Positive experience: I have been a member for 2 months and whilst, I have enjoyed my experience overall, the mens changing rooms need a full update, showers have mould on ceiling and some of the panels are loose, I reported a broken hand dryer in the toilets and it remains out of order, for the cost of the membership, I do expect a better standard of facilities.

Positive experience: Good overall. The staff are really nice. The swimming pool is not the biggest, but it's great, with 2 jacuzzi, 2 steam rooms, and 2 saunas. The spa is very cosy, with a good variety of treatments available. The gym I was expecting a bit more, I guess It could be frustrating trying to follow your plan on a busy day.

Positive experience: Bannatynes Gym is the oldest of the ball the establishments, However it has had the least amount of work done, the gym is out of date and needs updating The members leave weights on the machines constantly, and are always on their phones between sets and can be very rude The staff on the front desk look like they are paid minimum wage to smile and your very board The only saving grace is the poolside, sun beads, reasonably priced cafe and the spa upstairs where the staff are friendly and welcoming Would I recommend Bannatynes not for all its facilities The only saving grace is the poolside facilities

Positive experience: This place is a clean and tidy. Have had spa treatment and all have been ok but can vary depending on who you have. The pool is normally not that busy and can happily get in the jacuzzi after a few minutes. Two saunas and two steam rooms. The food is ok and is nourishing after working out. The salads for some reason have always been extremely fresh. staff have always been very helpful and also leave you alone to get on with your day. The pool has no lifeguard but is the same depth all round and 20m

Positive experience: Lovely friendly staff, cafe basic but functional, the changing rooms and pool look tired in places, missing mosaic tiles, needs new investment, gym decent size and equipment. The best thing about the place is the Spa and the treatments, buy with vouchers before for a large discount, fantastic staff and service, very professional and wonderful treatment

Positive experience: It’s too expensive other than gym

Daniel Whitfield 1 year ago

Negative experience: The facilities are extremely dated. Showers leaking, shower screens are faded, steam room was out of action for a number of weeks. In need of restoration. Staff seem friendly, though.

Negative experience: Didn’t respond back, and Didn’t pick up phone. Really unresolved issues

Dean Fitzgerald 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: First time. Treatment was fantastic. Sauna/ steam room and pool all great. The cafe was well priced and delicious. Thank you all. Xxx

Michael Jarrett 1 year ago

Positive experience: Great facilities and staff. OK massages. Biggest let down was hearing some one drop weights whilst deadlifting while your having a massage. Both me and my wife herd every rep that was dropped. I'd say 3 sets of 6. Think the gym staff need to advise people on if you can't put it down safely don't try lifting it.

Jane Parker 1 year ago

Negative experience: Rip off cost £10 to use there robes and 1 towel did not get money back at the end of day food not very good to expensive but the treatments very good will not be going again

Erikas “Erik” Beitnoras 1 year ago

Positive experience: The facilities, including the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi, are excellent and clean, deserving a 4+ star rating. However, the gym equipment is in need of repair or refurbishment, which I would rate at 2 stars.

Karen Pagett 1 year ago

Negative experience: Buy a Gift experience 2 x treatments. I paid extra to upgrad, and the whole experience was over in 25 minutes. I expected more for my money. My appointment was also a little late.

simon gordenfelt 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I took my girlfriend for a spa day, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Used the cafe, which had reasonably priced food, and the fruit smoothies were fantastic. The place was very clean. We both had 4 treatments, which were very relaxing. Staff could not do enough and were extremely helpful. One staff member I have to give a big shout out to is Cameron, who went above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks, Cameron, exceptional customer service. I will be returning soon.

