Anytime Fitness Taunton

Positive experience: Not bad

Fantastic experience: I have loved going to Anytime Fitness here and found that it has been the friendliest gym I've been to. I was devastated to receive an email yesterday informing me that the Taunton gym will be closing as of midday on Thursday 31st August 2023. I wish the best to the team there and hope they are able to find work again soon as they have been truly fantastic. Ewan was particularly helpful in helping me to develop a training program that has really improved my workouts.

Fantastic experience: I have been with AF Taunton for nearly two years and since Andy, Ewan and Joe have been part of the team we finally have great classes; Zumba on Monday with Grace (so much fun) and highlight of my week. From the classes I have made some lovely friends, we meet up outside of the gym for drinks/ dinner etc and it is great that AF has bought us all together! For a smaller gym and older equipment everything is useable and all staff members are available and happy to show you how to use certain items if you are stuck. At previous gyms in the past I have never had the confidence to use the free weights/ squat racks and now it is in my weekly routines. I would definitely recommend AF Taunton to anyone looking to join a gym locally!

Negative experience: Avoid, there are better and cheaper gyms out there. Restricted parking, only one rack of weights which makes it too busy, no spin bikes or slam balls, no 14kg kettle bell, classes are basic.

Fantastic experience: Amazing atmosphere where you are not left to your own devices. As a newcomer to the gym experience I was daunted by all the machines however the 1-1 sessions offered for free changed that instantly. Easy to book and very informative. The membership consultant Ewan Beattie helped me get comfortable with the machines and also encouraged me to work on my form rather than piling on the weight I highly recommend this gym and the 1-1 lessons that are offered

Fantastic experience: Anytime as always, i have gone late evenings, its sometimes busy but mostly friendly people. They could do with more adjustable benches as i feel this is lacking. Staff are amazingly lovely and happy to help.

Positive experience: This Gym as all the equipment needed for a good workout. Including water pin machines and free weights. Instead of having ladies and gents changing rooms they had five individual rooms cleated with loo and shower Staff are friendly, they were perfectly fine with me attending for the day

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, always clean, great atmosphere, nice music the best of it you can go any time ⏲️

Positive experience: Nice and clean gym ,with friendly staff. But needs a bit of TlC maintenance, some lockers broken. unisex shower need to be cleaned or bin need to be placed in as some people are dirty leaving behind their underwear . Overall satisfied as it is .parking is only 90 minutes free .

Fantastic experience: Been going for a few years now and wouldn't consider going anywhere else in Taunton, mostly due to the central location alongside the 24/7 opening times which make it incredibly convenient and easy for me to drop in whenever. Enough equipment for everybody (having three racks to choose from in particular is excellent). Always clean and the shower facilities are dead handy. I'm usually in outside of staffed hours but on the rare occasion I have seen them they are always welcoming, friendly and on hand to offer advice or answer questions. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic experience: I was an Anytime Fitness Taunton member for over five years before I relocated in 2020. I have to say it was the best gym I ever attended. First of all, I loved the individual changing rooms. I think this is an excellent idea for people who are body conscious. They have a great selection of equipment, including a heavier selection of weights than almost all other gyms in the area. I rarely had to queue for what I wanted. The staff are friendly and approachable. The club runs great deals for members and does well to build a community by doing mini-competitions and honouring them on social media (with permission). The location is ideal as well, in the middle of Taunton town centre. All in all, I was gutted to have to leave the gym and only did so as I moved to a new city. I would highly recommend this gym to any potential member.

Negative experience: Anytime in Taunton is dated, with its' kit and equipment needing renewing to its' lack of parking for its members to its' 12 month minimum contract commitment. It's a shame that Anytime in Taunton can't negotiatiate some kind of deal with TDBC in relation to parking before 6pm Monday to Saturday. Having been a member of Anytime previously and have visited many of their gyms, I can say that this gym in Taunton is in need of a facelift inside and is looking rather dated. It's a no from me .

Fantastic experience: I started here 4 weeks ago and I absolutely love this place. Atmosphere is great, staff are knowledgeable and helpful. It's open 24/7 which is perfect for me and it's always clean. I can always get on/ use the equipment I need.

Positive experience: Good enough facilities. If you show interest, the staff gett a bit over keen to sign you up. Like the idea of working out any time. Not sure if I would though.

Fantastic experience: Great place great people

Positive experience: Anytime fitness in my opinion is a great little place. With it being 24hr you can go in whenever you want and feel like. There is many machines and multiple of them! So you are never waiting or waiting long to use a machine. There is lots of room in the gym with lots of facilities. The staff were helpful and leave you to it but more than willing to help when needed.

Fantastic experience: Always spotless, equipment is up to date. Faultless.

Positive experience: I have signed up as a member. Good location for me as It is located in the middle of town next to the library and opposite M&S car park. Facilities are good and kept clean. It is easily accessible if you have mobility problems and has a lift inside. Staff are friendly. I opted for a membership that allows for you to take as many as breaks needed.( I have just had two months away)

Positive experience: Dated equipment. But good changing facilities. Not too busy, which is great for not having to wait during workouts.

Fantastic experience: Would recommend this gym purely due to the best local PT being based here, always great sessions with Lewis Steels PT whether you want to lose fat or gain muscle Lewis will provide you with great programmes and structures for your training and diet, it also makes a big difference having someone to push you through your sessions physically and help correct your form whilst monitoring the mechanics of your body opposed to people just sending you advice online and tracking progress pics. Friendly atmosphere and all the equipment and knowledge you will need here!

Positive experience: Ideal location, interactive room good addition

Fantastic experience: Quality equipment, always clean, the atf staff more than helpful and approachable (unlike other fitness establishments I’ve used in the past), Mark (SPT) who does his pt there is forthcoming with good sound advice also very approachable. All round good gym for all levels of fitness, I started as a novice (I still am) but building my confidence and strength daily due the place and staff. Thanks to all.

Fantastic experience: A welcoming friendly clean gym in which I enjoy my regular training sessions with expert trainer Mark Ames of Serious Personal Training - absolutely first class coaching providing superb results.

Fantastic experience: I'm not sure I understand all the low reviews about this gym. I've trained here for a year or so with Mark, SPT. The gyms always spotless, the equipment is in good order and there is plenty of it. Staff are always friendly. Changing rooms are clean. It's also not too busy, which means you can generally get on what you need when you need it. And for anyone wanting PT I'd thoroughly recommend Mark.

Fantastic experience: I train here with my PT Mark Ames from Serious personal training for the last year it’s a good gym. Mark is very skilled as a PT and has helped me achieve amazing results he has incredible attention to detail and is very knowledgeable.

Negative experience: Rude staff, poor customer experience

Fantastic experience: Mabs Kha below unfortunately must have confused Anytime with another gym in the area as they don't actually have any female fitness instructors currently! Bit of a shame, facebook reviews say it all on this gym, have been a member since it opened! :):):)

Negative experience: Terrible experience and the staff were rude-arrogant! I found especially the women fitness instructors were very rude! They need to invest into training in customer service
