Negative experience: Homeless people sleeping all over the town I know things move on but this would never had been allowed years ago what a shame to see the town falling apart empty shops the town is mess

Positive experience: Staff are really helpful and friendly. The strength and balance exercise class is excellent and so encouraging.

Positive experience: Bit aged building, but still tidy. Helpful staff. Parking is limited.

Negative experience: Newport is an awful place and should be avoided until a developer actually spends some money on it, even Debenhams have left...

Fantastic experience: We attended the Active Tots play group with my 7month old little boy. It was lovely to interact with other mums and little ones. Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: COVID centre, very welcoming, the staff are friendly and it's so organized we were in and out within 20 minutes. Have no fear get vaccinated here

Positive experience: Visited the centre for a pilates in a chair class today. The instructor was brilliant. The staff on reception were also really polite and efficient. Nevertheless can't wait for the new centre to be built and open as I then won't have to trek all the way to Spytty for Aqua Mobility

Negative experience: After asking a corporation bus driver if the center was open he said yes. So I looked online (Google) and it states the place is open, we caught a bus from Cardiff only to find its closed. Not a good outcome with two crying grand children. Come on Newport get your act together. There was also another family in front of us who had travelled far to get there

Negative experience: Busy, badly organised due to lack of staff. Not sure why they bothered sending appointments and opening it as a walk in centre if they were chronically understaffed?

Positive experience: Soon to be rebuilt !! Has great shows there still, amazing pool with slide and wave machine. The gym is great and centre can cater for most fitness needs. There are many classes available for individuals and groups. It's wourth checking with Newport centre on the net or on the phone

Fantastic experience: The leisure centre is closed and awaiting demolition but is being used for covid vaccines Staff wonderful. Very helpful and professional.

Negative experience: I never go there unless I have to go to the bank, sorry it's not very clean, and no shops anymore.

Positive experience: Efficient vaccination center, shame as this shell of my childhood will soon be rubble. No more pool, no more slides, no more watching for your wristband colour to be flashing so you've got to get out of the pool, and no more wave machine! Just now, the vaccination center, efficient, nhs staff are friendly, get you in, jabbed and out.

Negative experience: Came for my booster and was turned away as I was 9 days early even though the government are urging us all to get our boosters. Half the people were doing nothing as it was raining and few people turning up.

Negative experience: Council had big plans for shopping centre. Compared to other U. K shopping centre's , Newport is way behind.

Negative experience: Awful experience, had to go here for my Covid jab. The jab was fine but parking was awful. Couldn't get in to any of the main car parks. Parked in a side street, no signs to say there were parking restrictions. Only parked up for 25 mins but got hit with a parking fine. To be honest I rarely go to Newport, always gives me the feeling of being in a Zombie apocalipse. Always prefer Cwmbran town centre as the parking is free and a better variety of shops.

Positive experience: Used for the covid 19 vaccination Centre,well organised not too much of a wait.got to be done.

Negative experience: Very sad to see it in the state it is in. Pool shut permanently and lots of repairs needed . I used to work there and worked there for the opening and for 5 years. Lots of excellent bands and comedians appeared there who I met. So sad to see it like it is now

Positive experience: I haven't used the facilities here as I only went to get my covid booster jab. Everything looked clean and well looked after, which I find is a credit to the city centre.

Negative experience: Took way too long even with bookings, cant fault the staff though polite, friendly and helpful

Positive experience: Only went there for booster jab had to wait over an hour for an appointment they made. Not enough vaccine, not enough people to administer the vaccine Not impressed. I can understand it is a thank less undertaking, but letting anybody turn up and add to the que.

Negative experience: Tired old building an example of the neglect and contempt that municipal councils especially Newport City Council has for its leisure facilities and population. The pool a once shining example is now drained and empty the building has been left to expire in it's own time and it's a total shame. I went here for a covid vaccine, its very sad Even the sign on the outside is missing bits. The slogan Newport council used when it opened was "one of the best centres in the country and ... It's yours" it was theirs and they neglected it Now a dump driven by the inept council.

Fantastic experience: I was impressed by the amount of work that had gone into the setting up of the clinic, and how pleasant and helpful everyone was. Definitely a five star.

Positive experience: It now closed down and a new leisure Centre is being built. It's currently being used as a covid vaccination centre. I have had my covid vaccinations there and it's been a good well organised experience.

Negative experience: Still have not recieved a refund for Johnny Cash show that was cancelled in the pandemic. No communication after several emails.

Positive experience: Great place to work out, watch your favourite band or engage in activities.

Positive experience: Brings back some great childhood memories, comin here swimming when I was a young boy always sticks in my mind. They have a gym here aswell which I quite cool, also indoor football squash and all other activities. Great place to go.

Fantastic experience: I went for my vaccine I believe it ran very smoothly. Have been attending the measure centre/pool all my life and now take my children here and had their birthday parties here. I have also been part of the tattoo convention help here and the staff couldn't have been more helpful to us show runners

Fantastic experience: Came for my covid jab. Easiest way to venture in is to park in the Kingsway Car Park. The vaccination centre is signed posted throughout, but basically points you towards floor - 1. Follow the signs and you'll be there in no time. It's still quite busy but really well organised. All socially distanced, with a temp check and hand sanitiser given on arrival. You'll be told where to go and who to speak to each step of the way. Very friendly staff and NHS workers.

Fantastic experience: Five stars. Would get vaccinated there again. Sadly the pool was closed on the day I visited. Also, some kind of medical conference restricted access to the badminton courts. Slightly inconvenient, but my shoulder was quite painful anyway. Will be visiting again soon hopefully! (Seriously, though - a big thank you to all of the Newport Centre and NHS staff involved).

Positive experience: No idea what the leisure centre facilities are like, but if you fancy briefly queuing for a Pfizer covid jab, I'd highly recommend it!
