Negative experience: Gym has randomly closed with no notice, been shut for weeks. I still have time left on contract and need to cancel it but can't get through to anyone??

Negative experience: Went to use the gym but found it closed mid day … nothing online, time waste

Negative experience: Noone is replying on the messages i have 1 year contract and the gym closed, so what are going to do carry on paying for a service that we are not able to use?

Negative experience: Rugby Gym closed without warning. No warning and no communication from Anytime Gym and I have 5 months membership remaining from a year upfront!! I feel terrible for the staff who will have lost their job as all staff were fantastic but Anytime Gyms handling of this is terrible.

Negative experience: I keep losing my stuff at the gym, and management doesn't respond well. No safe place to put items.

Negative experience: Toilets are always dirty, Music always way too loud, will find a way to scam you

Fantastic experience: The staff are very friendly it's my 1st year here and never had an issue the best part is it's open even on bank holidays. Is a 24/7 365. Close to shops around if you're hungry after training.

Fantastic experience: Like many other gyms, rush hour can be a bit manic.. but what's nice to see is it's clean, tidy & provides all the facilities you need, whether it be general fitness or heavier lifting. Staff are lovely and greet us when we walk in.

Negative experience: The most rip off place ever had a operation reconstruction of my leg and showed them my letter not interested said I had 1 month then it will be cancelled My comment was why did you need proof from me only found out that week before but still got to pay for a month but can't go anymore of operation In this Extreme circumstances you thought they would have waved it I found out if the head office is not London or Birmingham or anywhere in the UK In the USA and its a franchise so cost a small fortune to phone America unbelievable way to Run as Business

Positive experience: One of the better gyms in Rugby, hammer strength equipment, 24hrs. Would be better with a hack squat, lying leg curl, hyper extension, adductor/abductor machine, swap some of the less used equipment with any of these and fix out of order equipment and I would give 5 stars.

Negative experience: Poor quality gym, all the lockers are permanently locked out to the selected regular gowers and the shower heads have mould on them. Staff not so helpful.

Negative experience: Constantly receiving spam texts from Anytime Fitness Rugby from a new number every two weeks. Despite never visiting, not knowing anyone in the area, and opting out numerous times.

Negative experience: My experience with this gym was the worst. The said me that the first month will be free, but they charged for it. Despite calling them multiple times, the refund didn’t happen even though they promised. The fob cost £30 and they will not refund once we cancel the membership. Gym is fine, issue is with the overall administration.

Fantastic experience: I normally go late night/ early morning there, everything there you need. Private bathroom is good. The equipments they use are top quality. I like the treadmill which got tv installed in it and you can connect your earphones as well. I would highly recommend this gym. The two floors got everything you need for a healthy lifestyle. Unless anyone wants sauna and pool its a good gym with a great price. The only downside for me is the boxing gloves smells so bad you would get sick if you smell your hands after using it. Years of bacteria and sweat created very foul odour. I hope the management will look in to it.

Positive experience: Went into view the gym on my way back from shopping with shopping in my hands, the member of gym staff was really welcoming and helpful. He put my shopping down for me and gave me a tour of the gym and talked through membership. A small gym for anyone that knows the size of an anytime fitness gym, but it is well equipped and has most equipment you need and the gym is not overly busy. It even has a studio for classes. If your looking for a town centre gym, I would recommend.

Negative experience: I have had such a bad experience with this gym, I’ve emailed them multiple times asking for a cancelation, but they never reply. So I decided to cancel my direct debit since my contract ends in March and I have paid the last monthly instalment on the 16/03. Guess what happens? They called me asking why the direct debit has been cancelled?? Isn’t it funny how they are quick to answer now ? So the guy told me to go there and fill up the cancelation form then he said “ You will have to pay one more month since you should give 1 month notice “ So what about all the e-mails I have sent asking for a cancelation ?? my membership is paid until the 16/04 .. Today is the 19/03, because of 3 days they said I have to pay 1 more month for the notice period. What this guys are doing is so wrong. Short message: AVOID ANY TIME FITNESS RUGBY – Do yourself a favour and do not make a contract with this guys!!

Negative experience: Avoid. The staff was awful. That manager, the blond lady had such a superior and aggressive attitude. Not worth the stress.

Negative experience: I had a very bad experience with this Gym, do not believe in everything the sales guy claims when joining and ask for his/her claims to be shown in their terms and agreement. They make joining easy by over-promising and make cancellation difficult. Their sales assistant had promised me that pro-rated amount from my annual fees will be returned to me if I ever moved out of the UK within that year. I had to move out of UK due to a job transfer and now when I asked the gym personnel about this they outright denied giving me my pro-rated money back. They asked me to drop an email to their manager which I did 2 weeks ago and their manager did not respond to my email till date. They also asked me to start the cancellation process on their website but that tool on their website does not work. Be careful when joining this Gym, they don't stand by their word. I would have given 0 star if that was possible.

