Negative experience: I have been a member of JD gym for some time now and have always appreciated the quality of services provided. However, my recent experiences with JEHNEY SALIM have been disappointing and have led me to feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention. Jehney's behavior has been consistently unfriendly and unprofessional. She rarely greets members or offers any sort of positive interaction, often walking around the gym without a smile or any acknowledgment of paying members. This creates a very unwelcoming atmosphere, especially for someone who is there to work out and focus on their fitness. Furthermore, on numerous occasions, I have witnessed Jehney telling paying members to wait for equipment because she will be using it shortly with her clients. This is both inconsiderate and frustrating, as it interrupts regular gym-goers' workouts and creates unnecessary delays. This behavior has led to a noticeable decline in my overall gym experience, and I no longer feel comfortable using the women’s area due to these ongoing issues. As a paying member of JD Gym, I believe that all members should be treated with respect, and gym equipment should be available to everyone in a fair and considerate manner. I hope this matter can be addressed to improve the overall atmosphere at the gym and ensure that members' needs are prioritized equally.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Impossible to cancel. No refund even though I didn't go a single time and cancelled with 2 hours of joining. No number works. Waste of money.

Negative experience: Disgusting A guy had a shit in the shower , and walked out in his flip flops like nothing happened Absolutely disgusting

Positive experience: Gym is great! Good equipment and plenty of room. However the shower area is filthy I felt like I had to visit the doctors after using the toilets. I wouldn’t dare use the showers looked all brown and nasty looking

Fantastic experience: A jewel of a gym.. the spin cycle class on Saturday morning was incredible and so popular - there was a queue for bikes and if you were late you missed out. Forgotten the lovely instructors in charge but one of them were a seasonal elf outfit - so much fun - felt 30years younger juts by being there !

Negative experience: Out of action showers and terrible customer service! In the past 2 months the showers have been out of order atleast 3 times! The first time this happened there wasn't even a sign informing users that the showers weren't working. You literally found out when you went to turn them on. I complained and now they do put signage up however they're full of false hope. On 23/12/24 the sign said the showers were out of use until 6am 24/12. I get to the gym at 0630 on 24/12 and the sign has changed to say that the showers are out of use until Boxing Day. Not acceptable!! There was no advance notice and users make plans around the gym and often go to work straight from there. It's happening all too often now... Please sort it out JD. Alot of people also reserve their lockers by having stuff locked in there for weeks. The staff put signs up saying to remove the padlocks else they'll be taken off in 24hrs but this always seems an empty threat as they're always still there, meaning that people wanting to use a big locker can't always find at busy times. Other than this and the fact that there are hardly any dumbells in the ladies gym it's alright there but definitely room for improvement.

Negative experience: Equipment for women poor....literally 5 treadmills of which half the time some are out our order. Yday 2 working now 4 working. They have a women's only section. I don't get why male staff have to walk in so often. Witnessed a male staff member talk so condescendingly to a woman when asked about why they have come into the woman section 4 times in a short amountof time...do they not have any women staff members who can clean, check equipment etc. There's is one particular male staff who I dnt get a good feeling about. Jd gym the women section should be for women only....sort your male staff members out, hire female only staff members to attend to women section only.

Negative experience: Such a disappointing visit. First time visiting and will be the very last time. Very poor hygiene and cleanliness! It is literally vile. Went by the sinks to wash my hands and the whole area was smelling of urine! Poor maintenance and clearly cleaners are not doing a great job. Have cancelled my membership right away and be choosing another gym elsewhere. Would definitely NOT RECOMMEND!

