Negative experience: Guys very careful whoever used jacuzzi i caught deadly virus from jacuzzi,I have been sick since I last time I went to gym.I went gym last Sunday used the facilities like jacuzzi after gym,next morning I woke up with deadly virus in my body.I suffer a lots and the day I went to jacuzzi was super hot,I don’t think so management look after much now days,I think gym has new management which those guys don’t look after anymore.how come the jacuzzi became super hot.I was so hot after I was feeling like my body fully burn.if they clean the jacuzzi very often I wouldn’t have caught the virus it wouldn’t go into my body.

Negative experience: Disgusting gym got a parking ticket for using my own gyms car park despite following all rules and putting in my number plate, the staff are 0 help and refuse to take it up to the bosses. Stay far away disgusting thieving company with terrible hygiene, facilities always not working or need maintenance despite never updating members

Negative experience: Terrible gym and staff are useless, very rude and unhelpful and they do not offer free parking as they say as you can randomly get a pcn and be told to pay when parking is free for members, jacuzzi always out of order and the hallways very smelly and unhygienic. Facilities always out of use or under maintenance constantly and car park is always full and no space and many headaches with the car park operators and staff are useless!

Negative experience: What a dreadful customer service experience I had, spoke to one person on the phone about joining the gym, and was told to pop down with some ID like a driving license to be told I needed two forms of ID when I turned up with my address on one and the other to who I am, it plainly says both on my driving license. So they wouldn’t let me join, the girl at the gym had a rather bad attitude towards me, so I told her if this is the case I will go elsewhere which I have done without any ID just down the road in Puregym plus this is opened 24/7. So I’m glad you have such appalling staff especially in the customer experience sector, I have made the better decision now to join a much thriving gym to yours. By the way this was the Dagenham gym I’m referring to absolutely shocking staff for a desperate gym.

Positive experience: Needs money spending the pool to stop the leaks brining the ceiling down in the changing rooms etc. So many patches of repaired plasterboard.

Fantastic experience: Place is massive, the sauna, steam and swimming make this place worth it. All for £30 a month. They do need to invest in more weights and prioritise less in cardio related machines, there’s way too many.

Negative experience: One of the worst gyms I’ve ever been to. Mould on walls and stairs for over 6 months now and not yet been fixed. Very dirty, equipments are worn and falling apart. Rude and unprofessional staff!!! There is always a parking issue, unable to park cars and waiting for several minutes just to park car to access the gym and the over all quality of the gym is just terrible. Save your money and go elsewhere. An absolute joke for a “renowned” gym.

They have good facilities and amenities and I signed up straight away I can’t wait to use this place. The hygiene and general aesthetics could use a touch up but that’s me picking at straws about it all in all looks to be a wonderful fitness centre

Negative experience: Forced to sign a 12 month contract then after relocating had to continue paying membership. 15 mile policy in london is absurd no one is traveling from Wembley to go to a gym in East London. On top of that being bombarded with texts, calls and voicemails to resubscribe

Positive experience: I've been using this gym for over a year now. Good gym for the money you pay, but the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi could do with more of a regular clean

Negative experience: Yes it has everything, but the quality is what you get for a “cheap gym”. Pool, sauna need maintenance. Stairs leading to the pool make you feel like you’re walking through some backdoor prison. Shower heads feel like they’re about to break off, some of the doors don’t lock, and the showers themselves don’t feel clean. The changing room feels like you’ve teleported to back in early 2000s. It’s super depressing working out here. Gym floor itself is small with one squat rack, two benches, free weights and some machines. There is more focus on classes and cardio. It is a poor replica of the original “Gold’s Gym” from USA, the “Mecca of Bodybuilding”. It is a contract only gym, which is a further annoying thing - be prepared to be locked in for anywhere between 6-12 months. Cancellations are really frustrating, and only possible through long term injury (3mo+), relocation (15 miles away minimum), redundancy. If you’re coming from a Nuffield Health / Virgin Active, it will be a hard sell.

Positive experience: I tried to join but they wanted so much documents of proof of address I was un able to join since I am renting privately and don't have utility bills in my name .their behaviour is the usual symptoms of when a business success caused blind sided Ness towards their grassroot.

