Fantastic experience: Nice modern pool and kids splash area

Positive experience: Good leisure centre. Only two probles I have are 1) there's never any notification to say if the teaching pool is closed, meaning I get there, get changed and walk through to the pool only to find I can't swim and have a waste of time. Yeah I could use the main pool but it's too busy and prefer the quiet of the teaching pool. Having a sign saying saying "teaching pool closed" in reception isn't that hard is it? 2) the aerobics class in the teaching pool is meant to finish at 8.15pm on Wednesday evenings. Every week without fail they always go over by 5 minutes. Last Wednesday (Jan 8th) they didn't finish until 8.25pm! There's a clock in the pool so there's no excuse to not finish on time.

Positive experience: This place is quite clean and nice .The place includes Rock climbing a pool and a cafe As i have Never been swimming there i dont have many details for that but for rock climbing I've been many times There are many different walls to pick from and i recommend bringing Your children/grandchildren

Positive experience: Great place for the little ones and has two bigger slides

Positive experience: Aquaplay - in need of repair. An otherwise brilliant childrens' water play area and an overall visit. Many broken aquaplay facilities and some beyond repair.

Fantastic experience: Great time in all the pool areas! We went to the inflatable play in the sports hall which was good for Littleones aswell.

Positive experience: Lovely set of pools. Appear clean and well maintained. Main pool, 25 metres long. £1coin or trolley token for lockers (returned) Booking for Aqua play. Booking not possible for general swim. Staff are kind and efficient.

Fantastic experience: One of my favourite places in Great Yarmouth! Excellent facilities - clean and well-maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. And saving the best for last, the café with glass wall that opens to a spectacular view of the beach!

Positive experience: Visited the dog friendly cafe after a walk on the beach. Good place to get away from the windy weather. Nice clean toilets. Costa coffee and snacks. A very welcome break with a tired dog.

Positive experience: Great place for a swim. Staff are most welcoming, it's just a shame there seems to be a lack of communication, especially when a sudden incident occurs and they have to close the pool. Sadly they fail to notify their customers. Also I feel sorry for the cleaning staff who have to deal with the majority of the general public who don't care a damn about leaving their litter/ dirty nappies for others to pick up. Oh and doesn't Google know that due to data protection we aren't allowed to take photos

Positive experience: Nice swimming pool. Deep end and shallow end. Lane swimming. Smaller pool think aimed for disabled people. Although any one can use it. Then there's a pirate ship themed splash zone! Good fun. Tipping buckets! Water jets! Then you have 2 slides weaving in and around!! Lifeguards around pools. Need to supervise small children. Café good tea coffee cold drinks snacks. Check prices. Not too expensive. Carpark free if using pool and facilities.

Negative experience: Changing rooms to the pool absolutely disgusting, floors are not cleaned regularly. Toilets dirty. Kids pool area cold Outside toilets to the center no paper no soap. Considering it’s a leisure center the overall cleanliness was pretty bad.

Fantastic experience: I only visited the Costa Cafe which the service was good and the choice of food

Negative experience: Used the leisure pool, lot of money for what it is. Tiny splash zone only sutiable for babies and toddlers. There's 2 flumes for older kids and adults which are actually very fun with lights and everything, but that's it. You do also get access to the 1m pool and also the long fitness pool but only if there's no lessons going on. Chlorine concentration was very high to the point it caused skin irrotatatoon on the face and eyes which we don't get in other pools. Pool temperatures were all over the place. Showers are scolding hot, even for adults so not suited for children. On the plus the facilities when we went were nice and clean. Make sure you take pound coins for the lockers, but you do get back when you unlock them. You also get 3 hours free parking but only if you enter your reg at reception.

Fantastic experience: Excellent sports and social centre. Great facilities, both dry and wet sports.

Negative experience: Have been calling them for over a week and no one ever answers the phone. Leave messages for a call back and no one bothers to call you back.

