Positive experience: Great but bit worn down.

Fantastic experience: Decent gym. Gutted the ladies gym will be permanently closed after 31.05.24. It's much more spacious than the one at the aquatics centre. Air con is spot on in the summer too. It will be missed.

Negative experience: Only car park. Spare for new swiminpool if any events are organised.

Negative experience: Don’t go here expensive and the roof leaks when it’s raining.

Positive experience: OK place in need of modernisation

Fantastic experience: 50 years of using this leisure centre and some great memories made, highlight being playing Badminton on my wedding day against my brother. Great staff over the years - Barry, John, Steve, Tracy and Brent. Always friendly and helpful. Other than the usual problem of the leaking roof, it's a great venue.

Positive experience: Dated leisure centre

Negative experience: The staff and other services/facilities are fine but the squash courts are an absolute wreck! One court isn't even usable and the balcony to spectate is closed off too and it's been like this for months. Absolute mess compared to Haden Hill and Tipton Sports Academy, with no signs it'll be repaired any time soon.

Positive experience: It's not too bad of a place, plenty of parking. However, need the roof fixing! Always leaking and it's damaging the floor.

Negative experience: Decent place to play Badminton but the roof leaks and if it leaks to much on your court they will tell you to leave, should really fix the leaking roof.

Positive experience: If you are looking for state of the art facilities then its not for you because its a bit old

Fantastic experience: A Great sports centre in the locality

Positive experience: Parking is good. Court flooring is above average. The 1st court is good but less height and the mini court is pretty small and the lights are not upto standard.

Negative experience: Customer service is absolutely terrible. I would highly recommend those who wish to the facilities at harry mitchel to look elsewhere as there are better leisure centres at which the employees respect the customers and make them feel welcomed. Tremendously disappointed as if I where asked a few weeks ago my rating of the establishment, I would have spoken about them in high regard

Fantastic experience: Great staff, some good equipment. Will clearly be great when the new facilities are open.

Negative experience: Reduced hours Monday - Friday 5.00 pm - 9.00 pm Saturdays and Sundays closed what's the point keeping it opened. I remember years ago when people use to bring their dogs for these dogs competitions use to stink very bad.

Negative experience: I've given it 2 star as compared to other gyms it is very expensive. They need to be in line with other gyms and bring in more equipment. Otherwise not a bad gym.

Positive experience: Great sports hall for wheel chair basketball, roller derby and badminton. And room for table tennis. Friendly staff. Ample easy parking ... Not 5* doesn't have basketball hoops, only book things 7 days in advance, no email confirmation of booking and no air con and heating is on all the time

Fantastic experience: Very nice gym, with a wide variety of facilities and activities available . The staff here are also exceptionally nice and more than willing to help you with any questions or queries. There are a variety of halls and gyms that allow you to keep fit and enjoy yourself. The parking here is also free and there is plenty of space.

Negative experience: Ladies gym is not worth the price. I joined due to the fact that it's close by to my house and was convenient. After closing the gym for over two weeks in December (time of my membership that I still had to pay for), I came back to discover they did not repair the heating - the main reason why they shut down in the first place. The entire ladies gym (which consists of 2 small rooms and very basic equipment) is now absolutely freezing. Those are not appropriate conditions for any workout and they now refuse to let me cancel my membership without paying for another 10 months.

Negative experience: Not much going on in this place. Need a major refurbished. They have Olympic weightlifting club and they charge £30per month for coaching or £10/session.

Positive experience: Not the best place due to its age, poor lighting, inconvenient noisey doors leading into the main hall and allowing people to walk through and dated layout. The low metal trusses, old boxing ring lamps, and low ducting make playing badminton difficult. Lack of improvements over the years will lead to it's ultimate closure. Why 3 stars well if you want a good game with people that love badminton the surroundings are something that are overcome.