Negative experience: So I attended the gym on 21st and had one woman attack me in the car park so had to use force which is totally legal under the criminal law act 1967, section 3 which allows me to use reasonable force, in the prevention of a crime in this case assault, rather than the gym staff get both sides of what happened they believe the woman who lied out of her teeth causing me to get arrested, while their cctc would have also proved my statement I gave when interviewed at the police station to the exact detail, gym called me 2 days after talking about my membership is suspended. Which is strangely weird when I had every legal right to defend myself from imminent danger of attack as I was struck twice by the woman before I laid my hand on her, which she then continued to attack me, where she physically attacked me a number of times and I forcefully pushed her twice while trying to get away from her by going into the gym and she was coming after me. Staff are useless, and clueless. Now let's talk about the gym, considering its JD Gym. Equipment is always broken, torn. Changing rooms,shower room and toilets are a mess, lockers broken, ungodly smell and stinks of urine 24/7 with yellow staining all throughout the changing rooms, shower, toilet. Can never find a staff member and when you knock the office door they act like they don't hear you. Showers seems like they are hanging on by a thread as they are very loose, shower doors are flimsy, showers are most of the time cold. Staff aren't helpful, gates to get into the gym are temperamental. Pure gyms have more cleanliness then JD Gym. Was thinking about leaving the gym some time due to all of this so guess they done me a favour, rather go to a gym where I know they clean. This gym is basically it's name that sells it and nothing much else. Trust me put the extra money and go somewhere with more cleanliness, helpful staff, and upto date gym equipment.

Negative experience: I visited this gym for the first time on 19/10/2024. The changing rooms are wet and smell. The sauna smells of unpleasant female body odours. Above all, on my first visit here, I have had my watch, bracelet, ring and makeup stolen from my bag. I was assured this was a secure changing room/lockers. I was advised to raise a complaint the following day with management and complete an incident form and was given little hope at this point that I would retrieve my items as I was advised there’s no cameras in the changing rooms so this gives me slim chance in identifying the thief. I had high hopes for this gym and unfortunately I will now be cancelling my membership after one visit as this gym clearly attracts customers/staff who are thieves.

Positive experience: Decent gym, good selection of free weights and machines. Easy going chilled out staff that are helpful. Some of the people that go there are unbelievably selfish, will hog 2,3 machines at the same time, " bro I'm using all these machines", it's the same on the free weights section, they will have like 4 different sets with them. The men's toilet and showers are in desperate need of refurbishment , even a good clean , always smell terrible and are dirty. Come on JD make some changes.

Negative experience: One of the horrible place for workout I will say won’t recommend to anyone . Paid for my gym been there once coz didn’t like the it inform them same time and still waiting for my refund or update on my cancellation . I have send couple of emails while taking fee they take second and refunding and cancellation the membership is hard they don’t response . Fraud and a complete waste of time

Negative experience: I recently joined JD Gym and unfortunately, I have to say that I was quite disappointed. There are many problems that need urgent attention. First off, the cleanliness of the gym is a major issue. The toilets are consistently dirty and have a terrible smell; it honestly feels like they haven't been cleaned in ages. Additionally, the equipment isn’t in great shape either. Many of the treadmills are broken, and there's often a long queue to use the ones that are functioning. Male workers come in every hour sometimes twice or three times which is just too much. The QR code system for entry seems to be unreliable. Almost every day, it doesn't work, which means I have to wait for someone to come and let me in. Overall, there are just too many problems in this gym.

Negative experience: Clean gym, I can only speak for the women’s section and changing rooms. Equipment is always missing, one day it’s there one day it’s not. Randomly they won’t have the weights you need or they take out mats. Male workers come in every hour sometimes twice or three times which is just too much. They should only come in once every 2 hours AT MOST. Toilets are always dirty. Toilet seats are broken. Over all nice and very helpful workers. The treadmills are ALWAYS broken and there’s always a cue for them.

Negative experience: I am disabled and I am constantly harassed as soon as I enter the shower, I take time to dry myself and sometimes have to sit down to dry myself - I am told not to sit down as this makes the area wet, where am I meant to dry myself? sometimes l can’t dry my back etc so wait on the seats by the shower before entering the changing room as to not wet the floor but I am told I’ve made the seating area wet - it’s a water proof seat. The manager keeps giving me warnings I’ve told him I am disabled and leave me alone, he does it more. It’s a shame us disabled people are treated like this by so called manager you need to send them on training.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a new place to workout and my buddy told me about jd gyms Birmingham. I have to say I'm really impressed, from the cleanliness of the machines to how friendly the staff are, Craig left a great impression on me. This is the place to be for a proper workout.