Positive experience: I brought this to spend some time with husband after he had been away for two weeks. On buying a buyagift voucher I went straight on to book a date. I wasn’t too worried where as long as approx. 2 hr drive as was planning a full day out. There were approx. 12 places to choose from but two I’d heard weren’t great so I didn’t want them. All the others didn’t do the three treatments so the only ones available were the two I didn’t want. I bit the bullet and went with the closer one. On the day, check in was easy and we were shown where everything was and how to work the lockers. The pool area was heaving as they had an aquaaerobics class on so only a third of the pool was open for the first hour. The stenchy smell by the poolside was gross. Something needs to be done as when in the steam rooms, every time the door was opened, the smell wafted in. Then when you sat in the jacuzzi, you could smell it. Poolside there wasn’t enough seating for how busy the area is. Not very big in there. The cafe area was nice and reasonably priced so whe whiled an hour away in there drinking and chatting. When it came to our treatments we went upstairs 30mins before and sat in the relaxation room which was lovely and clean and could’ve easily nodded off. We were called in and Leanne and Nicole did our Back, Scalp and Foot massage. This was amazing and so relaxing. The treatment certainly saved the day. Would we return here, most likely not. We wanted some quiet and relaxing and this was far too noisy and busy especially considering it was a weekday. We were there 4-5hrs, 2hrs would’ve been more than enough. I’ve personally been to better and was disappointed but have learnt a lesson not to go through a gift voucher site. Other Bannatynes may be better but avoid Peterborough (except treatments as the girls were great).

Rasha Al shalabi 1 year ago

Positive experience: I’ve booked a spa day with my partner. The back massage felt really good. There were two issues with the facilities though. First, the steam room had mould on one of the seating corners. Second, there were two jacuzzis but one of them was not functioning at the time and the other one was very tiny. Only enough for 4 people who wouldn’t leave. I understand it’s something that the management can’t control especially on bank holiday but it was disappointing to us. Other than that, the staff were lovely and the experience was relaxing in general and worth the money.

Claire Tierney 1 year ago

Positive experience: Went for a woucher deal at Spa. It's tired and old and the treatments were not great. Meant to have a foot massage and they didnt even touch my heels or ankles. It all seemed rushed and very strange setup. You also had to pay to wear a dressing gown. Sauna was gross and poolside dirty . Don't think i would be going back

Alex Koro 1 year ago

Negative experience: Been a member over 3 years, every year it’s just getting worser and worser, maintenance takes ages to sort issues with equipment the housekeeping is terrible, now i stopped my dd they trying to get me to pay for another month when my contract expired 2 years ago lol… for the amount you pay it’s not worth it! They can’t even get correct size bits to fit equipment…

Mark Fitzgerald 1 year ago

Positive experience: The gym is good. Mens Toilets in the changing room are smelly as they don't clean themselves with water. The place is starting to look tired, especially for the price

lauren Anne 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Lovely facial and massage!

William Ogilvie 1 year ago

Positive experience: Good facilities, nice pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Cafe very good with reasonable menu.

Dee Reveal-U 1 year ago

Positive experience: Sadly, this did not feel like a Spa Day experience but a visit to a busy leisure centre located on an industrial estate with two rooms upstairs to relax and and have a treatment. There was no guidance from staff on the facilities offered and their locations. Members advised us we could not close our lockers without a band which had not been provided. The treatments and therapists were great and saved the day.

mark gambrell 1 year ago

Positive experience: Nice day out, looking a bit tired in places, also on a industrial estate so the views aren't the best

Emily Dowle 1 year ago

Positive experience: Recently attended a spa day, the treatments were fantastic but I wish I had paid just for treatments and not bothered with the rest. We only ended up staying 45 minutes after the treatments as the pool was heaving with people and there were loud aqua aerobics classes taking place. We couldn't even get in the sauna as both were full. The relaxation room is cold and too dark to read a book. If you're wanting to go for a peaceful day off I'd recommend looking somewhere else. If you're wanting to go just for a treatment, I'd recommend it.

Elizabeth Gurnell 1 year ago

Negative experience: Myself and my Mum had a spa day here today. We had a facial and Swedish back and neck massage which was nice. However, the swimming pool area was very disappointing - the swimming pool area smelt strongly of sewage which made it uncomfortable to sit for a long period. There were children in the pool area, which I was surprised for a spa pool as was not relaxing. The food was also quite poor, and my mums sandwich had a long hair in it. We had to pay £10 each to borrow a towel, robe and flip flops - the flip flops were so small and extremely uncomfortable. It was quite expensive so these factors were very disappointing.

