Negative experience: You keep increasing the monthly costs but you don’t improve the quality of the gym. The men’s showers literally stink of mold and sewage. This has been complained about multiple times and you haven’t done anything to improve it but yet you want to ask us to pay more money?

Negative experience: My go-to gym since 6 months. I'm here five times a week. Forgot today my lock, so didn't put it in the locker. They then asked me to put it in a locker and purchase a lock because I forgot mine today. Bad customer support if you ask me - could have just lended me one
Positive experience: I've been going to PureGym Angel for a few months, mainly to classes: Sam (Pilates), Lucy (weights), and Siobhan (circuits) are great and their classes are really enjoyable. I don't usually use the machines, but there seem to be enough available at any time. The gym is generally clean, although I regularly notice users who don't wipe down the matts after using them.

Fantastic experience: I've been going here since it opened, it's a great gym. Of all the PureGyms I've been to, this is my favourite. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and it's always clean and tidy. Can't ask for anything more.

Fantastic experience: Pure gym was offering a 3 day pass for free so I thought why not! I am so glad that I did! This gym boasts a massive amount of weights, weight machines and cardio equipment. There is a large room for Zumba (or the like) and Dance classes and lot of Cable Machines spread out around the area. I was not bored for one minute and even tried some new things – The only draw back is there is no pool. However that being said I could see my self making a lot of progress if I went here every day. Plus the memberships are pretty affordable and always have good offers on.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been using this gym for 2 years and it’s a great gym. Sam, Raychel and Rob always have a smile when you when you arrive and will answer any questions happily. Lots of different equipment that’s well maintained and lots of different classes. Would recommend to any of my friends

Fantastic experience: Such a great gym. Super easy and convenient to go to anytime. The staff is really lovely and welcoming. The classes are great, varied and fun. Fantastic experience: Fantastic Circuits class with Rachael Cunningham. A real leader who inspires to get the best out of us. Pushes you to do your best while telling you to listen to your body. She creates a fantastic energy in the class and is great at demonstrating the exercises as well as watching our technique. Definitely coming back.

Negative experience: The gym is OK, not too big but probably has all you need. I found it unbearable to work out at this location because of the lack of proper ventilation. Outside is nice and fresh but in this location it’s hot and the ventilation is so bad that people sweat profusely, resulting in a very dense and smelly atmosphere.

We pump over 2,000 litres of fresh air into our gyms every second though our ventilation systems. This helps to dilute airborne virus particles and ensure members have clean fresh air to workout. Positive experience: Having left third space gym due to a lack of parking available, choosing another gym was going to be a tough pill to swallow... Having been at PureGym for the last 2 weeks I can't be happier with my choice for gyms in the area. My only gripe would be no towels, broken lockers and showers go off every 30 seconds. Positive experience: An underrated gem.of a gym As with most puregym, I hadn't had much of a high expectation prior to visiting, but was happily surprised to see the level of cleanliness and we'll thought out floor plan of the space Not sure what this gym was like at the start of 2023, or even earlier for that matter, but all the complaints I'd read from older reviews seem null and void One of the biggest things for me in this gym is the withdrawal of matrix machines which are plain garbage, and precor installed in their place Finally seems as though puregym have seen the light and made sure to make a contract with a supplier that actually knows about exercise biomechanics Will be venturing here again soon without doubt

Negative experience: Great idea to schedule wall painting during the rush our at the gym. We all love to have a lungs full of paint thinner fumes as we are going for 1 rep maxes.

Positive experience: Great gym that had a great atmosphere and music. Now the music is pretty bad and it has such an effect in the vibe. Bring back the house tunes and get rid of the elevator music please!

Negative experience: Good to work out, but I avoid showering there because the showers are usually in a disgusting state

Negative experience: Probably the worst gym I've been too. Not recommended for women. A lot of strange men who have nothing better to do than look at you. Even a male member of staff. I lasted about 10 minutes before I left and went elsewhere due to being extremely uncomfortable which is a shame given I'm new to going to the gym.

