Negative experience: Got threatened by a member when going here for ‘looking’ at him the wrong way and he started cursing me out. Told the gym staff and they said they couldn’t do anything, although they know the guy was trouble. Quit my membership immediately as the guy could have attacked me another time as he was crazy. I said you kick him out or I leave. The later happened :/ scared of their own members who are trouble and not confident enough to act. Not a safe environment to relax and work out.

Positive experience: Nice gym situated in a good place. But I think they need to do more in the organisation. They lack space. Everywhere is jam packed. They should probably consider using puregym's method of membership timings where they have a low fee membership only allowed at certain times of the day and members can check the number of people in the gym at a time through the app. Having so many people at a time where you barely have space for even equipment isn't very safe and convenient.

Negative experience: Only reason I haven't given 1 star is that the staff is at least friendly and it's generally been a nice atmosphere to gym in the two years I've been a member. Other than that, been left outside the gym in the cold after getting myself out of bed at 5.30 to fit in my usual routine before work. Not once, but 4 times this year alone so far. In addition there has been a leak blocking some of the floor space for months, some machines have been out for weeks - I get that they might need to await the maintenance contractor, but no one can confirm what the timeline might be, met with shrugs and non-committal answers. Wnder if my payment doesn't go through if Energie would be happy with me saying "depends, don't really know when it will or won't". Only reason I've stuck this long is that it's within 10 mins walk of home, but very close to adding 5 mins to that to go somewhere else. Owner please take note or you'll be losing members soon.

Negative experience: I've been a member at this gym for almost 3 years now. Pros: gym is the only decent option within 15 mins of walking from my place, and most of the staff is quite good (as far as i could see) as PTs and very frendly as well. Cons: for the membership fee the gym is lacking some features like pipes that don't leak for 2 weeks (resulting in buckets all over the place, especially the past weeks (May, 2024)), missing TVs here and there, no refreshments, only 4 (maybe 5?) 10kg plates, not enough bars to accommodate even medium customer loads on semi-busy afternoons. Usually there are also at least 5 broken or bent lockers and locker lock levers at a time - one of them even ruined the bend of my lock when i tried to close it. So overall not the best, but at least the staff is good.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. I've been to most public gyms in the Ealing area consistently for about 3 years and this one is my favourite. The location is good and is easy for me to get to, there's free parking included in the membership, staff are always friendly and the other members are always willing to help others out as well. In the future it would be nice to see more variation of equipment (if the space permits) and more 5kg plates as I always feel like I'm struggling to find them.

Negative experience: Tried to cancel membership over 2 weeks before renewal and they informed me that I have to pay for the next 2 months which is ridiculous for a loyal customer who’s been going for over a year. They also have a bad problem with locals hanging around and breaking into the gym. Avoid if you can.

Positive experience: I really enjoy coming to this gym. It may be smaller than other gyms but the equipment is sufficient for a good workout - both weights and cardio. I really enjoy the classes that I attend (spin and pilates) and find them motivating. Friendly and helpful staff, plus there is free parking! I have given 4 stars as the only thing that that I would criticise is sometimes the female changing rooms can be a bit dirty and unhygienic.

Negative experience: Gym classes are oversubscribed and limited. The dance class instructor was my favourite and they've ended those and poor replacement class. Gym is always busy.

Fantastic experience: The most therapeutic place for me, it's a complete gym with fine equipment and absolutely the most interesting are the PTs. They are extremely helpful and courteous to their members and quite often when necessary, they will help without even asking. Big thanks to Ilya,Lucas, Kia and Issam who are top tier and have always helped me countless times.

Negative experience: Update: gym manager has seen my review and contacted me. He handled my complaint very professionally and took all necessary measures to resolve it. I appreciate the effort he exerted to make things right and also to assure me that it will not happen again. I had a terrible experience at this gym, followed no custumer service at all. no one responded to complains, mails or phone calls, no one cared to resolve the problem. I suspended my membership last month

Positive experience: I really want to like this gym more than I do. Clientele and staff are all friendly, but it's over subscribed for the space, especially for weight machines and dumbbells (which there is only one set of). Some odd use of space, like a massive frame which seems hardly used. Think a redesign of the space, and investment in some new cardio equipment and a cap on membership would really help.

Negative experience: Company referred me to debt collectors when I never used their facilities - hidden terms and conditions in the contract as well as misleading advertising of offers are just scratching the surface. Beware of this gym.

Positive experience: Basic gym which has had some recent improvements. Bit too crowded across different times of the day, can lead to a lot of waiting for equipment. Gym is decent enough but internet connection is poor although this isn't a fault on the gym itself, the area has poor connection speeds p.s not ideal if you have apps on your phone that connect to a diabetes sensor and require a strong internet connection.

