was waiting for many things. Many people kept taking my table in a space of two hours which isn't ideal having strangers sat next to my drinks, overall overcrowded and overpriced.

Negative experience: The most blatantly racist and appalling service in Somerset award goes to Flip Out Somerset! My daughter's birthday party which is a fortunate event, had started out well but was unfortunately ruined by the blatantly racist and undermining actions and inactions of the blonde-ginger-kohl-lined-eyes female staff at the food section at Flipout in Wellington Somerset today, 29/6/2024 between 2-3:20pm. The day started so well at 12 noon that my son was already asking within an hour if he could celebrate his next birthday at Flipout as well, but this would definitely never happen in any Flipout establishment ever again! My daughter went to refill the squash jug and she was made to wait until all other customers who came after her had been attended to, even though she was second in line at a particular service point and the person ahead of her had been served, the staff member left the point to serve new customers that had just walked up to another point and proceeded to serve them all before returning to refill my daughter's jug. We ordered pizzas, was told would be ready after 20 minutes, went back after 25 minutes, told would be another 15 minutes. Took this in our stride and waited. Added an extra 5 minutes to the time and went to the till to pick up our order, only to be told it was not even being prepared yet! So, we had made an order and paid, but 50 minutes later was still not even being prepared yet despite being told would only be 20 minutes the first time, and now being made to go back and wait another 15 minutes. It was very obvious we were being treated poorly and with disdain due to our race, as other customers who are "white" that made orders after us all received their meals, a few even finished eating and left whilst we were still waiting for ours. The obvious reason for this can only be that we are "black" and not "white" like the other customers who were repeatedly prioritized over us despite us making orders or arriving at the till before them. This was our experience with a blonde-ginger-kohl-lined-eyed-female-staff at the till, who eventually had to call a supervisor. The supervisor surprisingly struggled to comprehend what the problem was as well and unable to help, but no apologies offered for the obvious apparent intentional delays. The manager was called, he did confirm our orders were received over 50 minutes ago, never got processed, but he would have to confirm if it was being made now. The order then took another 10 minutes to be ready, which was a surprising turnaround time as this made it very clear that our order could have been made ready sooner. My daughter and son were crying as they could see the encounter from the dining area above the till area, whilst their friends watched helplessly as they all couldn't understand why we were being treated differently. This obviously put a dent on the fun the group were having, which the remaining guests made a brave effort to make better by cheering when the pizza finally arrived, bless their pure hearts. The manager made a refund for the cost of the pizza. He also offered complementary ice cream for all which we declined as what we would have really liked was to leave the pizzas made untouched and get out of what had become a hostile environment immediately but reconsidered the fact that we had a good number of famished young guests in our care and whose parents would have expected they would not be picked up unfed with the smallest of food at the very least. If it were just our family in the outing, we would have walked out never to have anything to do with such a place in the future! Our family has never been treated so differently and unfairly, disrespected, and involving our children, without any other obvious reason but being of a "black" heritage. It was the most unpleasant experience in our few years of living in Somerset so far.

Positive experience: Kids love it so much and great fun for grown ups too!! Not a criticism more of an observation (and not really sure how it could be changed to be honest). We took Granny along to watch and was hard for her to see what kids were up to as the level change from the lower level to the bouncing area is quite a lot and there are so few tables up the top where you can actually see from. Still a great day out for whole family however amd staff attentive and friendly

Fantastic experience: Amazing place! It’s a little pricey for food & drink but my stepdaughter and my niece love this place so it’s worth it! I love the addition of the laser tag area, if you’re doing a two hour session, it’s a great way to break up some of the bounce time… and to catch your breath whilst chasing two ten year olds!

Negative experience: My daughter came here with her cousins , she was having fun till she fell into the trampoline bit then an male employee saw her fell but didn’t ask if she was okay instead told her to change her grip socks as she wasn’t wearing branded flip out socks . When we came in to check in the lady employe checked if we had grip socks but she never told us to change to their grip socks , then the male employee kept telling my daughter to get the branded flip out socks (£2.50) when clearly my daughter lips was swollen and she was crying her eyes out ( detail , he has long wavy ginger hair )I do not get what’s so difference with the grip socks , they are no different they are both have good grips .