Negative experience: This gym is fine during quiet times, aside from the unclean changing rooms. The showers smell like sewage. During busy times it’s mental, there is currently a girl with a videographer following her around. She doesn’t work there, just influenzing…

Negative experience: I’ve had a membership with Puregym for 5 years and the Angel branch has the rudest staff I’ve ever dealt with. A few months ago a male PT came up to me and just said that my squats were bad without offering constructive feedback on how to improve my form. And this week I was doing powerlifting and a new member of staff came up to me and told me off for having my shoes off to do my deadlifts. Never once have I been told at a puregym I have to keep shoes on, I’ve even been advised to take them off by other PTs for those lifts. Anyone who knows a thing about weightlifting knows that decreasing the space between your feet and the floor is the safest and best way for squats and deadlifts. After I explained to her how unsafe and risky it would be to do my lifts with my chunky shoes on she said she didn’t care and that in this gym shoes stay on. She said it was a hygiene issue, but I don’t see her enforcing rules and bothering customers about wiping down surfaces. I’ve seen people in their socks plenty of times in that gym and she told me I was lying, even though she told me herself she’d been there for only 6 weeks and I’ve been coming to Angel puregym for over a year. I didn’t want to injure myself so I continued and she continuously disrupted my workout to speak to me in a condescending way as if I was a child. The staff clearly don’t know their stuff and it seems like they just look for ways to make your time there unpleasant out of boredom or just enjoying having power.

Positive experience: On one hand, this is next to my office and it's very convenient to go there before work and get a workout in. On the other hand, the changing rooms are not well maintained and the smell is not great, especially in the shower. Please, just fix that hand dryer and soap dispenser and pour some bleach into the shower drains. You are just an afternoon's work away from 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Pure gym angel is a great gym. I’ve Been here for about 1 year and I’ve had no problems. The manager rachel is very helpful and friendly. She will definitely make you feel at home. I would recommend trying this gym out.

Negative experience: Small facility, terrible benches, absolutely intrusive and annoying staff members and lack of essential machines such as a hack squat machine. Manager just walks around the gym all day looking at her phone and pretending like she's busy checking machines. Staff are insane about equipment and weights to the point they will make your time there unpleasant just because you forgot to put back equipment, unacceptable behaviour. If you are serious about fitness and training or a person of colour who can get labeled as a threat do not come here, you will be targeted by staff and they will watch you like a hawk.

Negative experience: New member of the management team (possibly a manager even?) is BULLYING people. Her behaviour is terrible and she actively seeks confrontation. Starts HARASSING people 30 minutes before closing and kicks everyone out 10 minutes EARLY. I've cancelled my membership, after a long time of using the gym and puregym in general.

Positive experience: I think the gym is great, I go every other day off peak and have done since September. The showers though are full of hair and really grimy. After a few experiences I will not shower and often have to sink wash. The 2 bikes by the entrance seem to always be out of battery so you can’t track your workout. These have not been looked out for months. Please sort this out and we would have an amazing gym.

Negative experience: Don't use their services!! This company doesn't care at all about their customers to them you are just another number. I joined on 25th Dec, 2023 but there was a death in my family so I cancelled my membership on 28th Dec. This drastically changed my circumstances, I emailed their member services to inform them on the same day. I assumed I would get back the £52.99 joining fee with no issues as I cancelled within the refund time comfortably. I left the issue for now as I had to plan a funeral and other things. I email them again on the 16th Jan referring to my previous email (Written: STILL WAITING FOR REPLY URGENT!!) asking for a reply still nothing. Finally I went to the gym on 1st Feb, explain the situation and ask one of the staff to email head office again. They replied on the same day stating that I would receive the money in 3-5 working days. Its now the 8th Feb, I had to email them again for me to finally see £52.99 appear in my account. I stated the reason why I had to cancel my membership very clearly in my first email. I'm sure at some stage between the first and the forth email (Final email) someone at some stage read it. But nothing prompted them to deal with this in a timely manner. The amount of pain you go through when you lose a loved one is unimaginable. Dealing with anything related to that pain is like re-living their passing in that moment. Puregym forced me to re-live that pain again and again for the sake of trying to hold onto a £52.99 joining fee.

Fantastic experience: Great gym for what it is - compact, functional, no frills and economical. Wasn't too crowded on a Sunday afternoon to visit all the stations, and ambient music was quiet and unobtrusive.

Positive experience: The gym space is okay, but I’d agree with another review that there seems to be a lack of leg resistance machines (in comparison to the other pure gyms I’ve been to), there’s only 1 non-plated leg press machine, and only 1 leg extension machine. My main gripe is that the showers and toilets can be absolutely disgusting. The showers cubicles are really small and always seem to be covered in hair. Even if there isn’t the capacity to clean them throughout the day, I think a sign encouraging members to leave the space as they’d like to find it would go a long way.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym. The staff are all friendly but leave you to your workout. Very well equipped and clean. Can be busy at peak times, which means queues for machines/racks, but that’s almost unavoidable in London. Couldn’t recommend more!

Positive experience: Its a great gym, very spacious and lots of variety equipment. Only thing it's lacking is leg resistance machines, there are very few and this is disappointing compared to the upper body machines available.

