Fantastic experience: Lovely gym but the 5* is really for the gorgeous gal Aoife who works here for her exceptional customer service! Brightened up my mood on my last visit. The gym always makes me feel good, but it’s always the people that’ll make a difference, give this girl a raise/promotion! Thank you!
Negative experience: Been a member here 6-7 years. How they have the cheek to ask for £5 for a new plastic card to swipe in is beyond me. I pay nearly £100 a month and they can’t spare a little piece of plastic that literally takes them a minute to load up with details to give you. Sort it out!
Fantastic experience: This gym truly deserves 5 stars! It’s an incredible place to not only work out but also relax and recharge. The trainers are highly knowledgeable and passionate about helping members achieve their goals, making every session feel rewarding. The spa area, with its pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi, is perfect for unwinding after a workout. The staff are always welcoming and kind, creating a warm atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Positive experience: Good gym. Good atmosphere. Pool is pretty but not functional for length training, it's small and very slow. Spin class are only during work hours in the week, no early morning, evening or weekend, so inaccessible. Would expect more for the price, but overall good atmosphere and decently equipped. Could def do with more space, benches and weights in the dumbbell section. I've had better value and facilities at previous leisure centre.
Fantastic experience: Overall it is a great experience and love to go there every day. I will appreciate the cleanliness, facilities, equipment availability and the venue.
Negative experience: I cancelled my membership at the end of August in person at reception, but despite this, I was still charged in full for the following month. Over the past 10 days, I have attempted multiple times to resolve this issue by calling reception, leaving two voice mails, and emailing the sales representative, Hannah, who has yet to respond with an update or explanation. In addition to the billing issue, I had concerns about the overall service quality and cleanliness at the gym and pool, which influenced my decision to leave. While the pool itself is a nice feature, the lifeguards appeared inexperienced and inattentive. Furthermore, the atmosphere of the facility, despite being set in a unique location, doesn't compensate for the poor processes, lack of professional staff, and limited bar hours on weekends. The ongoing price increases do not seem justified given these issues. I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration for future improvements
Fantastic experience: I have been a member at Virgin Active’s gym at Repon Park for several years. Aside from the spectacular surroundings and in particular the pool and spa the staff are very friendly and helpful. I also have weekly Personal Training Sessions which are tailored to my goals and my personal trainer is highly professional in his approach and a great motivator..

Positive experience: I mainly go to aqua classes and Claudia's in particular are brilliant. What I do nt like is the fact that instructors cant choose own music and the virgin music does not go will with aqua at all
Fantastic experience: Just left David Lloyd Chigwell and repton park is a million times better. More evening classes, nice friendly instructors, good vibe in the club and a lads only dry spa!!!!!
Negative experience: I Worked Here As A Personal Trainer Previously. As an employee, I saw all of the scandals that went on in this gym and would advise all members to be very careful of sharing personal information with staff, and DEFINITELY AVOID any Personal Training Scams. Staff would constantly moan and discuss confidential matters about other members of staff, mocking them, not only that members would be subject to ridicule in the office. Chloe Reynolds, who was the line manager would employ devious sales tactics to rope those who were vulnerable into purchasing PT packages up front, particularly those who were vulnerable and elderly. She would also inform PT's to prolong actually helping clients, so that they could opt into being lifelong clients. More money focussed than results focus. There are also many incidents of bullying within this club. Oh yeah and fake reviews, if you scroll back you can see a review from someone who worked in membership sales - Katie Dulieu.
Positive experience: The positives: recently installed new equipment which was long overdue, and a nice new cafe. The swimming pool is gorgeous. The negatives: recent price increase seems extortionate. The changing rooms are disgusting and the lockers in particular need replacing. The showers are covered in mould and smell of damp.
Fantastic experience: Been a member here for several years. The recent upgrade of equipment has been a game changer. I had often contemplated leaving and joining elsewhere, but the new layout and modernised machines have made the whole gym experience a lot more enjoyable. Recording workouts on the Technogym app and syncing with Apple fitness has added a whole new way of monitoring one’s progress. Can’t recommend it enough
Negative experience: Steam is terrible, no fresh water available with cups how it use to and squash
Positive experience: The most stunning gym - especially the swimming pool and gym. Special shoutout to Lisa at Reception. My car once got a flat tire and she went above and beyond making sure I was okay and staying with me till after gym closure to ensure I am safe. Genuine staff like Lisa makes the experience even more amazing! Only reason for 4* is that instructors are amazing but don’t seem to be prioritised by management according to feedback, and studio room where classes are help can do with an upgrade in comparison to all the other amazing spaces. But overall I love this place!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym over 6 months now. It’s been a perfect gym. All the machines have been changed during this time and the spa area is so nice. Also they’ve upgraded the app and when you go to the gym 2-3 times a week you can get a free drink which is amazing.
Fantastic experience: I am from the United States and when I come over I am just so excited to be here for 2 or 3 months. The manager recognized me from 1 year ago so that makes me feel so welcome. Thew beautiful pool area and everyone so far has been so nice to me and helpful.
Positive experience: I love the place. It's very atmospheric, people are friendly and helpful. 4 out of 5 stars as they don't have the internet around the swimming pool. If I want to practice things I see on the Internet I can't do it here.
Fantastic experience: Viegin active, AKA millionaires gym. Is a Very classy gym amd Spa. Latest equipment that actually works. Clean spotless throughout. Sauna and steam room and swimming pool. Body pump classes for motivation. You won't find a better gym. Only down draw is the prices. They are high. But it keeps the tramps out.

