Fantastic experience: Good courts and the badminton England tournaments are well organised with good parking facilities

Negative experience: The gym is quiet which can be nice but is far too small and limited for a £40 per month membership. I have quit after my first session and joined pure gym in Witney which is half the price for a far better equipped gym. The 10 minute drive to pure gym is definitely worth it to be able to have a complete work out. I would definitely recommend pure gym over this gym.

Negative experience: Very very bitter cold multi-sport Hall. No drinks or vending machine too. The nearest cafe is about a 10mins walk, not ideal on a very cold day. And cafes in this village are very expensive, selling a latte regular at £3.50. But people in the sports centre and the village are very very friendly and helpful. Great sports hall, wish they made it better by providing water and drinks facilities, a simple vending machine would have sorted the issue easily.

Negative experience: Ok place, but only one squat rack. It doesn't matter that it's quiet if the three people in there all want to use the squat rack. Literally can't do my workout without it, so will have to quit.

Fantastic experience: I look forward to attending the varied classes and enjoy the workouts. From circuits, total body conditioning, box fit, power pump and more. The staff are professional, approachable, friendly, helpful and totally committed in helping you reach your goals. The gym is small, compact and has everything you need for a total body workout. I am making positive changes and feel great for it. Thank you !!

Positive experience: The sports hall is massive with many uses but the gym is a bit on the small size although this can be good for new gym members

Positive experience: I was very reluctant to write this review but felt I owed it to my fellow gym goers. I have to say I was somewhat perturbed by the fact that when I was last there (a few days ago), there were NO staff members in the gym at all and no other members so I was getting all sweaty on my own! That's fine but what if I'd had a fall or heart-attack - I would have been left there to snuff it on my own or cry out in pain and Better would be held liable I would have thought?! This is simply not good enough - at every other gym I've been to (Council run OR private), there has always been at least 1 member of staff on duty in the gym. I know it's a very small gym (it's in a village location) but Better should really get their act together and ensure that there is a staff member in the gym at all times - there are no cameras either as it's attached to a school. Other than that, the staff are very friendly, the gym is quite small but has all the required equipment. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and I've not come across any posers yet!! I do like it but I'm just alarmed at the lack of staffing - even when the gym is not being covered by staff from another gym, there have been occasions when no staff members have been in the gym! I guess if there's at least another member there, then it's not to bad but I was completely alone - I could have got up to anything!!! :-)
