Negative experience: Poor service, dirty changing area. Rip off with the swimming lessons pay money to have them teach and they don't.

Fantastic experience: Nice leisure centre, although the showers were not great. The water was warm in the pool. We could of done with a bit longer than an hour in the pool. We had a nice time though.

Positive experience: Only 1 hour you canstay in the swimming pool even it is family time. They do not renovate or develop anything.

Positive experience: I go with my granddaughter I feel the pool would benefit from an update. I don't think its changed in 30 years.

Fantastic experience: Very good leisure centre went to the main hall to a 8yre old birthday party. Staff very helpful and go out of their way to assist regarding parking relating disabled blue parking badge. The hall was great and cannot fault it. Had a bouncy castle and it was set up by the staff. Well done 100% credit to the leasure centre at Felixstowe. DIMOND. Brilliant under the sea theme

Negative experience: Hi, We came to this leisure centre on our holiday. Firstly I would like to state me and my daughter are autistic. When we first came in we asked for help for where things are located for eg changing rooms. We have never been here before and we needed to know where we were going. We where then told by reception to just on the time come in and go through the gates. That's it. No help on finding anything or where we were going. We then found the changing rooms and the Female ones where locked. A small child was knocking on the outside of it to get in. We waiting when an adult finally unlocked it and the adults in there gave us dirty looks. That's when we left the facility. We ended up both having meltdowns. This could have been prevented if staff where nicer and actually told us where things are. Please be kind and considerate to all your customers. Paid £16 just for unhelpful staff and just to leave anyways. If anyone else was in our position it would have caused them stress aswell. Please be kinder.

Negative experience: This leisure centre was the worst leisure centre I have ever been to. There was grime and dirt everywhere and I booked a family fun inflatable session but no inflatables in use. The slide was shut and the water was horribly cold. My family and I stayed 5 mins then left £20 lighter. This place needs a bit of TLC except from the reception which was quite nice

Fantastic experience: My 3 year old loves the slide. The staff are really friendly, it's clean and great to have the music playing. This is one of our favourite places to go.

Fantastic experience: Great place to bring kids, massive flume/ slide. It's like 3 pools joined together, with a connecting bridge you can swim under. Kids loved it, I loved it :)

Positive experience: Felixstowe leisure centre is really good. The water is really warm and there is a good variety of slides and inflatables. We went there for a kids party and it’s well set up for this kind of event including having an area for parents to sit right next to the pool. One to note, the car park next to the pool is really cheap £1.70 for 2 hours, but it isn’t the biggest.

Positive experience: I grew up going swimming here weekly, it’s still a nice place to come to but just a shame things aren’t how they used to be. The fountains don’t work, things are looking a little run down. The biggest issue for me is the lack of baby changing facilities. I had to wait 20 mins for a family room on my last visit. The cubicles are small so changing tables can’t be put in them and there’s only 1 Pull down in the changing room which is usually being used too. If I lay my boy on the bench he will roll off. Despite the above we travel from stowmarket to swim here because of the location & the pools are better than the standard ones in my area.

Positive experience: Good pool, good price. But poor changing facilities as a family with a young child. Not enough family change areas, and the 2 they do have were very dirty and smelly. The rest of the changing areas were good.

Fantastic experience: Very clean premises with clean toilets. The staff are kind and allowed us to use their toilets. All the public toilets in the area are under refurbishment and closed. Only portable toilets are available as public toilets!

Positive experience: I take adult swimming lessons here with my coach. The staff are very helpful, welcoming. Treat you like friends. I have been coming here for nearly three years now, if it wasn't for my coach and the staff at the centre I would not have found my love for water this late in life. So thank you all. I don't use all of the facilities so I can't tell you what the classes are like or even what classes they have but they are all marked up online with their memberships but your better off popping in and booking a tour for half hour. To see what suits your needs. They have swimming for those with disabilities as well and so much more.......

Positive experience: Love this pool, good temperature water and love going on the flume. Gym is a bit outdated and needs some TLC but is a good gym still as has a wide range of equipment. All reasonably priced great afternoon out.

Positive experience: Always a lovely family day spent here. Needs a decent refurbishment as slides are a bit of a state & the kids pools could do with a bit of tlc!

Fantastic experience: I go early in the morning and as a felixstowe resident pay £3.20. Very friendly staff , fairly warm, clean pool. Only downside is when people spread out over the lanes and chat or swim in front of you and make you stop.