Sharon Carver 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: We had a llovely Spa day here, the massages were amazing and the facial was heavenly. We will definitely be back!

Gary Heys 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: When it's not busy it's a dream, however it can be a nightmare if busy. Nice facilities and the treatments are amazing.

Stefan Sztyrkalo 1 year ago

Negative experience: Went to bannatyne for 5 years but the last 2 years they increased the membership every 6 months , more and more then started to get ridiculous because they never spent any money on new equipment, equipment always under maintenance would take them months to fix it , some of the staff are a little rude. The whole membership is a joke, you have to give them 2 months notice and if you don’t pay the last month they will basically send the debt collector round lol wish I moved soon bannatyne will never have my money again.

Yenlin Hu 1 year ago

Positive experience: Had a spa day here. Overall, the health club might be good, but the massage we had was horrible. It was for 55 minutes but only got 40 minutes of treatment.

Ann Wildman 1 year ago

Positive experience: Very corporate looking place, with glass windows looking out at car sales garages. Nothing special about the pool, saunas and steam room and very little seating or beds so if your not in the water or room, you're standing up. However, I had elemis treatment facial etc and it was amazing, they had a chill out room but again only five comfy loungers and a couple of chairs, no were near enough for the amount of people there. I wouldn't return here unless as certainly not relaxing unless I wanted a facial,

William LeSage 1 year ago

Positive experience: Busy and clean but For such a well established name in the industry the time taken to repair or replace broken equipment is poor, most people that have a home jacuzzi have one for 6 or eight people at Peterborough with probably 200 members using the facility at any one time the twenty year old one that was working meant four blokes got in at a squeeze it was horrible having to sit bulk upright with our knees touching ! needs revamping

Charlie Gillespie 1 year ago

Positive experience: Receptionist "Becki" couldn't have been more miserable. One word answers to everything, rushing us through at reception, couldn't wait to get rid of us. Café was lovely, friendly staff, good food and coffee. Gym was good. Needs more leg equipment, though. Maybe a hack squat or belt squat machine. Spa was amazing. Very friendly and a great massage. Sauna was great.

Michael Catling 1 year ago

Negative experience: Extremely poor value considering you’re tied into a 12 month contract for around £600. The place is in desperate need of a refurbishment. Machines take months to repair, only a few instructors actually seem qualified, and their wristband policy is infuriating. Forget it and they want a deposit for you to use a locker. A membership card would be so much simpler and easier to store in your phone case. Instead they want you to walk around as a brand ambassador.

Lissa Mcnamara 1 year ago

Positive experience: Ok. Relaxing day. Shame the hot tub was actually a cold tub and considering the amount of people they let in, I was shocked that only 4 very friendly people could sit on the cold tub at a time. Some serious work needs doing to improve these as they were very popular

Leanne Crawford 1 year ago

Positive experience: Was really lovely just a little cold in the pool area, one of the jacuzzi's was not working and cold and the relaxation room was alittle chilly.

Kevin 1 year ago

Negative experience: Peterborough. The reason for the two stars is over the last two weeks, there’s been no hot water in the showers, and the hot tubs are cold. Just a update the hot water is now working, However the Cafe Bar as run out of food

ric anjos 1 year ago

Negative experience: Bad experience overall. I paid for full membership in Wellingborough, been explained back then that could use the same membership in other Bannatynes around the country. Peterborough, at least the way I understood it, wanted more money. I end up paying more, because apparently there is a tier system in place that up to now no one of the staff could be clear about it. I honestly felt that not only they couldn't explain the way it works but I also left with a sensation of not being welcomed and more, throughout the experience I felt being mocked by some of the staff. I became defensive. Horrible. On a full membership I've used the place maybe just over half a dozen of times. I left the wristband at the desk and left. Surely not to come back. Strange place.

