Fantastic experience: Really nice gym and fitness classes, good value for money

Negative experience: I have been coming to this gym for all most 2 years and I have recently harassed by a fellow female telling that on that day I walked as usual , that now there has been rules to be followed and I was the first person to about them yet, there was no posters saying anything about these rules. I did not understand out of nowhere was followed a round . People who are regularly coming in are friendly but the staff here ain't talking to customers with no manners or any form of professionalism as if we don't pay a fortune to be in this gym .

Fantastic experience: Lots of activities and friendly staff

Fantastic experience: A really great place to keep fit, keep active and take care of yourself. Can recommend in particular the gym, the swimming sessions and if you are looking to improve your fitness but take care of your joints aqua aerobics is great!

Positive experience: After the refurb it's a good quality little gym, has some great new equipment, only downside is the low ceilings so can't to proper pull-ups, good price though for the offer.

Fantastic experience: Lovely clean gym, new equipment, staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money as it includes the classes and access to the pool.

Negative experience: I will not recommend this centre to any one, very poor customer service before even start to use the place, walked in asked for pool only membership and for sure the sales person suggested full membership and I declined, but still charged me for full use membership. As my bank recommended to call them after I cancelled my direct debit the answer was thank for letting us know and goodbye, not even look on the system to see that this customer registered a month a go and now leaving!! very poor customer service for a big centre like that

Positive experience: Great facilities for swimming and gym/classes. Staff are really friendly and keep the centre clean and tidy.

Negative experience: Unfortunately won't be coming back as I burnt.my hand wile using wall hair dryer the worst thing twice and last time was badly puttoghter with a tape and the Manager didn't even care ! It's a massive safety issue

Negative experience: Pool water quality is disgusting. Keep getting throat and ear infections and diahorrea. Cancelling my membership.

Negative experience: Xmas eve and I wanted to use the gym so I specifically checked the website to see what time they opened. It said 7.30 so I arrived to be told we don’t open until 8.00. I pointed out what the website said and was told “ you will have to wait sir”. Had to get on with Xmas duties so left very unhappy. Very polite but dreadful customer experience and not a hint of an apology

Fantastic experience: Badminton courts clean and lighting good

Negative experience: Useless customer service. They don't listen and have had problems with my membership for months. Basically robbing me . No supervising staff in the gym and various equipment is broken.

Positive experience: First time there but staff very pleasant and helpful and the facilities very good.

Positive experience: Hay only used the pool. Very friendly and helpful reception people. Pin number lockers. Individual and family sized changing cubicles. 25m pool has giant clocks one actual time and one sweeping hand for length timing. There's always a lifeguard. Lots of parking space. Snacks and drinks vending machines. (Hot drinks one managed by offsite company stole my money - no drink!).

Negative experience: Place is run down, gym is dirty and falling apart. No chance of booking on a class or getting a parking space at busier times. Gym changing rooms are a joke. Music played in the gym is excruciating painful. Terrible place and one to avoid!

Negative experience: We go to a lot of different council pools and they’re normally very helpful. Would not recommend for anyone with additional needs. My son is autistic and they were not helpful at all when we used the pool.

Positive experience: Amazing great for for the little once’s because they are a shallow up to less than a mear but 8 and above can you the pool up to neater. Price is ok to go swimming but Google’s floats and swimming suit are up to £50 Thank you my review From not saying

Negative experience: Customer service is extremely poor they have a lady who is aggressive in the gym, speaks to people out of turn. Complaints to management and nothing has changed.

Positive experience: It does what it says on the tin but very little more. You can tell that it's a council service. Staff friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: I like the Leisure Centre, it has a pool which is easy to book now they've got rid of that terrible Term time/not term time rota. It was so confusing. To take my rating up to 5 stars it would need to be a bit cleaner, the showers and toilets are in need of updating and I wish the gym wouldn't leave the TV's on CBBC & Milkshake?? Why don't they change it? XD Lastly, it would be great to see some earlier exercise classes that people could do before work. Eg Kettlebells/spin class/ body pump at 6:30,6:45 or 7am?

Fantastic experience: Henbury leisure centre offer lots of varied and enjoyable classes for all ages and ability. The aqua fit with Sam who's an amazing instructor is a favourite and highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Great 6.30am Morning Lane swim today at Henbury. My first time here, easy booking system online the evening before, really friendly reception staff pointed the way and a quite ish pool with only 3 people in my lane. Perfect!

Fantastic experience: Above and beyond!! Paul Murray saw me coming into the car park an hour after closing today as I was having trouble booking me daughters swimming lessons. Not wanting me to miss the slot he opened back up and spent 15 minutes booking it all in for me when he could have been on his way home. Massive thanks and definitely customer service of another level!!

