Positive experience: Quiet clean pool with attentive and polite staff

Negative experience: Gym is very small with barely enough room to train in the free weights area. Equipment is limited and old. The gym is shared with the school next door, meaning it can be busy with students. Timetable of classes isn’t available online, reception have a print out you can take a photo of but this changes without notice. Centre isn’t always open at the times published on the app.

Positive experience: I go here for the gym. It's small and when busy, your routine might be delayed or changed if others are using the equipment you wish to use but in general, it literally on my doorstep and convenient and if you go at the right time, you can do a good workout because equipment is free. Staff are friendly which is also a plus

Positive experience: Pool is always freezing! Kids go blue. Otherwise, it's a decent facility for a local leisure centre..

Positive experience: Cashless site. Reasonable facilities although changing rooms are just not adequate. Very nice staff. Part of a much larger chain now which has yet to offer a good experience. Lessons no longer offer distance awards sessions which is a shame as achievement is really important to feelings of accomplishment.

Fantastic experience: Great price for hiring a court for badminton and good time availability with usual facilities (lockers, showers, changing, etc). It's a bit out of the way, but it's better than paying extortionate membership fees in some of the bigger gyms. Definitely recommend a visit.

Negative experience: I visited the WILLINK LEISURE CENTRE with a intent to join. I saw the advertised fees. Their site says that the most popular membership is PLATINUM MEMBERSHIP that includes - Gym, Swimming, Exercise Classes, Fortis, Spa & Hot Yoga PLUS Everyone on Demand and 14 Day priority. Turns out that there is no Spa or Hot Yoga. There is no equipment for Fortis and the classes happen in the borrowed hall of neighboring hall. I would suggest that anyone wanting a membership should visit and evaluate if it suits their needs and not go by the incorrect descriptions on the website

Positive experience: Nice facilities, showers a bit pathetic, but hot. Didn't like that the aqua fit class took over the pool over 5 mins before they were due to start and stopped us swimming. Bit frustrating.

Positive experience: I wish I didn't have to stand in the cold before my lesson. I do like my lessons and I do like to swim. But standing in the cold waiting to go inside any really fair. Could we think about how this could be made at all better

Negative experience: We attend only the swimming pool, so can't comment on the state of the rest of the facility. Unfortunately, despite my complains about the water temperature in men's showers, nothing has been done to improve that and now there's no running water in any of the bathrooms. You cannot rinse yourself before going into the pool, you cannot use sinks to wash your hands after using the toilets and you cannot take a shower after the swim. There's no notification of this on the app when booking a slot (for almost £6 per session).

Positive experience: Decent little leisure centre with ok facilities. 6 lane 25m pool and open changing village. Chlorine levels always feel a little high but maybe that keeps the coronavirus out! Attentive lifeguards on pool side, friendly reception staff Centre also has squash courts and a multipurpose hall

Negative experience: Nice place to swim but awful place to have a children's birthday party. Really unorganised. We booked the inflatable pool party for my 9 year old. Despite paying in advance the staff had no idea we were booked as the system hadn't been updated properly. We are still waiting for our jugs of water promised, despite asking twice. Miserable staff. Not one managed to wish my LO happy birthday. Without warning the next party came in to the party room before we had a chance to pack up and leave meaning we left some things there in our haste to leave. Just a horrible, expensive experience. Very poor value for money. Def come here for a swim but avoid, avoid, avoid for a kids party.

Positive experience: I want to say this is a great place as I go there a few times a week. Lovely staff but... It lacks investment. The pool is good clean and well managed but not on lane days. There are classes but mainly in the evening nothing in the daytime. Always lots going on in the main hall and it can be hired out for private use and that's a bonus for locals. The gym has a great variety of people attending which makes it so appealing and without pressure but the equipment standard is OK. Repairs take a long time it was without water for weeks/over a month and no under 16s which I think is terrible. In the summer what a great place for parents to take their children and work out together but no chance. Missing a trick and poor message to families.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant place to have a children's party either in the pool and the leisure hall. Bouncy castle, goal nets, hockey sticks, soft play toys more. My grandson loved having his 6th birthday party here.

Fantastic experience: A clean bright leisure centre for everyone. They have a great inflatable obstacle course to claim over in the swimming pool which is great fun, halls available for hire which we use for Reading Powerchair Football Club training. Can't fault this place

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Blatantly rude to kids but fine with adults.

Negative experience: Nice pool but the place seems to be falling apart. Half the lockers were missing keys or out of order. The mens toilet had no toilet seat. Half of the pool floats were ripped and old.

Positive experience: The facilities here are OK but the staff need to work harder. We take our kids for swimming lessons and to the pool to play. They are friendly enough but they keep getting things wrong or instructors not turning up. Could have been a higher rating otherwise.
