Negative experience: Pros: really good range of classes, and the equipment itself is top notch. The staff are also really nice. Changing room and sauna great too, and the showers are nice. The vibe with the lights and stuff is cool. Cons: for how much it costs, the gym is tiny, and if you want to train after 5pm its dangerously busy. People constantly bumping into eachother, and the dumbell section only having like 3 benches is criminal considering how the dumbell rack is huge, and barely any cables either. People who train here generally are also weirdly unfriendly and rude, which is unlike any gym Ive been to before (this isnt the gyms fault though but it really put me off going). For how much it costs its a complete ripoff. The gym sadly overpromises with how much it offers and results in a lack of space and whats offered being subpar. The layout is done in such a way that results in pure carnage when it gets busy. If you are solely interested in weights, gym group and kiss gym which are somewhat near are like x4 cheaper and way better value.

Positive experience: Based on the price, I will say the overall experience is that satisfied. It feels like they provide a lot equipments but the weight area has too much people , and nobody wiped afterwards,so it has potential hygiene issues. Cardio area has a lot machines and most of them are available which is good.

Fantastic experience: As a frequent traveler and visitor to London, it is important for me not to fall out of my gym routine. It is also of great importance, not to be bound to minimum2 years contracts which you can not get out of. Gymbox was a pleasant surprise that I came across accidentally and all I can say is, it will be my gym of choice whenever I am in London. No need to sign anything, you just put your basic info, no need to call prior to visit, although I had written to them and called additionally- the respond was prompt and kind. The biggest positive “cultural shock” was, that they offer free towels and they have their own body and hair wash and lotion in the shower rooms, something that my “fancy” gym or any other back home doesn’t offer. Staff is kind. Visitors mind their own business, but they seem relaxed and ready to help if help needed- the same goes to PTs. I did go in the morning so I cannot say if it is overcrowded in general or not, but I didn’t have to wait for my machines when I was there. All in all, they have everything you need for a solid work out. I recommend it to everyone, especially to travelers who book homes instead of hotels and therefore don’t have any access to the gym.

Fantastic experience: I've been training for several years now, hopping from gym to gym. I have finally found a gym that I'm comfortable with. By the far the most amazing staff, dedicated people who are kind, exceptional equipment, and very very very clean - there's always someone cleaning! It has a sauna to destress/for recovery. If serious/or want to begin to train properly, highly recommend this gym.

Negative experience: They are advertising themselves by spray painting adverts on the pavement with paint that stays. Pease don't support horrble graffiti like this, it's not the nice kind, just commercial nastiness.

Positive experience: Pros are that is a good gym, is very clean and has lots of machines. I would be nicer if they had more classes, they are very popular and get fully booked easily. If you want to join a class, you have to keep an eye on the day they open the bookings (which is 3 days before, I believe). Nice staff, they are helpful. Cons are that the gym is very dark in some areas, and if you have poor night vision you will bump into everything. And the DJ! When they come (which is not always) they put music to a ridiculous volume and is very unpleasant, it gives headaches.

Fantastic experience: Love this club! I joined a couple months ago and have been amazed by all the classes they offer. The reception team are always lovely and bubbly. I’ve never to been a gym like Gymbox before and I don’t think I’ll ever go back.

Negative experience: Extremely overpriced for what is offered. Personal trainer was extremely incompetent and caused injury to me. Classes are always fully booked, and if you are a minute late you will get a strike/ban from booking classes. Customer service is dreadful due to extreme bureaucracy. Staff will not help you and delineate to management for every little thing, wasting both time and money. Sadly, management is never available. After sending a lot of emails, and calls you will not hear response back for days unless you get angry at them. At which point they will gaslight you for being rude. It is ridiculous that this gym is happy to waste your money and then blame the customer instead of providing proper training to their staff to handle issues with efficiency. Absolutely ridiculous.