Fantastic experience: First visit since the rebuild and I was very impressed. We took our 2 grandchildren to the indoor bouncy castle. It was massive and pretty quiet so there was plenty of space for them to jump about. Staff on hand to keep an eye out were friendly. Especially when I decided to take the youngest (18m) up the steps and go down the slide with her! Never realised I could move so fast but gravity is a bit of a bu#@er. Definitely recommend as good value for money as well.

Fantastic experience: Staff helpful, changing facilities for the pool very clean and spacious, pools and flumes all good too. Not the cheapest but worth the money and would definitely use again.

Positive experience: Pretty grubby today in the changing rooms and walk through to the pool. Main pool was quite cold and small pool shut for lessons. Usually better though!

Negative experience: Really fed up with this place being disgustingly dirty in the changing rooms. The water is freezing as well. I pay nearly £50 a month to be told I can’t park my vehicle in the car park because they don’t have the key to unlock the barrier. This morning wanted to go to the gym earlier to find no one had the key to get in when the older guy arrived he needed to get to the door where i was standing no manners whatsoever just went to unlock it without saying excuse me. I’m at the point of cancelling my direct debit and finding a better place

Negative experience: I have just arrived for my morning swim and I can't get in. No one can. Just a staff member outside telling us he hasn't got a key to open up . This is not professional. At all. WELL I WAS GOING TO BECOME A MEMBER BUT IF I CANT EVEN GET IN THERE IS NO POINT.

Negative experience: I dragged my uncle and cousin down today to go here for swimming and I’m appalled by the state of this place they had a vision but did not fulfil it I went into the big pool rammed with people no space management or anything cold milky water with floating plasters!! The changing rooms where even worse smelt like poo/Oder and weren’t cleaned at all. To top my day off when I went down the slide I slipped and bruised my leg leaving it bleeding because of something sharp. This place definitely needs to be torn down and re done. To sum this all up don’t go here unless you are a chav. Because quite frankly is chav central.

Positive experience: Opening times are absurd, the main 'leisure' time for most people is a weekend and you're not open until 8am ?? Closing early too . . . I bet you can't even be bothered to open on a bank holiday weekend ??! Look up leisure in the dictionary, with the amount you charge I'd like to be able to use the facilities !!!!

Positive experience: Went twice while on a family holiday. Good value for money. Slides are great fun. Need to fix a few bits on the splash zone and shame you can’t have a child on your lap for the blue slide as a lot slower but would definitely come again as a family of 6 had a fab time.

Fantastic experience: This is great. The Marina has been drastically improved since the remodel, the slides and the aquapark are very good and quite fun, and the big pool is spacious and doesn’t get ridiculously busy. Slides can sometimes have a long queue but it usually doesn’t take more than 7 or 8 minutes. There is also a cafe which has good food and drink. Receptionists always friendly and happy to help. Great place.

Fantastic experience: Marina centre is really good the swimming pool is really good but cold. The climbing adventure is really nice. The changing rooms are very clean compared to other sports centres. There is also a small water park with a fast and slightly slower slide. Very nice sports centre.

Negative experience: I was just here and I must say that it was one of the worst experiences I had. Forks were thrown in the floor The tables were all dirty, there were breadcrumbs all over the floor and food as well. Not to mention the way that one of the employees was looking when I asked whether the coffee I ordered was actually that. I would avoid this place in The future. P.S. the toilets in this particular establishment are a danger to public health …

Fantastic experience: Was here for the clip & climb the kids love it

Positive experience: Expensive consisting you get only an hour but the slides are fun and theres changing rooms and showers.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. We came to Yarmouth for a family holiday. We are a family of 8 (2a, 2x17, 16, 15, 14 and 11) and we booked a slot as we though it would be fun for us all. However the only access we had was a splash zone aimed at little kids and 2 water slides that 3 of us wouldn't use. For us it was a waste of money due to the others just going round and round just to do slides

Negative experience: Absolutely appalling customer service. Sent an email on Saturday... No reply. Tried calling 3 times today(Tuesday) no answer. They ask you to leave your name and number and they will get back to you. They dont!!

