Fantastic experience: Incredible day-fantastic gift. Brilliant staff and services. Thank you all

Negative experience: Bought for my wife and advertised as half day spa - well it’s 2 hours in the small print which is fair enough. However, 30 mins off that is having a treatment so just under 90 mins use of facilities. Really looking forward to the swimming pool but instead a very loud class was on and the pool closed!? Pumping loud music in the sauna and steam room so hardly relaxing. Really disappointing and expensive for what it is. I’d look at other spa’s in the area as an alternative with the fact you are not even guaranteed to be able to use the facilities you pay for.

Fantastic experience: Visited Reynolds Retreat on 14th December. Beautiful spa and nice facilities. Also very attentive service from Luke at the lunch service who made us feel very comfortable and at ease with our allergies. Will definitely come back again.

Fantastic experience: Been here three times now, had three fantastic visits. I’ve been to many competing spa’s and Reynolds really is up there. The location is beautiful, especially sitting back in the spa during the Summer looking out at those incredible views. The treatments were of an extremely high standard, i had 5 treatments over the visits and they were some of the best id ever experienced. The staff were very kind and attentive. I’m normally very wary of these reviews but really i would recommend to my loved ones.

Absolutely 100% recomend if you are looking for somewhere to escape with friends/loved ones or if you need somewhere to be alone and unwind from the stresses of everyday this is the place.

Fantastic experience: I spent the day here and I had a fabulous time from the treatments to the spa facilities and the beautiful breakfast and afternoon tea. I will be back.

Positive experience: Came for the "experience" package I think it was. The setting is beautiful, the staff all friendly but the main pool was a bit cold, thankfully there was a mini one attached which was so nice but busy. The afternoon tea was great and tasty considering we had so many dietary requirements as a group. The relaxation room wasn't super relaxing (lights are a bit bright!) but nice place to sit down before our treatments. The lady who did my treatments was great but I will say turned up a few minutes late which ate into my appointment time - bit frustrating when it says on the sheet to be 15 minutes early which we were. Overall it was a lovely afternoon but nothing standout for the price.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this spa - i visited here for the first time today, for the Ultimate Spa Day package. Throughout, my experience was amazing - the staff were attentive and very friendly, and the facilities and grounds were superb and well kept. I had a lava shell massage, a neck and decolette massage, and a facial- all of these were really good. The food was delicious too. Thank you to the team for having me!

Negative experience: Been treated to a few spa days at the Sevenoaks branch over the last 2 years and were the food and facilities are perfect the actual treatments are seriously short and very poor quality. The youngsters girls doing the treatments put little to no effort into them. My last visit was 13th Oct as birthday present and both me and partner were really disappointed especially with the amount we spent

Fantastic experience: A group of mums came for the day and we had a wonderful time. The spa is set in lovely grounds and the staff all very friendly. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and afternoon tea so good it had beaten us!! So a couple of boxes came back with us! The staff in the spa and the treatments were brilliant and we all felt very relaxed. They also managed to have all 5 of us have our treatments at the same time which was perfect. Will definitely be back again.

Positive experience: Lovely afternoon tea in a stunning location. The food and service I couldn't fault but as for the treatment I wasn't very impressed at all. My husband had a massage and he enjoyed it. I had the facial and I can honestly say it was the worst treatment that I have ever experienced. The therapist didn't talk to me or even look at me, she was either inexperienced or very shy which didn't make for a welcoming or enjoyable experience. The room was cold, the treatment was cut short and to be honest I couldn't wait to get out of the room. This was brought as a gift and we were celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary which did spoil it slightly. I would go back again but I would think twice about having any treatment.

Fantastic experience: Went to the Reynolds Retreat with my wife and had a great day. My wife had a back massage with Laura and I had a head massage with Lola they were excellent at their job, the spa was clean and tidy. The afternoon tea was really good. All the staff were very friendly from the start of the day till the very end. A well deserved brake we had, and will definitely need to do it again :)

Fantastic experience: It is a WOW venue, commencing with a roving driveway, enveloped with a canopy of impressive established trees which is home for some deer which I was privileged to see. The grand Victorian building nestles in the extensive woodland. The luxurious infinity pool is idyllic, the heated tile loungers ensure that any stress melts away. We had the most amazing day and are looking forward to our next visit. All the staff were so welcoming, we look forward to having some treatments next time as fellow guests were singing the praises of the therapists and they were extremely happy with the service they received. A truly wonderful and refreshing experience. Xx

Fantastic experience: My favourite place. It’s so relaxing and the staff are lovely. I have been a few times this year and the food is amazing. My friends and I have had massages and facials - the treatments are so lovely and the products they use smell amazing.

