Fantastic experience: Used the Juvenate Health and Leisure facilities for the past couple of weeks while staying in East Midlands, the staff were friendly, professional and made us feel very welcome, especially the lovely Hannah, an overall great experience! looking forward to returning in the near future:)

Positive experience: Would be 5 stars if they hadn't positioned a smoking area right outside the main entrance so I'm forced passively smoke before taking a swim or doing a workout ☹️

Fantastic experience: I attended as a visitor last week and found the club to be very inviting. The pool and facilities were great and the atmosphere positive.

Negative experience: I have been very disappointed with the service at this leisure centre. There has been many incidents. My husband cut his big toe in the pool. It was bleeding a lot. No first aid treatment given, I had to go and ask for the necessary assistance. No health and safety procedures followed. Still no outcome . The leisure centre assistance was brushing the dirt from the sides of the pool into the swimming pool. No regards to health for the users of the pool. Another occasion the pool was dirty, you could not see the bottom. Photo attached. Please be careful in joining this establishment. The steam room has a gap at the bottom of the door. This allows cold air to come in. I have been told by Adam the regional manager that’s how it is. Therefore it’s cold in there. How can you use the steam room if it’s cold?? The facilities there are good but they always seem to have issues.

Negative experience: used a free taster pass with the intentions of joining. gym- very small and basic, not much equipment on offer. pool- ok size, weird shape but nice temperature! strange how reception is in the same room :// sauna- small but nice jacuzzi- out of use steam room- out of use overall a bit disappointing

Positive experience: Its ok, I went to the hotel spar as a guest with the intentions of joining. The little pool is fab, especially identifying quiet times for my little boy but to come alone none of the other facilities are available. Sauna, jacuzzi or steam room. There is no music for the gym either. I don't think il join up, just pay as you go as a guest.

Positive experience: What makes this better than it is, are the staff, Zoe who welcomed us for the morning is just lovely, she explained everything, answered any questions we had and was just a lovely person to chat to, so our time here felt very welcome. The facilities are not huge or amazing, the pool has a funny lump in the middle preventing the pool from being oblong and adds nothing to the pool aside from removing previous space. The jacuzzi is great, lovely and warm and comfortable, if you are a guest then it’s a perfect addition as I’m guessing people don’t come and have their two week holiday here. It’s inexpensive and if you see it for what it is you can have a very pleasant and relaxing time.

Positive experience: A relatively small gym, with limited equipment. However, it's always nice and quiet so you can use what you want. Spa / pool / sauna / stream / hot tub is great to use also.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful gym. Firstly, there are swimming lessons there all the time so you can't use the pool without having to dodge kids, so don't bother. Secondly, the parents of said kids traipse round the changing rooms and leave mud all over the gaff. The gym is tiny with about 6 machines, no barbells and what it does have looks like they were bought in the early 90s. The sauna and steam room have an inch long gap under the door, which is ridiculous. It therefore doesn't keep any heat in, especially in the steam room. The stream room's bench is all jagged and there are holes in the ceiling. Honestly, I would not advise going to this gym, even if you're staying in the hotel. The only saving grace that has stopped this being 0 star is the member of staff told me that my parking could be validated, so that I didn't need to pay the extortionate fees.

Positive experience: Went for the Groupon afternoon tea and Spa package. Really great value for money! Not given 5stars as would not class this as a "spa" but for the price I wouldn't expect it to be. Afternoon tea was tasty and there was plenty to eat.
