Negative experience: Air conditions were so cold and caused me sick

Negative experience: Watch out thieves about! I used the gym for the first time in 2 years, was supposed to have an induction but the lady didn't turn up so I went to use the gym instead. Put my phone down for 10 mins, came back and it was gone. This was on the exercise bike. Staff weren't much help, said they'd check the CCTV, checked in a week later and they still hadn't checked it. Gym equipment is okay but doesn't matter if you don't feel safe there.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been swimming for over 20 years and was basically told by my wife i was going. Lol. I turned up at Central Baths with new shorts in hand and went in. At reception, i paid my £4 and a very helpful lady directed me through the entering procedure. I went into the changing rooms, got sorted, and locked my clothes away in the lockers. Strapped the key to my wrist and went poolside. There were a handful of people in the actual pool. Great atmosphere, and after a couple of hours, i got out. The pool was a lovely temperature, and the life guards were very observant. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the pool and will be going again. I have since found out that over 60's are tenner a month. Absolute bargain.

Negative experience: The behavior of Indian women is disgusting, they block the pool, they stand and talk in the middle of the pool, they do not swim, and they walk naked in changing room in front of the children.

Positive experience: I am getting fed up of this place and am thinking of cancelling my membership!! The staff are nice and the cleaning lady with blonde hair but whenever I want to use the gym it's usually full, like today - couldn't get on any of the equipment and two silly girls kept on staring at me so I ended up coming home!! The changing room is annoying also, one woman kept on talking at the top of her voice, some women have no respect to think of others peace and quiet and only go there to gossip and bicker!! I don't want to hear their business and they make so much noise - banging and crashing things, wherever you walk someone walks into you and I like a peaceful shower after swimming but weird ladies keep on staring at you and watching you, are they insane? Or very rude or gay so I am not going back!! I don't want crazy people watching me when I want to exercise thankyou very much!!

Positive experience: Great new gym facilities, pools great for lane swimming if you get the right times. Can get a bit crowded

Negative experience: I was disgusted yesterday afternoon around 5pm! 2 Grown adult women should have respect and be thoughtful around young girls! After my daughter finished her swimming lesson, the showers were full, there were 2 women and 2 children. 1 woman was naked while gas bagging with the other women, they could clearly see my young daughter waiting to have a quick shower! They kept looking at her and just carried on talking, 7 minutes went by and they were STILL showering thinking they are at home! My daughter was getting upset so i angrily quickly dried her and left! I am disgusted and angry at the behaviour of these ignorant selfish women! I am also disgusted that a woman is completely naked infront of children, if it was a man it would be a different story! The staff should leave a notice to let children shower first! My daughter only has a quick rinse! They took so long! Grow up and have some respect!

Positive experience: Swimming at WV Active Central has been consistently enjoyable. The pool facilities are well-maintained and offer a pleasant atmosphere for swimming laps or leisurely dips. The water quality is good, and the temperature is comfortable. The staff are generally helpful and ensure a safe environment. The only downside is that during peak hours, the pool can get a bit crowded, but overall, it's a great place to swim and stay active.

Fantastic experience: Clean and new machines for a quick workout. Pool area is also great, only downside is that the steaming room is out of service without any indication when it will be fixed. Still 5 starts as the overall experience is great. Oh and really friendly staff memebers

Negative experience: Today at around 6.00 pm I went to the Central WV Active Centre, Wolverhampton to enquire about the Swiming and Gym classes. The reception lady was in very much hurry and behaved very rude with me. She even made allegations that I was recording her while I was actually surfing the WV website to pay the subscription for swimming. It was extremely extremely disappointing the way reception lady behaved with me. And without doing anything wrong I had to digest that insult and humiliation. And because of that reason I dropped the plan to join Central WV Active Centre, Wolverhampton. Never ever recommended!

Negative experience: Gym is nice since updated but some of the staff attitude is not very nice

Fantastic experience: Great new gym equipment with a more full and modern range than it used to have. Pool is getting on a bit, but it is cool which is great for lengths and is quite well looked after, not much room if you’re planning to do classes there, but for the price, you get loads for a low monthly fee.