Fantastic experience: The best spa day we’ve had, very modern, stunning views. The treatments we had were brilliant. The afternoon tea was perfection all freshly made by the chef who presents it to you explaining what everything is, he is very talented! The young man serving in the lounge was excellent so helpful and made the experience fun! Such a great day we will be revisiting soon.

Fantastic experience: Had an absolutely dreamy Spa day with my friend and I highly recommend. From the moment we arrived I was in awe of how beautiful the surroundings are. A true escape and break. The day was so special and luxury and relaxing. Greeted with the warmest friendliest staff, had a delicious breakfast in the lovely restaurant and was shown around the beautiful spa. Had two 25 treatments which were fantastic and the staff were wonderful. We then enjoyed the beautiful facilities which are all so clean, original and well looked after. The pool is a great size and the view is so stunning. Being surrounded by nature is the perfect way to relax. This spa had some of the best facilities and the changing rooms were very nice. Our afternoon tea was so nice, impressed with all the food and the whole day start to finish. Such good value and such a gem. Will be visiting again ☺️

Negative experience: Had a full body massage at Reynolds Retreat Sevenoaks - my masseuse was a girl named Sophie. I was very disappointed with the massage - I had to ask twice for her to apply more pressure, it felt like more than a back rub than a massage. She never greeted me with her name, it felt extremely rushed and finished before 55 minutes were up. With a full body massage I would expect a small time to be dedicated to head/scalp but ended very abruptly. I will not be visiting again unfortunately.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful setting and a fabulous set up of gym and sports equipment. All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. There is also an excellent swimming pool with stream room and sauna to enjoy.

Negative experience: My friend and I were so excited about our treatments, we both booked a deep tissue massage and facial. Her experience was fantastic and rated it highly, mine was terrible. My therapist barely greeted me, didn't tell me her name, clearly rushed my treatments as I finished 15minutes before my friend. My room also didn't have spa music. I did tell the reception staff about my experience and they assured me they would sort it out and find out what happened. After the afternoon tea as I was leaving the spa, the reception staff asked if I wanted to see management, surely they should have been proactive in handling the situation. Really disappointed in the service. The positives were the afternoon tea and my friends experience!

Fantastic experience: A fabulous experience when booking last minute (with Lena) and being warmly welcomed on our first visit to Reynolds. All the staff were lovely and the food was outstanding. The extra surprise cakes for our Wedding Anniversary completed the experience. We’ll be back for another visit - thank you to all of the team there on Tuesday 27th August.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic day out at the Reynolds Spa, lovely staff, Nathanial on reception a great member of staff and didn’t stop all day, Elizabeth did an excellent massage. The place was spotless, staff excellent, views are stunning and we were totally chilled and topped off with a cream tea a lovely day out when it was awful weather outside. Well done Reynolds and team, looking forward to returning.

Plus it's not relaxing listening to people on their phones working (members no doubt)

Fantastic experience: My mum and I had a really lovely, relaxing day here for a special treat. Staff were all friendly in all parts of the spa and nothing was too much hassle when we asked. We had a cream tea and tried their iced frappes too which were good. The only critique would be the changing facilities, the showers are very old and need pressing every 30 seconds and also were a set temperature of very very hot! However, this would not prevent us from returning. Would recommend this for a treat or special occasion.

Negative experience: Although some facilities, massage and tea were great the pool was cold, empty most day. The main problem was for me accessibility. It's on 3 levels, there was a lift from ground to 1st floor where changing rooms were (note 6 showers and 1 toilet Although 2 toilets along corridor not freat in swimsuit). There was a very old lift from 1st our to 2nd floor where treatments were, very Jerry, but we were stuck ages between floors until lady realised she had to keep finger on button or it didn't move at all The biggest problem was a very steep staircase from changing room to pool. I got down it but struggled back up as have mobility problems. After tea decided not to even try it again so we just left. Didn't see anywhere any warning about accessibility and won't be able to go there again. PS lovely beige sofas in rest areas but filthy really need a good clean!!

