Fantastic experience: My two grandchildren attend a Monday evening swimming class with the teacher called Karen. They are not confident swimmers and she has been great at developing their confidence and skills in the water. She makes them laugh and helps them feel relaxed and it has been lovely to see how her approach has supported the boys in feeling more relaxed and confident. All the teachers seem calm, and great with the children. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: If not a member can book swim sessions a week in advance and pay online. Free parking before 8am and after 6pm. Lifeguard always present at pool side. 20p non refundable lockers in changing rooms. Showers available. Can put bags by pool side if you forget your 20p. Water sometimes on the cool side but once in and swimming, all good.

Positive experience: Really needs updating. Feels like stepping back into the 90's. Otherwise friendly staff, nice range of equipment and good classes

Positive experience: OK for what you need, gym equipment in the main courts?what on earth. Leisure center or health and fitness? Not alot of kids activities and what happened to the epic roller disco? Now it's just a hall with too much gym equipment obviously so they have to put it in the main hall. Weird but still a 4 star. Staff are very nice tho well done guys. I'm not going to add pics as il recommend people go have a look and make up you own mind. Great if you bowel tho. No gym stuff in there,,,,, yet lol

Negative experience: Just came out if swimming and water was really cold. Even in changing rooms all radiators were turned off. Now I'm sitting in my car shivering. I told girl at reception also and said I hope I won't be sick tonight. Really unhappy ☹️.

Fantastic experience: Been going swimming and gym for a month now and love it. Some much new equipment at the gym. Good classes. The app is easy to book slots. Love the swimming and sauna. I got a deal on my membership so keep an eye on good promotions.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff too many facilities to list. The gym has everything for all muscle groups and plenty of CV equipment. There are lots of fun classes. I tried yoga for the first time here and I had a great time.

Negative experience: The program is really annoying on the weekend. Is just till 6pm, it used to be 8pm. Someone's going home early in the weekend

Fantastic experience: This is a really good sports complex with a large sports hall. The staff are very helpful. There is a gym and spinning suite here. This sports hall can be hired. Lockers are available to use here. The swimming pool is seerste from the main complex. It was very clean and had good covid 19 restrictions.

Fantastic experience: My daughter works at Castle Pool and I often take my granddaughter to her swimming lesson. Always very clean changing facilities and staff always welcoming and friendly. My granddaughter's teacher, Elizabeth, is fantastic with all the children and second to none with extremely nervous and frightened children. My granddaughter actually smiled the entire lesson today.

Negative experience: A very dated building with dated facilities, no diving boards and a very shallow deep end. minimal staff levels and overall run down and tired surroundings. council cuts have a side effect and here it is in all its glory. if you do visit here then park on the street outside as it is free parking, if you use the carpark you will be charged for parking.

Positive experience: Looks as if it is just surviving. From what I gathered the council are not helping in any way. It feels as if they are looking to do something else with the building??

Positive experience: Only use the gym but it's adequate. Not the most modern but keeps me fit and I like going there. Some new equipment added now, so that's good.

Positive experience: Although the pool and areas were relatively clean it is very dated and tired and it doesn't leave you with the feeling of wanting to come back. Certainly needs a lot of investment. I was advised to swim to helps with a disability and weight management but I found it difficult. There was also very little detail about changing facilities and support on the website. It wouldn't take a lot to explain this. Given that we are being asked to wash our hands often due to Covid I was quite suprised to find with the exception of the rinsing showers you couldn't have a proper shower after your swim. I think that given the new and upcoming development in Spalding it would be good for the community if some investment was given to enhance the centre. After all, we are reminded every day on the cost of rising cases of obesity. On a positive note the booking system works well meaning the pool is not too overcrowded and the staff were polite.

Negative experience: Hypothermia risk to babies and toddlers! Used to love this place however after two successful swims in the ‘learner pool’ where the temperature pool was of above the minimum 30* (logged as 32*) for babies and toddlers - YESTERDAY IT WAS NOT and it barely read 29* When I questioned it through concern about my baby using the pool I was met with a rude and dismissive staff stating it was regarded an ok temperature. As my baby has been absolutely loving swimming time I thought I’d reluctantly try her in the colder than usual feeling water after being told it was fine by staff, however as much fun as she was having in less than 5 minutes her skin colour went pale white with her hands and feet showing to be turning blue so I got her out the pool instantly. A suitable healthy temperature of a pool was for babies of 4 months plus and toddlers is a minimum of 30* as it had been the last couple of uses. Ideally a pool aimed at young children should be a minimum of 30* with and ideal of 32* if used but toddler and babies therefore this ‘learner pool’ which size wise is designed for toddler and babies is not meeting this standard. When I raised this with the manager how it has upset me how my baby has enjoyed a health swim on two previous occasions and I wanted her to continue using the pool, I was met with an equally dismissive and rude manager that didn’t see the issue with it being this temperature in a pool mainly used by toddlers and babies I think it’s best others know not to put their children at risk with this inconsistent temperature regulation. I also do not advise this pool is used by any babies or toddlers unless you want you risk them getting hypothermia!

Positive experience: After hearing bad reports I was pleasantly surprised how clean the ladies changing rooms were. The water temperature was fine. However some of the vending machines were not working so i couldn't get a cuppa after my swim.

Positive experience: A basic 25m pool with a separate kids pool. Changing rooms in need of modernising

Positive experience: Clean place, pool wasn't that warm, even after leaving and re-entering. Lots of lifeguards on duty. You can't swim the full oil if children have armbands on. It didn't make me want to go back

Positive experience: It's not the best swimming pool but its absolutely fine for swimming lessons and a splash about with the kids. I think ppl expect a 5* all singing all dancing pool maybe if it was a brand new complex but its not at all. Perfect to let the kids burn off some energy, staff friendly and welcoming too.

Fantastic experience: Joined a month ago and really enjoying the facility. Plenty of treadmills, always 1 available. Free weights and machines for a good workout. Excellent pool as well.

Fantastic experience: I was so impressed with the friendly and helpful staff - especially the diligence of Sian who was cleaning the changing rooms. The whole place was clean, effective showers and a blue clear pool at an excellent temperature to swim in. Well done Spalding staff, it may be an older pool, but I come from Devon and you could teach our public owned swimming pools a thing or two about how to be customer focused and run a great facility that is a pleasure to use.

Fantastic experience: The whole experience is fantasic. From the first meeting with the sales staff to the expert guidence from the PT's I would recommend this place to anyone. The prices are increbily reasonable for what they offer. You would be a fool not to join!