Positive experience: Visited here a few years ago and went back for more fun this half term. It has changed! But for us, unfortunately, not for the better. Now more suited for younger visitors, not for teenagers/young people anymore ‍. Booked a group ticket, and they all came back and said the same. It was OK, and they, as a group, made it fun, but wouldn't go again...the activities they'd remembered from before were no longer there, they'd been updated but had been made for younger people. Shame and nearly £100 wasted but this is our opinion for OLDER teenagers *15yrs+

Jennifer Smith 1 year ago

Negative experience: It didn't feel like a safe place. Children running from a to b. Running across trampolines, it front of people as they jumped. The children didn't care and the three visible members of staff supervising were unable to stop anyone running, fighting and keeping the trampolines to one each. YET when signing in, l was told there would be someone supervising our party, and there were other parents?! But should l be surprised the place felt so unsafe? The mass of reading you are expected to absorb was insanely long and you could not hear anything on the video you were expected to watch. So, no, l wouldn't go back as that place is an accident waiting to happen.

Positive experience: Great for kids, Fun and Excitement for hours. I did a 2 hour session which I think is a perfect length of time. Free Acess to Jugs of tap water. Also you can buy your own lunch there in the cafe, furthermore you can place your belongings in their lockers.

Nikki David 1 year ago

Negative experience: Arrived with excitement 2 hours booked. 2 minutes in was asked to go and buy branded socks even though the socks we had on where official trampoline socks with way better stick. X3 pairs brought. Lots of kids running around like cats on speed. No order. We jumped on the first trampoline in sight and i got removed by a member of staff, and told it was kids only, as its our first time I didn't know this, i asked where the sign was he pointed to the very back wall in the dark could barely see it. So we accepted this and moved on. After asking where the adult area was "down there" we managed to find them. Me and my daughter where stood on one and my parter stood next to me to ask a question same member of staff told us off for all being on the same trampoline. When looking around there where multiple people actually jumping on the trampolines they weren't told off. I questioned this and the staff member said I'm going to tell them in a minute. I watched and the staff member didn't tell any one else it continued. So we moved on again. This staff member followed. We moved on again and found lazer quest. Which was brilliant fun, the game set up was fab very energetic and a good sport. We then found football which was good fun too. Health and safety apparently says you need their branded socks to play. Even if you have socks for trampolining. You can't call yourself a green business. When you make customers buy socks because you want to make money. Then allow 14-16 year olds to jump and play with a mobile phone hanging out the top of your leggings next to your belly on show the whole time. That's not a health and safety issue no? Also they do not accept cash. Wouldn't come again! Double standards, money grabbing, jumped up kids "running" the place. Not got a clue. I'd rather drive all the way to Walsall and go to ninja warrior then drive home again than ever go to flip out again.

Alicia Castrillo 1 year ago

Positive experience: Flip out is great fun for the whole family. They have two white trampolines to jump into the foam pit, I only wish they had few more of those to do tricks on, as the black ones are a little hard to land on when you crash out. Please get some more

Negative experience: Not very impressed. Staff are so rude+ just constantly on there phones & not actually paying attention a lot of the time besides 1 or 2. Went for a toddler session that started at 11 thinking we could stay for lunch, they ended up having a sign saying that had practically nothing so couldn’t stay more then an hour. Staff member hoovering around trampolines as toddlers are around tripping over wires. Unsafe.

Negative experience: Sorry guys but on ASC session ( for children with disabilities) reduced capacity and lower noise, is it anyone can check proof of priority for disable children. So many yang kids plying with no care about disabled and sorry but noise is not lower, just parents are saving on booking. Are you really want to be on our place? Of course not every disability is visible and seen other other kids struggling.