Negative experience: Where's the Wi-Fi? Edit: I would recommend a 5g modem with external antenna and a few wifi repeaters especially in the 'corner' areas. Sounds doable and good Christmas Present for all :)

Negative experience: Rude gym with rude staff, and if you tell the manager he shouts at you and blames you (oftentimes also tried to get physical as well). Very toxic, people will fight you to use the equipment or over nothing at all. Again, in this matter, the manager will blame you. I was given trophies by this gym etc at one point, totally gone downhill and is as passive aggressive as they come now.. Totally underhandedly ran gym, and as I say, you can’t even tell them when or if the equipment needs changing - it doesn’t, for the simple reason the manager is always right and runs the place with fear - DO NOT GO. Agree with other comments that manager is a bully, and that the customer service number and complaints service for this brand is nonexistent and doesn’t work!! I mean people are even allowed to come in and interrupt classes violently and get away with it because the manager runs the place like a prison yard, which, incidentally, the place being so small (and aggressive) looks exactly like! FYI: The awards I got were Member of the Month and Member of the Year. When I last complained about the violence in gym to the manager he refused to look at the CCTV and tried to FIGHT ME over it.. This is not a friendly environment, I shan’t be going to this gym anymore. Additional: A lot of the abuse I got in the gym from multiple people was slurs about mental illness, which the manager refused to investigate further and in fact threw back at me when I complained. For the record, and incidentally, I do not have or suffer from mental illness - but you may wish to avoid the degradation in this gym. As I’ve already stated the manager is physically unsafe, bullies staff and members alike - both I’ve witnessed or been a party to (sadly..).

Negative experience: My experience with this gym was very disappointing. Staff is not available and when they are and I asked to sort an issue with the app they said to speak to the manager, I emailed never got a reply. I really liked the spin class but limited spaces and I couldn’t even book for the issues with the app. Some of the instructors seemed quite lazy and disengaged .

Negative experience: Poor poor poor experience. Rude staff. Had to dispute with bank. Overcharged and was met with angry, belligerent staff despite proof. Do not recommend.

Positive experience: Great gym for its size and price. Has all the equipment you could need and has fab staff members. Can get very busy during peak hours but I have no issues in the morning.

Positive experience: I've switched gyms after using energie for a while because although it's a good basic starter gym, the equipment is really feeling its age and it's too busy to feel like a wholly enjoyable experience. I've changed to a gym that's not that much more expensive, for a huge upgrade in equipment and fewer ego lifters. If you're only going to the gym for cardio, however, it has loads of treadmills and rowing machines, but no stairmaster.

Negative experience: lack of customers service aside, owners are greedy and have not fixed anything in years, gym is small and can get occupied fast they don’t set limit on anything either, will make a case for local council to investigate! Left this gym now good luck people

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this gym. I’ve been going on and off for three years and it’s always been consistent. There’s something for everyone and it has a very local feel to it which makes it warm and welcoming. The staff are all great and I’ve recently started making use of the classes they offer, have no idea why it took me so long to discover them as they’re a brilliant way to start/end the day!

Owners of this franchise should be ashamed of themselves for not caring about this gym, after 2 years of wasting time here I’ve cancelled my membership they threatened to sue me for posting this online which is absurd.

Positive experience: Great little gym, when there's a deal on it's highly worth it. Has parking, good weight machines inside. Not worth the usual price tag of £38 though. If you sign up for a month also, somewhere in the t&c mentions that it's actually a lock in of two months so that got me out but a decent gym overall. All the staff are super friendly and helpful too

Negative experience: Shocking, they close the gym for an entire weekend and leave a note on the locked door... Interestingly they can send me loads of marketing emails. It's not the first time this happened either... Please respect your members time and email them in advance when the gym is closed.

Pins bent in cable machine, lack of bench's and free weights. I went once and that was all i could take. have re-joined with Pure Gym as they offer a far better service even though they are a bit further away the equipment is a lot better. a few suggestions - if you want to charge that amount maybe update the equipment or lower the fee with what you offer currently. also maybe check your signs you have around as the spelling is incorrect on some. ( this isn't as important as the Equipment).

Negative experience: EDIT: The roof has not one but two leaks, the older one of which has been unresolved for a month, and there are machines out of order for weeks at a time. What is even going on? Original review: I have been a member for about a year now, and honestly, if there was another gym within the 20-minute walking range of my apartment, I would switch in a heartbeat. It is way too expensive (£35pm) for lacking equipment (unless you do cardio), no food or drink options (not even a vending machine), a very imprecise entry system, and mediocre facilities and service. Both of the gyms I previously subscribed to in areas with comparable economic situations to Brentford cost me around £20 per month and had way more to offer. The only upside is the clientele, but that is purely due to the location of the gym.