Positive experience: A very good spa - could be even better with some changes! Positives- - amazing location in beautiful rural setting. You can really enjoy it from the restaurant terrace. - love the heated loungers, the thermal showers. Pool is a decent size. It has very good spa offerings. - staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. - I think the afternoon tea is one of the best going around. - good selection of drinks particularly English sparkling wine, available to buy at restaurant. Room for improvement- - more seating area for lounging in spa. I think they need to sort this ASAP. The heated loungers are often full and the seating area around the pool doesn’t work in the same way for relaxing. You don’t want to hang out in the spa if you can’t sit down to relax. - outdoor access from spa. You can see the beautiful Japanese garden from the loungers but on a warm day, it would be nice to sit outside directly from the spa (and solve the issue with two stones there providing more lounge space!) My only other complaint is I’m slightly suspicious the treatment times get shortchanged. I’ve been twice now and my treatment was quite under the prescribed 40 minutes (this included me waiting past my appointed time in the lounge). Maybe I’ve been unlucky but am keeping an eye on it!

Fantastic experience: Had a spa day with my daughter. Upon arrival, we were shown around. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Our treatments and therapists were amazing. We also had the cream tea, which was ok. Swimming and hydrotherapy pool were perfect temperature. Sauna and steam room were spacious, and the sauna had a window looking out onto the grounds. We loved the foot spas as well. There are 2 monsoon showers, and only one was working but not properly, which is a shame. Only Improvement I would suggest is to have some slip mats in the walkways between the steamroom to the pool as it gets really slippery.

Positive experience: Had a spa day, staff very welcoming and friendly, shown where everything was, good size pool, steam room and sauna had plenty of room. Good afternoon tea in a lovely bar with a nice terrace.

Negative experience: We came here for a couple’s break and left disappointed. Facilities are rundown in the spa with the showers not working and a smell of drains. The lounge service is just awful, we ordered 2 flat whites for £8 which came as lattes, asked for a filter coffee which the waitress forgot, when reminded we over heard them moaning that we had already had a coffee! To top it off they added an £8 service charge for the 2 terrible coffees and rude/absent service. Only redeeming service is the treatments which were fantastic.

Positive experience: Been several times and always been great - treatments are always good and were again but this time despite the costs going up we paid for breakfast use of spa treatments and afternoon tea and were charged a service charge of £16 fir having food! The jacuzzi kept shorting and only worked intermittently, no ice fountain as out of order, air conditioning was filthy and all grills covered in dust, several tiles missing from various places around the pool. Won’t be back as the service charge was the last straw- food great but was part of package

Fantastic experience: Fantastic spa day here with my daughter. Great birthday surprise. Breakfast was lovely, service was great, nothing too much trouble. Spa treatments were very relaxing. The spa facilities were enjoyed, the swim, showers and foot bath being my favourites. Robes etc were appreciated for the day. Cream tea at lunch was lovely and enough food. Loved the Prosecco. Left feeling very relaxed and looking forward to going back.

Negative experience: Treatments were very nice but there was no where comfortable or relaxing to lie down, read a book or just chill out in between. The relaxation room was a sitting room with sofas and the 4 loungers in the pool area were hard and fixed in position. Noted this was also feedback from 7 months ago, but clearly not taken on board. Breakfast was good, but overall the food was way over-seasoned, and lunch was inedible. Back to Champneys for me!

Fantastic experience: Was welcomed in straight away. Shown around. Thoroughly enjoyed the spa. Had 2 hours just relaxing and chilling in the pool, hydrotherapy pool, monsoon showers, foot spas and the lovely steam room saunas. Then we had a lovely afternoon tea. Yum. I ate the lot! Then came the most amazing massage I've ever had. Was so good I almost fell asleep. Super relaxing. We felt brand new afterwards.

Negative experience: The restaurant was just awful, long wait times and honestly the worst meal I’ve had. I asked for bacon with my meal, and please see the photo but they literally cut strips idk. I don’t usually write reviews but this was terrible. The meal looks aesthetically nice but tastes awful. Spa is okay, defo not worth the price, there’s nothing that makes it feel like a lovely spa experience as advertised as an “spa day experience”

Fantastic experience: I came for a look around today and was most impressed. Sam on the front desk was amazing , so welcoming and extremely helpful. The facilities look great and the whole place has a very relaxing and calm vibe. Can’t wait to come and spend the day here. Thanks Sam. You deserve a promotion ✨✨✨

Positive experience: A lovely day spent here with amenities on offer. Service for food and drink was a bit slow but the staff seemed run off their feet but all welcoming and friendly. Afternoon tea was lovely. The four relax beds in pool area were often reserved with towels and bags but not occupied while the guests were using other facilities. Perhaps a polite notice placed in the area would allow other guests to use them. A relaxing and enjoyable day.