Fantastic experience: Elder kids loved it. Was all in all a good day. Make sure you register your car or you'll get a ticket

Fantastic experience: Very nice pool with a good water play area and flumes. Three lanes in the main pool were reserved for swimmers, which was great. Showers warm and changing rooms spacious as well as clean. You get 3 hours free parking included in the admission, so overall very good value for money.

Positive experience: Nice warm, clean toddler pool but changing rooms had no heating, not regularly cleaned and blocked toilets.

Positive experience: Was a great place to take young children. It has 3 pools and plenty of fun for the little ones.

Fantastic experience: Swimming is great! It doesn't get too crowded. A booking system allows just the right numbers in. The Splash area is fun for the children. Not just swimming though. There are plenty of activities to keep the family entertained. Staff are always helpful and customer committed.

Fantastic experience: To the young lady on reception, who helped the woman on Wed 12th to book a taxi, THANKYOU, I was about to have a meltdown after a very stressful afternoon

Negative experience: The worst ever customer service I am facing in Norfolk. Extreme money snatchers manager and uncooperative reception I recommend not to take membership with them Wish Google have negative stars or rocks to hit instead of this one star I given.

Fantastic experience: Aqua play was great fun for the family 2a and 2 kids (4&8yrs). Parking was very difficult. Arrive in plenty of time before your slot. £1 needed for locker.

Fantastic experience: Having visiting the centre on 26 May with the family up from London for refreshments which were great. I stupidly left my mobile phone on table, not being a compulsive phone user I discovered it missing at around 10pm. I rang the centre the next morning and a friendly voice confirmed they had the phone which l collected after proof it was mine. I offered a reward which the staff refused. As a 86 year old I thank the staff for their honesty and the wonderful way they treated me. WELL Done

Negative experience: The click and climb had three walls out of action, still booked with more climbers than walls avaliable, our two children spent most of their time watching others climb. The main swimming pool was very cold. Much colder than previous years and this spoilt enjoyment, not sure we will return.

Negative experience: This has the potential to be a really lovely pool. However the last few times I have been (attend weekly) it has been so smelly and dirty. A real shame.

Positive experience: Great fun for the kids but extremely busy in the main pool.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommending place. Pool is bit too salty and showers are bit too hot. Always super busy and there are kids in main pool as well. However Find nothing wrong but check in advance for pool timetable as there are durations where swimming lessons conducting. Gym is cool

Positive experience: Aqua play is great for kids, main pool not very exciting and the leisure swimming area small. At least parking is free if using facilities which helps

Negative experience: It costs me and my family over £50 to go swimming here. In comparison to Water Lane, that's £35 more! The prices are far too high, as we have been to water parks for entire days for similar prices. Also, it's clear the water temperatures are kept down to cut costs. It's too cold. One of my children was blue within ten minutes. Furthermore, please tell the pool staff to smile occasionally. They just stand around chatting, and look miserable. If you ask a question, it's like you've asked them to donate a kidney.

Fantastic experience: I only visited the cafe which was Costa as I don't like their coffee I had a hot chocolate, views of the beach, staff were good and place was clean

Positive experience: Great leisure centre has all the modern exercise equipment. A large swimming pool and small pool. Climbing wall. Gyms. Lovely cafe selling Costa coffee and cakes, snacks, etc disabled toilets and baby change. As well as other toilets for everyone. Love coming here x

Fantastic experience: A lovely new building has lots of toilets including disabled toilets/ baby change. A lovely cafe that sells Costa coffee and food. Anyone is welcome to use the cafe. It has a lovely big swimming pool, a beginners pool/ children's pool. Climbing, sports, and gyms etc. it's a really lovely building.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time going here and it was fantastic it's all lovely and clean and staff help you as well they have great slides and 2 good swimming pools

Fantastic experience: My daughter has swimming ‍♂️ lessons here on a Tuesday. The instructors are fab! They get stuck in with the children and are fully supportive and help grow their confidence . Extra people are on duty for safety. Nice and clean changing rooms. My daughter really looks forward to her lessons every week. Lots of other exciting events and discounts going on too !