Negative experience: For someone who is unable to go to the gym/swimming pool on a daily basis is due to work, the fee is far too expensive & with no pay-as-you go choice this place is out of the question. A real shame memberships seem to be taking over & taking away the chance to enjoy a one off day out every now & then at the swimming pool & spa

We do not offer pay as you go fee, however if you know any existing members and would like to visit you can always attend with them. Alternatively we offer flexible memberships such as monthly or 3 month contracts for members give us a call us on 0207 717 9000 and speak to one of the team.
Negative experience: Tried joining and calling for more info. I'm on hold for over 10 minutes when they said estimate waiting time is 3 minutes, even now I'm on hold. Terrible service, I had time to view the reviews and by the looks of it, I should never have left David lloyds. Over charging for what reason when your facilities are not to £100 a month standards. Regardless of refurbishments you should be compensating members and new members such as myself to these disadvantages.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym. The equipment in the gym is brand new. The staff are super friendly. Parking is a godsend. There is a brand new cafe that sells protein shakes wraps and hotdrinks amongst other items. The swimming pool is gorgeous. Love love love.

Negative experience: Been a member for nearly 2 years and the new equipment was well overdue. Finally some good equipment and better classes. Repton park never really caters(ed) for younger adults in terms of classes… there are the odd HIIT classes. New S&C class are great by Kate specifically - Kate is amazing and pushes you to the same extent as the classes in London. Repton park will need to work on increasing these type of classes and holding on to good PTs! We need more classes during lunchtimes / weekends! Because of the new refurbishment they must have moved up a tier which is higher than my home club on Strand in London. I don’t understand how it can be higher than Strand as there are way more classes and the shower facilities are much nicer?! This was shocking. The variety of equipment is much better too! Went to Repton today and my card did not register and was not informed that it moved a tier up via email or on my app before I went there….(?) penalised for ‘not attending’ a class too.. even though the lady at reception was lovely and did allow me in. Can you let me know how Repton is now classified higher than the strand gym?

Negative experience: Facilities not working or in poor condition gym equipment dated and extremely limited. Ignored or fobbed off by staff and membership team. Do not recommend in the slightest to anybody there’s plenty of other better gyms out there.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with Repton Park Virgin Active. We joined with my husband last year in March 2023. We only wanted to use the spa pool, sauna and steam room. Unfortunately the steam room has never worked properly throughout the whole year I have been there. I was given many excuses, ‘not everyone likes a lot of steam’, ‘it’s up for repair in the next month’ and ‘we are monitoring the steam to see when it drops’. Throughout the year the cold shower kept breaking and we would find the spa pool closed. I went away in November only to find when I came back that the shower by the spa pool would be closed the whole of December for refurbishment. This meant it was no use going, as to use the sauna and spa pool we would need to shower in between. In January I did not go, I went back in February only to find the spa pool was closed again! This time the reason given was ‘it had too much chlorine in it’. Well I went to cancel my membership when I went to leave. Only to be to be told I had to phone to do this! I asked if I could do this on the app but no I had to call. To be fair when I did call the guy was very polite and cancelled our membership without fuss. The place is set in a beautiful church but unfortunately not kept in working order. Staff were always good and polite. Very disappointing and costly experience. Never again so do not recommend.