Positive experience: This is one of the best PureGyms I've visited. My local one is Clapham and this one is literally 10 times better. It's never too busy, there are 6 lifting platforms, a large free weights area, plenty of space to stretch and the equipment is all of super high quality. Leg machines are lacking though, which is why I've only give it 4 stars at the moment.

Negative experience: I am not the type of person to leave a review unless I had a certain experience, and I certain it had one here. I was really happy with this gym for a while -good equipment, nice locker rooms, and no weird people watching anyone work out. I felt really comfortable until my last experience a few weeks ago. For reference, I am a plus size woman, and I like going to the gym to be a bit more fit and comfortable with my body. I’ve been going to different gyms for years, and never had any problems like this. I was minding my business one day, just about to wrap up my workout. I had my AirPods in my ears, but no music was on cause I was talking to my friend just before. As I was walking to the cardio section, a staff member (I think it may have been a manager, not entirely sure) was taking two or three people around the gym for a tour. As I am approaching them to get to the treadmill, the staff member sees me, looks me up and down, and says to the people while gesturing subtly towards me “see, people of all sizes work out here!” Maybe he thought my music was playing so I wouldn’t hear, but I heard it loud and clear. While this may not seem like a big deal to anyone who is straight sized, this was a big blow for me and for anyone who is not skinny. I go to the gym to work on myself, to not have anyone comment on my body, and certainly to not be used as a tour highlight for other straight sized people. I felt so uncomfortable, I left immediately and have not been back since. It’s not that im hurt, it’s the concept of it. Do better. It’s been weeks now and I still think of that moment, it’s just unacceptable. (Also, I saw maybe 2 other plus size people working out during my time with PureGym (about 2 months) so don’t even try to sell the fact that people of “all” sizes actually come).

Negative experience: At the beginning the gym was quite alright. I can’t blame them it is busy from time to time, but I can say something that cleanliness could be way better. Showers are so smelly and full of hair everyday. They need to be clean few times a day and I’ve never seen anyone to do that and I’m quite often customer. Except of that, the manager often says to people to put back weights on the racks, but almost every time ask about this wrong person and doesn’t want to listen that it’s not their barbells or whatever. So just imagine you are going to work out, all the time you are bothered by a team member and after not the best workout you are going to take a shower in a smelly cabin. No the best experience.

Positive experience: This PureGym is smaller than the other ones I go to but it is also one of the least busy ones that I go to (so good and bad). There is no mobile data availability at the back of the gym so make sure to download any playlists before coming. The equipment is all pretty new and kept clean.

Negative experience: Don’t understand why male managers feel the need to go in the female changing rooms, while females are in there, when they have females working on the gym floor? Seen it on numerous occasions.

Fantastic experience: Great and good number of machines. Opening hours good for early risers and late night workouts. Clean. Good value. The app is great and helps you track you workouts, shows how busy the gym is live, and is used to gain entry.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the better PureGyms, spacious, clean and lots of equipment. Staff are also friendly. Overall a great place to train in the morning. The monthly membership fee is very high though in comparison to other Pure’s in the area (that are also open 24 hours) so will regretfully be looking to change

Negative experience: Have been told for the past 3 months since the gym’s opening that they are “waiting for a part” for the wifi to be fixed. Staff seem to be just as frustrated with this issue, however they do have their own “staff wifi”. There is almost zero mobile signal in the gym. There are also no opening hours displayed anywhere at the site, leading to false expectations that this is a 24 hour gym like most Pure Gyms. The gym gets extremely busy at peak times, to the point where not a single bench, rack or machine may be free. Overall, the equipment is in great condition since it’s a new gym, but doesn’t make up for the shortfalls.

Negative experience: Last time I went to the gym there was still no WiFi. I personally think by now the gym should have sorted out WiFi, it has been opened for about 5 months. And when I ask the staff there is still no time frame as to when that would be sorted. I would like to do YouTube sets without having to exhaust my mobile data

Positive experience: Good open space with lot's of equipment for a variety of workouts. Changing area is quite cramped for men and as with a lot of gyms the right plate is never close by but can't be helped massively. Definitely recommend if you just want to get your head down and do some hard work.

Positive experience: Small to med size gym, has a good amount of machines. Showers for men are quite high up, no soap provided. Everything is new. Needs more Tricep pull down rope attachments. Only one in entire gym.

Positive experience: Finally got the internet working and 2 of the 6 squat racks now has view of a mirror. They clearly acted on the feedback so credit to them. The floor of the squat area could do with some strengthening as when weight are dropped, it feels like an earthquake which can be very distracting if squatting heavy. Still closes a bit too early but the gym is definately getting better.