Positive experience: Expensive, don't think it should cost over 20 quid to take my son swimming for an hour, one of the slides in the splash pad is closed off. Staff are friendly and the place is clean but you think a multi million pound renovation would have included a bigger pool

Positive experience: Generally very impressed with the service. Took advantage of a 4-day pass. Certainly a vast improvement in many ways to the old building (though I do miss the wave machine). Tons of changing facilities and showers. I can't speak for the gym stuff but the only disappointing thing was the lack of a Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam Room. Maybe there's scope in the future to add these but otherwise a good experience. I was a little miffed when the "adults only" session seem to include teenagers which when the main pool was in use, they were a slight annoyance as they kept getting in the way when I was trying to get lengths in. I put up with it but the other guys there at the time got out shortly after they entered.

Positive experience: It was a nice experience ,very clean and new .The swimmer pool is very nice too ,just the music speaker they put right next to the pool there was very loud ,i would prefer a more relaxing music next to the swimmer pool

Fantastic experience: Great day spent at Marina Leisure with our grandchildren. Excellent facilities, cheerful and really helpful staff. Good cafe in super position right on the prom.

Negative experience: The good points - Large changing rooms readily available - large lockers - Reception staff really helpful The bad - The pools are freezing cold including the splash zone for the youngsters - the lifeguards are not paying attention and there is no lifeguard in the children's area which is strange - there was a youth watching the stairs, and then the wall - not sure what his job was - toilets and showers were unclean and no cleaners were seen

Positive experience: Nice, seemed fairly clean although the floors could have been cleaned a bit more often as there were lots of wristbands and hair around the changing area. The kids loved the splash play area and the main pool area was nice. The staff on the reception were lovely.

Fantastic experience: We had an absolute blast at the Marina Leisure Centre. The changing rooms are excellent, clean and don't smell! Lots of large family changing rooms. Varying size lockers which take a £1/trolley token which is returned to you. Showers upon entry to the pool- lots of them, hot and are of a good power. The kids area is just fab. It's separate from the main pool and overall about 40cm deep? 1 good size enclosed slide and two open slides side by side. Water bucket tips periodically over the top of the slide and there are other water cannons and water spouts etc. My 5 year old and 3 year old loved it. Water was fairly warm, the adults and 5 year old were fine through our 1hr15 session but the 3 year old got cold towards the end. This pool looks out onto the beach which was lovely. There is a smaller teaching pool which was in use at the time of our visit and appeared to be a good size and then a full size pool with spectating area down one side. Again, this pool was warm enough. There are single cubical showers which were very handy to shower myself and the kids and the use of the hair dryers on exit are free. Which I thought was great. The staff at the centre are lovely. I accidentally booked something for the following week rather than the day we turned up. And had booked swimming for the afternoon. The lady moved our booking for us so we could swim earlier and didn't have to hang around Parking is free for 3 hours but you must validate by giving them your vehicle registration. The cafe was nice. We all are lunch and there were no complaints. The clip and climb section looks like fun but we didn't do it. Overall I was very impressed with this leisure centre and will definitely be back, thank you Forgot to add... There are two large enclosed slides (the ones that go outside before coming back inside into a landing pool). We didn't go on them because my eldest wasn't happy to go on alone but they looked like they would be good fun. It is worth noting they are one user at a time (so no kids on laps) and there is a height limit (but I don't recall what it was, sorry)

Fantastic experience: Very good gym! All brand new Technogym equipment. Spacious gym.. enough free weight, kettlebells. Functional training rack in center. Lockers and showers available. Day passes available.

