Negative experience: The club is always either closed or open for a very short time. It’s never open on Sundays—ridiculous!

Negative experience: Came to visit this location from the US with my all access membership and got denied by the front desk. They did not even show the courtesy of showing me the club. That tells you how Equinox treats its members. DO NOT JOIN EQUINOX

Fantastic experience: Good gym and friendly staff, Nick was great during the sign up process and the place is always clean. Would highly recommend if you want a less crowded gym with good clean equipment. Their laundry service is also great

Negative experience: Over priced WAY over priced Definitely not for serious gym goers this one. I live just round the corner and had the misfortune to train here recently. Zero gains by the looks of it. I want a gym with atmosphere not people on there phones watching netflix. Avoid.

Negative experience: Absolutely ridiculous opening hours. Very hostile to all night people. A gym should be open AT LEAST until 23:00 every day.

Positive experience: Most luxurious gym of London. The only missing thing is a pool.

Negative experience: My New York membership advisor said that I have access to all London clubs. I show up to E having planned my day around it and get denied at the entrance. I get it but feels unnecessarily strict for members of the community. Expecting more from a membership that I pay $350/month for.

Positive experience: Accidentally stumbled in here thinking it was part of my destination membership. I’m from New York, so perhaps the other London locations aren’t that great, as the gym looks like any other Equinox for the most part. It looks like it was converted from an old bank, so the marble walls give it a nice touch. However, I’m not really sure why it wouldn’t be included in an all access membership. Asked what the staff what the added benefits of the club were and didn’t get any solid answers. Seems like a way to just wring money out of rich dumb dumbs who will blindly pay. Kind of annoyed it wasn’t labeled in the app that I didn’t have access, so I made the trip for nothing.

Fantastic experience: Luxurious small private gym which has a lot to offer. Friendly welcoming staff from receptionist to PT trainers. There is also a small shopping area for training essentials both for female/male and coffee shop/shake bar. Would highly recommend especially if you value the privacy, attention to detail and high class service.

Negative experience: Doesn’t say it’s a limited access . Have destination membership and walked to the closest equinox and was turned down by receptionist . Please, make sure you warn people of the access restrictions

Negative experience: £400+/month but gym has no chest press and no shoulder press

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. If you enjoy working out and don’t mind spend a small fortune on fitness, this place is for you. Such a wonderful place.

Fantastic experience: Most beautiful and luxurious gym in London. Never crowded, offers amazing classes, sauna, amenities, gym clothes cleaning and storage, events and more. Only downside is that it’s closed on Sunday and Saturday afternoon. Still- has been my gym for 4 years, wouldn’t change it.

Negative experience: Lack of courtesy and flexibility with the staff. If you are thinking about spending an arm and leg for this premium gym, think again -- you will not get the level of customer support you are signing up for.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Laundry service and HIIT classes are excellent and sort of make up for the excessive price.

Negative experience: Have been a member of Equinox for about 10 years in the states, and as a member had pass for guests. Previously purchased daily pass in other locations. When visiting London asked at this location for weekly pass.There is absolutely no way to access the club for only a week, only year memberships. It is unfortunate and negative as a service to customers, to not provide daily or weekly access, or even worse to not let experience the Club before joining.

Negative experience: DO NOT COME TO THIS GYM!!i The reception staff is INCOMPETENT (Jenna to be specific), this has been by far the most frustrating experience I have ever had in my entire life. As a member trying to figure out a membership upgrade not only were they not able to do it for me but lack the skills to even listen to what I was asking. This gym might as well be moved to the worst town in London cause they are sure already providing a level of service that matches.

Negative experience: Very unfriendly. I work at one of the locations in America and was visiting London and wanted to have a look around. I was turned away because I wasn’t interested in membership.. looks like a nice Equinox but I’ll never know for sure.

Negative experience: After an efficient and positive initial enquiry via email and telephone I was looking forward to joining Equinox E. I arrived early at 12.45 for a pre-booked 1pm appointment. I was shown to the seating area and offered a drink but unfortunately 30 minutes later I was still sat waiting and decided to leave. Nobody came to apologies for the delay or bothered to update me or check in. The guy at reception was oblivious despite showing me to the seating area 30minutes prior and never came over or checked. I never got to meet Nick who my appointment was with although he emailed me later to apologise (unfortunately addressed to the wrong person). Maybe just a breakdown in communication but albeit I should have been updated at the very least. Don’t keep someone waiting who’s about to sign up to £3k a year membership. This review will hopefully make them aware that the service they offer needs to live up to the luxury atmosphere and price tag. They lost a member thy day as I later joined Third Space.

Fantastic experience: Extremely posh, extremely expensive to join. More of a lifestyle and conspicuous consumption gym than dedicated to fitness

Fantastic experience: I joined the gym in September and it is an amazing facility. Upbeat and helpful team. They do your laundry for you, and keep your gym kit. Also they stretch you out after a work-out without charging. all equipment is new. I never liked going to gyms before this one. When you look at the fee make sure to factor in all the benefits, and skip a few meals out a month to pay for it. Worth it! So it gets 5 stars!

Negative experience: Wasted a lot of time getting to this club just to find out it's not included in the destination membership. They should be able to occasionally make an exception since it does not show anywhere in the app that this is the case.

Fantastic experience: Latest additionntonthr equinox brand in London. Slightly more expensive than the usual equinox membership but for that extra money you get quieter classes and more free equipment in the middle of saint James.

Fantastic experience: Excelent

Positive experience: Outside of the marble façade and the laundry service the gym doesn’t really offer any premium services worthy of the price tag. The locker rooms feel cramped even with the reduced membership; the steam room, sauna and showers are ho hum; the café atmosphere is not particularly inviting and the food is average; and the weekend hours are pitiful (open until 1 on sat and closed on sun). E feels stuck in the middle, its seemingly trying to provide a premium alternative to third space but asks of its members to pay up to give up weekends, pool/climbing wall, class availability etc in exchange for slightly nicer amenities. Yet the elevated price tag makes it comparable to South Ken, KX, Ned, etc all of which have more to offer than just a gym (plus are open on the weekends). Its not to say the gym is bad, its quite a nice gym and the staff is fantastic, its just not great. I recently came back from a couple of trips to nyc where I visited a few equinox locations and I couldn’t help but feel that so many of the normal equinox gyms in nyc are much more vibrant and generally better.