Negative experience: This place has gone downhill the lack of exercise classes and last minute cancellation’s without prior notice! The cleanliness in the women’s changing rooms and toilets are smelly and disgusting toilets not flushing properly and no cleaner in sight! Looks like they have left! Since Savita has left the Pilates Barre is so boring and not challenging and boring. This person has not been replaced leaving a lot of gaps in between classes! Virgin need to sort these issues quick also people taking up two spaces in the Car Park because of their posh cars is another issue. Please sort this out as a lot of members are not happy and will end up leaving.

Negative experience: Decided to go to my local Virgin gym over the weekend, only it discover that all of the equipment had been removed. Surprised not to have been warned about it in advance, and it seems equipment won't be available for several more days.

Negative experience: I joined this gym last year in August, it’s expensive and I was definitely expecting more. The closure of the sauna etc for a month, soon the gym will be refurbished and members unable to use it and you can never get a booking for the classes you want. I’ve been a member of gyms where I’ve paid a quarter of what I pay here and the gym equipment etc has been consistent. Virgin Active repton park needs to up its game and I suggest anyone thinking of joining, go somewhere else. Unfortunately, I am stuck in a years contract but once I am able I will be cancelling my membership - absolute waste of money! Shambolic!

Positive experience: Used to be alright, but as of late, the facilities here have gone down the drain. The last straw was a ‘cheerful’ email describing how the swimming pool and spa (sauna and steam room) would be completely closed for “construction” for the entirety of December. Given that this is one of the coldest months and the one where most people use the sauna, I immediately cancelled my subscription. Because it’s basically just a… glorified gym? Don’t get me wrong, the staff are amazing, just a shame the way management have let things fall apart. Last time I checked the app, the gym was 13% full on a workday at 5pm (one of the busiest times in the past). Unless you’re getting a discount on the price, it’s not worth the money. Thinking Virgin Active? Think again.

Positive experience: I have been a member here for nearly 3 years. I couldn't start this review without mentioning the staff who are excellent and provide a consistently great service. However, the facilities and equipment is really lacking, especially given the premium members pay. The steam room and showers are constantly out of service, it is really frustrating as we don't get any refunds when these things happen and its happens very often! Message to management: please properly invest in the equipment and facilities, these repeated small repair jobs are clearly not fixing the actual issues. The steam room has been out of service 5 times in the last few months.

Negative experience: I cannot wait until January when I can get out of this awful contract. In the summer there is no air con in the changing rooms and no hot water -.... fast forward to winter Air con in the changing rooms and no hot water!! Back in June you had no hot water on almost a daily basis so I had to go to the office on each of those days after a work out unable to wash. Not acceptable. I stopped visiting over the summer months as got sick of the lack of hot water and the lack of air con in the changing facilities. I have been back a few weeks and already I find the hot water or lack of is still an issue. You were having daily issues with this back in the spring WHY is this not fixed as we approach the Winter??? I chose this gym over a £35.00 Everyone Active as you offer air con, hot showers, morning classes, foundations classes yet you have failed to deliver on all. Please also note there is a smashed floor tile in the ladies chaging rooms that has been taped over since May, plus rather than removing a broken hairdryer you have covered it with a shower cap how is that safe?? - What are you doing with our membership fee's as it is clearly not going on maintance or basic upkeep? Terrible gym - I have been robbed of my money the past year huge mistake opting for the year contract.

Negative experience: The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! However, the facilities in the gym are seriously lacking for the price! Gym floor is too small and is lacking in quantity of machines (and some machines are often broken weeks on ends). Despite the stunning church in which the spa area is located, the facilities there are continuously broken - the cold shower is the spa area has been broken for over a month. Think the price of the membership of this Virgin Active should dramatically decrease as it is currently not worth the price.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with the gym facilities. The steam room is always cold and dry without any steam, and the gym equipment is old with limited equipment for weight training. I have to deal with cold showers every time I go there, and the showers next to the jacuzzi has been broken for weeks, so people coming out of the sauna sweating are jumping straight into the pool which is very unhygienic. This is unacceptable for a gym that charges so much.

Negative experience: Went for a club visit before purchasing membership - really glad I visited beforehand. For the price they’re charging, there needs to be serious improvements. A cafe which closes at 1pm on weekends, 2 broken showers, a room where the bikes are for spin classes the size of a box room, broken tiles which have been covered over obviously by cement in the pool area, broken air conditioning and an extremely small gym floor. I’d hate to be here during peak time, I can imagine there’s sometimes a large wait for basic equipments such as treadmills. I personally wouldn’t pay nearly £200 a month for this gym, which is the price they gave me for both me & my partner. Either lower your membership price at Repton Park or make detrimental improvements.