Fantastic experience: The indoor splash park was a real hit, especially the slides. The shared changing facilities were nice and clean and the swimming pool looked good too

Fantastic experience: Aqua pool was great, booked online for their toddler session which was 1hr. My little one had a great time and didn’t want to leave, the two big flumes weren’t open as they don’t open till 12 but aqua pool it’s self has 3 small slides which was great. Nice sized car park, register your car at reception for 3 hrs free parking. Clean changing rooms and shower area.

Positive experience: Upon going into the changing rooms, there was paper all over the floor along with the wristbands other rubbish that looked like sweet rappers this was quite disappointing to see ,this looked like it hadn't been cleaned for some time. However we reached the pool we wanted to go to and was able to have a decent swim ,but the next night was rather busy and didn't get such a good swim, a child nearly jumped on my head into the pool and a man blew his nose into the pool this made us get out and ruined our swim.while this isn't the centres fault the cleanliness of the changing rooms is. Maybe a regular check on the area would help irradicate the problem. I am still going swimming on a regular basis but would like to see it more clean.

Positive experience: A Great, recently, and extensively refurbished/expanded pool and leisure centre. The large cafe has views of the pool and access to the beachside esplanade. Book online for your pool slot and get 3hrs on the adjacent car park. Centrally located.

Positive experience: Kids love it and plenty to do, reasonably well kept new facilities. I will say though.. all our floats and arm bands got stolen from the side of the aqua play area. So be careful in there.. clearly not all people who use the facilities are as nice as would be expected.

Negative experience: Paid £11 each to get in and the pool was small and the aqua splash is mainly aimed at small children and timed

Fantastic experience: Great place to take the kids. My kids absolutely loved the slides. The only downside was when we went, the training pool was closed for swimming lessons. Then, the main pool was completely full. The staff at reception were very helpful. We will go again.

Negative experience: I'm very disappointed about everything happening there, started with poor management and finished with the atmosphere there, the swimming pool is always overcrowded, all areas are dirty, and the swimming pool staff is very unprofessional and rude, priority is always for people with benefits or disables, but never for people like me who have a membership and paying always the full amount. I will never recommend it to anyone to come and waste your time and money.

Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service for families with a disabled child. Very accommodating when somebody decided they wouldn't go swimming once we arrived! We were allowed to do the wall climbing instead and staff were very considerate of our needs. We will definitely return. We have been swimming on previous occasions and the pool and its facilities are very good.

Positive experience: Loved our experience, kids loved it and was a good price! Only quibble was that the small pool was closed due to lessons (in summer holidays) and our littlest of 10 months had to go in the colder pools which she wasn't a fan of.

Positive experience: Since it was knocked down and rebuilt, I have to say its very impressive now. The pools are nice - the slides are awesome. The rock climbing is very good too. The only slight downside is the food and drink being ridiculously expensive

Positive experience: We enjoyed our visit especially the two big slides. It was very busy but to be expected in the holidays. Clean with plenty of showers, cubicles and lockers.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend aqua play but book in advance and be prepared for the sometimes long queues on the flumes. The queues did get really short around 4-5pm ish. The two flumes are really fun and I really enjoyed them.

Fantastic experience: Visited for the aqua play. All of us enjoyed the pool and slides so much. Family of 4 cost £24 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. You also get 3 hours parking included. Which in itself is a bargain as we had paid £14 for 4 prior to our booking slot. No photos are available due to the environment.

Fantastic experience: FANTASTIC DAY AT THE POOL! THE WATER PARK AREA IS GREAT FOR THE KIDS 4 YO AND 1 YO AND ADULTS ARE BOTH ABLE TO ENJOY ALL THE WATER TOYS AND MINI SLIDES VERY FUN!!! CLEAN EVERYWHERE CHANGING ROOMS LOCKERS POOLS EVERYWHERE SPOTLESS STAFF FANTASTIC ONLY THING TO POINT OUT VENDING MACHINE WAS TAKING CASH OR CARD 5 INE WAS WORKING FINE THOUGH

Positive experience: Could have made large pool bigger as so many lessons going on could have taken it out to small car park So you can swim as well as have lessons.Also I don't think members should pay for aquasplash