Fantastic experience: Great place to workout and swim haven't been for a few weeks I'm just starting back. Lots of parking easy accessible.

Fantastic experience: I went back here for the first time in years and had a good visit. I managed to park on the road outside - free but two hours max stay - enough for a swim & it looked like there was a tablet at reception to enter car registrations for the car park. The lockers are now £1 which is returned after use, I hated losing 20p every time with the old lockers. There is plenty of space at the end of the pool to leave belongings too which lots of people were doing. The place was clean, the receptionist was helpful, the pool was big and not busy on a weekday morning & it was quiet and pleasant. The water was quite cold but I soon warmed up. The steam room was out of use and the gym is closed for refurbishment at the moment. Highly recommended & it's well located next to the city centre and west park!

Negative experience: Place looks filthy and dated, steam room close for months and nothing is done. Staff ok.

Negative experience: An Asian woman on reception showed ego and attitude. Didn't like the way she served us. I can't remember her name.

Fantastic experience: Great gym equipped with modern machines

Positive experience: Can staff do a risk assessment on the women's showers? Some of the showers are really hot when you first put them on...not thinking of self but for small children. Secondly, the car park machine, would be more sensible where it can be seen when first come in, not round the corner and forget to type in reg plate. Atleast put up a notice!

Positive experience: Great gym and pool , not too busy day time

Positive experience: The pool and gym are okay however as an outsider I was minding my business and noticed how rude and unhelpful the blonde life guard women is. She was constantly moaning at the teenagers for splashing and talking on her walkie talkie and laughing to another colleague about people

Negative experience: Life guards are rude and unhelpful. They don’t appear to be attentive and create a very unwelcoming environment during the session. During the women’s sessions often only male lifeguards are present, which is clearly defeating the purpose of a women’s only space. This issue alongside with the pool amenities/cleanliness make the £4 payment unreasonable.

Positive experience: They have a nice facility.

Negative experience: After lots of hussle, requesting and petitioning after Covid, ladies sessions were finally back, since last year. However, girls under 16 are not welcome as it's ladies only, and not female only session. Really? Seems like a words lottery! And the managers really took pleasure in pointing out all these months that it was ladies, and not female only, wth?! Again, more hussle and more petitioning, and I've been calling to check for a good few months if the policy or the wording has changed, still being told that the managers are looking at it and reviewing, and to call back this time next week. How many more months will it take again, before I can go for a swim with my now 15 years old daughter?! Totally unnecessary restriction. Ridiculous!

Negative experience: I went back swimming last week,after not being for awhile.I felt something on my upper arm It was a sanitary product.I got to the end of the pool and told the lifeguard.They tried to locate it,they spotted it and couldn't reach it from the poolside So I scooped it out with net.There was no apology,only one of the lifeguards,thanked me. It is closer than Bert Williams for me.I has really put me off going there again.

Positive experience: Massive 25 metre pool. Mostly very well run. A little outdated changing rooms and could do with upgrading there showers there useless.

Fantastic experience: A great gym, however there is limited free weights due to size. Personally I find the cable machine as the go to, but there is a compact Smith machine and a few leg machines which is enough for many.

Negative experience: Staffs were really rude in swimming pool area & not helpful either. Got new membership but no guidance at all when we needed help unless being rude and not pleasant at all. Not flexible at all. The pool was huge, clean and have got privacy.

Positive experience: It's a nice place to work out but it is not packed in terms of work out equipments like a modern gym. The swimming pool is a big plus. There are plans to refurbish the gym, that will be fantastic. Customer care is good.

Negative experience: Going more down hill , no equipment is being fixed along with never bothering to sort the sauna or steam room so there's no appeal that way either it's a shame

Positive experience: Love it here. For £20 a month you can use all the facilities, but I'm waiting for the steam room to be repaired.

Positive experience: Tend to try and go at least three times a week, changing rooms always clean and tidy, only one gripe wish the pool was a little warmer, I know it costs a lot to improve this service, but when water cold it is a shock to system and after doing at least 40 lengths have to come out as felling cold.