Negative experience: Me and my girlfriend had a tour of repton club and left us sitting for around 15 minutes before I had to approach a staff member. (Soffy) the staff member showed us around and then when walking through the changing rooms made a remark to my girlfriend that she wasn't happy with and we are both quite offeneded. When I tried to call virgin central I was cut off twice and the third time no one could help me. I was thinking about joining but after all this I am going to join David Lloyd as they are so more professional and friendly I wouldn't give this club 1 star but 8 had to to write this review.

Fantastic experience: My experience of Virgin Active Repton Park has always been a very positive one. The building where it is situated is in lovely grounds and the building itself is beautiful. The staff and management have always been very friendly, professional and willing to help. The facilities especially, are always well kept, clean and looked after. The jacuzzi, sauna, steam and pool area is really lovely and always been well looked after. Because of the wonderful building it’s in, the highlight for me is sitting in the jacuzzi, especially on a sunny day and seeing the sun shine through the windows. Very relaxing. There is also a varied range of different classes for different levels and a good gym. Thank you to all the staff who’ve made me feel very welcome at Repton. I would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: I think it's a shame that people only seem to be bothered to leave poor reviews instead of respecting the staff and the good work that goes on at Virgin Repton Park. The gym is a converted chapel and opened in 2001. Like many major conversions with a string of owners over more than two decades, backlog maintenance has undoubtedly been neglected and this has certainly become more and more evident since Virgin has been in ownership of the Repton Park gym. I have been a member since autumn 2001 and, like many others, have watched changes both to the physical standards, the staff and how the gym is resourced. Paradise doesn't exist unfortunately but the team who work there do their very best for the members under sometimes quite difficult circumstances and I am grateful for them coming to work and continuing to do so. Recruitment and retention of good people is really hard these days and the hours the gym is open involves shift work and no option to work from home etc. It's about time people started appreciating what we get, understanding what is completely out of the control of the Virgin team at Repton Park (probably a considerable amount) rather than endlessly complaining. The head office team were on site yesterday and they were promising improvements I understand. If we can have good communication about what's going on and what we can look forward to, that will be great. A special thank you to the facilities management team who have been formed to take over from Alvin and have enormous challenges now and in the future to get the building and its equipment back up to the standards required on probably very little knowledge from the original contractors who did the conversion.

Negative experience: Cold shower outside the sauna hasn't been working for weeks. Hot water for the showers often not working. Now the sauna and the steam room aren't working. It's usually one thing or the other. Pay £120 a month but the facilities that we pay for never work. Staff are nice though.

Negative experience: I have been a member of this gym for a number of years and I am truly disappointed with the upkeep of the facilities. The shower by the pool is still not working and it has been over a month. I contacted the "Customer Experience Team" and that was also a joke. It took 3 days for them to reply to a simple email and to make it worse, they do not have a timeframe for resolution and simply referred it back to "Operations" at Repton park. To say I am disappointed does not even come close. Anyone who is looking to join, steer clear of the duck tape holding the mats together by the benches.

Positive experience: I like that towels are available and the jacuzzi is nice. the changing rooms are mostly clean; the cleaners do a good job. any uncleanness observed is due to the other gym users (e.g. snot on the doors in the showers). However, the classes are very limited and old fashioned, particularly for such an expensive gym. I also understand that many of the existing instructors are leaving due to poor treatment by management. The equipment is old and often broken. there are not enough of the popular machines and there are no stairmasters.

Negative experience: Poolside shower was out of use with no communication on the issue or when it’s going to be resolved. Asked a lifeguard regarding the issue, he wasn’t aware that it was even out of use. Upon leaving, I asked to speak to management and Pete Martin was called to speak to me. He was aware of the issue and it didn’t bother him that multiple members were leaving the steam & sauna rooms dripping in sweat then jumping straight into the swimming pool & hydra pool. He never once offered an apology for the issue nor gave any information on the fix/issue. This is meant to be a health club, and the management do not seem bothered. Update: It has been over 2 weeks and no one has called me as promised within 72hrs. Which proves my above claim that management are not bothered.