Negative experience: It will do the job but for the price its quite poor. Very crammed, very difficult to find space to do mat exercises. Its sad seeing the classes of like 12 people trying to find a bit of space amongst all the people and equipment. The equipment isnt that good, the "community" gym (third of the price) i was previously at had better quality equipment. It has a boxing ring which is kinda cool i guess. A lot of the 5 star reviews dropping names seems kinda sus. But its the only gym in shepherds bush it seems so its got that going for it.

Negative experience: Worst gym I been to. Horrible membership experience. The towels smell absolutely disgusting, they’re not washed properly if they were they wouldn’t have that smell. For the price and location really poor standards. Also sales guy lied to get me to sign up. It’s a nice gym just ran terribly, customer services a dead end.

Negative experience: Wayyy too expensive for what it is. During quiet hours the music is too loud. Complained several times but was told this is how it is. Asked for a discount because I don’t go often, or use the classes or showers or come during peak hours, was ignored. Canceled with them and now when my contract finishes I will go with something cheaper for what I actually use it for.

Fantastic experience: Super helpful, welcoming and informative! During my visit to Gymbox Westfield Shepherds Bush, I was provided with excellent customer service by Azra. She went above and beyond, really showing me a level of customer service that I don't often see. 5*

Fantastic experience: Great gym with many facilities. Functional fitness area , cardio area, bodybuilding area, spinning class, boxing ring, Power Lifting and Weightlifting. Very clean changing room. Staff are friendly. Water, protein shakes and bars are available. Great experience and a nice location. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Not recommended to go with them! What they promised during sign-up is unreliable. I opted to cancel and joined another club because I required childcare during my gym visits before the obligation date, but the club manager, Daniel, disregarded my email. To my dismay, I discovered that I was billed for membership fees. Upon calling them, I was informed that I couldn't cancel because the contract had commenced. This situation has truly angered me.

Negative experience: Looks appealing from outside however terrible gym layout, weight section doesn’t cater to women, equipment old apart from bike room. Staff unhelpful. Just want the sale. Not worth the money. Other cheaper gyms are better.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 experience with VPT Barnaby. He’s helped kickstart my gym journey with a good programme, helping establish workouts which cater to my personal fitness goals with a motivating training ethic.

Negative experience: Thee Worst! Just awful in every respect, so busy on an evening that you can not use equipment and very hard to book onto classes, always a waitlist. Staff and clientele are rude, there appears to be no management. The facilities are of a low standard. Showers have been cold for weeks. There isn’t a lot of equipment and no real area to warm up/stretch just a tiny corner that 3 people can fit into. I have got to say the atmosphere is not good, and my experience is that this group are just taking as much money as possible and have no care about the clients experience at all. This gym is nowhere near worth the fees they charge, I would recommend David Lloyd’s or Virgin active that both have a lot more facilities for a fraction more and where the staff are professional and warm. And the gyms have more space and equipment and also studio space. I absolutely regret joining this gym.

Negative experience: I went to a yoga class today, the instructor was called Tracey - Anne. Very rude and she was late. I was doing the class, and she was telling me I was doing wrong and embarrassing me in front of everyone, then she asked me “excuse me, what’s your name? And where are you from?” As if I didn’t know how to speak English or something like that. Very inappropriate and rude.

Careful with this guys… staff is completely useless, before joining they will be very kind, after they locked you in, you will never seen them again. In a year, I had more issues than I can even tell. Not once they have helped. Do not join this club!!!

Negative experience: Disappointing Experience ⭐️ Rating: 1/5 stars I canceled my membership at this gym due to consistently overcrowded conditions, leading to a stressful and inconvenient workout experience. It became a place of frustration rather than the peaceful environment I sought. Despite canceling my membership on the 4th of January and not attending since mid-December, I was charged until the end of February. This unfair billing practice seems more like a policy for theft than an ethical business practice. The customer service provided during my attempt to resolve this issue was really disappointing. If you're considering canceling your membership, be cautious and ensure it aligns with their peculiar billing cycle. I hope this review serves as a warning to others seeking a gym with a more customer-friendly approach.

