Fantastic experience: Great gym got everything you need and pretty nice swimming pool area

Negative experience: Just been to see UK Queen at Leisure Center, Chichester, 24th November 2024. Had to leave half way through it was the worst tribute band I've ever seen in my life and I've been to 100s of gigs, the drums, lend guitar and bass player were over powering and fighting with each other to be the loudest. Brian May had hooping cough so was coughing much of the time, Freddy kept stopping singing so everybody could join in but the music was so loud you couldn't hear anything so we were missing must of the song. Never will I go and see this band again.

Fantastic experience:

Negative experience: Gym itself is pretty good with decent machines and staff very helpful, steam room was dirty, the grout was an array of colours of the rainbow and all kinds of shades of black. The showers had black mould on the doors and around the ceiling with a odour of urine. Redo the shower and steam facilities and it would be spot on. Definitely not worth membership price based on gym alone.

Negative experience: If I could put 0 stars I would. We went to sign up my farther for a membership and were waiting in the membership area. 3 members of staff on the front desk ignore us completely. I approach and get told to wait 2 minutes later, we then approach the desk again 10 minutes later to be told to wait another two minutes. We then replied we’d already been waiting 10 and the member of staff under her breath said ‘you can wait even longer now’ this behaviour is completely unacceptable and disgusting. A manager then came to the desk and told us they were busy hence why we’d been waiting so long but there were numerous members of staff on the front desk anyway.

Positive experience: Good booking system. Great showers. Pool temperature just right - not too cold to get in but not so warm as to make swimming uncomfortable. Easy parking with 2 hours free of charge.

Negative experience: Staff stand around on their phones, joking, drinking tea, getting in the way of machines in gym because they talk amoungst themselves. I believe if they are getting paid hourly they should not be standing around and chilling when there is work to do, otherwise you should consider cutting staff hours or give hours to people who work.

Positive experience: Busy but okay. Parking is poor AND EXPENSIVE AND TICKET WARDENSARE A NUISANCE...BEWARE!!

Fantastic experience: Love the vibes of this place. Many amenities available at a great price

Negative experience: First visit today with a new member and family, won’t be returning, Ann on the front desk could do with some further customer service training, so not a great first impression, changing facilities are grubby, changing rooms laid out in a maze pattern which isn’t easy for people who struggle with mobility, All in all I wouldn’t recommend here, lost a member today who won’t be renewing her monthly membership and a potential new family membership, Let’s hope they do better.

Fantastic experience: Fully comprehensive leisure centre, gym and pool.

Negative experience: I've had a membership here for just over 8 months and I have to say I'm extremely disappointed. - The gym is now newly renovated but lots of the equipment is 'unusable' or 'out of order' regularly. - Fitness classes are always overbooked and many people enter the classes without even booking. for example the Pilates classes have a maximum of 30 spaces, it is always overbooked with people on the 'waiting list' and nearly every class has more than the maximum ammount of booked people in there. - Some of the staff are very kind and helpful but others seem exasperated and aggravated when asked for help with something. - The swimming pool when booking as a member is free of charge but only for an hour if you don't want to swim in lanes. - The so called 'spa' area is very poorly managed and outdated, it is always PACKED with people who don't have a membership or haven't booked to go in. Also, there are 2 saunas, 1 of which is hardly ever turned on when it is so extremely busy in there. many times I have come purely for the purpose of going to the spa and just ended up going home. - And last but not least the changing room facilities are absolutely disgusting. There is mold, hair, algae and other mysterious substances everywhere. They look like they haven't been properly cleaned in years. Half the locks are falling off the doors and everything is so filthy I am appalled. The filth in the changing rooms is not just a one time thing or created in a day by the people who come here. There is even mold growing in some of the soap dispensers in the showers!! I really hope that Everyone Active puts their priorities in order because this is truly appalling and I am not the first person to post about this.

Fantastic experience: The pickleball club was very inclusive and very welcoming. Good fun

Negative experience: Great facilities - but not for members. Membership is pointless because there is absolutely NO CONTROL over public using members only areas. The member's only changing rooms, sauna and jacuzzi suit are regularly used freely by ANYONE and despite my complaints about this, until I'm blue in the face, NOTHING is done. There are additional turnstiles for the gym thankfully but is a membership of the centre worth it? Absolutely not, buy a swim ticket and use whatever you want, nobody will question it.

Positive experience: Changing rooms need a regular clean very dirty which let's the place down as everything else is high tech also the steam room area needs a very good deep clean

Positive experience: Pools nice, why are the pool changing rooms laid out like a labyrinth, and they are bit grubby often. Maybe it's the everyone active ownership now but I'm not massively into registering just to swim. Also £7+ for an hour slot.. meh If you want to call and find out swimming times also, good luck, very very rarely get an answer when trying to get through to speak to someone. Staff pleasant enough.