Faye Davies 1 year ago

Positive experience: First time we've ever been and I wasn't impressed with the health and safety side of it. At the other end of the entrance are two trampolines with basketball hoops, the one on the left which is around a corner and not visible until you're right by it was broken (huge hole the length of the trampoline you could literally fall through and then later the actual trampoline was removed), it had a strand of tape across it and said "no access" but it was toddler time and very few toddlers can read that. We were not made aware of this issue and so when my 3 year old ran over there I was not aware of any potential danger. He ducked under the tape to get the ball and nearly went down the hole before I managed to get him, that is a huge drop as well. I would have thought that whole area would be properly cordoned off or a member of staff there to prevent this from happening as you cannot see that area until you are beside it. Otherwise the trampolines and other activities there were good and we enjoyed ourselves.

Rich Bradshaw 1 year ago

Negative experience: Adult part at back (ie the main bit!) removed, so now nothing for over 5’ apart from the not very bouncy trampolines in middle. No supervision from staff or most parents so small children running up and down making it impossible to jump or use the tumble track. Way too busy - no spaces in car park, and the EV charger is out of order. Been loads of times before - wouldn’t bother now - trampoline we have in garden is bouncier, safer and more fun according to our children!

Negative experience: My son used to love coming here, however now the adult trampolines at the back are gone there is nothing for him as it’s all aimed at young children. We drove over an hour to be here, paid for 2 hours bouncing, left before the first hour was done as we where bored, would have been sooner but we queued for ages waiting for the laser quest. The other trampolines aren’t very bouncy and he’s too tall for the decent ones in the children’s section. Waste of money. Wish I’d read the reviews and realised the good part of the park was gone before I spent the money, wasted our day and drove the distance.

Fantastic experience: Had a birthday party here today (Bronze package). Kids had a great time bouncing for an hour and then pizza, crisps and packet jelly tots with drinks. What I didn't realise was that we got a named party host for the time we were there. This person did a truly excellent job of helping make sure the party ran smoothly. They got everyone sorted with bands and socks. Then kept an eye on the kids and adults during bouncing and rounded everyone up for food. FYI - take your own napkins, they don't provide these. It was really fantastic! I would recommend a kids party here. We had ages 3 to 17 at the party and the bouncing accommodates any age. There were two minor negatives about the visit; main toilets that didn't have any toilet paper in them, and nachos weren't great (cheese had melded all the crisps together rock hard, so I couldn't split apart to eat).

Owen Towner 2 years ago

Positive experience: Been about a year since I had been, went back today with my 2 year old and quickly discovered the rules around bouncing with your child. I understand there needs to be rules but there was no other children in the under 5's area and we got told were not aloud to bounce with our child.so we moved into the section next to it, got told our child ain't aloud to bounce in that area. So where can you actually play with your child or do we all just sit down at a table and let the children play alone? Some children want to be shown what to do or may need a confidence boost. Just slightly ruined it for us. Also for adults, they have removed the best area? The adult parkour sort of area at the back is replaced by a laser quest thing. This was easily the best area. Dodgeball Court is now football which ain't too bad but does not incorporate trampolines.

Negative experience: We've visited several times, each time the kids love it, but it is on a downward spiral. Staff have been rude, the place is filthy including the toilets and it is so chaotic there, there will be a serious injury soon. Children are left to their own devices, staff don't guide them, very frustrating when I make sure my children are careful and stick to the rules and yet others just run a muck!

Negative experience: Unreasonable staff telling kids off for little things that aren't even signed, laser quest has replaced the parkor section which was much better. The laser game also doesn't work very well. One member of staff physically grabbed and pushed our son as he went into the younger section and is very close to the height limit. Do not recommend

Fantastic experience: Went for a kids party. From the point of my boy going in there I saw him twice in 2 hours, he was bright red, sweaty as hell and just wanted food and drink. I had 2 hours chatting to a mate almost totally uninterrupted. I would give that 6 stars if I could. I think the boy would too! Foods pretty decent, priced slightly high, (but not as high as the average soft play) and there's a high level mezzanine with seating from which to observe the children wearing themselves out. Top stuff.

Fantastic experience: Great place to realise you're getting old and have aches in places you didn't realise you could when you've finished. Top notch slushies too