Fantastic experience: A very nice relaxation centre from Sauna to steam, swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym.

Negative experience: Under new management, the new manager has cut all the classes, manager refusing to provide email and point of contact for managers above him. Golds not interested in views of customer. Over 50 ladies upset and the instructor kindly communicated this on our behalf - so they sacked her after 25 years service. I will be contacting trading standards and financial ombudsman as my money has been taken under false pretences. This is not what I signed up to.. Save your money and find a different gym.

Positive experience: Really nice gym! Surprisingly large, with loads if equipment spread over 3 floors. The top floor has a swimming pool and there's a sauna on the second floor, which is perfect for recovering after a heavy session.

Positive experience: Pros: - I did like using the sauna and shower and the changing room was quite large. - Reasonably priced for what you get. Cons: - This gym needs a serious refurbishment. The decor is so outdated, it felt like being back in the early 2000s. I know it’s a small issue but I never felt happy walking around this gym with this dull decor. It’s one of the main reasons I wanted to leave this gym. - The car park is small and you will struggle to get a spot in peak hours leaving you to wait more than 10 minutes for a space to free up. - The weight area is very small, it should be much bigger. The cardio area next door has so many treadmills which don’t all get used even during peak hours. Maybe they should cut down on a few machines and swap the cardio machines to the weights area and the weights area to take over the large cardio section. That would be perfect. - It’s a contract only gym, I might’ve stayed a bit longer and may have grown to like it but I didn’t want to risk signing up to a 12 month contract so I quit during the cooling down period. - They have this stupid water dispenser machine which will only refill small bottles. If you carry a 1.5 litre + bottle you will have to bend it to get it to fit, and the machine stops filling it up after about 500ml and doesn’t refill straight away even if you remove the bottle and put it back. That was so annoying and unnecessary! - Place didn’t feel that clean.

Positive experience: This is an affordable gym that has pool, jacuzzi,steam room, and fitness couch .However, the facilities are very old, and mould has taken over stairs and walls.In case they don't do full renovation more and more people will end their membership on the end of the year contract.

Negative experience: Building feels like its going to collapse always water leaking. Showers are always broken and things take forever to repair. Overall gyms in poor condition. Good points it's not as busy as other gyms and it's clean in general. But equipment maintenance poor

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended, I was there for six months and my experience was good, it has a sauna and steam room which work every day, the gym also has good facilities, machines, I think it is very good for the price, it also has group classes . the only thing is that sometimes they let things deteriorate a bit and take a long time to fix them.

Positive experience: I’ve only used Golds for it’s Gym & Food facilities. The food is good, having all healthy and protein rich options and the staff there are friendly. The changing rooms are fine with plenty of lockers. A lot of cardio machines, though I do wish the weight section was a bit bigger. It Can get cramped during peak hours in that area. Good A/C in machine/cardio section. Unfortunately haven’t felt much, if any, air conditioning by the weights. Any machines that were out of service while I was there, were fixed by my next visit. Which I can’t say the same about other gyms. Overall, good amount of machines, Ok weights section & decent food. 3.5/5

Negative experience: The most appalling gym i’ve ever seen. Staff are friendly and helpful but this gym is in desperate need for renovation. - Very small gym area - Mould on ceiling in may areas - Locks on every single shower BROKEN - Only about 3 mats in the entire gym?? No mats available whenever you need them - One barbell squat pad in the entire gym which is completely worn out and unsafe to use? But there are 3 squat racks so why is there only one squat pad? - Sauna temperature is never consistent, one day it is hot, next day it will be cold and staff are clueless and say it is the same everyday which is completely untrue. - Sauna full of strong chemicals which burns your eyes. I haven’t been able to use the sauna more than 2 mins without tears coming out my eyes from the chemicals. - Carpark is in horrible condition. Gravel everywhere and massive pot holes. - Tissue dispensers in gym area always empty, never get filled. - They will randomly close the facilities such as jacuzzi without any prior notice

Fantastic experience: Top quality gym has everything you need from weights to fitness

Negative experience: The swimming pool is completely disgusting, I’ve got an ear infection due to the dirty water which is been partially replaced, if the members of staff would swim and had a look at the bottom of the pool would realise how dirty the water is. Jacuzzi has way too much chlorine in it due to water not being replaced(saving money and damage people health), shower area full of mould, even the showers where the pool is have mould above them.