Michael Green 1 year ago

Negative experience: Such a poor experience all round. Confusing introduction. Toilets were dirty. Poor quality robes that didn't fit my husband. In the Relaxation room, The water cooler was broken, music was awful, and was not relaxing. Treatment room, there was no where to hang robes, the room was right next door to the gym/spin class room so was really loud with thumping music. Towels were threadbare. The girls did a great job with their treatment though, so no disrespect to them. The coffee shop operators were rude, standing in the corner just chatting, not great customer service. We did not even enter the pool as the whole area smelt like a fish tank with algae in the air, also one of the jacuzzi's was out of action. We literally turned round and decided to leave after under two hours stay. Very disappointed.

Alessio Dagostino 1 year ago

Negative experience: Very poorly ran. Been a member for 5+ years now and sad to say this place is rapidly declining. Numerous broken machines which take months to be fixed, very worn and rundown changing rooms with multiple broken urinals and showers. As well as an unbearable smell which has not gone away for around a year now. Hot tub temperature has been turned down and most of the time only 1/2 of the hot tubs is even open , same with the saunas. Prices constantly increasing yet the facilities are declining massively.

katrina peck 1 year ago

Positive experience: The treatment was good. However, i could hear noise from outside over the peaceful spa music. The reception staff are friendly. The cafe had some nice food and drinks. The main pool was a little cold and hot tub, not as hot as some I have been in. The steam room was relaxing, and I enjoyed the aroma. Changing room lockers are big, I could hang my coat inside, which was nice. I can spend a couple of hours here, but for me, it's not a full day spa it's not got the extra relaxation zones like many other spas.

Kristīne Panova 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Went for a spa day. Great atmosphere, had a good time.

Weronika J 1 year ago

Positive experience: The spa massage was great. The only downside was the facilities mainly ladies changing / locker rooms look very run down, old fashioned very tired and worn furniture..pool area also a bit run down could do with an upgrade as the facilities look +20 years old now. This would improve customer satisfaction and make the whole place a lot more pleasant.

D B 1 year ago

Negative experience: Booked in for two for a spa break. We signed up for 45 minute treatments. Mine was at 12. They collected me from the relax area at 12:05. Massage started at 12:09. The bed was covered with a thread bare towel. The face hole has no cushion and makes your neck be at an uncomfortable angle. I asked if there was something to fix it. I was given a folded wash cloth. Had a mediocre back massage, couldn’t really enjoy it because my neck was straining. She had me flip over on my back and then there was no bolster for under my knees. My lower back was on fire. She found a pillow and tried that but it wasn’t good. Had a facial, and foot massage. Zero communication about what’s going on in the facial. Usually I’m told, “Im going to cleanse the skin using this then massage using this, you’ll feel something cold and then scratchy,” etc., This facial was just a quick application of random stuff. Who knows what it was. Finally, had a foot massage. Ish. I had lotion put on my feet. Zero pressure. But my lower back was killing, so who can even focus. Ok, finished. It’s 12:39. My 45 min treatment was 30 mins. And a lot of that time was spent trying to get comfortable on the torture chamber of a bed. The masseuse seemed as though they aren’t qualified. It was probably the worst spa experience I’ve ever had. The facilities are tired. The pool has a green layer around the edge. The hot tub is too cold. There are a few lounge chairs all squished up together. The steam room and saunas aren’t hot enough. This isn’t a luxury spa. This is a place trying to survive the energy crisis and unable to clean, upkeep, or heat the facilities appropriately. The massage staff are booked back to back and not trained well. Don’t waste your £ or time here.

Fantastic experience: I was at Bannatyne for a spa day with a friend. I really enjoyed the treatments, the sauna, jacuzzi, and swimming. The lunch was lovely, and I'd definitely go again for a spa day. I did enquire about membership but it's definitely too expensive for me .

Negative experience: Facilities great, receptionist very standard offish when we asked for bigger robes, and then just pointed us in a general direction..visited on 23rd Nov for my birthday.. Have to say the beauty team upstairs were amazing..!!

