Negative experience: Just had food, was not nice at all, mixed grill. Gristle in sausage, gammon tasted nothing like gammon, chicken FULL of water, frozen chips, stringy streak, dry onion ring. Will be my last time here.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful warm swimming pools, even for babies. Slide in small children's pool. Large helter-skelter slide in large pool. Clean, tidy changing rooms. Friendly staff. And a lovely bar/restaurant with playroom for the children. Food was really good, selection and quality, good value, filling meals

Negative experience: Pool was very cold, changing room floor needs a jolly good clean, and more cubicles suitable for adult and career or parent and child needed. Hot tub being hogged by same group every-time we go to the public swim on a monday morning annoying especially when we approach a life guard and point this out to be told they ask them to rotate which clearly they didnt.

Positive experience: Relatively clean and staff seemed friendly but the pool could have done with being a little warmer.

Negative experience: Checked online for public swim times before driving 20 miles, only to be told on arrival that the whole pool is hired out for private lessons every weekday! I didn't even want to swim but was denied access to the sauna and jacuzzi as they are on the poolside!

Fantastic experience: Clean, has everything u could want out of a leisure centre, and the food is amazing

Negative experience: It was ok when I went the changing rooms it smelt of wee really bad and when I went in the pool with my kids it was a bit cold but soon warmed up there was only one other family there with us so it was rlly calm and quiet but when I was walking towards the steps I stood on something squishy which I did not like I did a handstand underwater with my kids and the floor Was very filthy so it’s not the cleanest but it’s ok my kids loved the water slide I really thing that they do need more but when I went down I kept getting stuck and near the end of the slide I slowed down really quick and didn't go into the water how I was ment to I kinda had to push my self in and one thing I’m sad about is that the hot tub wasn’t open but other than that it was a good experience

Negative experience: I Phoned up earlier this week to enquire about swimming times for my 4 month old son. I told them that this swimming baths held happy memories for me as a kid and my husband hasnt been able to go swimming with our son for a while so we were looking for a special outing especially since he does seasonal work and he will commence working 7 days a week soon. They told me they had a swimming session at 16:00 today, also told me that I didn't need to book and see you on Saturday at 16:00. I turned up for no one to be present at reception, I had to look for a member of staff which there was only bar staff. I was then told they had cancelled it at lunch time. I had to prepare a baby bag, organise his feeds to align with going swimming at this time, travel 20 mins to have to search for member of staff and be told they cancelled it because no one has booked on, yet they told me I didn't need to book on?? Maybe people would book on if they were told to do so? I would have come to the 14:00 slot but I was told that the 16:00 slot would be the best time for our baby as it is the quietest so we would get quality time as a family. Really disappointed to say the least.

Negative experience: Hot tub is always cold and full of kids at times and men’s showers are cold and have very little pressure or flow. Keep under 12’s out of the spa especially children with nappies on! Why put up regulations and signs if you’re not going to enforce them!

Positive experience: £7 for an 90 min swim session ?!?! Is the pool filled with unicorn tears !?

Negative experience: Every aspect of this facility needs modernisation, it’s a shame options in Nottinghamshire are so limited that the public are almost forced to use this place. You even have to phone up just to book, then even if you can get through you have to hand over your bank details over the phone in a very insecure way. What business these days does not have a secure online booking system so you don’t waste 2 hours of your life calling up to not get answered.

Positive experience: We went to a child's pool party (pool open just for party guests). The pool is not the warmest. In general the pool area looks clean. Could do with some modernising as it all seems unchanged from when I went as a kid. Only two showers worked and some locks on the changing cubicles are missing. At night time the outside lights in the carpark were not working so do not park too far away as the carpark is really dark. Altogether the kids at the party seemed to enjoy the full 2 hours.

Positive experience: First time we have been and I was so surprised to see the Indoor Bowls rinks empty and under used. We enjoyed our bowling the price for non members was £5.50 per hour, wow £2 per person more than others.

Positive experience: Swimming is good and cheap, provided you make sure to book. Absolutely freezing coming out of the pool into the changing rooms though, the kids we took felt it more than us too so it was a very quick rush to get dried and dressed. Changing rooms were clean but could definitely do with a revamp. Used to go as a kid and it's not changed at all since then (I'm 32 now).