Negative experience: Dealing with anytime fitness Rugby and the UK Support Centre has been one of the worst experiences I have had with any company. They are only interested in taking money, so if at any point you want to cancel your membership this franchise is not for you. Their T&C's state that you need to give 1 months written notice, however the fantastic part is they don't read any of the emails you send via the online submission or the complaints despite this saying I will have a response within 48 hours. They actually ask you to visit the gym to cancel yet the reason I signed up was long work hours so when I can go nobody is there. This contradicts the written notice in the T&C's that they hide behind so well. The manager of Rugby is about as useful as a chocolate fire guard, he's rude and talks over you without answering the actual question. He had no response for the lack of replies I didn't receive. The UK support centre doesn't have a customer service department so there isn't really any escalation process. I only found this out after sending a recorded letter that I can only believe ended up in the bin! After chasing up my letter with clubwise and anytime I got put back on the phone with the chocolate fireguard. Eventually I got a name out of him of someone to speak to at the UK centre and I had to scroll through the internet to get a number for them. I rang the centre, spoke to the chap in Marketing who said their name must of been given because "the manager likes me". I was PROMISED a response the next day and yet I'm still waiting 5 days on. Try ringing now and miraculously everyone is in a meeting. Not a happy customer, I am getting the email for the Chief operating officer and taking it to the top. Stay away from these cowboys

Positive experience: Great Gym!!! Just a parking is too far away!!

Negative experience: I started using their gym because they were the only one that was 24/7. I needed a gym that was opened between 5.30am and 6.30am because I used to go to work at 7am. I chose to pay monthly, by direct debit. I went to sign the contract and not once did anyone mention that even if I pay monthly, I am bound to pay for 1 year. In June I found out that the program at work will change and I have to work 6.30am to 2.30pm. I work only AM shift because I have a kid in school and have to take him at 3pm. My husband works only PM shift for the same reason, he has to take him to school. I sent them proof of this changed and asked them kindly to cancel my membership because in the contract it said there are some exceptions. AS IT SEEMS, IN THEIR OPPINION, THE FACT THAT I CAN'T COME ANYMORE AT ALL IS NOT AN EXCEPTION. Now I have to pay for something I cannot use. So not a good experience, steer clear of them if you are a fortune teller and don't know the future for an year in advance.

Why in God's name that anyone needs to visit a gym at all, especially at silly o'clock in the morning - but each to their own, can't knock them as I go shopping then! From the outside it looks really nice, clean and well equipped, if I was ever go in to join a gym it would probably be this one, next door to Asda so lots of people about at night, well lit with easy parking.

Negative experience: Spot on place friendly and helpful staff, until you hit financial problems mid contract then they don't give a stuff and turn into nightmares. It doesn't matter if you read your contract, terms & conditions over & over they will not adhere to them when you need help. So from my experience with them I have lowered my stars rating.

Fantastic experience: My sister suffers with different disabilities and had become a member without any of the family knowing. I was in Rugby on a short visit and she asked me to accompany her while she went through her consultation, fitness goals, capabilities and fitness plan with her instructor. My sister was then shown each piece of equipment on her plan, how to adjust them and then tried them out. I cannot express how grateful l am that my sister's trainer Kerian and the gym's Manager Hannah took the time to explain everything in great detail, showed her where the emergency necklace was and what happens when it is pressed. My sister was made to feel very special and welcome and went and bought new training clothes to exercise in. Many thanks for your understanding and time. Lyzette Woon

Fantastic experience: One of the best Anytime Fitness' I have been to, I travel round and use various clubs and this is one of the biggest and well equipped clubs I have come across with particularly helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend to anyone in the local area!

Negative experience: Very unhappy with my experience here. Mis sold a membership on the basis that I would be able to cancel should I need to move away from the area. Guess what, I did have to move away to London but I was unable to end my membership, only option offered was to transfer to a gym with a fee of £50pm rather than £30pm!

Positive experience: Very good generally but customer service is seriously lacking and the staff really need to get some customer service training. I reported a busted toilet seat 2 months ago-still not fixed? Good equipment and clean. It would be nice to see staff members walking about ready to offer advice on using machines etc.

Negative experience: rubbish if you want to cancel your full gym membership you have to pay £400 out to cancel it and the staff are rude and half of the equipment is dirty over all this gym is rubbish and i rate it 1 star