Fantastic experience: Was Completely new to a JD gym and didn't really know where everything was, Staff member named Craig saw how lost I looked and helped a guy out, shown me around and even gave me some helpful advice and tips, professional and extremely well mannered guy 10/10

Negative experience: I been member of the gym almost since opened it and it's a great gym but awful hygiene. There are no cleaners and if they clean they do the last hour of them shift also they suppose to turn off sauna at 10 but they do it abit earlier. I have complained numerous times & nothing has been done yet.

Positive experience: Very good equipment... Fully packed all the time... I like my gym with less people...

Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff- very helpful staff members especially Craig who always addresses any problems that I have promptly. Craig is very approachable.

Positive experience: Range of machines is ok. Free weights - very limited. Showers always stinky.

Fantastic experience: I come to this gym because of the variety and availability of the yoga classes. Spread out through the week there are yoga classes for all abilities and teacher Alyssa is very helpful and accommodating to everyone’s needs. Hope to continue as long as the classes are still on.

Fantastic experience: Craig & Acer are the best JD Gym assistants I have ever had. Everything they do is for the greater good of future gyms. I wish that every assistant at all JD Gyms were as kind, determined & helpful as Craig & Acer. Thank you for continuously keeping the Birmingham JD Gym fresh & ready

Negative experience: I’ve been coming to this since it’s opened however recently it has really gone downhill, the biggest issue being that AC does not work on the middle floor where almost all the main weight lighting machines & dumbbells are located. I’ve complained numerous times & nothing has been done about it. I think someone will need to have a heatstroke or possibly faint for them to finally take action on this. The gym is also very unhygienic and equipment does not get updated as they are all the ropes & pullies are tattered.

Positive experience: Great gym has everything it needs for a gym. But I have to say the male changing rooms and sauna area smells really bad. I’m not sure if it is bad sewerage but it just has a really off putting smell which means I never use the sauna. It needs to be freshened up

Negative experience: This gym probably has the worst layout I have ever seen and therefore the worst gym I have been to. It’s split across 3 floors. If you want a particular shoulder machine you’d have to go to the third floor, if you wanted to use free weights after you’d have to go to the 2nd floor. By the time you switch between floors the pump is gone and the session just feels really blocky. The gym had no air conditioning, windows are screwed closed. Gym stunk due to lack of ventilation and members having bad odours. Honestly don’t think it’s worth the membership, which is a shame because the equipment is great, functional and working well. The layout completely ruins it and makes everything redundant. I find it impossible to train there. Gym needs to be completely reconstructed. 1/10

Fantastic experience: my personal trainer joseph is really helpful and is constantly driving me and giving me motivation to keep pushing with my training. he is also a really good company while training. he constantly helps me strive to do the best i can every session while also showing and helping me with my posture while doing each excercize. i would definatly recomend him as a. pt to anyone looking for some help or motivation while in the gym

Negative experience: I use to love the gym but now I dislike it due to being discriminated , rude staff and not having the same facilities in the main room to the woman’s. Cheap isn’t always best as compared to belfry the staff and facilities are lovely. I was told to leave a LBT class although it was advertised as open to all but then was told it was ladies only after being asked if I was a male or female. I did receive an apology and a voucher to bring a friend but was more upset I wasted my time. The woman’s only section has better machines for legs such as stair master which cant be found in main room. The staff are 50/50 some are nice some are rude. Me and my gym partner was approached by a personal trainer and exchanged details but later told him I wouldn’t be needing one and was very unprofessional. The evening cleaner is rude as he told me to get out the gym room accompanied by a pt , instead of asking politely and then was told he doesn’t speak good English when I responded that he was rude and had no etiquette which he responded is he talking about me.

Negative experience: You have to wait literally 40 minutes for a treadmill in the ladies area. It’s crazy. There is 5 treadmills and 1 is always out of order leaving you with 4 treadmills to use , with over almost 10 ladies in the Que to use it. They need to bring in more treadmills for ladies area in the gym.