Negative experience: Repton park is now becoming a joke. The now have started closing the steam and sauna at 9.30pm. So that their school children life guards can be home in time. Why do members have to sacrifice their time just because you cannot give a proper wage to an adult to be a life guard. Why are u employing school children as life guards which probably cost you half the minimum wage. And would a 17 year old be able to cope if someone was drowning and be strong enough. Go back to original closing time to 10pm and give a proper wage to an adult. Don’t use cheap labour.

Negative experience: This gym has gone downhill. There are always issues with the spa. The steam room does not work most of the time and always some sort of issue. I have raised a number of complaints but they have never been acknowledged. Very disappointing for a gym with the Virgin brand. I would expect much more.

Positive experience: Edit (April 2024, rating from 2* to 4*): The gym has been fully refurbished and now what you expect a gym to look like when you are paying this much... Great range of machines... However, the customers are still the same, not putting weights back etc. There needs to be more stringent rules about this as it ruins the gym... Also, it can get incredibly busy... The gym closes at 10pm and they would let you work out right until closing but now they kick you out at 9.45pm - I think this place would be much better if they'd close 1hr later than the current times... Maybe something for management to think about... ---- I feel bad to give this review but for the price I feel like the gym should be so much better... I am a member here due to the proximity to my residence... I understand that this is a leisure centre but still there should be a higher standard due to the price! First of all, the free weights area is too small - weight plates are all over the place because nobody puts their weights back... Dumbbells are literally all over the gym - how are people paying this much but don't have the courtesy to take their weights back to the rack? A lot of the machines are very old Technogym equipment with resistances that aren't smooth to move... A lot of missing things too - no cable seated row, no hip thrust area etc. I'm not joking when I say there are better puregyms/gym group gyms At least there's a pool and spa...

Positive experience: I was a member here for several years. The biggest benefit is by far the pool inside a stunning church. Other gyms worldwide simply do not have this, and swimming + relaxing in the jacuzzi is sublime. However, the rest of the gym needs some serious upgrading, including the steam and sauna. I recommend they upgrade the entire gym and make it a luxury, premium experience, because the location has this potential.

Negative experience: This gym has honestly become a joke. I have always been a regular rolling contract customer as I have never been able to commit for a year. The prices naturally get more and more expensive but the facilities and customer service just gets worse and worse!!! Firstly, strictly 1 towel per person, all the toiletry facilities for the ladies such as cotton, tissues and so on have been completely removed, no bags for wetsuits. Literally what used to be an inviting changing room is just stripped to the bare minimum with some hairdryers missing. 2023 - rolling contract is now £125 with an additional joining fee, I joined in January solely to use the pool (which i mentioned when signing up) because I am pregnant and only will be using it for a few months. Two days after I joined there was 9 days of not just no hot water but also days where there were no towels. What a joke. March, I pop to the pool and its closed for maintenance. That's literally two weeks of some kind of fiasco where I cant use the pool and I've lost near to £70 for a poor running of the business possibly by the new manager that doesn't know what he is doing. Just a joke and an exhausting experience.
Negative experience: Racist gym they racially profiled me. I had an outstanding balance on my account, came in to pay with cash not knowing they don’t accept it then got sent home to get my card however they let other people enter the gym whilst they had the same problem with the outstanding balance. Positive experience: Been a member for 15 years. Lately the standard of service is slipping with silly cuts where customer satisfaction is not being considered. Now I get a response they can't find me. Instead of looking up the membership list can u address the issues which are highlighted to you in the feedback, I e. The tumble dryer in the men changing room has been out of service for a few days and we all have to take dripping wet trunks home. The dryer keeps in breaking down every few weeks. Why can't you install a second dryer as a backup.

