Positive experience: Went to a childs party. The centre was fairly clean and tidy. Nice open space with a few bouncy castles set up. Little bit untidy outside the front area but a decent centre to host a party

Fantastic experience: Always had good facilities inside and out, the Skate park is great for beginners of all age's

Fantastic experience: My wife loves attending the aquarobics class held here almost every week ( depending on availability of instructor) and always enjoys herself. The cost is not as expensive as others.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, patrons need to be more aware, they're not in the pool on their own!! Very shallow pool though, imagine it's great for swimming lessons.

Negative experience: The staff is lovely, good classes . The only issue is cleanliness. The ladies changing room smells of urine , even the dry areas of the ladies room has very stomg smell.

Fantastic experience: Great environment with all the equipment need for a full training workout in the gym and there are enough other great activities going every day to keep vartiey in your keep fit routine.

Fantastic experience: I've used the pool a few times and have signed up for the gym which I'm starting on Monday, everything is nice in there, on site parking and even a skate ramp outside.

Positive experience: I like it, but it could do with more racks and benches.

Fantastic experience: Fairwater Leisure Centre is one of the gyms run by Better. The staff are absolutely brilliant! They are welcoming, professional, and efficient. It doesn't matter what age you are.. There is something for everyone here. The pool has no deep or shallow end, so it is good for children and those who are a little anxious in water. The gym is well equipped and clean. They run a variety of classes from Tai Chi to Aqua aerobics, and there is something for everyone. Thanks to all the hard- working staff and special thanks to Ev and Lisa, without whom I would probably have given up, as I have Long Covid, which has turned my life into a daily struggle!

Fantastic experience: Had our grandsons 3rd birthday here 16.4.22 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Staff were brilliant, very polite and helpful with smiles on their faces, pleasure to see.

Positive experience: The staff are friendly. The pool water was quite cold when i got in for a swim. Not too cold though. The swimming facilities were excellent. All very clean. A lovely place to visit

Positive experience: Friendly staff, is my local leisure centre, I love the gym and my circuits class on Fridays here. The only downside is trying to enter the gym using the app, was much better and easier when they used the facial recognition camera.

Positive experience: Usually not too busy. Have a good range of cardio and weighted machines. Could do with another squat rack and some free space for stretching. Also the toilet is awkward to get to from the gym. Have no used any other facilities.

Negative experience: Rude staff. Stopped me using the toilet because I was watching the youth rugby on their grounds. Typing on his phone and said no mate I can't let you mate. I'm not sure if it was pettiness or he was arranging an appointment in there on his grinder app.

Positive experience: Lovely staff and really enjoyed swimming, 1st time in 16 years but to my surprise.....I really loved.

Negative experience: Strange and unacceptable decision to force a 9yr old girl from her father to change alone in the femal changing room when there are cubicles in the men's. Who dreamth up this famllily unfriendly policy?

Fantastic experience: The friendly staff at Fairwater Leisure Centre have worked very hard to ensure the Changing Rooms are back in use before and after using the pool. All the staff, at Reception and Poolside, make people of all ages welcome. Many people with long-term health conditions rely on this pool to help manage and maintain stability and mobility, because of its depth and temperature, as well as the support and good humour of the staff, for which we are very grateful.

Positive experience: Fantastic customer oriented staff who were only to happy to help. Changing rooms are pristine. Pool lovely temp for a lane swim.

Fantastic experience: Excellent. The lady on the desk was superb and very friendly. The place was nice and clean. We had an hour spot for free swimming. Wasn’t busy and was all well organised.

Negative experience: THE POOL IS ABSOLUTELY FILTHY!!! I can't believe that in all the time the pool was closed, that it hasn't been cleaned! I'm sure I see the same hairband each time I go! They could reall do with a pool hoover to collect the debris... The centre seems quite organised! I actually prefer it with the covid rules because of the limited numbers, which I would have given stars for, but for the state of the pool... PLEASE CLEAN THD POOL

Positive experience: 10 year old daughter restarting swimming lessons. Staff were friendly and informative. Covid security was good, but it was chilly waiting outside during the lesson, then again waiting in the squash court at collecting time. My daughter was reluctant going in, but is already asking about next week, so that's a win.

Positive experience: Very well organised on the whole. Ladies only shower available is cold takes 10 minutes to get warm. Covid systems working well. No pool on Sundays for competent swimmers just for families.

Fantastic experience: My favourite of the 'Better' leisure centres in Cardiff because of the excellent, helpful and friendly staff, and the superb classes and instructors.

Fantastic experience: Local, friendly staff. Very inexpensive facilities but well maintained. My two sons come here every week for swimming and are making good progress. They enjoy the instructors who have a good rapport with the children.

Negative experience: Expensive and badly run, uninterested staff, dirty and wet changing rooms, no drinking water fountains. Gone down hill, since council stopped running it !

Positive experience: Newly refurbished gym (as of December 2018) is very well equipped. Membership is reasonable value. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Now that the local Labour Council have sold it to a private company (privatisation) its run much better than when they ran it

Positive experience: Step class to cramped.... Needs to go back into the main hall. Am concudeting cancelling my membership due to this problem. Whey are "Better" making these changes, ladies morning used to be a place to meet and catch up with friends, but not anymore, because in their wisdom they have decided to stop the creche, which was part of "ladies morning" facilities, which we signed up for, so maybe contracts have been broken!!! We still have to pay the same money monthly, but fewer classes and facilities in place now!!!!

Negative experience: Out dated . Nice place to get green bags mind.

Negative experience: It is TERRIBLE! Do not recommend going there!! They have taken away the child membership and have upped the price on everything. The changing rooms are disgusting but instead of re-doing them they’ve decided to spend their money on the reception which was perfectly fine. They also don’t answer the phone when you call them either.

Positive experience: Staff are friendly and helpful but the prices are ridiculous. I'm trying to encourage my 9 year old son to play Badminton but at £12.50 (peak) and £10.50 (off peak), I certainly can't afford to do it on a regular basis. It is twice the price of leisure centres in other unitary authorities such as Caerphilly.

Negative experience: always cancelling classes never try hard enough to get cover a member of staff offered to cover TRX but offer not taken up due to cost No Pilates or yoga getting worse since being taken over but increased membership cost. Floor Staff are the only ones keeping it together .
