Fantastic experience: Great gym, well equipped and the staff are friendly and very helpful especially as a novice.

Positive experience: The gym itself is small but adequate, if not a little tired in places. The studio space is nice and when I used the gym, it was convenient. My biggest complaint about this gym was one older male PT. He had a strange approach to his clientele and the advice / comments offered were tone deaf and not motivational. I used to dread seeing him in the gym because he was off-putting and smarmy. This is clearly only my personal POV, but i believe part of being in the health industry is understanding the client, what other factors might be at play with their fitness goals and being sensitive to people's needs. Unfortunately one creepy guy made this gym a turn-off for me.

Fantastic experience: There is a great atmosphere in this gym. Plenty of free weights, weight machines, elliptical machines, equipment as well a studio for group classes. Every PT is very helpful and friendly but so are the other gym-goers. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at various gym chains before but never ever felt confident enough going. But Park Health has a really nice welcoming feel to it. Such a personalised approach. I had an amazing gym induction with Ray and feel like it’s opened up a whole new world for me! I’m excited to start my fitness journey and really feel I have their continued support throughout that.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting management team, I cancelled my membership as discussed and they kept on taking payment, this happened to a group of friends in there too. Managers used to send out younger staff to speak to us

Fantastic experience: 5 STAR Amazing gym, always new additions and equipment, friendly staff - nothing is too much. Nice to actually visit a friendly gym and enjoy training again. Will recommend to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Friendly and knowledgeable staff, loads of classes one can take plus a personal workout plan..all included in the monthly membership, or, just do your own thing.. only been a member for a few days, think I'm gong to like it...

Fantastic experience: Recently refurbished and is now amazing with everything you would ever want. Everyone is also super friendly!

Negative experience: I worked down in Basingstoke for a few weeks earlier in the year and the gym was happy for me to pay for a few weeks worth of membership. I was working nearby recently and asked if they could help me with a day pass and the staff member on the desk at the time were unhelpful and felt like they didn’t want me to use the gym for a day session. Won’t be using them again when I work nearby.

Fantastic experience: You're made to feel comfortable no matter what level of fitness you are. Enough equipment whether you're doing Bodyweight, Weights or Cardio. Staff are always on hand to help you out with new equipment and the atmosphere is buzzing! Members have great gym etiquette.

Positive experience: I felt really colostro phobic in this place. Otherwise it’s clean and tidy

Fantastic experience: Great friendly gym with excellent facilities and knowledgable, supportive staff. It is made clear at the time of joining that a months notice is needed and the contract will be a rolling one after three months (or whichever initial contract you choose) so not sure why so many are complaining about that? Excellent value for money!

Positive experience: Great little village gym. Prices are very steep - £50 for 1 months rolling membership - however no pool and can get busy

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS GYM - I joined this gym as it was local to my work at the start of January. In email correspondence to the gym they offered a 3 month contract for £40. I used the gym for the 3 month, but, when this was up I saw the money had still be debited from my account. I was told that I had to give a months notice, even though my contract was only 3 months! Turns out in the T&Cs of the contract you are instantly put on a rolling contract even though you commit to 3 months. I asked for this to be refunded as I only signed up for 3 months and they just quoted the T&Cs. Disgusting behaviour from a local business. I will be looking to get legal advice as this is bad business practice and have email correspondence which never stated this. DO NOT USE THIS GYM AT ALL COSTS!

Fantastic experience: Great little gym with corporate discounts available for local businesses.

Negative experience: Went to this gym for maybe 3/4 occasions in March/beginning of April they didn't even offer me a membership card or neither did I receive a welcome pack, then spoke to someone in the gym and cancelled the membership, obviously I was happy to pay for the 1st 3 months although never actually used, didn't even think I was registered as I never recieved anything formal in the post. Went to go through some banking stuff today and guess what they are still taking money for something that was cancelled in person in March/April at the latest. When I called to speak to someone about this the guy on the end of the phone was very rude and said they need a months notice to cancel, there must be a back log as this was given to them 5/6 months ago. The guy then went on to say that should I cancel the direct debit then I will be receiving a threatening letter demanding the £45.99 membership fee for next month as they have not had a months notice. I will happily stand in a UK court and state that notice was given after the 3/4 visit as I never returned and seen as I never recieved a membership card/pack I was given the impression that I was never enrolled anyway. So as for the £45.99 that you want to chase me, I will be informing my bank that your organisation has been fraudulently accepting funds from an account that was cancelled some time ago.

Positive experience: It's a small gym with a moderate range of machines and friendly staff who will try their best to improve your workout

Fantastic experience: Been going to The Park for approximately 4 years. Since Dan and Ray took the place on recently it has transformed from a small time health club to a well equipped and vibrant gym. Good number of members so you can always get on what you need, even when doing circuit based training with a few pieces of equipment. Great job Dan and co!