Positive experience: AC is never turned on in the early morning, on the odd time it is on. The main cardio area where AC is needed its turned off, makes no sense

Negative experience: It’s the worst gym I’ve ever been too. Wouldn’t go back if they paid me. Everyone stares at you constantly like weirdos. Members do not shower before coming to the gym. They stink so bad you cannot stand next to them. Worst hygiene levels ever

Positive experience: Been a member for the last 3 years, equipment and them maintenance of them is usually great so no issues. Good amount of dumbbells and benches. Inherently, most gyms during peak hours are busy however not at the rate which I have been used to in the last 3 years. Ventilation isn’t great causing a slight increase in difficulty when breathing under aerobic exercise. However, the smell is incredibly noticeable. Had I been a member in the last 2-3 months I would have given a 1 star rating.

Negative experience: 4 Recumbent Bikes top floor need fixing only 1 works well. Im paying just like all the others DD Why can't the equipment be used as when I need them. Not to mention other like treadmills proper faulty

Negative experience: The worst gym and the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They request a months notice to cancel a membership. After waiting almost 2 months after submitting a cancellation request they have continued to take payment to the point I’ve had to escalate the issue further with my bank. They have no contact number and don’t respond to emails.

Negative experience: Don’t waste your time, it is impossible to cancel your membership. Despite waiting 21 working days my membership has not been cancelled and no one has contacted me. They don’t have any customer support nor contact number. The gym is always packed. Go to pure gym snowhill instead

Negative experience: This gym has the potential to be a decent gym, but at the moment it’s awful and needs major attention by management and higher up. - Very limited instructors or gym classes -Pointless app, limited workouts on app, limited to none classes available -Equipment and stations forever broken, no assisted pull up station -Gym app doesn’t inform members how busy the gym is. You can turn up and over 200 people are there and limited stations available -Changing rooms have broken lockers and broken door handles in the shower with no locks - The entire gym app needs work as it’s lacking a lot of information -Lift has a terrible smell, the carpet needs to be removed throughout the entire gym The only good thing about this gym is the sauna and the cleaners to be honest.

Positive experience: It's a great gym with loads of equipment and friendly staff. Only drawback is the lazy people who don't put the dumbbells and weights back on the racks. Hoping staff pick up on this and do something to improve it.

Positive experience: This gym has all the equipments a gym freak would need. It’s just that the gym stinks and a little unorganised.

Negative experience: I was one of the original members of this gym, After two years away, I took advantage of the £10 a month offer. I should have not wasted my money. On the 3rd floor near the treadmills and stretching area there is this massive ventilation fan which makes it into an ice ring. When attempting to warm up and then follow up and stretch it is near enough impossible as you are trying to fight the freezing cold ventilation. Then in the neighbouring area on the 3rd floor it stinks of body Oder. Temperature in the gym has been a issue from when I first started and after how many years, they still have not resolved the issue Onto the free weight section. People did not put the dumbbells back that’s normal, but I have never seen it this bad where by not even one dumbbell is racked in the correct spot, I have to waste too much time trying to find the right dumbbell. Onto the cables, after two years how is there still not enough attachments for the cables, you have to run between the third floor and second floor on the hunt for handles. They do not have enough attachments PERIOD. It’s very disappointing as this is one of the first JD gyms in Birmingham and they have some plate loaded machines which rival if not better than top brand machines such as hammer strength. Disappointed on return and will be cancelling my membership

Negative experience: Disappointed with this gym. Bad customer service for sure. Been calling them to book an induction so I can take a look inside and see if I can train here but no. Left few voice messages on their call so someone can get back to me but no one bothered. Made the effort to pay them a visit so I can speak to someone face to face, read the signs to press the green bell so someone can help me but been ringing it and no one responded waited there for a good period of time. I guess I’ll go with Pure Gym then. 0ero stars from me mate. Have a good day!!

Negative experience: I first joined when they first opened but then transferred to West Bromwich cause of being 24hrs. Was getting bored so opened up my membership to give me a choice around running errands last year. The gym it's self is ok, has what is needed for a good workout if you look pass the worn out equipment. Most of the cross trainers have the grips sliding down. I bring my own ankle strap as this is something they have never replaced in here from day one. Compared to West Bromwich I personally prefer here due to the space being over 3 floors and just zone out. Staff are friendly and willing to help. Last week I tried out Oldbury, you can tell JD is all about open new but not investing in existing sites. Such a shame cause the price is the same. Time to sort themselves out! This gym is due an upgrade, giving back it's charm. The cleaniness on the workout floors is good but the toilets are questionable. I don't use the showers as I rather wait till I get home.