Fantastic experience: Gymbox westfield has a great atmosphere. Everyone is obviously very serious about excellent customer experience, as would be expected with the price tag. Super clean and tidy, fantastic class selection, and an olympic size boxing ring. What more could you want? Gymbox Westfield is definitely a premium experience but unlike other premium gyms, it's a place to get some serious work done.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in London. Perfect amount of everything you could wish for. Put on 3 kegs of muscle since joining. It’s all I think about on my rest days. Thinking about going down to one rest day, but then I want to maximise gains. I suppose I could use their other pristine facilities. Anyway, I’m rambling. Great gym, great staff - met a fellow kiwi staff member there the other day. He was awesome. Defo recommend!

Positive experience: The staff at the reception are super friendly. I forgot my reservation wasn’t confirmed and they still let me attend the class as a goodwill gesture which was super nice of them! Friendly instructor and great atmosphere in the gym, though a little hectic.

Negative experience: Rude staff. Poor customer service. You are paying £90+ a month for a gym yet also have to pay for a towel and £20 a month for a locker?!? This is not a premium/luxury gym. Do not waste your money.

Negative experience: Please read this if you are considering joining Gymbox. Everyone wants a nice gym for a smaller price and good range of classes. With Gymbox, they lock you into a contract that means even after your membership trial of 3 months, you cannot cancel it without paying an extra month. Even if you can’t afford it. I joined as a student and came into financial hardship. When I tried to explain I couldn’t afford to pay another month and needed to cancel they simply threatened me with debt collectors. If you want a nice gym for less, join Soho House across the road. More value for money as if you’re young it works out cheaper than here. They have more gym facilities. If you just want the Gymbox membership for the classes, you’re better off getting ClassPass. Whatever you do don’t sign the contract it’s an extreme rip off! The customer service is really bad.

Negative experience: I just joined this gym a few weeks ago and 2 times been asked by someone if they can use the machine while im working out on. And it’s not like, “hey is it long left”, it’s “can I use the machine now”, not gonna go into details but it’s very uncomfortable . And last time one of PT asked it. Even though the maximum I spend is 5min on one machine. If only I could end this membership soon… the people who go here is a no no. Please don’t be bother. There’s so many great gyms in London.

Negative experience: The gym is packed and classes are very hard to join unless you sign up within 15 minutes of the classes being posted. They also like to sign you up on six month contract and do not make it obvious that its a rolling contract. Thank you for the over draft!

Negative experience: Gymbox is one of the worst companies to go with for fitness facilities. They are extremely expensive for the service they provide together with limited availabilities in all classes. They have the worst cancellation and admission fees etc together with the bad customer service. Their facilities such as saunas are always broken, they have limited availability of classes and it’s always fully booked. The gym is only open for a limited time in the day. Taking all of this into consideration I would never recommend Gymbox! Pure gym for the price gives a 5 star service in comparison to this place. Please don’t waste your money. Either pay more and go elsewhere or pay less and go the gym or pure gym.

Negative experience: Weird vibe more like a rave than a gym. Pushy salesman was really weird too. After declining stating that I wanted something more quiet and serious I got spammed with emails and text messages. Responding and telling them I am not interested then blocking their email didn't help, they emailed me plenty of times from different emails and then they have just sent me a text after blocking all of those. Highly recommend you don't go to view this gym.

Negative experience: The Gym is Great, the problem is the staff. It’s just very difficult to communicate. If you have an issue, no one know how to help. My account got blocked because a problem in their system and I had to try more than 15 times going to the gym, trying to find the manager (never there), sending emails (never answered)… The only this they actually do is charging you… even if they don’t provide the service… Very frustrating!! They need to review the structure of the team urgently!! After some months, finally got an email from Lauren, who seems to actually care about clients, fingers crossed, looks like she will help… Will post another review, hope the next one will be better.

