Fantastic experience: Good level of equipment and facilities in this Active Leisure centre. Swimming pools are large and well run with lanes at times. Plenty changing space. Gym is well equipped and soon(Nov. 24) to be refurbished. Helpful friendly staff. Also run children's parties.

Negative experience: Treated rudely by assistant manager Sam when a full hot chocolate fell out of the vending machine and soaked my shoes and jeans. No apology and told me it had never happened before. Lovely Lottie tried to tell him yes it had happened before and to say he was curt with her is an understatement. Did get my money back and an apology from Lottie who is very sweet. Very poor people skills.

Negative experience: The most disgusting gym, i have ever seen, dust on the more workout machines, and also broken machines!, The worst thing is the gym manager is very rude and unpolite, gets in ur way and stares at you while u work out absolutely creep!. if u are here to work out this is not the PLACE!!

Positive experience: Our grandson wanted to come to the diving session here on a Sunday. He had fun. Well organised and no pushing and shoving amongst the people waiting to jump/dive. Wish there had been a cafe where we could have bought a tea or coffee while we sat and watched. A vending machine is insufficient.

Positive experience: I go swimming here and it's a decent enough pool. The main problem is the opening hours, there are precious few ordinary swimming sessions, if you just turn up, it's odds on you won't get into the water.

Positive experience: We decided to visit Kingswood leisure centre on a Sunday afternoon for the diving board session. It's really cheap for a great afternoon indoor swimming and it's never too busy. On this visit only the 1 and 3 meter boards were open, but that didn't dampen our spirits and off we went for some diving fun. You can feel relaxed as lifeguards are always on duty and the diving area is sectioned off to prevent wayward swimmers. There is good access for wheelchair users and there is a nice viewing area for spectators. There are also plenty of vending machines for refreshments.

Fantastic experience: Had a 7th birthday party there on the weekend, rented a room after. Kids had a ball ,and the staff were great !!

Negative experience: The filthiest swimming pool changing facilities on earth. mud on tiles at 9:30 on Saturday! Lots of signs asking people wear shoe covers but 90% ignore them. Management’s fault ? Why do they not enforce it more! Idiots washing their kids wearing dirty trainers! What’s wrong with you people??

Positive experience: Our visits are always to use the badminton and squash courts. The badminton nets are always set ready and there is usually sufficient seating available for a quick sit and drink between games. In the summer it gets very hot. They need to cool the hall by opening the exits early. The squash courts play fine but are very tired. Could do with a refresh. All in all very useable.

Negative experience: Really bad place No curtian or privacy for shower room cabins need coin to lock your cloths Limited to 45min swimming

Negative experience: Great pool, but needs a good clean. The showers don't really work and the toilets smell really bad. The staff are great though !

Negative experience: Do not go if you plan to play Squash. the court isn't looked after at all. When we arrived the court was covered in food, lego, tables and chairs. We ended up helping clean the place up, this ate into our session time. There is nothing worse than losing a round because your squash ball hits a rogue slice of cucumber. It is a shame as this is a great central location to meet.

Positive experience: Okay average gym, people in this area are nice and are very will the engage if you ask, have a lovely swimming area which is okay but just doesn’t feel 4 star worthy yet

Negative experience: Possibly the worst website I've ever used! Such a faff to book anything .. Please sort it out

Negative experience: I purchased a 12-month contract, and after six months I wanted to cancel my contract, but that was very difficult. I didn't go to the gym most of the time. I would advise you to think before you decide , as there is no way to cancel afterwards. The last month's payment, the company deducted my monthly cost and then refunded it, informing me a few days later that I had to pay for the last month plus interest. I was charged interest because I had missed a payment by several days. I am embarrassed by the charging system. All I have lost is money and no pleasure.

Negative experience: The smallest soft play I have ever seen with toilets and cafe literally the other side of the building. Will not be coming back here.

Positive experience: Best time to go to the gym in the morning, less busy, none of the brats sat on the equipment on their phones. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful.

Positive experience: I thought I’d leave a review about the softplay and party hire as I struggled to find many reviews on these before I booked. Pros: - Competitively priced - Not too big/ too many levels - which is good for younger kids, as they don’t get stuck! - Plenty of parking in the car park and on street - Able to choose from a variety of time slots (as opposed to other venues which are limited to particular days/ slots) Cons: Parties are run back to back on the weekend with very little buffer time in between which means: - The spaces aren’t cleaned in between parties so the cleanliness of the space depends entirely on how the previous party left it. It wasn’t too bad when we came in (although we did need to do some tidying) but I imagine it can get quite bad by the end of the day - so not great if you have an afternoon booking - If you’re hiring a room in addition to the softplay there’s not much time to set up/ decorate the room - There’s no one from the facility to ensure people adhere to the booking times. We were booked in for 12 but the previous party had not left by this time, so it was up to us to ask them to leave Overall we enjoyed the party, and it was good value for money but I’m not sure I’d book again as I’d prefer somewhere with a bit more coordination/ support provided by the venue. I would, however, use the softplay again. An additional point I’d note: we were advised that the capacity was 25 children but I think it would probably have felt overcrowded (especially if parents are there too). We had around 15 kids + parents which felt about right.