Negative experience: I recently visited the spa for the day as a birthday treat. I found booking the spa very difficult and they were very inflexible when I had some unexpected hospital treatment that meant I had to move my visit. I also had to pay more for various extras, despite my partner already paying near £200 for the initial voucher e.g. if I wanted to come on a Friday. When I did eventually manage to get to the spa, the surroundings were lovely but the treatments were well below my expectations. I had a gel nails applied (I had to pay an extra £12 for gels, so £32 for the whole treatment), during my treatment I was informed this didn’t include cuticles and I should have paid for a different treatment. The gels were applied poorly and started peeling off the next day. I informed the spa and sent pictures but they didn’t replied. Overall, a really disappointing service and not good value for money.

Negative experience: Reynolds have proven to be an untrustworthy company that attempt to lock members into contracts and don't care for the local community. I signed up for a 3 month contract with Reynolds and as my 3 months was ending received numerous emails and texts asking me to become a member. It was quite a surprise after this to realise they had auto renewed my contract after telling me to sign up again. Upon querying received a couple of emails then radio silence before submitting my account to a debt agency 6 months later. I tried to work with Reynolds to find amicable solution as my local gym but management were not interested. Seems like a terrible way to do business. Not compliant with CMA practices to remind customers of auto renewal and claiming debts when not providing access to the gym. Unlawful bullying. A shame that a business I previously thought highly of couldn't do better.

Positive experience: Spa day really good value with 3 treatments

Positive experience: I generally love Reynolds but had a disappointing experience at the end of November and have had no contact despite being told that I would. This was a spa day with two friends for our joint 40th celebrations and unfortunately the restaurant was not great. The restaurant manager wasn’t really attentive and service wasn’t great, she then tried to bill us £17 service on top of £9 extras we purchased beyond the inclusive breakfast and afternoon tea, insistent that that service was on the entire spa package which makes no sense as one isn’t charged service on the package ordinarily. More so, she and her colleague made it clear they were not sure how to charge for the extras we had and only when we got fed up waiting and I said we had to go did she come up with this arbitrary number. The service was so poor that day that we ultimately decided not to pay the optional service charge; this was a shame and tainted what was otherwise a lovely day

Fantastic experience: Reynolds retreat is a great place to relax, work out and spend time with friend and family. The staff are friendly and helpful which makes the experience even better. As a member of Reynolds I enjoy the social aspect of the club.

Fantastic experience: Attended this establishment with my wife for an anniversary treat, she paid so I have no idea of value for money but I had a fabulous time, a great back massage and cleanse, used the facilities, had breakfast and lunch and it was lovely and thoroughly enjoyable. A really relaxing day, which was the purpose of it all.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I had a lovely spa day at Reynolds Retreat this summer. The spa is nice, the treatments and the staff were great and the food was wonderful! Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Terrible spa smells like urine by pools and no cleaning between foot spa, water isn't warm plus no jacuzzi jets for muscles, the female changing room needs shutting down its the absolute breeding ground for bacteria and fungus.Cancelled membership on the day I was repulsed.zNot a cleanr or bleach scent in sight.

They have the best energy, and customer service is maintained to the highest standard, and more importantly you're always asked how you are and they genuinely care for members. Lastly, please acknowledge the amazing treasure that is Phillippa! From boxercise to the most amazing yoga practice, she lights up every class she teaches with positive optimism that you have no other choice but to feel motivated to do your best! She is a powerhouse of fitness expertise which really deserves to be valued.

Fantastic experience: I had such a brilliant time at the spa, everything was very luxurious and the view was like being away in a tropical country. The food was really tasty and plentiful. I had a facial and felt very pampered. I am planning to come back soon.

Positive experience: My daughter and I enjoyed our experience at the retreat. A good variety of pool facilities to try out. Lovely decking area beautiful scenery across the woodlands. We went on the nature walk and got lost but we managed to find our way back with sat nav just in time for our treatments, throughly recommend both exfoliating and the back shoulder and neck massage. And literally the cherry on the cake eas a fabulous high tea the full works. Will definately come again.

Fantastic experience: I took my mum here for a spa day yesterday and we had such a wonderful time. First impressions were great and the facilities were relaxing and spotless. Our treatments were amazing and we will definitely be returning in the future.

Positive experience: Lovely pool however in some of the facilities, could be better, the shower mode “hot” and have to keep pressed, the poolside was uncomfortable and humid/ stuffy atmosphere. The staff were lovely, the food was delicious

Positive experience: We were welcomed by friendly ladies who then explained how the day would go and how it all works with regards to our treatments and high tea, we were shown around and supplied with a bag that had a towel, robe and slippers. Some of the robes did have a little wear and tear that was visible but over all everything was in a good condition, the treatments were lovely and the technician was friendly and answered all my questions. The pools were lovely and over all a good day out.