Fantastic experience: Westfield London GYMBOX great option for a mid-premium gym in London. Wide variety of equipment and way quieter than your average London gym, especially if you go in the morning. Changing rooms always clean and in good condition. If you want a good gym that offers that slight premium element I would recommend as you won’t be breaking the bank

Fantastic experience: Love the set up of the gym, love the convenience of location and love the atmosphere and staff. Moved places and now I go to GYMBOX Ealing but would recommend to anyone considering a gym in the area.

Negative experience: The company isn’t fair with payment fees. In my second month, I paid in duplicate and until now I didn’t get my refund, the company refuse to give me my money back. When I joined I got 3 months with 1 month free, but until now I didn’t get any month free. In my first month, I saw my account’s membership was a debit 1 bottle of water that I didn’t get, I never bought from this gym. For this reason, I don’t want to continue with this company and don’t recommend it to anyone.

Negative experience: No hot water ever! So you need to get cold shower after training, staff is really rude and there is always AC on in the changing room (feel freezing whenever you get out of cold shower) the music is so loud that you can not listen to your own music while training that is really annoying.

Negative experience: I'm basing this off a few factors and comparing it to other Gymbox locations. Value is poor for the amount of equipment you get versus all of the members. Half the gym is taken up by the boxing ring which leaves very minimal space to work out. You will be ontop of each other regardless of what you're training. There will be two people to a platform, one squatting another deadliftinf behind. The crossfit area is tiny, you can't do ring muscle ups but you might squeeze in normal muscle ups when there's room. Be expected to get kicked out the area in peak times as there's a class booked in to use that area... Which is crazy considering the already limited space.

Fantastic experience: What can I say! Amy, the early morning concierge staff member is one of the most welcoming, knowledgeable and overall a fantastic person. Every visit I am always greeted with a warm and friendly smile! Even in the most difficult situations I have seen Amy defuse the situation. Good work Any!

Negative experience: Its always worrying when all the 5* reviews are from "members" who have only left one review in their lifetime and that happened to be for this gym. Yes that seems totally legit and not a fake review at all.

Negative experience: I need to pee after gym and there is not toilet paiper, I went to reception and they are aware since this morning, manager did not even bother to go to the near supermarket to buy it. Thank you very much!

Negative experience: Facilities and environment is great. However customer service is the worst. They promise things that they can’t do in order for people to join and they don’t deliver. Since they couldn’t deliver on the promises, I decided to join. I have been trying to cancel my membership for two months now. Going back and forth with management but they are have been delaying it with excuses and processes. They know that they need to give me a refund because of their delays! But instead they keep charging me hundreds of pounds the past months. When I asked to speak with senior management, it was denied to connect me as I have prove of me asking to cancel since September. From seeing the reviews there are many cases like mine! Avoid them at all costs! There are better gyms out there with good customer service

Fantastic experience: I have been a professional procrastinator for most of my life, and when covid hit I piled on the pounds to the point that it sounded like I was clapping constantly when walking down the street. People started to stare and point and so the only thing for it was to put down the crisps and get things sorted. I couldn't have done any of that without the help of the incredible GM at Gymbox, Dan Finnegan, who's thought amongst many to be a cross between Tom Hardy and Tom Hardy's brother. A manwich of epic proportions. I would not only recommend the expertise of Dan in any of your fitness related needs, I would also give him the keys to my house and ask him to take care of me, with his previously mentioned superb hugs.

Fantastic experience: Spent lockdown working from home, juggling work with a young daughter, with my mental health at the lowest ebb, got in contact with "Dishy Dan" (his nickname thats whispered around the gym floor) he took me from breaded to shredded - from a mid 30s dadbod to (nearly) demigod. He listened, added routines I was interested in, pushed me to my maximum.... he has killer ink and gives a superb hug... best pennies I've ever spent.if you are reading this, please do not call him Dishy Dan... he hates it

Fantastic experience: Great gym, I can't understand the negative comments on here especially about the contractual T's & C's. When I signed up I dealt with the manager Daniel Finnegan, it is very clear in the contract you have to give 30 days notice from the 1st of the month and he clarified this to me when I asked.