Negative experience: Nice gym but awful hygiene. There are no workers when you have a problem. The showers smell like the toilets so wear a mask if you ever join. Staff aren't very helpful and that's if you're lucky enough to ever see one. Stay away and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: A very highly respectful gym, in the ladies section they announce twice when a male is entering the ladies only area, I applaud the team for their consideration and respect. Equipment is good for women too

Positive experience: Generally a nice well equipped gym. Due to it being conveniently located near to the city centre, motorway/expressway and many local areas, it get really busy at times. Cant complain as I understand that’s the point of running a business, more customers means more money. The shower area is a big issue though. Everyone complains about the same thing, cold water, dirty floor and yellow staining inside every shower cubicle as well as a few of my own complaints. The walls of the cubicles always seem to have pubic hair from when they’ve hung their worn boxer shorts on the hook and also what can only be described as either bogeys or sperm. Either way, disgusting. Sauna, equipment and weights are good but hygiene is lacking. Maybe consider hiring 24 hour cleaning crew for a 24 hour gym. Expecting a response,,,

Positive experience: Some broken machines, missing weight pegs. Range of machines is great, there's 3 floors. 1 for women only and 2 for the every gender. Its very hot in summer which sucks. Need better air con. Overall a good gym.

Negative experience: I decided to join this gym as it was opened 24 hours but recently it’s becoming more and more obvious as to why I don’t want to continue working out here. 1.) Although the Gym is opened 24 hours, apparently the ladies only room is opened until 12AM? (It’s not 24 hours then is it?) Whilst me and a few other women were working out, a male cleaner walked in (no announcement was made) he didn’t even apologize and continued to move equipment around the room whilst Women were working out! One Woman expressed her anger at him (rightly so) and he was just running his mouth. She was a Muslim woman who felt very uncomfortable! I left the room and asked him why he wants us to leave the ladies only section and he stated it closes at 12AM and was so rude! 2.) The sauna is always off! 3.) The shower facilities are atrocious! 4.) Whenever I call the Gym, there’s never staff available to answer! 5.) Toilets are left in a horrible state! Either there’s no toilet roll available, or the whole toilet is blocked with a whole lot of Tissues (flush doesn’t work) Sorry for the TMI There’s plenty more reasons as to why this Gym is no longer suitable for me! But … The management really do need to get rid of staff who are the cause behind it’s bad reputation! (This Gym was once a very suitable place to workout for women)! A Male cleaner walking in without announcing his entry is bad practice! And no Woman should be made to feel uncomfortable at a Gym. If the Gym is opened 24 hours, then so should the ladies only section be opened 24 hours too! 1 star given and if I had the choice I wouldn’t even bother giving it any.

Negative experience: You call and leave voicemail. No one gets back. U want to pay but get advise too but service is poor. No staff around.

Positive experience: Gym is good at most times, great to visit between 10pm - 4pm to avoid the dirty changing rooms and toilets. People keep breaking equipment here also. West Brom location and Wolverhampton much better machines, facilities, environment.

Negative experience: I been coming this gym for about 8 years +, i havve seen the gradual deterioration of equipment and facilities, I had to make a multi gym becuse the sauna been out of service for at least two weeks, also when I phone I can't get through. Management need to sort it out and keep on top of things here. Compared to dudley gym which has the up to date equipement amd facilities its night and day IMO. As you can tell I'm not very satisfied with how this gym has gone down over the years. Hope the Management get on top of this as it is my local JD Gym dont want. To have to travel further away if not needed.

Fantastic experience: Selby the PT Dear Gym Management, I would like to commend Selby, one of your exceptional personal trainers, for consistently providing a positive and uplifting experience at the gym. Selbys cheerful and bubbly personality makes every interaction a pleasure, contributing significantly to the overall positive atmosphere. Overall the Managment and coaches are friendly and supportive.

Negative experience: Nice gym, but women section there is limited equipment like treadmill and many times some not working so its frustrating to wait add more treadmills plz.