Negative experience: Only half the pool available for family swim and too many people crammed in. My son is just getting used to swimming and was having to navigate around crowds of other swimmers while getting kicked and bumped into constantly.

Fantastic experience: Not bad, there are swimming pool, group classes. But small gym and not enough equipment.

Negative experience: I was refused the access to Henbury Everyone Active Leisure Centre based on the fact that I was unable to pay by card. It is highly discriminating. Unfortunately, my purse with all the payment cards was left at work and for this reason I could complete the payment by cash only. Two receptionists refused to accept the cash payment pleading the top- down ordinance not to accept the cash payments. I understand that business have the right to choose the preferable payment method however, the common sense needs to be applied, especially when the client has limited choices (for whatever the reason), otherwise the rule becomes an oppression and selective acceptance of the clients. Everyone Active webside along with their Equality and Diversity Policy claims that they are committed to providing services which embrace inclusivity, diversity and promote equality of opportunity however, the refusal of accepting a cash payment- legally accepted payment method within the UK, when no other payment method is available to the customer, proves opposite. It discriminates on the ground of payment method. It needs to be changed. I made a complaint through the everyone active webside, asking to change the rule. I will update here once I will hear from them.

Negative experience: Have tried calling 7 times today and can’t get through. Was charged for a not turning up at a class when I was there? Have phoned St Paul’s and they were excellent with helping me out. Disappointed with Henbury

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities and generally really helpful staff. Sometimes can be a bit slow when noone is at the desk, however, will always be really helpful when there! Also great at responding to online enquiries. Lovely place to go swimming.

Fantastic experience: Staff are friendly and helpful. It has a fairly standard no-frills rectangular 6 lane 25m pool, but for lane swimming that's fine. The gym is small but well-enough equipped, and friendly. Changing facilities are utilitarian but clean. I use it on PAYG, prices are pretty cheap, I recommend it! Plenty of parking, and convenient for buses too.

Negative experience: Great facilities but they need to make sure staff know how to use the computer systems. I made a booking for a badminton court but they messed it up and it didn't go through. Luckily I checked in advance to save players a wasted journey. Get the basics right please.

Negative experience: Review only for swimming pool: friendly staff, never really super busy, good for kids as the training pool is warm but my complaint is the pools are dirty. Sinus infection after sinus infection, and while swimming I just don’t want to see so much dirt floating around the water! It’s so off putting and unnecessary. Sort it out!

Positive experience: Staff are great, cleaning leaves a lot to be desired.some of the equipment is outdated.and dusty in places.3 out of 10

Negative experience: Place looks run down, some staff not trained very well, little inspection of building including state of bins etc, toilets literally falling apart, changing rooms are not big enough for me and my son unless you go into a huge room, coldest swimming pool I’ve ever experienced, website too confusing even when using the app, swimming lessons always charged at same rate even when they cancel or are shut, vending machines always broken or out of date goods vended and when I told the staff they got me a drink in date only to re fill the machine with all the out of date ones again. Literally only still go as my son enjoys his lessons there.

Negative experience: Hygiene is lacking, twice there has been over flowing nappy bins and nappies on the floor... I've had to request the teenage staff put down their crisps and giggling and hose down the changing rooms as there was dog poo where someone had walked it through. While my 4 year old was in her swimming lesson the staff were all stood at the fire exit eating and smoking in full view of the children in the pool and their parents ... I have sinced moved my children to horfield for their lessons .... 100% better.

Negative experience: Decent facilities, decent swimming pool. 2 stars only for confusing on opening time on Sundays. Once from 0730 and once from 0800 which is different of what says on the website. Has been waiting to get In a few times on the reception on Sunday morning

Positive experience: It's a good gym and pool considering that it's run by a useless, incompetent, corrupt council. Staff are nice. Reasonably priced.

Negative experience: Timetables are too complicated and full of errors. Its never clear if the pool is available or not and we end up making a journey to find the pool closed for ages. No one answer the phone.

Positive experience: Slightly higher then anticipated pricing on a small pool swim with my daughter. Pool temperature was perfect also the chlorine was very strong. Both myself and daughter dealt sickish due to swallowing too much chlorine which I think is much stronger then it used to be. Showers are perfect and plenty of secure changing areas and lockers.

Positive experience: Used to attend Henbury school in the "80s and the local swimming pool on crow lane. This development is a well thought out and resourced amalgamation of the local public facilities. The school looks better as one building, and benefits from the improved facilities provided by a fully equipped leisure centre. Car park could do with a few more spaces, in order to stop people parking on the main road or grass verges during busy times.