Fantastic experience: Had an excellent Spa day today with my daughter. Could use all facilities before the spa treatments, which was fabulous

Fantastic experience: I had the best day at the spa today! A well needed break from being a mummy of two under three! Joe? Checked me in and showed me around! A nice workout followed by a swim, sauna & steam room. A quick shower then headed up to the relax lounge to wait for my treatment. Everyone was SO accomodating and I felt so at ease especially spending the day alone (which I did feel worried about at first) I was booked in for a massage but due to health reasons I needed to change the appointment today to a facial! The staff couldn't have helped me more. I had Emma do a facial, scalp massage and a shoulder massage- pure bliss! I felt like a new woman and almost forgot about being covered in baby sick this morning (till I got home) the products Emma used were all explained to me and she gave me a list of them too. There was multiple offers on them today and even a free gift if you spent over a certain monetary value (which I obviously did) thankyou for my restore afternoon! I will definitely be back a lot sooner than 5 years this time.

Christine McGuire 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: A spa day gift..... Had a great day from start to finish. Easy parking, greeting from reception and a brief explanation on where everything was located. A mini facial, arm and foot massage followed by a lovely lunch in the cafe/restaurant with a varied selection of food and drink. Followed by a relaxing sauna, steam room, few lengths of a good size pool and a relaxing hot tub to finish. Would definitely return for another visit.

Adam Cullip 1 year ago

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I have to rejoin midway through November 2023. I found that on my first visit back two of the spas were closed due to repairs the water fountain to fill up my water bottle in the swimming pool area was out of order, two of the showers in the male changing rooms were broken along with the remaining male changing rooms looking very worn and very tired. With all things considered on my first visit back, this made me want to reconsider the fact that I rejoined at all. Just happy to say that I’ve only joined on a rolling contract and will only be here for a minimum of three months. With other options available within and around the Peterborough area I would definitely recommend shopping around before committing to this particular health club. Definitely not the same gym that I was a member of a few years back. Sorry to say it’s looking like this gym has gone downhill at a rapid pace.

Positive experience: I have been a member on and off since I first joined in 2014 (due to personal and financial circumstances). This gym is just fabulous! There are fantastic facilities and a generous variety of classes on offer all included in the price as well as generous opening times to suit most. The staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The fitness team in particular are simply outstanding- when first joining you have the opportunity to have some sessions with them for a personalised fitness program depending on your goals. They are extremely knowledgable, encouraging, supportive and kind. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are extremely passionate about helping you to achieve your goals with no judgement or assumptions made. The spa provides excellent offers which I have enjoyed many times with flawless service from start to finish. There is a lovely relaxation room available you can wait and unwind in prior to your treatments. If coming on a spa day it is worth noting the pool is used for classes and there are times for families to go swimming - check times for this ahead of you are hoping for a quieter experience by the pool. The pool itself is a good size and depth with 2x steam rooms, 2x jacuzzis (only one works at a time and they run for 15 minutes at a time- this is normal), two saunas and a few sun loungers to relax on. What let's the place down is the pool and changing rooms appear tired and in much need of a refresh. At the pool there’s been occasions where there’s been an unpleasant drain smell, the pool has been cold and the general cleanliness of the area has not been up to standard.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for over 20 years and enjoy coming to the club. Last week Anastasia did my gel nails and I am delighted with the result. She was friendly and professional. Thank you.

Negative experience: The receptionists at Bannatynes at Peterborough are often unhelpful and unfriendly. They don't seem to be interested in helping members and are often dismissive when asked for assistance. For example, I asked a receptionist for help about the Internet connection and she simply shrugged and behaved like to "figure it out myself. I haven’t got any positive attitudes from them. they are speaking and replying in a manner that is not conducive to a productive conversation. I believe that the receptionists at this gym need to be more trained on how to behave and deal with customers. They should be friendly, helpful, and professional at all times.

Positive experience: I use the gym most days. The staff are friendly and helpful. There could be a more thorough cleaning program throughout the gym and changing rooms though, as sometimes it's obvious this is not done. Otherwise a nice gym.