Positive experience: Lovely spa - very nice hydro pool, sauna & steam. Nice terrace to eat lunch and have a drink. The spa day was very good value. However, there was a complete lack of quiet places to lie down and chill out / read a book. Could do with some loungers (there are four inside but they were never free). There was a 'relaxation room' but it was more like a lounge with sofas - would be nice if these were changed for loungers/sun beds. A small outside deck with loungers would also be a welcomed addition. Minimising parties to four would be good, as there was a large loud group while we were there, which wasn't particularly relaxing.

Fantastic experience: Recently visited Reynolds Retreat with a friend. We had an amazing time, such a wonderful place. We thoroughly enjoyed our treatments and use of the facilities. Afternoon tea was very nice too. We hope to return again in the very near future.

Fantastic experience: I visited the Spa at the weekend for my hen party and had the best time. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. The afternoon tea we had was absolutely delicious. We were all really happy with the facilities that were on offer. The pool side is a bit slippery so definitely a good idea to bring flip flops or sliders. Everywhere looked clean and well presented. We spent all day there and it felt good value for money and we left feeling like we'd had a mini holiday. We will certainly be going back again :)

Positive experience: The staff where really lovely but the venue could do with an upgrade, everything feels a bit tired. My treatments where fine and I felt relaxed but the problem is there is no where to really relax in comfort - I would suggest some lay flat sunloungers and outdoor sun beds. It was the first spa I have been too where there where just chairs everywhere. Food was good. But I wouldn't return.

Positive experience: Nice relaxing day with lovely warm pools. Went as a couple and did really truly relax we both had a massage the only thing was that we would have wanted to be in a room together but that wasn’t an option

Positive experience: After reading some semi mixed reviews I found that I was pleasantly surprised with the spa. Some parts of the place do indeed look a bit tired, (the water dispenser in the relaxation lounge was a bit dirty and broken, but they brought jugs as an alternative quickly and some of the spa bags had seen better days). But generally, the place was kept clean and functional. The pools and jacuzzi were both a suitable heat with the jacuzzi a lot warmer so I think this has been fixed since the last reviews. The area near the pool gets very slippy so I recommend taking flipflops or sliders for walking around. I went on the spa package and I think it was good value for money mainly because you ahve access to the spa for the day, whereas similar priced packages offer only 4 hours of spa time. This meant we had time to have treatments, eat lunch, have a coffee and enjoy the spa in-between all of these. The treatments were great and very relaxing, the therapists were polite and professional and I really enjoy my time over all. The afternoon tea was standard but tasted nice so no real complaints as I mainly came for the spa. FYI: If you don't book a spa package, you won't get a robe and slippers. and failure to return the spa bag at the end of the day will cost you £25.

Fantastic experience: It was my husbands birthday treat today, a full body message...it was wonderful...Gemma did mine I think nicola did his...they were very pleasant and caring for our needs...atmosphere was just perfect...music was soothing. Massage was great. Thank you x

Positive experience: Wonderful location and one of the nicest spa's I have been to. Staff friendly. The pool and steam room and sauna are wonderful. The massage was one of the best I have ever had... Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 it was not as peaceful as I like a spa. It was not busy on the day we went so on a busy day I would not like it... Ps omg can you turn down the air con in the men's changing rooms please very cold...

Negative experience: Never would return and since speaking to people they also had the same views . The venue is beautiful and that’s what they must rely on but the staff management is awful lack of experience or willing to correct a problem for the customer to feel better. I have a lot of facials and I’ve never been cold and left to wait for a mask to set while not experiencing a massage on hands or scalp. It’s a very cold lost place. We wasn’t allowed a refund and I haven’t received a email I was promised .

Fantastic experience: We had an absolutely fantastic day at Reynolds Sevenoaks. The staff were friendly & helpful, the facilities were clean. Treatments & spa facilities on offer were varied and high quality. We LOVED the view out to the grounds and the fact you can see it from the pool, the loungers and the sauna. Would have liked if the pool was a tad warmer but that's the only criticism I have. It's also not easily accessible by public transport which wasn't a problem for me as I was going with people who drive but if you don't then this is something to consider. It's worth it though, if you can get there. The afternoon tea was delicious and I'm so grateful there was a great vegan option. We went on Mother's Day and when I booked, I was told that we nabbed the last spaces. I mention this because the facilities did not feel crowded or full at all, but relaxingly quiet. If that's the busiest they get then you're in for a treat whenever you go. We are already planning our next visits and can't wait to come back again. Thank you Reynolds for a wonderful day.