Positive experience: I like to make my reviews as unbiased as possible and offer others an insight into this health club. I signed up a few months ago, although I've used the one in Solihull first which is at least 3 times the size and over half the price with in indoor and outdoor pool and sauna! Let me start with the positives. The area itself is upmarket and gated. The parking is secure. The ambiance of the pool area is a sight to behold. I love the dynamics and totally different vibe you get from coming in the day and night. Gives a sense of tranquility. The negatives now. Since I joined the hot water wasn't working for a whole week. Only recently the steam room was broken and out of action for almost a week. I came this evening as it was only repaired 2 days ago and again it is broken AGAIN. I'm sorry but you cannot charge people over £100 a month for a health club where these facilities are broken. There wasn't really any information about this on the app apart from 1 day where I got a notification saying there was no hot water. In my opinion we are paying for a service that hasn't delivered and no compensation was given. I believe you should offer all members this month's fee at least half price as this is unacceptable. Next negative, those who like a thorough work out maybe this isn't the place for you the gym area is small. It is sufficient for a basic workout but those who are looking for a full on gym perhaps look elsewhere. The steam room is right next to the air generator for the hydro pool and the sound that comes from it is almost unbearable. I've raised this point with management when I wrote a review on the app where they kindly called me. However I was told by the person they can't notice it. Believe me I've been to other health centres and this noise is noticeable. Go and see for yourself. It ruins the relaxing vibes. The pool area towards the hydro pool where the gutter is always has this smell to it. The sauna and steam room should be renovated/modernised and made larger in my opinion. Overall the stand out out feature is the ambiance of the pool inside the church. Issues regarding things breaking all the times needs to be fixed. I feel frustrated and hence why after a few months of signing up something needs to be done and said. Most other members I've spoken to are also frustrated by this.

Negative experience: Nice place location wise but few pointers I did not like. Jacuzzi needs some moderation as some people come straight out the sauna and without showering go straight in. The steam room is not cleaned often and sometimes feel its very unclean. Treadmills need a upgrade as went on one the other day and it was buckling. Floor near mat area is not even by the hang bar.

Negative experience: Gym equipment is really unacceptable for the price point. Hip abductor machine has been broken since before I joined over a year ago. Free weights section is way too small and not enough smaller plates for the bars. All of the benches in the free weights section are broken and wobbly. No stair master which even budget gyms provide. Most machinery is outdated and huge lack of machines that most other gyms provide. Staff and spa area are amazing - a shame the gym area is not great at all. Have put in feedback multiple times but doesn’t seem to be cared for.

Fantastic experience: Updating my review from 4 stars to 5. This gym has recently undergone a revamp. The equipment available is now in my opinion very good and effective. There are multiple cardio achiness as well as power racks. The spa facilities are very good and there are many classes. The cafe also boasts a large selection of smoothies and protein shakes as well as food. Pleasent staff, clean good facilities and lovely regulwrs. Thanks guys see you again.

Negative experience: A very unhelpful reception/manager I can only describe her attitude towards me and my husband as suspicious, when using one guest pass today. She did however seem to treat the older regular guests with respect. I was left to shiver after my husband was refused two towels (one for me) after I got in to the pool accidentally without one. Apparently on first visit to the club, I am supposed to know get rules and systems?. Probably the most awkward experience of my life. Incredibly unwelcoming staff I think I'll stick to Canary Wharf. When we asked for the receptionists name at the end of our (much shortened) swim in order to complain, she mouthed 'whats their problem ' to her colleague .

Positive experience: Nice building and used to have good classes. Not good value for money anymore and decisions don't seem to have member's interests at heart. Class timetable chopped to bare minimum and yoga and pilates reduced to 45 mins - yoga used to be 90 mins. Timings of the few classes left changed for no logical reason, to less popular times. Why have a class half empty when previous timing was full? Excellent instructors leaving. Not sure how members get a voice, so here goes.

Positive experience: My main virgin gym is in London as I usually go during or before work, but live locally to repton park, so weekends I Come to this gym All facilities work well in the gym, it's a little bit dated compared to the ones in the city which is fairly understanble as a lot of those ones are newer. But what really gripes me, is how tiny the weights area is, I get that it is a health club and not just a gym so they need to accommodate to all of their customers, but I have been there at peak times and I have never seen more than 50% of those (what looks like) endless treadmills and ski machines being used. While the squished away weights area, is cramped to the point you can't get in. I think it's time for them to stop being so stubborn and actually, start listening to feedback, by tailoring their site to their clients needs. Sounds like a big moan, but I actually do like the gym. But wouldn't recommend for any peak time, lunch time or Saturday if you just want to lift weights.
Hello R, thank you so much for taking the time to share your review. It's a fair comment surrounding our weights area. We're aware it is small and we try to do our best with what we have. We are a health club and have to provide as much diverse equipment as possible. We do have all the kit required to get a comprehensive workout, but space in this area is challenged at peak times. All of our equipment is devised around the workouts of our members. This is constantly monitored. As room is not generous, we always make adjustments when we see pieces of equipment not being used long-term. We'd love to offer you a free personal training session to show you alternative exercises or ones to compliment your workout if the weights area is busy. Please do get in touch with somebody from the club and they'll be delighted to arrange for you.
