Fantastic experience: Can’t praise the new soft play enough! The facility itself is fantastic - easily climbable for even the newest climbers and a lovely play area for under 2s specifically. What struck me was how clean it was compared to other soft plays in Cardiff - not a sticky surface in sight. What’s more, you can keep a pretty good eye on the kids while they’re playing. Not 100% in view at all times but pretty close. Confident enough to let my just turned 2 year old have a wonder through on her own. Very reasonably priced and a small shop selling coffee, snacks and soft drinks also reasonably priced (coffee is surprising good quality too). The library is in the same building and the rec park directly outside so you really can spend the whole day there. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend and already looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic experience: Came to the indoor soft play on a Saturday with a toddler. She absolutely loved it! Loved the nursery rhymes playing in the background too. Very clean facilities and clean playarea.

Fantastic experience: Good choice of children's books, Lego plY on Saturdays and a pretty decent soft play area with a sitting area for parents.

Fantastic experience: The new soft play is brilliant, my two (both under 6) loved it.

Negative experience: Not a very welcoming place, stuff very unpleasant & it takes a lot of effort for being asked or served. The location of building is great however gym & other facilities a bit outdated. I am not sure who's responsible for the outside grounds but the fitness bars for pull ups, etc. has been dismantled during pandemic & never put back in place so unable to maintain my fitness wellbeing.

Negative experience: Reception staff extremely rude when there was no call for it but not to worry its a lesson not to use this library again when I am in the area in future.

Fantastic experience: Better Penylan Library and Community Centre combines a more intimate environment with comprehensive, modern provision. Inside the centre, you will find (amongst other things!) a newly refurbished gym and a multi-use sports hall. Once you have completed your session, treat yourself to a coffee on Wellfield Road which is only a short walk away.

Negative experience: If you're looking to do work in a quite area I'd avoid this library. The room upstairs is normally filled with people chatting, or parents not supervising their children, or people looking to have a lie down and charge their phone.

Fantastic experience: Often take my granddaughter to softplay here. It is safe and well managed. The music was a bit too loud the last time we went which upset her a bit, but overall it was fun and she enjoyed herself.

Positive experience: My daughter has a class in the hall after school here & me & my other children will quite happily spend our time in the library reading books during her class or outside playing in the park. Very good parking & is free for 2 hours which is usually plenty of time. Very close to shops down the road or lovely little walks to Waterloo gardens or a bit longer walk to Roath Park but is a great central place.

Negative experience: Been in library for couple print of my emails, it was really disappointed not to use any computers.

Negative experience: Decieving information about classes , as the charge £6 fir aerobic , the class for kids and they should put body condition as aerobic fast exercises on nice music , also music cheap abs not worth it £1 , not honest place be careful all

Negative experience: Gosh...and I thought maybe it was me...so much attitude on the reception staff!!! Reading many of these reviews, it seems like I'm not the only customer who can do no right!!!

Negative experience: Staff who works here could simply make your experience positive but they choose not to. They should learn how to provide service and willingness to help should be priority but shame their priority is different

Positive experience: The gym suite is always clean and has good equipment, staff are always friendly and helpful, good value for money. However, it is quite small and can get full easily at busy times, the opening times are quite restrictive as well.

Negative experience: Went in at 8.10pm but got told at 8.25pm that they were closing in five minutes. This was on a monday when on their website it says their gym closing time is 9pm. Wont be visiting again. I got the impression it was easier for the staff to start closing shop earlier due to it being quiet.

Positive experience: Yes, the space is small, this is true, and the devices are few

Fantastic experience: Absolutely my favourite library to study at, really quiet on the top floor to get your job done while on the ground floor you can bring your children and read books with them.

Negative experience: Very rude member of staff at reception from the offset. Had to go to Cathays Library where they helped me and weren't difficult or rude.

Fantastic experience: Big playground outside the community centre. Loads of facilities are available here like Library, gym and computer lab. Football courses for children are also run in this centre. There is small park outside the centre where you can spend good time with your kids.

Negative experience: I would give them zero , filfhy toilets, reception staff needs to learn to comunicate, absolutely disrespectful and rude.They should wear name bagdes!

Positive experience: Gym is pretty good not packed with equipment but makes up for it by not being too busy.

Fantastic experience: I'm a member of the library and the gym here. Great facilities and top rate staff.

Negative experience: The 3 computers I tried were pathetically slow. I waited 10 mins for one pc to login and then found it didn't have any printers installed. Luckily the job interview I was attending understood that I could not print my proof address.