Negative experience: Overpriced, pools cold, stupid 1 hour slots, the price wouldn't be as bad if the slots were not there. No cafe or any refreshments. Half the lockers dont work. Changing facilities are crap, to small, no benches or pegs, 3 family rooms that are dirty and smell.

Positive experience: Only go for swimming. Clean. Staff friendly Only downside is the absolute carnage that is the "steady lane" which is full of people walking, chatting, swimming painfully slowly. Would be potentially better to offer sessions of open pool so everyone can spread out. Or open the smaller pool for slower people who don't want to feel pressured (suggested by an elderly swimmer).

Positive experience: A very nice hour or so was spent by me on a Monday afternoon relaxing in the main pool, trying to rid myself of pesky sciatica and it is helping me thinnks. Will go back again as the staff were very pleasant and helpful and facilities were clean.

Positive experience: Went on a Sunday for the family inflatable session. Easy to book online and really reasonably priced. Pools were warm. Took 4 children of various ages and they all had a great time. The only thing I have an issue with is that I phoned before I booked and I specifically asked, will my 3 year old with a float vest be allowed on the inflatable and I was told she could, but when I arrived the life guard said she couldnt do the whole course, just the first obstacle, So that was annoying. But apart from that we had a really good time. Will be going again

Negative experience: We moved to Felixstowe three years ago and loved coming to the pool with our [then] one-year old child. Now we have two children, we hoped to continue bringing our youngest swimming during the week whilst the other is at school. However, the management of this leisure centre seem to forget they have a dedicated children’s pool - this particular pool is only open on Tuesdays for 2 hours in the morning, and weekends. Honestly, who came up with that? The amount of families we know who would love to turn up with their small children and go swimming, it beggars belief that the management prioritise the lane swimming. Most of us avoid the pool at weekends as busy periods could be scary for the little ones, especially introducing them to swimming for the first time and building their confidence around water. There needs to be consideration that the majority of people entertaining children during the week wish to simply turn up at a swimming pool and be able to go in - not having to negotiate a labyrinth of timetables to see when it’s YOUR turn to swim, and then finding out two hours per week is all that’s available. I’m fairly confident that there’s more money to be made from parents trying to entertain children than they realise. Half of the entire pool area is left completely vacant so lane swimming can go ahead - bonkers. I hope the new leisure development being built has a better plan for the mid-week clientele. EDIT: It’s now February half term and after calling to check whether I can bring my children swimming today at any point, I’ve been told that the pool is booked for alternative activities all day so is unavailable for family swimming or the toddler pool. However, I could bring them from 6pm onwards this evening… Management, what are you doing?! How many parents of small children and toddlers are in their right mind going to go swimming late at night?! You’d think they’d try and tap into families wanting to swim in half term, wouldn’t you?

Positive experience: Reasonably sized pool, not usually too crowded in the mornings when I go. Husband uses the gym - not the biggest selection of equipment, but enough for him. The place needs freshening up - several pieces of gym equipment not working and a good clean throughout. Still worth it for the price.

Positive experience: Clean water in pool. Lanes well organised for different speed swimmers. Helpful staff. Scott explained everything. Reasonable changing areas. 20p, returnable, for a locker that can hold a backpack.

Positive experience: Pool is awesome goes really deep and has parts for children with a good slide. But facilities were atrocious with only 2 out of 5 showers on the mens side actually working and changing room cubicles without doors with the ones that did having loose lock and a big gap for everyone to see through. Great place for fun but getting changed there is a mess.

Fantastic experience: Saturday 13th Jan 2024 was my 1st session in the new spin studio. Great new bikes, & for me, a better atmosphere in the darkened studio with the lighting effects. It should be even better when the aircon is connected & the sensor for the lighting arrives, so that the lighting pulses to the music.

Positive experience: Memberships are a pain. Once you get it sorted out with the helpful staff it's all systems go. Memberships would be amazing if you could buy a main package and then have add ons, that would be perfect. Changing rooms are bad (powder on the floor, hair around cubicles) the staff do come in and mop the floor if you tell the front desk it's a mess. Staff are always friendly and helpful. I use the facilties every week!

Positive experience: My first swim for 20 years and it was great, water was right temp, neither too hot nor too cold. Everywhere was clean and socialy distanced.

Massive shame about the company that does the payments for them, absolutely cannot get anything right like changing details or even canceling the right membership! I miss my membership but refuse to go back to them whilst the external agency run it