Negative experience: Used the pool very disappointing. The pool was cold. No hot water in the showers. One of the disabled toilet doors wouldn't close . The floor in the changing area was grubby, lots of hair and old wrist bands. It's such a shame that it used to be a great place to swim, although this was my first visit for quite a few years. The booking process wasn't great either. The 2 children we took with us had a great time !!

Negative experience: I thought I was in Poland or somewhere and then a family with baby comes into jacuzzi? So sorry not impressed.

Positive experience: As always an excellent antique and collectors fair

Negative experience: Went to a music concert here. It was terrible, the sound was really bad, you couldn't hear the singer over the music. Many people left because of how loud it was. Wont be returning here anytime soon.

Fantastic experience: Great facility, very organised, new equipment. I wish the hot tub was hotter but it’s still good.

Negative experience: During Covid the swimming pool rules were understandably changed to one hour slots, but these have now been kept in place to the detriment of customers. - If you don’t arrive on the hour, you don’t get a full hour’s swim for your money. - Everybody is in the changing rooms at the same time. - There is no electronic gate system so you often have to wait in a queue for the receptionist to let you in, or wait for them to finish a phone call. This eats into your hour. A return to the old system where you could turn up and pay to swim for as long as you like while the pool is still open to the public would be very welcome.

Positive experience: Building, gym, and pools first class but far too expensive for me to join, it is a shame really we are told exercise is good for us, but it is priced out of most people's range.

Negative experience: Took my baby there for her first swim and the pool was absolutely freezing. Her hands went purple. Have tried a few others since and none of them have been as cold as this one (under 30 degrees). Didn’t used to be like this.

Fantastic experience: After the recent revamp of the gym I can safely recommend this as the go to gym in Chichester, everything you could need and more

Negative experience: Not really set up for casual visitors. Have to give as many details as opening a bank account to go for a family swim.

Positive experience: Five star for the staff, from front of house to personal trainers and membership team, the loss of a star is only as the facilities (not equipment) are dated. Having been a member of most other local gyms over the years, whilst this is not the most aesthetically pretty of them all and doesn't have the air of exclusivity, it is the most functional and definitely the best value for money.

Negative experience: We were recommended by someone to try westgate for two children swimming lessons. Avoid. 5 different swim teachers. 3 cancellations, 1 without telling us until we were on the side of the pool. Lessons do not start on time due to teachers talking to parents from the before lesson. 8 minutes they started late the other week due to this, but they still finished at the same time. Im Still awaiting a refund, was told monday now Saturday. Make sure you check your direct debits as the sessions cancelled the direct debit still took payments. Called today still waiting for payment. Very disappointed Everyone active and managment don't work together and don't communicate.

Fantastic experience: Friendly helpfull staff good facilities

Negative experience: This pool service is not great place to learn swimming. Anybody who wants to learn swimming from start will be get disappointed. 1. Learning swimming is expensive and not worth the money. 2.they give you 1 lesson per week and cancels it on the day because of staff unavailability and any other Reasos. And didn't even provide you other lesson in case of cancellation at other slot. 3. If you wanna practice on your own ; you will not get enough sessions for that and center will not provide any swimming accessories for your support. So to summarize not worth the money you are paying for learning swimming

Fantastic experience: Visited the pool for an event organised by Chichester Lions Club. Event superbly organised and all areas of the pool and changing rooms clean and tidy.

Positive experience: It's ok. But quite busy with body builders talking non stop about diet

Negative experience: Had 4 swims recently cancelled either due to staff shortages or incorrect chlorine levels in the pool - all issues well under the control of the leisure centre. Lifeguards do nothing to make the lane swims safe, even when unsafe conditions are brought up to them and management. Spa facilities are often not available for use due to poor maintenance. Cleanliness of changerooms is sub-par and has not improved, even after being raised with management. Staff are dismissive to issues raised. Quality of service of the leisure centre is in a steady decline.

Positive experience: Only used for Motorhome parking they have a row of long spaces. Looked in and very well set out gym.

Negative experience: Sad to see that they have chosen not to accept cash payments!

Positive experience: Friendly centre. Nice strings badminton is played here on a Thursday between 1300-1500

Fantastic experience: Lovely and clean. Downside if any, the younger lifeguards seem loath to 'tell off' the young lads that insist on acting the fool in the learner pool

Positive experience: Great facilities here. My kids love the water slide when it's open. Would of given it a five but the changing rooms could do with a bit of an update and it would be nice to spend longer than an hour in the pool for the price they charge.