Positive experience: a bit disappointed how the fast lane is managed in the pool. I would usually do an 80 length swim in about an hour. this morning got out after 16. it was impossible to swim and get going. overall I do like central baths though. its a great community hub.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Central and Bert Williams wv active for over two years now the staff are always really friendly and the baths are really clean and I love the steam room at Central its such a great way of making new friends and relaxing after a work out

Positive experience: Good facilities, pool at a good temp, so was the steam room, good changing rooms and cleanliness

Fantastic experience: I go here around 3 times a week during the day. Mix of busy and quieter times. Occasionally women seem to have a meetup and talk in middle of pool ,but most go to swim not catch up . It's a refundable £1 for locker now but can keep bags on poolside. Hairdryer I think is 20p. No vending or drink machine I don't think. Seating for spectators and you can join swim tag to monitor your progress. Clean facilities, friendly staff. Every other weekend is Gala swimming so closed to general public advertised on website.

Positive experience: We went to use the pool. Big space with nice facilities including a pool, a sauna and a gym. I had a really chill and relaxing time there. It was a little busy in the pool with the number of people there, but overall, a good experience.

Positive experience: Good gym and swimming, very reasonable price for membership in comparison to other places. Could be improved and slightly updated e.g. lockers which I think is in progress and some music in the pool and changing areas would be highly appreciated.

Positive experience: It's ok if you go at the right time if you just want a swim. Gets quite busy and there is no separate pool for children. Pool is a nice temperature so not too cold! There is a gym but have not seen or used it. If you are going to use the pool more than twice a week I advise on paying for monthly membership.

Fantastic experience: Gym is a small place but clean but note terrible Radio One is on all the time. Treadmill, steppers and bikes in another area overlooking the swimming pool. Staff are very welcoming and supportive.

Positive experience: Lovely place, always clean. But the pool is cold as are the changing rooms.

Positive experience: Pool here is adequate, usually fairly busy but there are some quieter times. What I find frustrating are things like paying 20p for lockers that half the time swallow your money. Sometimes they'll replace the money and put the locker out of order, other times they bite your head off for daring to ask for your 20p back?! Or being told off by a life guard when you're in an empty lane for swimming in the middle of it, yet when it's busy and someone in your lane does so, or gets in a lane that isn't appropriate disrupting everyone else's swim, they sit there just watching waiting for some drama to unfold.

Fantastic experience: Today I just went in to get some answers and see the place and that's exactly what I got. Friendly staff ready to help, great equipment, all is adapted to social distance and there are disinfection stations available at each studio. Will definitely be going back, but next time I'll be making use of it.

Negative experience: I am concern about the steam room at WV Active Centrel, there is a smell of mould inside the steam room. Yes, I have used it three times, I had to use a bit of vicks to mass the small. But over the pass weeks am thinking, what is that moulding smell doing to my lungs breathing it in???. I have never been to a steam room that smells of mould!!!. Is it healthy to smell mould and in-hale it???

Fantastic experience: Both gym and swimming pool facilities are good and plenty of space in the car park. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for affordable gym and swimming pool in the city of Wolverhampton.

Negative experience: Nice pool but the problem is with changing room. There is a lot of naked people so I wouldn't recommend this place for parents with kids. This is disgusting that staff don't care about it!

Positive experience: Tired pool with limited parking. Skip the coffee shop (unless you want instant coffee or tea) as there is a much better one in the park. If you need to park, you'll probably find it easier to park in one of the free spaces around the park.

Positive experience: No vending machines were working, for an event that lasted all weekend.

Positive experience: Good value for money however my daughters badges were not verified by teacher for 2+ weeks which was disappointing for all of us.

Positive experience: Decent pool which has both lane and public swimming sessions but be careful as the website and Facebook page both have the wrong opening time for Monday. It's says from 7am but it's actually 7.30am. Also hand paddles and centre mounted snorkels aren't allowed and you have to provide your own floats at the moment. The adult swimming classes are £5.50 and you have to book with reception but you can do as many or as few classes as you want which is good.

Negative experience: Atrocious customer service from the blonde receptionist who seems to care more about her ridiculous eyebrows than paying customers. She really is in the wrong job and should be kept as far away from paying customers as possible!
