Negative experience: The £20 joining fee is rip off there are plenty of rival gyms in area which don't charge & have far better facilities

Positive experience: Decent gym and at certain times it can be really nice and quiet but today the music / speakers were so loud I could hear it over my headphones at full volume. I asked the staff to turn it down and he simply said can’t I turn up my music. It was already at max and I think ultimately the staff should make the gym accomodating to it’s members and music to that volume is a bit much. The sauna and steam room 90% of the time is out of commission but ultimately you get what you pay for

Fantastic experience: I have been wanting to join a gym again for a while but have been nervous to start again I went to have a look at the gym and the girls on the front desk made me feel welcome instantly! Encourage me to go and do a workout the support was the best by far thank you so much Morgan and the other young lady at the desk honestly you both have made my day I feel loads more motivated and confident to go back

Negative experience: Great Gym , fair pricing however for reasons unknown at present the membership rules are due to change on members as follows : Bournville college staff - free membership full access . General public - full access with full payed membership. Students over 16 yrs old - full access with full payed membership . Full payed members who join the college as a student & happy to continue to pay full membership as per any other member of the public - Full membership revoked once current payed month expires . Bournville college students are not permitted to hold a full membership. A college gym located in Bournville / south city college does not allow Bournville college students to pay a full membership as per any other member of the public . Please advise

Fantastic experience: Nice little gym with all equipment you need at an affordable price. They do classes and have sauna as well !

Negative experience: Can some one tell me when the sauna is going to be fixed cuz when I joined u said a couple of weeks this has now been over two months some one needs to pull there finger out and get some answers keep getting told its out of there hands Well I'm sorry but that's just palming us off I'm under no obligation to keep to my direct debit as you are failing to provide a service you told me would be given.

Fantastic experience: It’s a college gym that is open to the public for a few hours per day. £ it casts the same as everlast intro price £20 but without the pool and jacuzzi. But as I say it’s a student gym. Personally it’s fine for me. I take it for what it is. They could do with cleaning it more than once per week but apart from that, it’s fine. Get your workout in and get a steam or sauna, grab a nearly warm shower and leave it at that. The staff are cool too but again…. Young people so young people issues. But I have young people who live with me so I’m okay with that too. No complaints from me

Positive experience: Sauna and steam room finally open but now effectively only open 3.5 days per week as it's now single sex only. It was ok previously with two days a week being single sex but this permanent segregation is just silly; the UK is a secular country and religious values should not dictate publicly funded facilities. The gym is good, decent equipment but some machines are broken for long periods of time. Changing rooms are always quite dirty with many broken lockers. Some clientele are extremely badly behaved sat on machines talking and threaten violence when asked to vacate if they are not using. Staff disinterested in intervening. Good value membership fees, I guess you get what you pay for..

Negative experience: Previously rated this 5 stars but that's all changed. The touch screens on the running equipment is a lucky dip in regards to what setting you get, been like that for months, the gym staff nod politely but nothing happens. The showers stink, all it would take is a bottle of bleach down the shower traps over night once a month but that would involve taking action so that's not going to happen. The toilets and showers are a joke, who ever designed them needs to go back to crayons and colouring books and steer clear of any design related tasks. You quite literally have to back yourself in to a cubicle, turn 45', breath in and if you're less than 9st wringing wet you might just get the door to close. The steam room stinks of mould. The sauna is about the only part of that area that a. Doesn't stink, b. Works. The showers are on push button timers that only last for 3-5 seconds, the water is so hot that you sweat just as hard coming out of the shower as you do in the gym. The tropical and rain fall shower in the steam/sauna area is a trickle of water, all it would take is for the shower nozzles to be soaked overnight in a descale solution, told the gym staff but nothing happens. The lockers are always taken... Which is really strange as you can go into the gym and there will be 6 people in there yet nearly all the 50+ lockers are taken... How does that work? In the summer the changing room is like a sauna, no air circulation and no way to open the windows as (back to the designer with his crayons) no one thought to put opening windows in a male gym changing room. Really is a poor run down gym, with zero maintenance on the equipment or facilities.

Fantastic experience: 1st time been back for a while, nice, clean, not many people hugging the equipment, friendly staff, all good.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Healthy Balance Fitness for 6 months doing the Urban Fitness class at Bournville College and am really happy with the way I look and feel. If you want a great workout with great people come along and join this class!

Negative experience: I went in today and wanted to join the gym but I was absolutely disappointed by the environment .firstly they did not had a sufficient play list of songs and there were some kids in the gym and suddenly a song come up which made one of the stuff up and running towards the a little laptop one the corner to switch to a more acceptable song!!!!! this was not the end of story. I had to change a few treadmills and all were shuttered .one touch screen was not working the other one push button. And to my absolute disappointment sauna was not at all proper there was no seat outside the sauna and steam room and if you stay inside them you would not get warm like you do in other local gyms. They were really making me as warm as running.so I hope they fix their problems because that s not worth it for 20 quid.at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Positive experience: Nice small gym, very friendly and good equipment. It is always clean and with the sports hall available for activities it is great. There is a small sauna and steam room that is allocated to males / femails on certain days.

Fantastic experience: Great gym - equipment all tip top condition, plenty of choice and lots of space. Never feels crowded and is always clean and welcoming.

Positive experience: The gym is okay but fat too small and the sauna is a real disappointment. You can only use it on certain days, and I can't go in with my wife as it is men on some days, women on others. That probably appeals to some, but I will never use it as she gives me the confidence to do those sort of things. However, the badminton courts are the best for miles around, and free for members to use. I will keep my membership for badminton, but won't use any other facilities.