Fantastic experience: Seven years ago, my friend and myself, decided, as a New Year’s resolution, to start swimming, once a week, just to try and get some exercise Most New Year’s resolutions don’t last that long, but seven years later we are still swimming, and now, three times a week. The pool is great, although my friend will say it’s a little cold sometimes!! The changing rooms are always clean, and the staff are very friendly. The facilities here, offer everything you need to keep fit, without the extortionate prices of a private leisure centre. Would highly recommend

Negative experience: Awful. Awful. Swimming facilities for swimming lessons. The swimming teachers are lovely which is a great shame. However the facilities are unsafe for children especially under 5s. The pool is always unsafely cold, showers are always broken and the heating is also broken. Very often. It's shivering cold. Management never bother to inform parents before hand or even cancel. the swimming class. Pool is always floating with dirty plasters , nails, chewing gum. pool temperatures on the board at reception never corresponds with the actual pool temperatures. Temps of 28 degrees in the pool for babies and cold showers and only 4 safe family changing facilities is a risk to health. Management always have excuses why facilities are broken every week.

Fantastic experience: I like to visit my area and contribute to keep them open, I love to play Badminton I play 2 times a week the price is £7.50 for 1 Hour but I am really enjoyed,because is really quiet and huge place when I moving, BTW I always I win the match with my friend . So I call myself a winner number 1 .... Also anytime I booked to play is place available this is the important thing .Thanks to kingswood lessure centre to keep this place opening.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, decent overall facility.

Positive experience: Swimming pool is nice, not too much chlorine. A nice temperature for the little ones. The overall area was clean and well laid out, although a few more signposts directing you to the changing rooms wouldn’t go amiss as it’s not immediately apparent that you have to go past the pool to get to them. They are within the pool area itself rather than separate but adjoining as I have experienced elsewhere. My major issue is that family swimming is extremely limited, particularly in term time, but not much improved during the holidays.

Hayley created a programme for me, which I ‘mostly’ follow and all the staff are so approachable if you need to ask or check anything. Really good value for money too - highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Popped in last night to join the gym. The lady who helped me was an absolute star. Think her name was Charlotte. Anyway very attentive and nothing too much trouble, despite the queue being long and place being busy. Just all round awesome service from her. Also the people I dealt with at the contact centre were brill too!

Negative experience: Don’t bother with this place. Facilities for any training other than running are rubbish. Two benches for the whole gym and the free weights area is tiny - if you go anywhere near peak hours you’ll be queuing for over half of your workout. Membership is overpriced and they tie you into a 12 month contract with a massive sign-up fee. Cancelling is a nightmare and they direct you to a third party to take care of it. The app is outdated and despite telling staff that the QR code didn’t work to let me in the gym, nothing was ever actioned (apart from writing my name on some paper) so I’d have to knock on the door to get in. Complete waste of time and money. There’s a few other gyms in the area with better memberships and facilities. Avoid.

Negative experience: Shocking. Payed for a ticket to swim only to arrive and see the pool was jam packed with people. I didn’t even bother swimming it was that busy, clearly driven for maximising profits and don’t care about people having a good time

Fantastic experience: Really good venue. I didn't realise there was so much there! Friendly, helpful staff. Definitely going back.

Negative experience: Nobody explained how the direct debit works and I got myself trapped with a 3rd party finance company when tried to cancel my membership. Whatever you do, DO NOT take direct debit. Other gyms are half the price, 24 hours open and you can cancel the membership anytime. This is a scam.

Negative experience: We booked kingswood leisure centre for 2 hours (1 hour for soft play and 1 hour for food time ) for my son's birthday party and we were told we could go over there one hour before and could do some decorations. But on the party day we were told one party was going on and we won't be able to enter before the booking time. And the staffs were very rude and not helpful. We were given wrong information and she was speaking to us in such a way that we were doing something wrong . Instead of being sorry the staff was trying to make us feeling guilty.. When the food room was ready, they told us only 20 children can sit over there whereas at booking time they informed us we can have 25 children. If the soft play booking is for 25 children then how can they say food area is for only 20 children. So it's just a rubbish management and very poor quality of service. Staffs are not well trained to give right information and service. Total unhappy and will not recommend the place to friends and family.

Positive experience: Overpriced and the pool needs a good clean, it's also too crowded to do lane swimming properly especially when people dont follow the lane speed instructions. Unfortunately it's the closest pool near my house.

Positive experience: A local sports centre. These days you've got to thank God if there's one in you're area and not yet turned into a building estate. Staff is friendly, pool area could be cleaner, it really annoys me to see lots of people leaving mud around changing rooms and lockers. It should be strictly no shoe area! Some people are following the rules but most isn't, is it so difficult to execute? Squash court is of a decent quality, main hall is an asset with loads of options. Overall really good place to spend time

Positive experience: Last time I attended was quite some years pre-Covid. Took my little girl to the soft play to try it out. The leisure centre is still dated (and as I remember it from years ago) The soft play was good enough. Luckily only a couple of other children in there- couldn’t imagine what the place would be like when busy. Nowhere to get a drink from easily- you have to go back up to reception! Not sure how the softplay is Covid safe as both ball pits open. Bit of an ‘old’ smell to the place. Under 3’s area is very small and I don’t think worth it for the price.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff! One of the few Leisure Centres in Bristol that allows basketball (max 5). Facility is clean and we really like the sports hall with a lot of natural light. They also have a decent parking space (a bit of a learning curve to find the location). Lastly, my wife and son enjoy the pool as well.