Positive experience: Great pool, 33.3m long main pool, separate teaching pool, splash pad and waterslide. Warm water compared to other pools locally! Fair sized changing space for families and individuals alike, with private shower cubicles. Good swim lesson offering too. Only downside is the cafe which shuts quite early, doesn't cater for late afternoon/early evening trade at all, even though lessons or sessions are operating.

Positive experience: I have no personal experience of the facilities as I went there my cousin's husband to collect 2 of their grandchildren from a swimming class. The impression was good . . . as is its reputation.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I swim most Thursday evenings lane swimming, free parking in evening, staff very friendly and welcoming, changing rooms very clean when arriving and being cleaned as we leave. Lifeguards friendly and vigilant. Water always clean and well maintained.

Negative experience: The waterside is never open. The changing rooms are outdated and showers are rubbish. This place could do with a revamp like the Fareham branch in Hampshire 100%.

Positive experience: The swimming pool is always cold, no matter what time of year. The changing rooms usually have the odd bit of grime in them and never seem to be descaled. The gym is poor value for money as almost all the equipment or machines are tired/missing/broken. There is A/C in both sections of the gym, but it only ever seems to work in one room (not the hot and sweaty one with the running machines). The A/C also leaks on the regular despite being seemingly never used. The centre's location is it's main selling point.

Fantastic experience: I go to weekly cardiac exercise class for 1 hour. The pace is just right for me, and we get a fee tea or coffee afterwards. All is as Covid safe as possible.

Fantastic experience: A very well run leisure centre. Excellent facilities. Friendly, helpful staff. The changing rooms are clean and well maintained. The on-site cafe is reasonable and handy for the kids after a long swimming session.

Fantastic experience: Great, brilliant time with the grandchildren, they had a good time, it's a shame we couldn't use the slide and floatables

Negative experience: After 20min on there website and 30ming on the phone I'm still non the wizer about whether I can take the kids swimming. Why is the pool timetable not immediate on the website? Luckerly if I wanted to join a membership there's hundreds of links....... I am still on the phone waiting.....

Negative experience: During this current heatwave I decided that it would be a nice day out to take the family for a swim so we decided to go here, unfortunately I can’t give you a review on the pool or changing rooms because as soon as we walked up to the desk we were asked if we had pre booked we replied that we hadn’t booked but would still like to go swimming “no sorry we are fully booked today” we then went to the cafe area to try come up with a new plan, couldn’t help but notice the “at capacity” pool only had 15 people in it and around 20 more people leaving the place while we were sat there, we then found a better, cheaper swimming pool nearby, I tossed my membership card on the way out and don’t worry I won’t be back.

Fantastic experience: Amazing swimming pool. Range of activities, parties, and a great place to have fun.

Positive experience: Joined earlier this year, partly for classes but mainly for member savings on badminton court bookings. Now I’m a member, they have said I can’t have the court booking discount, even though they used that as an incentive to sign me up. I have questioned this but they couldn’t be less bothered. After an initial, minimal response they haven’t had the courtesy to even acknowledge further communication. Lying toads. Poor show. The club itself isn’t bad - a bit tired and sometimes not as clean as it could be, but the other members in general are a nicer and friendlier bunch than in some other local alternatives. Shame there is pretty much nothing healthy to buy in the café, especially when so many young kids use the club, it would be nice to see an effort being made to encourage healthier choices.

Fantastic experience: Best pool in the area. The flume is amazing too

Negative experience: Disgrace of a company! After booking my kids swimming lessons and paying £232 up front. We turn up to be told visit reception your not on the list. 2x visits to reception yes you are on the list. Back to the swimming instructor no your not on the list. 30 minutes later kids get re dressed and we leave no swimming. Email 2s and have called 6 x to speak to a manager there is never a manager available What a sham of a company and a absolute disgrace of a company with children swimming Just aswell of set fire to £200 quid

Positive experience: The swimming pool looked very nice from the window. Unfortunately we were turned away as we hadn't booked, even though they were empty. Nothing was communicated to this effect on their website which we checked before we left home. So please book to avoid disappointment.

Fantastic experience: Good facilities, programmes, personal trainers and excellent value for money.

Negative experience: Swimming lessons are abysmal. We spent a year in swimming lessons and never progressed at all. This is for a few reasons: - The teaching staff keep being replaced - there are too many kids in a class - the kids spend most of the time sat on the steps watching (not in the water) - there is no teaching assistant - they don't log progress like they are supposed to in the app - swim teachers have to run out to put more tickets on their cars in the car park - the teaching management don't care when approached about the issues We have now moved to Bognor and it's a world away (teaching assistant in the class, only 5 kids per class, monitoring progress, time given outside of lessons for the teachers to log progress, etc.).