Positive experience: Good gym, bring your own loo roll guys don’t get caught short

Negative experience: The free weight section is a mess, weights thrown everywhere, nothing put back its hard to find a pair of dumbells. Then some of the machines have tears in the leather which made it uncomfortable to workout on and every cable machine makes a terrible squeaky sound every time you lift it. for £22/ppm i expect a lot more. Ill be moving to thegymgroup.

Positive experience: yes there’s a ton of equipment and benches to go around, but there feels to be far less space compared to 1 or so years ago. Possibly due to a massive increase in gym users. Even at 11pm it’s packed out now

Positive experience: A great gym but they can improve with keeping the toilets open at night so gym users can use them. Great staff members that keep the gym as clean as possible however the toilets can be a mess most of the time they may need to hire another cleaner but I guess it is what it is, I’ve been to many 24hr gyms and I recommend JD Gyms rather then the other gyms. Everyone shows each other respect and people come to this gym from all over the place sometimes from different city’s! Got to be good if they come from so far!

Negative experience: Has the potential to be a nice gym as facilities are not badm However the cleaners can not keep on top of mess especially in ladies changing room and toilet. Totally off putting!

Negative experience: One of my worst experiences If you’re thinking of cancelling your contract they gonna charge you 36.90£ “for the last month with them” really you charging me just because I wanna Leave It takes months to start cancel too??? I’ll have to call the bank to stop it

Positive experience: Quite big and has a modern look. However it has typical commercial gym material which isn’t ideal for anyone serious.

Negative experience: Last few times I have been to the gym have not been good experiences. In the ladies gym there are 2 treadmills not working for a couple of weeks. One has a note to say out of order and other one does not. Classes don't run as per timetable . It definitely needs to be updated. I attended a class on the Saturday morning only to find out there is no class on there was no information to say if there will be a class or that it's cancelled. Need to see improvement in classes there isn't enough classes

Negative experience: Normally I would say this gym is actually pretty good. A huge free weights section, loads of equipment and a good location. But since I have returned from last week... it seems to have gone downhill. The fact that there is only 1 leg extension machine and that has been broken for almost 2 weeks, the missing punchbag has not been replaced and the sauna and shower facilities (speaking for the men's changing area) is filthy. It seems as if the current management doesn't really care. Being a big brand like JD, you would expect staff and management to be more proactive in maintaining the high standards that are the norm. Seriously considering changing my gym since the service and standard has gone so below it's usual expectations.

Fantastic experience: I think I left a negative review about there only being one treadmill working at one point-it’s only fair to do a positive one too- managements efforts are being noticed into improving ladies area- even the atmosphere in the ladies area is nicer and ladies are for once trying more workouts instead of hugging the treadmill - honestly great job with the new equipment - also I’m glad cleaning stations are still a thing even after covid #Mygymisbetterthanyours❤️

Negative experience: I’ve been coming JD for nearly two years and the environment is just uncomfortable due to poor cooling systems. There’s not enough air conditioners (just 1!!imagine?)on some floors and windows are all locked at all times as result it makes the place humid and unsafe to workout to the point that, on so many occasions I had to quit my sessions. Nice gym I love it but with no air conditioning unacceptable!!!

Positive experience: Switched from PureGym to JD GYM, facilities are good and the sauna is amazing. Highly Recommended. Would be 5, if changing room are accessible at night since I work till late night and am unable to go to the changing room shower and sauna etc.

Fantastic experience: Review of JD Gym Newtown - Manager Craig JD Gym Birmingham is a fantastic fitness facility, and I want to give a special shout-out to Manager Craig for his outstanding work. Positive experience: Been coming here for over 4 years, but the quality of classes and equipment have gone down hill. It's ok if you want to do a quick work out and there is an ladies only gym, shower and suna facilities. However, the equipment in the ladies section are often either broken and/or not replaced.

Fantastic experience: The gym is great but some of the members that attend this gym have no respect for the equipment bunch of broke people stealing clips and pins

Negative experience: Glad I was just a visitor, really odd layout, kit super old, such bad vibes I literally did one set and drove to the PureGym in the city centre.