Fantastic experience: Well done Bannatyne's gym Peterborough. A lovely cafe, smart looking gym ,pleasant staff and ev chargers! After a quick drive from Lincoln we needed a charge to prevent range anxiety on the way back. Elevate gym was closest with their podpoint stuck in a car park barricaded and the gym closed. Useful not! I parked on the grass after driving over the pavement but it was only 22kw so after a zapmap search we moved to Bannatyne's down the road. 50 kw ionicity we popped in and were welcomed into the cafe after signing in as guests. A quick cup of tea and we were charged ready to go and we enjoyed our journey home. It was simple ,easy the cafe was great and the staff v welcoming. A great experience.

Positive experience: The spa facilities where good but the seated pool had missing tiles here and there and most of the jets didnt work. We also had a 20 minute facial booked but only had 10 minutes of treatment, the other 10 was taken up by the ladies getting the creams and waiting I guess (even though we arrived ready to start).

Negative experience: Spend a full day at Peterborough location. One of the jacuzzi was closed due to maintenence, other jacuzzi could only accommodate 4 people. We want on Saturday and it was very busy, noise and full of regular club members as well as one day spa guests. I feel that overall experience was not great based on the amount of money we spend. Paid for 55 mins treatment and only got around 40 to 45mins ish. Sorry, but not worth it for the money you spend.

Fantastic experience: Went with my mother and mother-in-law for a spa day. I had Kathie for my facial and foot massage and she was fantastic. The pool area was nice and there were 2 small saunas and 2 small steam rooms.

Negative experience: Had a French manicure for a change as my partner gave me a £50 Voucher for my birthday. This cost £40. It’s awful. I’ve been crying it’s that bad. Friends have said how bad it is. I complained and they wanted me to pay an extra £28 for reapplication. £68 on nails in less than a week is not acceptable. I’m going on holiday which is why I got them done, and it’s just made me feel horrible about myself. I’m so upset

Positive experience: Had a girls spa day and it was lovely! The treatments were relaxing and the spa was nice. We came for a relaxing escape but unfortunately the pool is also open to non spa guests. Quite a few families came in so the pool area echoed with screams and was really loud. Normally I wouldn't mind but this was a day away from our screaming kids Food was nice, the chutney was strong on the burger.

Negative experience: Gym ok, pool which is main reason we joined is way too cold. The local council run pool is like a hot bath by comparison

Negative experience: We had spa treatment few years back so my Husband gifted the spa treatment as a birthday gift. My experience this time was very bad compare to last time. I had few concerns next day of the treatment. My shoulder and back become stiff after treatment. I never had any body pain or concerns before treatment. Also next morning after treatment, I noticed the black & blue blood clotting mark on my leg. I have attached the picture of the same. The treatment turned out to be very bad experience for me.

Negative experience: I am giving a 1 star because it's a tidy facility. Aside that, massages are awful!!! Absolutely the worst body scrub session I have ever had. Waste of my time and money.

Jennifer Marie 2 years ago

Negative experience: The facility itself looked very nice.. however we went for massages and those were awful. Felt like the girl wasn’t even trying or wanted to be there. She was polite but lacked actual massage skills .. I was questioning whether she was a masseus as that same girl that did our massages was also the receptionist. In America masseuses are specialists not some random People who just generalize in soft touch .. it was a ridiculous massage as I barely felt anything. My partner as well.. had hopes his would be better but he had the same girl. We would never go back or recommend for massages. We were Supposed to feel relaxed after.. instead it was so frustrating that we spent money on non sense as we would have given each other way better massages..