Fantastic experience: Great local pool centre. Fun slide. Their children's swimming lesson set up is fantastic for each stage level with good options for classes in the late afternoon so I can get my boy to his lessons after work. The swimming teachers have all been excellent so far.

Negative experience: Management PLEASE, for the sake of all your lifeguards and customers, fix your PA system. The constant feedback/hum/buzz drives me absolutely bananas every time I come.

Negative experience: Cold pool, only 1 pool was open, changing rooms smelt like urine and the showers had no hot water. All of this was only discovered after we had paid for our family swim

Negative experience: Definitely not my favourite place to swim pools not the best slides are dirty gym is ok but if your getting a membership for the kids for swimming you have no chance as after school on week days there is no swimming so it’s just weekends and watch out for the ticket wardens they are like sharks around west gate so make sure your not late coming out as even on sundays they are out in force

Positive experience: I think you need to book everything in advance including swim sessions. Pool is good and has more things to do than most, like the slide. Dropped a star for tired looking changing rooms and café closed on a Saturday lunchtime.

Positive experience: Came in Feb 2022 half term for swimming. Only had 1 hour slots in the pool but was fine about that. Had hoped to get my 9 year old lunch in the cafe after at 1pm, couldn't locate sandwiches for the kids boxes and went to till point to ask only to be ignored by 2 staff members behind the counter for 5 or so minutes. When I was acknowledged, I was told there were no sandwiches left...... At 1pm?

Fantastic experience: We went swimming today whilst doing respite care for a little boy with autism. The staff on reception were so kind and helpful! Once we were in the pool there was loud music playing and a lifeguard came over to ask if we were alright and if we would like him to turn the music down in case it gave the little boy a sensory overload. He was fine with the music but it was so kind of the lifeguard to offer! Brought a whole new meaning to EVERYONE active! Thank you for being inclusive! :)

Fantastic experience: Nice family sports centre. Receptionists could do with prioritising people Infront of them.

Positive experience: Only here for swimming. Never used anything else. The parking is free for 2 hours which is great. The current pool sessions mean it’s not busy but does mean that everyone is out the pool at the same time and there’s only 4 changing rooms with showers in. The other shower cubicles and changing cubicles are small and are a faff with the kids.

Positive experience: Clean and effective a great venue to learn to swim. Everyone seemed to enjoy themsrlves

Positive experience: Zap space is amazing place to run energy wild ,only what I may suggest to the owner is to give a slightly different service. When people looking to have a coffe they find coffe bar a bit not inviting. Separation panels, painted benches in a team colours or animals , anything more colourful and more lights will make the place more inviting. You got a great space , put a fake flower pots or flower walls as dividers. Lockers need some good maintenance.Every week just tight the nut and add lube and they will serve you again. I know it's down to the money but these sugestion would not cost you much. Laminated notes 'please give us review look so desperate. Put two cd's on the table with bearings and instal triangular poster with code to scan which takes the customer to review. I was there for the first time and if I didn't spoke to a nice guy behind the bar, I may have a completely differen view about your place. I missed there bear minimum labeled callender on Toilet duty and well they need maintenance as well. Game tables to boost income yess, but not next to the toilet. In general the place is worth money and even travel to the Stratford. Easy map for clients linked to other atractions around you is not justoool promoting competitors,but can help you to get more customers. I would have probably give full five star with these simple changed.

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely place to go swimming.My 5 old year son really loved here.He really enjoyed the slide and a place designed just for little ones.

Positive experience: As a member it seems that anybody could buy the cheapest ticket and come in and do any class apart from the gym where you have to use your card a bit lax and and the place is looking tired not everything working

Positive experience: Standard facilities- looking a bit worn out now and could do with improved/more frequent cleaning but instructors are good and most staff polite.

Negative experience: My kids did do there swimming lessons hear but now unaffordable £34.80 per kid per month and that's a total of 2hrs per month and the price goes up every April

Negative experience: I've spent the last half hour trying to simply find the timetable and book a family visit here. The interface and web design is dire and in now way user friendly. you have to go through loads of pages to find timetables, you can't book with out a membership, took 10 minutes to figure out how to get a membership for logging in without paying and once I finally manged to get the correct registration page and complete it I was completely blocked by the choose a password page. In spite of repeatedly entering passwords until all the the required items on the checklist were ticked, I then click set password and get the exact page with no feedback to say accepted, not accepted or any hint as to what is wrong and so I tried to simply login in another tab only to find that I only get 3 attempts and even copying and pasting the password is not successful. I'm now wound up, frustrated and taking my family to bognor regis