Positive experience: 3 adults 1 junior and 2 toddlers. Not too busy so it was lovely. The water was a lovely temperature. Lots of chlorine in the water but that was to be expected because of the amount of children. Not a long queue for the slide or the jacuzzi Lovely big changing cubicles pool side for families. Changing rooms were clean . Went to the cafe afterwards and it was really reasonably priced and great food. Lovely indoor play area for under 5's We arrived and was told the session only had an hour left. Bit dissapointed but we enjoyed our time nonetheless.

Negative experience: In serious need of a modernisation. Been the same since opening in the mid 90s.

Negative experience: The facilities were OK. With a jacuzzi and a sauna ( for an extra cost), but I can't get over how incredibly dirty the pool was. It was full of debris, and the water didn't seem chlorinated properly. My husband was unfortunate enough to get athletes foot from here ( as we haven't been anywhere else and he had never suffered before visiting) it was £19.00 for a family of 3 and honestly I feel this was a bit over priced for what this is. We won't be going back unless this place is cleaned up a bit. The staff were absolutely lovely, hence the 2 starts, otherwise it would be a one.

Positive experience: Took my daughter and her friends there for swimming, as we'd never been before and I'd recommend it, the lady on reception was very helpful, swimming pool and area around the pool was clean, changing rooms were ok, they have a baby pool with slide and a larger slide for the teenagers and adult's plus a sauna which is abit extra to use in the pool area also, very surprised at the size of the place, they have gym and indoor bowls facilities and a bar serving drinks and food, also a cafe that looks over the pool, plenty of parking aswell, we'll definitely be going again

Positive experience: Of course, the pool size and the slides can't compete with the likes of Water meadows in Mansfield. However, the cleanliness, hygiene and quality of customer experience is truly leaps and bounds ahead of Water meadows! The staff should be proud of themselves and the establishment.

Positive experience: The pool was nice and warm for our young ones and the food was lovely. Staff were helpful and pleasant around the pool and in the cafe. A couple of negatives stopped me giving it 5*. There was only one family changing room available which had a pushchair parked in it with dirty wheels which was a health hazard. The toys in the play area were absolutely filthy and I had to wipe them down before putting our young grandchildren in some of them. Not great for germs spreading. There was no antibacterial gel in there either. I’d heard about this before I went but thought it might be untrue. Please clean the toys and the equipment. There’s also no hair dryers in the changing rooms to dry off your hair. It’s a shame that these things let it down as they’ve done a great job with the revamp.

Negative experience: Avoid the gym. Machines broken for over a year including treadmills. Despite numerous complaints from members nothing ever gets mended or even serviced. Happy to take your monthly subscriptions while ignoring the risks posed by broken equipment.

Fantastic experience: Pleasant clean place wasn't too packed out no cafe open though we was spectating our grandson swimming so was super hot by the poolside the life guards were very attentive making sure people were safe and the receptionist was lovely

Positive experience: This was my 1st time there and I was taken by a friend. They have indoor bowls, very reasonably priced lunch snacks and larger meals for an evening outing. I watched a game of bowls in progress and was taken back to when I was younger and played frequently. A pleasant couple of hours.

Fantastic experience: Went swimming here with my grandson. It's not changed in years, still clean and child friendly. Definitely go again, but you need to book a space. I have not tried the snack bar area but will do next time.

Negative experience: Took my children swimming on Saturday and locker room had been broken into wallets phones money all taken from multiple lockers. Turns out there is no way of replacing items as left at own risk. Security systems like turn styles were left open reception left unmanned. Shocking stay away staff not helpful at all and not worth the risk of being robbed when at most vulnerable. Shocking and disappointing

Negative experience: I've not been here since I was a kid. On multiple occasions I have tried to book into come as I can find very little information online about what time public swims are. There is no online booking system and on all occasions there has never been anybody answering calls in reception.

Negative experience: Far too hot in the changing rooms! And could also do with a very good clean! When I come out the pool with my little lad I kinda what to walk on a clean floor... not other people's hairs and gunk! The staff should maybe cheere up also. Thanks.

Positive experience: Food here is lovely, big portions and they do homemade chips too. We go quite regularly, there’s a big free soft play area for younger kids which is great.

Negative experience: Great swimming venue especially for children and young people. However in a very short sighted attempt to restrict numbers due to Covid, it is now necessary to prebook a time. This results in between 25-35 people crammed into a tiny waiting area waiting to be admitted to the pool area putting us all at risk of an infection far greater than in the pool. Quite disturbing the logic that went into this idea!!.