Negative experience: Not great booked two treatments for parents unfortunately on the day we had a family emergency and they refused to change date even after explaining circumstances 130 wasted

Negative experience: Went for a spa day today with my sister, we both upgraded our package and the massages were nice as was the facial. My sister said she had to move rooms between her treatments which wasn't great. It would have been nice to know what products had been used in my facial too. Staff in spa were very friendly. It was a cold day but I wasn't expecting the spa room, cafe and lounge room to be so cold. Also all I could hear over the music in the spa room was the gym class music and instructor and the lounge was loud from banging in the gym next door. After our treatments we headed to the cafe for lunch. I paid £7 for a cheese pasta bake that came out like it was a microwave meal and certainly not worth what I had paid. My sister had the bannatynes burger which looked nice. After we were ready for the pool, sauna, steam rooms but it was so full and really didn't seem relaxing at all. We decided to leave. We had paid £6 for towels and robes and put all of our stuff in the bag we get to keep. As we didn't use the towels all of our stuff was on top of these in the bags and we forgot about them. When we left we were made to feel like thieves after apologiesing we had forgotten they were there. We also found the cafe staff very rude. My sister asked for scones 'we don't have any' then chocolate quesadilla 'we don't have that either' well what do you have 'not a lot it's a new menue'. Poor service. Not sure we will go back to a bannatyne if this is the level of service across the place.

Positive experience: Went for a spa day, was really happy with the service I received. Shoutout to Charlie just had a lack of time to take advantage of all facilities

Negative experience: I wish I could put 0 ⭐️ The place was full of children, in the pool and changing rooms. I was really looking forward to a nice relaxing spa day for mine and my sister birthday. On arrival we wasn't given much information we had to pay £6 to hire the robe and towl and was told we would get to keep a bannatyne bag what was on show and we were given a plain black tote bag. Then when we went to the pool side after spending little time in the jacuzzi we went to go in the sauna and steam room and 1 was out of order.the sun beds were out of order. Two of us had had out treatment (which was probably the only good thing about the day) So we wanted to just sit by he pool and chill (that's what your supposed to do on a spa day) While I was sitting watching something on my phone with my headphones in a personal trainer came over to me and said no phones at the pool, put it in your locker or else and walked away So we went upto the relaxing room which wasn't relaxing as the door kept opening because they were using it for a waiting room for people having treatments done and it was right next door to a very busy gym where you could hear constant banging. We did not feel welcomed atall and felt like everything we did was being watched . I will definitely never return to Peterborough bannatyne but highly recommend the Leicester one as that is actually a relaxing day .

Negative experience: Miserable members off staff. Especially when serving you food. Mould and grime in the showers. Asked to cancel my membership due to financial reason. Instead of being helped I get slapped with a £400 bill. Passed on to a debt management company. Disgusting customer service!!

Positive experience: Joined mainly for the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Swimming pool is good but the sauna and steam room never feel hot. I could sit in them all day and not break out into a sweat which is disappointing as I joined and pay a premium price for these facilities.

Fantastic experience: My daughter took me here yesterday for a surprise birthday treat, it was 5* from the minute we walked to the minute we walked out, was greeted at reception and was shown around, i had a back massage, head massage and facial by a lovely lady called Melissa Rhodes, she was so friendly and all the therapists were very welcoming, the spa was very clean and nothing was to much trouble,we also had information and help from a young man Luke jones, he couldn’t have been nicer so thank you all for such a lovely day. The food was nice and nothing was to much trouble, the only thing I wasn’t keen on was was when relaxing on the loungers by the pool side there was quite a few young kids shouting and screaming which is fine if your not trying to have a relaxing day.

Fantastic experience: Had a very relaxed day today. Club was easy to find with plenty of parking. Swimming pool is large 20mt and split into two sections so that I was able to swim without dodging people. Two jacuzzis, not very big, didn't use as not a fan of them, too hot. There was a large 'jacuzzi' seating section attached to pool which was lovely and cool post swim. Two steam rooms and saunas decent size and as expected, loved the nasal clearing scent in steam room. My only complaint about the pool area was that there were a few tiles missing and the pool walls need a good scrub. There were loungers available but they were very low and difficult to get out of. I had superb spa treatments with Charlie, a back massage and mini facial with scalp massage, they were bliss. Overall a great club with excellent facilities, I will revisit definitely.