Negative experience: Unethical conditions: they rarely have the AC on in the women’s section. I complained in person, and I also sent an email, unfortunately, I got no response. Highly heedless considering the hot weather conditions.

Negative experience: Started the gym and paid the months membership fee and when I cancelled the direct debit my app stopped working and I wasn't allowed access to the gym and I was only in 2 weeks from my 4 week membership so be aware you need to give them 30 days notice if you want to cancel the membership I paid the full membership just for 2 weeks access.Really disappointed as it says non contract membership so you should be able to cancel at anytime and complete the month you paid for.

Negative experience: So the women’s side closes at 12am so what’s the point of having a 24 hrs gym if the women’s side closes at 12 . No point saying your 24hrs . And plus there’a no equipment to use in the day as the women’s is under equipped and never anything to use which is why we choose to come late

Negative experience: Useless gym You better spend that money on non healthy meals than time to go to the gym most of machine are broken boring if you fat and want to lose weight well the good news is treadmill and cardio are beyond the expectations everything else is trash

Fantastic experience: Relatively cheap price. 24/7 is absolutely amazing. Sauna is on most of the day between 6:00 to 22:00. Massive weight section. Great daily gym.

Positive experience: Needs more variety of equipment like other jd gyms I've attended

Negative experience: The gym is OK but have never seen or met a member of staff. Have left countless messages on the answer machine trying to change my direct debit date but have never received a call back. Have emailed to make the change but still no response. Update: Tried to call the gym for a potential new member to have a lookround before committing but got no answer or response to my voicemails I left.through the week.Going on Saturday with them to look round hopefully a member of staff is in the building.

Positive experience: 9am Saturday Spin is amazing. Gym equipment is good too. I like training there it is my go to JD gym rather than the other sites.

Positive experience: It's such a great gym with plenty of facilities and great people to train with. But it's a shame as my constructive feedback to make the gym a better place for all wasn't taken into consideration / was ignored (some were Health and Safety concerns). I contacted JD Gyms via email and I was told that some of the issues addressed to them would be resolved, but they continued to occur. Due to this, I decided to leave. It's a shame as I really enjoyed it here, but I just did not feel heard.

Positive experience: When will you be sorting the Smith machine out in the women’s section?! It’s been like that for weeks on end. Surely it can’t take that long to have someone come fix/look at it. One of the leg extension machines has been out of order since 2022. The women’s section never seems to be cool enough like the air con isn’t on. But upstairs always is cool enough…. Women’s sauna smells dreadful. Never see out of order stuff upstairs…

Negative experience: Visited yesterday and far too many machines out of order in the ladies only section. Also multiple treadmills and the smith machine were not in working order (not pictured as I would have got other ladies in the picture).

Negative experience: 2 stars only because half of the machines in the ladies section are always out of order and won’t get fixed until few weeks/ months which is annoying because there’s already limited and few machines, which then leads to ladies queuing up for ages .

Negative experience: No staff available after 15 minute wait just to have a look around. Middle floor does not smell great.

Positive experience: Things are always broken. Good free weights room. Some of the equipment is separated by a floor, which can be annoying. For instance, the leg extension machine is on the yop floor, but the squat racks are on the floor below. Also, there is a tendency for broken machines to become broken more often than would be good, and stay broken longer than is ideal. On the whole, however, this is good value for money. One note is that while the gym is open 24 hours a day, the changing rooms and showers are not. They open at around 5 (no idea when they close).

Negative experience: Now a days I think no one looking after this gym. All the shower in male area not working cold water only… freezing cold… Need more attention…

Negative experience: In the women’s section there are treadmills that don’t work, bikes that have the footrest broken. This is unacceptable as we pay for a service!

Negative experience: Abysmal. The multi pass doesn't work so there were ppl trying to get in AND out. The showers were ice cold, no staff anywhere. Lack of equipment and a terrible layout

Negative experience: The only way to join this gym is after downloading app. The locker room and showers are inaccessible after a certain time which is inconvenient for a 24 hour gym. The place smells terrible

Positive experience: Although they say it's a 24 hour gym, they turn the sauna off at 10pm and also the showers become cold at the same time.