Fantastic experience: Magnificent local well run swimming pool bar and restaurant. Plenty of parking and made to feel most welcome. A lovely afternoon swim and followed by a cold beer and some nicely cooked simple food.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely mint! Family run leisure centre. We used the pool and found it to be plenty warm enough, water was nice and clean too. Three life guards were on at the time of our visit covering all angles. Flume was popular, and with numbers been carefully managed on entry to pool the queue for the flume was barely 1 minute. After our swim we went to the canteen where the menu was huge, with lots on offer....even T-bone steak. I would gladly recommend to others and we will be back as soon as we can.

Positive experience: Good place for taking the grandson swimming. Can't see the need for the restrictions to carry on though. Booking and 15 minutes to use the changing rooms is a bit unnecessary now. Beside that, the grandson loved it. Staff were very helpful and friendly too, a lovely atmosphere.

Positive experience: Had two meals my wife was over the moon with the ham salad I had the gammon which was very nice but the chips were cooked to many times and did not taste very nice

Positive experience: I've been attending this swimming pool for a few months now since moving to the area. I bring my two year old daughter with me. Every time we come we have a great time, the log flume is great fun and the children's pool is a good introduction to the water. The reception staff are always friendly and helpful, especially the Scottish one, apologies if I have got the accent wrong. The life guards always engage well with me when I ask them any questions etc. The only reason why I haven't given it a 5/5 is because the pools temperature isnt always consistently warm, however this is only a small criticism as we always have a great time.

Positive experience: Recently started coming here to get our little one into swimming, she loves it. Prices reasonable given the session time. During school term times there's not many folk in. Only problem is the pool temperature, it's cold. We took a digital Baby bath thermometer in and it's 28degC in the pool. Water going in was 30 but it's still too cold for babies. There is a poster up discussing water temperature as folk going to classes have complained. It definitely feels cold! Poolside shower not working, changing room showers REALLY cold.

Negative experience: Just sat in A and E awaiting triage from one of the nurses because of my 2 year old crying due to her eyes stinging and laboured breathing. We booked in for a 11:30 swim at South forest, my daughter enjoys the Jacuzzi so we entered it. Within one minute my chest was tight and we were both coughing and and our eyes were stinging! And it wasn't just us, there were other children and elderly in there who all had the same reaction!. If the doctors believe there could be some long term damage to my daughter's eyes or lungs I will be taking legal action! The Jacuzzi was closed off within 20 minutes of our swimming session starting so something was wrong!

Fantastic experience: Been going here for years. A sports complex with large indoor bowls rink (my forte) with a bar with food attached and restaurant upstairs. Food is cheap but very good as is the beer especially the mild which down south now is almost nonexistent. Worth a visit.

Positive experience: Go swimming here sometimes with the kids. Overall OK if you don't look too closely as scum marks are all around the waterline. Also if being honest, the life guards generally stand in one place, (bloke with long hair often seen watching the younger ladies) whereas I feel they should be walking around the pool starting from opposite ends but in same direction as from where they stand there are hidden areas where kids often play. If you're stood at one end whilst someone is in trouble at the other end it's all extra valuable time lost. But yes it's OK as I do keep going. Reasonably priced too.

Fantastic experience: Great time swimming, small pool but big fun. Not over crowded. Changing rooms very clean, cleaners in attendance after each session. Has disabled section with changing rooms, ramp access Has a lovely eating area, serving delicious food, good value for money.

Positive experience: Great place for family swim, warm pool and warmer jacuzzi plus water slide......and good value pub food in the bar afterwards. A regular place for us to go as a family at the weekends.

Negative experience: Pool is absolutely freezing! All the children had blue lips. We had to sit in the jacuzzi to get warm! Definitely not a tropical pool.

Negative experience: The water temperature is so low that last time I was there I had to leave early. Went again on 15th January 2022 and before I i paid I asked about the temp of the water, the lady at reseption took me into the pool area so I could feel the water. As I walked in the pool are the room temp was warm but the water was very cold. I then asked the life guard if anyone had said it was cold ,his reply was from his shift starting at 2pm quiet a few had said the water was cold, so with this we laft, very poor especially at this time of year and for children who go regularly. Need to change before no one goes at all.

Fantastic experience: Really good local place to do everything from the gym and the swimming pool and massive indoor bowls area to visiting for events like celebrity speech or local combat sports etc the do functions like weddings etc as well the cafe and food are fresh cooked and the Sunday carvery which this was the visit this time was almost home cooked good and the Sunday price is brilliant think it was a tenner or just over with a pudding staff a polite and helpful as well will be back 100%