Negative experience: You have great facilities under one roof. Could the management clean up the black mould between the female steam room and the showers. I don’t need to explain why. Other members mentioned they have complained for months. Please do something about it ASAP considering it’s a facility that should promote health and well being we shouldn’t have this going on this long.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym! The facilities are top-notch, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Mustafa, the receptionist, is outstanding – he goes above and beyond to help all members feel welcome and supported. And if you need a post-workout pick-me-up, the cafe inside the gym serves some of the best coffee and healthy snacks around. Highly recommend this gym – and Mustafa and the cafe – for an exceptional fitness experience!

Negative experience: The Gym is Not Bad, but their policy is awful. I have to interrupt my debit direct because of pregnancy. I am not going to the gym already few months. I am pregnant in 5 months. Today I was there to let them know and guess what? Today is 19, I paid on 1st of November and now I have to pay one more month (1st of December) before to stop my direct debit. This sound as a joke, as from my bank app I can’t do it as well, as they said this will affect my credit score. It doesn’t make any sense. Anyway, I am not going to comeback to them anymore, even I intended to do it after.

Negative experience: I've been using this gym for the last 4 months and if you want to know what type of service you will be getting you can tell by the way you are greeted and welcomed from the receptionist. You will be lucky to even get a hi, they are miserable like they have been forced to sit there. Lack in communication and people skills.I have to say that the gym have alot of facilities but they are not well maintained and lack in hygiene.The swimming pool is dirty and not filtered properly by the looks of it.The sauna doesn't have a deep clean done as you can tell by the mould and damp smell. All the mens shower heads need to be replaced. The jacuzzi and mens sauna has been out of order for weeks. Staff have no idea when it will be back up and running there is no communication with customers by informing them. There is alot of potential for the gym however clearly management needs to be changed. I would advise customers who would be joining to take alook around first properly before joining.

Negative experience: Bar never has consistent opening times, the equipment is always broken. Was a member for a while then left for 2 years, I came back a month again and nothing has changed yet they charge more. Same equipment but less access to them as they’re broken

Negative experience: I have been going to this club for almost 5 months. This is one of my biggest mistakes in life. The ceiling is leaking and the ceiling is almost falling, but the administration solves this issue by putting a bucket in a place where everything drips! The sauna does not work for 5 days in a row and no one reports about , exercise machines from the time of Schwarzenegger in the locker room and in the area where the sauna is always dirty, empty bottles are lying around. Do not repeat my mistake, do not buy a membership!

Then, as I wrote, I went home. what right do you have to deduct money from my bank account if I don’t go to your gym. you asked for a confirmation of the address, I sent it over a month ago, but you still rob me and take my money, I will turn to the authorities, since you have no right to do so. and give my money back to my account or I'll go to my law

Negative experience: Website is uninformative/interactive. I emailed for membership info and 3 weeks later still no reply. Have used the gym before and can say it's good with large gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi lots of classes and swimming pool (which is over-chlorinated and makes eyes water).

Negative experience: Very poor, everything is breaking down, today all showers not working, sauna room dirty and smelling if body order, why trading trans Arfa haven’t closed it down I will never know? very unhygienic gym.. definitely don’t recommend it regardless of price. Positive experience: It's got everything you need but let's itself down. The jacuzzi breaks down constantly and it's weeks before it's repaired. The steam or the sauna rooms constantly don't work. There are repairs needed such as the locks on the showers ..soap dispensers missing... the electric machine- to ring out the water from your swimsuit is off the wall in the ladies changing room.. when I spoke to reception I was told that will never be fixed. It could be an excellent ️‍♂️ with a swimming ‍♀️ and steam room and sauna. Classes. Gym. Tanning machine. Spin classes. Etc All under one roof, most gyms do not offer this. Why not repair things immediately and tidy it up a bit. Although on the positive the monthly subscription is only 27.99 (2022) and you have to sign up for a year.

Negative experience: Been at this gym for 10 years as it’s the nearest to me. I used to love it but it has gone very downhill now. There is only 2 mats which are never free so can never stretch or do any mat exercises & also don’t provide half as many classes as they used to. Considering moving gyms now….
